Logs

01-Jul-24
I'd looked at this puzzle off and on over many years not really knowing where to start. Then after carefully rereading all the logs recently, one of them gave me an idea which put me on the right track. Even then it was not so straightforward to get the green tick and I got quite a few red crosses on the way there. Today I was in the area and swooped in for a quick find. It's always great to find a lonely mystery cache - this one hasn't been found in nearly two years! In good condition and ready for next finder. TFTC LittleG Magic!

A fun puzzle that had us trying some strange things until we saw the --- and went ah ha. Then it all came clear and the puzzle was solved. Came out this afternoon with busy paws to find you. Clever puzzle and hide, thanks for the cache LittleG Magic.

Went to a nearby vet to pick up some medicine for kitty, Coconuts3 came with me and we found this cache. Needed a shove to get this solved and it's SO simple once it dawns. Cache all secure and dry. TFTH Cool

I have noticed a flurry of logs on the cache, so I decided to revisit. Thank you for replacing the container. Good fun on all accounts, TFTC!!

Solved this puzzle quite some time ago but then the cache went awol. Saw it had been replaced so went to grab it in case it disappears again. It was a quick find. TFTC.

I took a few detours on the way to this cache. Some of the detours involved collecting information for multi caches too.

Thanks for hiding this cache LittleG Magic I appreciate it. Thanks for replacing the hide. I enjoyed solving this puzzle.

Closest LGM cache to my house. So thrilled to solve but gutted there is no cache.

Nothing there?

20-Sep-20
A revisit here, still nothing. The cache has not been found for over two years, and the original container for over four years. I think a physical CO check is needed.

Covid-19 Level 4 Its Simple

If you touch a cache container, you will leave viruses on the plastic, logbook and pen. Those will remain infectious for up to 4 days. Suppose some other person finds the cache tomorrow. They are likely to pick up those viruses and will get infected.

Spent about 30 mins looking and just couldn't find it I eventually gave up and went to the next one

21-Dec-18
Waiting in ton to pick up offspring from the airport, so I went to find some caches of course! Ready with the solution, but no luck at the final, in spite of PAF! Will need a revisit!!

Had solved this puzzle an age ago, so long ago that when I look at the puzzle now, I can't really remember what I did to solve it! Was on Daddy duties today, so had the boys in the car with me when I went to the final GZ here. Nothing spotted at final GZ, and previous finder confirmed that I was looking in the right place. Cache has been replaced but not as the CO originally hid it as I didn't not have a similar sized container. Thanks for the puzzle and the cache.

Two DNFs in a row tonight, not looking good... However this one is a LGM cache, so I don't feel too bad about it Wink. To the list it goes!

Trying to clean up a long list of solved puzzles I checked this out a few nights ago. Having no luck in the obvious places I texted the previous finder (La Vista) who confirmed I was in the right place. Emailed the CO to describe where I was looking and he confirmed I was correct, giving permission to replace the cache for the find. Thanks Little G Smile it's good to keep these older caches live.

"You've got to know when to hold 'em
Know when to fold 'em
Know when to walk away
And know when to run
You never count your money
When you're sittin' at the table
There'll be time enough for countin'
When the dealin's done"

Lyrics from "The Gambler" sure describe my history with this cache.

Well I held onto this puzzle for over 2 years, folded it away many times, walked away from the Geochecker without a smile but always knew I was close to a winning hand ! Gave up the habit & a couple years later faced the Maverick for a show down & finally dealt the perfect hand. Arrived at GZ early today for a clean sweep but far too many suspicious muggles lingering so decided to walk away. After dinner out came back at night for the jackpot ! Thanks LGM for introducing me to this shady character- now I know why I don't play poker ! Happy to report LGM Maverick is still in great shape !

Looked at this one several times over the last few months - each time no closer to the solution. At a recent event I received a small hint. Thanks TG. Puzzle was then easily solved on the next attempt. Following today's event, I headed off to find a few solved puzzle caches. Cache quickly found. TFTC.

Well it was wet and rainy so had to do something at lunchtime what better than a LGM puzzle. Couldn't work this one out despite a recent nudge from the CO. Resorted to another nudge from teh CO and as I pressed send someone looking over my shoulder said what about this and then something jumped out. Quickly had the coords and had to head home to rescue the heat pump from the flooding called in and grabbed this on the way past. Thanks for yet another great puzzle. Thanks LGM.

922 - Would I play cards with this guy, I don't think so! As I was in the area today I made sure to stop and collect this. Cache is in good shape. TFTC

Certainly seemed to be a maverick cache from these CO's. A reasonably straightforward solve and then Mrs SoBad completed the double with an instant find. Mind you the hint removed most potential alternatives.
Thanks.

#5366. Another one Troodles had found on a solo mission. She wanted another go at a nearby cache she had DNF'ed, so I signed the log of this one while we were in the area. TFTC.

Nice puzzle but wasn't quite able to fully decode it - took SW's eye and brain to finish it off.
Don't you love it when a LG cache is in the first place you look???
Thanks again, guys.

At first glance we did not know how we would get a solution on this one. Then we had an idea, and sure enough, spotted what we needed to get the co-ordinates. Fun puzzle, thanks.
Today we stopped by to make the find before our flight back home, only to find many muggles nearby. Then we decided they were not paying any attention to us, and soon had the cache in hand. Nice hide.

So that's why I keep losing at canasta? Google wasn't very helpful on this occasion; TFTC

First time trying Geocaching, picked one close to home, but GPS keep trying to take us into the property, didn't feel comfortable going onto someones property at night so will go again during daylight

9619... With a bit of patience, we soon had Maverick aced, had to call by today and went straight to GZ for a poker around, luckily we managed to quickly flush the little joker out... no big deal... Yeah right!Wink TFTC.

Found at last with bucket loads of help from Little G. We had reached a point of giving up when we ran into the cache owner and he was able to shed light on the matter. Even then we went home and struggled and had to ask for more help. We are so glad to not be looking at this puzzle any more! Now a deep breath and tackle the next one. Thanks for the thinking challenge, I think!

Found while doing the Saturday morning jobs with Linleye. Great cache, learnt a great deal! Cheers.

Finally. Pondered this on and off since publication. Didn't have a clue where to even start. Looked at all sorts of options to solve. New hint sent me off on a wild goose chase but CO redirected me. Got the 'doh' moment and quickly solved. Early on I did consider the correct method of solving but didn't pay enough attention & quickly discounted it and moved on to other things. Seem to have done that a bit. Note to self: pay more attention. Having solved I thought I should head out and collect. What better than a cold wet yucky evening - easy peasy you would think. But no; as I pulled up to GZ so did 2 carloads of twenties who knew each other who then proceeded to park up and have a chin-wag & smoke. Waited them out. Once they left I quickly found the cache; returned to car to extract and sign....about to hop out and replace when a carload of teens pull up for a 'smoke' - what is it with this place? With seats reclined they looked comfy and set in for the long haul. Waited a bit but then headed off to find another cache. Returned later to an empty GZ and quickly replaced the cache - at last.
A most excellently constructed puzzle, very very clever. Thanks as always for the effort involved in creating and placing the cache. Most appreciated.

Very nice - saw this today and started working on it - posed some questions to the owner and was able to follow the path - had to tweak the idea a bit around the twists but got there in the end. Thinking like the owner I was able to find the container after a few minutes - accurate co-ords nice cache. Thanks for the fun.

Finally. Duh. Should have got that aaaages ago Smile Nice one.

Time a hint was added - remember we do confirm and deny your ideas

Yeeeee Haaaaw!! Yer darn tootin'! After seein' Team_Gaters grab two of the three new LGM hides posted while I was away over the past week (nice excuse, eh? Razz), I was down right hankerin' to be the first to find on at least one of these young whippersnappers. An' gawsh darn it, wouldn't ya know it just turned out ta be this little varmint! Had me scratchin' my hands, and shufflin' my feet, and scratchin' my feet, and shufflin' my, er, hands. The whole dang thing took me aback, to see so many juicy morsels posted while I was down yonder. It just ain't fair! Anywho, finally was able to make head and tails of this one, and hopped on my trusty steed just as the rains started acomin', and giddyup'd to GZ only to find a set of cowpokes hunkerin' down for some vittles. Shoot! Well, I did what any maverick would have done, and waited them out, while I pretended to be phonin' a friend. Knowin' to leave the tumbleweeds alone, I soon narrowed down my options, and BANG! Found the treasure. Not fools gold neither! Just a nice, crisp new bill for me to admire! Thanks LGM for another hoot of a puzzle!
