Found on our way to Hokitika gorge. A nice quick find at GZ. Lovely view and interesting info. SL. TFTC.

07-Feb-20
This cache is not far from where we are staying, so we decided to start the geocaching day here before driving south to the Hokitika Gorge.
There was a camper van in the car park, but it seemed to be empty and we wondered if the couple that we passed walking down the road towards the pub were the occupants. Had a bit f a look around at the interesting sign boards while StreetWalkerNZ set to looking for the cache, and he soon found it. Well worth a visit, thanks g+m.

#17805. This was the closest unfound cache to our accommodation, so we started the day here (even though it was in the opposite direction to the rest of the caches we looked for). The cache didn't take too long to find, and we enjoyed reading some of the info panels about this interesting area. TFTC.

We ventured back into Hokitiki to find a couple more caches before heading into the glacier area.
Raining most of the morning so picked up a few where we didn't have to venture to far from the camper. A great drive down the coast, many good caches in wonderful locations.

We don't always have enough time to venture much beyond Greymouth when visiting family but today was a dedicated "around Hoki-Day". We cached out around Lake Kaniere some time ago so today it was Lake Mahinapua's turn after doing the new bug series along Stafford Loop Road. Going uphill we had trouble to pull over for the "In The Delli" cache but when we found good parking it was like two for one Big Grin The view was fantastic where we sat down to sign the log. Thank you gracie7 + Mum

Its Easter & have teamed up with The Seagnoid & Zara, for a magical mystery tour, exploring the amazing West Coast. Its Sunday and we are off exploring again, heading towards Hokitika.
Visited a bulldozer at the bottom but did not find the cache. Hunted around the cave but did not explore inside before coming to this amazing place. Loved the historic plaques with heaps of interesting info. The war memorial was awesome. Yay my find. Cheers

27-Mar-16
On a big Easter caching mission with ZaraBus and TaybeeDragon. Lots of crawling through mines, climbing hills, walking through bush. And yet we only covered a tiny bit of the West Coast, between Greymouth and Hokitika.
Spent a lot of time here, reading up all the notice boards, before looking for the cache.
