Logs
#21013 - 2:13:00 PM; Arrived in the Blue Mountains last night with the geohoney for a couple of days of R&R. While the geohoney browsed the retail opportunities along the Leura Mall, I set off for a few of the nearby caches, including this one. Did a park and grab as we headed out of town towards the Norman lidsay Gallery in Faulconbridge. All in good order and replaced as found once I signed/stamped the log. TFTC pjmpjm
Greetings from Wales. After a few days in Sydney we have moved onto the Blue Mountains but blimey it ain't half cold up here. Today we first visited Echo Point and then spent the day at the Scenic Railway which was really good fun. After a day at the Scenic Railway the family went for a poke about in Leura while I went to grab a few extra caches. A quick find in the first place I looked so log signed and replaced as found. Thanks for the cache.
Found with Portstevo on our BM adventure, heading home and hunting caches along the way, grabbed some TBs in Katoomba to take east/north. Tftc
Managed to make short work of this one today on my way back onto the hwy, nice hide it fit's in there wellThanks for the cache
Checked on this one today and discovered that a recent finder, or maybe a muggle, had pushed it far, far back in its hiding place, making it very difficult to remove. After about ten minutes of struggling and fiddling, I got the container out and have left it in its proper hiding place. Remember that this cache isn't hidden in a tree. The Christmas Tree in the title is located on the other side of the road!
A lovely little park! Not quite deserted today as there's roadwork just up the road but still very nice. All the spring flowers are just opening up along the paths
Yay! Found it! Just got dark but we got lucky. OUR PHOTO IS A LITTLE BIT OF A GIVE AWAY. We love Geocaching. Returned the parcel. Good luck everyone.
Looked, once twice and three times. It was where we thought it would be, just didn't see it the first time. Thanks for placing and maintaining this cache. We are just having a short break to cache while spectating the UTA
Only found this cache cause we drove past and saw people looking for it! Quick and easy find.
My small companion was delighted to discover it where we remember seeing the Christmas lights last year.
found with banj5150 on a chilly saturday morning our way back to the hunter valley after our 4 day blue mountains caching trip based around katoomba, leura and wentworth falls. thanks for the cache and we hope to be back soon!
Found with my daughters, eemiaj while caching around the Katoomba area, visiting from the Hunter Valley area, the 4th and final day of our visit.
Easy find on our way home, TFTC

Found on the homeward run after an impromptu two day caching trip to and around Katoomba. Easier find than I was expecting and really only noticed the grand pine trees (perhaps also the title’s inspiration) as I returned to my car.
A day out geocaching with The Booos in the Mountains
I found this cache while in the area today TFTC

Two new-ish ALs lured me to Katoomba today but you can't come to town without grabbing a few normal caches as well.
A straightforward find here ... thanks for placing this cache for our enjoyment.

Found It!
Another quick find here on a quiet morning. I think I lost my pen somewhere between this cache and the car.

#8934 (4 of 5 today)
I am terribly behind in my logging. It's getting close to five months since I regularly reported on the caches I've found. YIKES! Well, at least I'm currently only 3 months behind.
To be honest, while I still find searching for caches fun, I'm finding logging less so. But I have to log to get me stats and souvenirs, so...
In this time only the Adventure Labs found and my First2Finds have been written up - don't want people racing out when it's already been snaffled.
But I've been busy finally getting ready to move into our new house - now in and I'm still coming to terms with the extra room/rooms!
But I did still try to find time to cache on the days that my 2022 goal of 16 finds per caching day demanded I find something. In fact, for the most part my modus operandi has been to actually aim for 20. So far I've only failed on that a few times, and only by 1 find. Amazingly I'm on track for 19 finds per day, but somehow I expect that will eventually prove too hard as I have to travel a good distance if I want more than a cache a day.
Anyway. thanks to all the CO's who are getting short shrift from my generic logs. I hope to eventually get back to them and flesh them out, but no promises.
I've found some fun Traditionals and solved some interesting, but not impossible puzzles. And Multis and other cache types have been grabbed where possible.
###END OF GENERIC ABJECT GROVELLING SECTION###
Headed up to Leura with the Geowife for a day out. Pity the weather kept threatening rain - which it did while we were having lunch at our favourite Leura cafe. Is it just me or is the lolly shop a shadow of its former self?
Went for five and found them all.
###END OF CUT AND PASTE SECTION###
Any cache specific comments will be added here. Don't hold your breath, though.

Sounds like my festive cache has been travelling around . . . far from GZ . . . until a kind finder eventually put it back in its proper spot. I checked it the other day and found it tightly stuck . . . took me a while to loosen it, retrieve it, and check it out. All is OK and it's dry and ready for more finders. For some unknown reason, my local hides have been subject to more 'cache creep' than usual over the past couple of months. Don't know why. And there's not much I can do about it. As the season approaches, this cache will paralleled by its spectacular neighbour across the street, especially if you go looking at night.
Found with Iaminis on a very cold and wet day took a bit of wriggling - tftc!
Tftc - easy find the cache was located 30m away from GZ so moved back to GZ found with storyteller, team trashy and WShoeii
Time to leave the mountains and head home but one last cache..... this was it! Thanks pjmpjm
Great cheeky spot! Careful if spiders. Closer to the road than we thought. Have fun
No.13. for the day. A quick park n grab, icw geo buddy, Mystic Seer out front of christmas ville / north pole / 'Santa's house'. Very festive house near by. TFTH TFTC SL.
Discovered with Chippyddd on the way to the Blue Mountains NSW. Quick easy find but very sneaky neat the North Pole. Room for lots of SWAPS. SL TFTC TFTH Replaced cache as found ready for the next cacher. Thanks and cache on.
Found it fairly quickly, with my daughter, 2 nephews and a niece in tow (aged 5 to 11) - all 4 of them love geocaching! The house across the road was certainly looking very festive.
