Logs
Google Mental Health Activities. Geocaching should be in the list Off for a MH Activity in the eastern burbs. Great hide. Fav point added. Logs do need a tidy up. Tftc
In town with CaptainVimes for a work event (hers, not mine) and to find a few caches. Took my life into my hands crossing the road. Thanks for the cache chillibutts
Not exactly what we were expecting - but a quick and easy find none the less.Left a new log as everything else was full. Favourite point from us. TFTC
Out and about this afternoon finding some caches a quick stop here before it started to rain TFTC
TFTC! Had to relocate a redback spider who had made a home there with a long stick, but once we had settled the spider into its new home, it was straightforward to find the cache. Nice hide!
How very exciting the big trip has finally arrived! Down from Brisbane with a host of other geo friends with plans aplenty, enough to almost see us needing to extend or make a return visit. Our geonick for the trip is BOLD7 which is guaranteed to save the log paper for the 7 individual members of the team. As we make our way around sadly there wont be time for the usual individual logs and therefore just the old generic log will have to do. With little extra notes here and there if needed. Thank you for your cache which has added to my wonderful caching holiday. All challenges will be checked for qualifying at a future time.
Out and about collecting more smilies. Signed with Leap mega team nickname BOLD7. Thanks for hiding and maintaining the cache.
Its adios to a few of the BOLD members heading home after a full on week. The rest of the BOLD crew head home tomorrow. After collecting luggage and short sheeting a few of the beds, there were a few short stops on the way to the airport. Great stop and an interesting structure. Thanks chillibutts for keeping this trad active.
GC3HR10 Fig Jam (I am, I am)Happy Leap Year!A group of us are down from Darwin and Brisbane for the leap year mega event. Today we fly home in the afternoon so this is the last morning of grabbing a few more. To save space in the logs we have signed as BOLD7. Was meant to be BDLD7 but something got lost in translation. However 2 more have joined our team. So BOLD9 today it is. I have had a great time caching down here and will need to return with the family to explore the area (& caches) some more. Beautiful building TFTC chillibutts
BOLD9 having a fab time in Adelaide and surrounds. Lots of laughs and some brilliant inventive caches.!thanks to all the COs
I really enjoyed the old jam building and history, and despite this cache being on a main route from Adelaide's CBD, I had never stopped here, even with so many Favourite Points (I just ran out of time in the end to do all of the caches on my targeted list). I was nearby and decided to stop this evening, and after parking nearby, I walked to GZ. It didn't take long to find the unique and enjoyable cache, and the cache container and logbook were in good shape. Thanks chillibutts for the cache placement and ongoing maintenance. Favourite Point for a memorable cache!----------A trip visiting Adelaide from Brisbane for the [The Great Leap Forward](http://coord.info/GCA1DNA) Mega event!I arrived Wednesday 28/02/2024 evening ready for Leap Day on Thursday, and stayed with family across the weekend, before returning on Monday 4/03/2024 morning. Previous Adelaide trips are spent with family and friends, but targeted geocaching was this trip's objective, and I attempted to target unique cache types (virtuals, EarthCaches, Wherigos and letterbox hybrids), attractive D-T combinations, high Favourite Point caches, and the occasional pre-2003 oldie, acknowledging that I had found many cherished oldies whilst residing in Adelaide. In addition to Mega central in Beverley/Hindmarsh, my trip included visits as north as Clare, to Aldinga and Sellicks Beach to the south, and the Adelaide Hills (Hahndorf, Uraidla) to the west. In true South Australian style, I ticked off the three closest wine areas to Adelaide (Barossa, Clare Valley, and McLaren Vale). Additional highlights included Barossa vineyard meanderings, boating to Adventure Island in Outer Harbor, drain exploration via [The Shadowlands](https://coord.info/GC18AZY), beach walks of Port Willunga and Sellicks Beach, enjoying a beer at Willunga, and experiencing the Fringe Festival in Adelaide's east end.Today, the plan was the completion of the Barossa grapes geoart, and then return back from north-east of Adelaide via targeted D-T caches within the vicinity. After attending the morning's [Meet and Greet Walkerville Memorial Gardens](https://coord.info/GCAJ4H9) event, we proceeded north to join others, and completed the Barossa grapes geoart, before having an early lunch at Tanunda. [E_Smiley](https://coord.info/PREYGEN) and I then took the scenic (geocache) way back to Adelaide via Gawler, One Tree Hill, Golden Grove, Athelstone, and traversing the Black Hill gorges of Gorge Road Montacute Road. Highlights included the 1837 Barossa vineyard, many repurposed (Used 2B) churches, upper Torrens River scenic walks, and enjoying wild blackberries spotted by [E_Smiley](https://coord.info/PREYGEN).Following a pizza dinner refuel and returning [E_Smiley](https://coord.info/PREYGEN) to her vehicle, I called past a couple of Adelaide's south park lands geocaches utilising various TOTTs, before returning back to the family base well into the night.
Very clever. So very cool that logs were still there from 2012!Gets a fav from me.Here with kiwisteve2 after the Great Keap forward.First road trip with our new caravan, so a plan was hatched that included the Ballarat Geotour, avoiding the fires, the Great Ocean Road, Mt Gambier and onto Adelaide. The Mega, the onto Flinders Ranges, Mildura and random places back to Sydney. Other cachers include kiwisteve2, drobbonz, kimmy533 and tessa-bella. Tftc
Oh My, not sure what day number it is or what caches I did yesterday, been caching for a while and the days and the caches just run into each other. With the Leap Day event over and the Grapes done yesterday, I am looking forward to a morning of small walks and then to finish the day off with some target caching around town. It will still be a long day as well that's what I'm here to do, lol. To save space on log sheets we signed as BOLD 9. Adelaide is proving to be somewhat of a great place to live. The atmosphere and the people seem to be just nice. While i have ventured out of town a little there are some really nice pockets, I will admit there does not seem to be any bad areas as such that I have come into. Thanks for the caches today and the hides, all were replaced as they were found, sorry for the generic logs but I did find a good number again today. This was an interesting place to visit thanks.
Found with FUF009 while caching around the area. Quite a few cachers like to talk themselves up in the FIGJAM style. It was a cache that I really wanted to findTftc
baby&Mrs gopher have found this cache. Log to follow when we get back to The Rock NSW

Happy Leap Day!! Todays mission was variety - different types, different sizes and in different LGAs. Thankyou for your cache placement as this helped us achieve a mini goal for the day. Visiting from Brisbane specifically for the Mega event that was held in town.
The third day in Adelaide with The Morris. Today was a hot one so the Morris went to do some other stuff and I rode around North Adelaide. Back early for a swim, then we did some caching after dinner.Glad I was on the bike for this one. I could stop right next to the information board for a read.Nice hide. Thanks, Robmc.
Fig Jam (I am, I am)1.0/1.0 Other Traditional Cache Back in Adelaide after 14 years. Here for The Great Leap Forward Mega and catching up with awesome caching friends and revisiting Adelaide where we lived for 16 beautiful years! Out on a sunny Sunday afternoon with the Geoson He wanted to grab this one because of the favourite points, and one from us too TFTC
Found on way home from a birthday party. I love fig jam. Thanks for the recipe
It's been many years since I've last found a Chillibutts cache, they're becoming a bit of a rarity these days. I was in the area shopping for camping goods and decided a bit of caching was in order. I spotted the hide fairly quickly before spending some time trying to stealthily retrieve it and sign the log. I love the location, TFTC!
Nice hide here, great to see they kept the facade when renovating
Thanks chillibutts for Fig Jam (I am, I am)

This was great, and a very creative cache indeed! Found with Jolly0 and geocleo. Was good to get another find under our belts after a trio of dnf's earlier in the day.

How could I drive passed this cache. Seriously, fig jam would have to be my favourite jam!
_staas and I left the dog snoring on the back seat while we checked out the old jam factory. Maybe if it was a dog food factory she would have come for the walk too
Great to see part of the old building was kept.
TFTC chillibutts
Keep smiling

Found with alphag_25, in Adelaide today and the next three days, trying to fill in some LGAs in SA and caching along our way. Picked this one for the favourites and didn’t disappoint. TFTC
Found TFTC SL with mackay_geocaching. On Holidays from Mackay Qld and travelling the Great Ocean Road from Melbourne to Adelaide and making stops along the way. Thanks for placing this cache for our enjoyment.
Had about 4 hours to kill while waiting for my car to be serviced. So... I cached!
I bit of head scratching with what to do with what I found, but after I re-read the description all was clear.
Thanks for the cache, chillibutts

After the Freddo Vietnamese event I went out for some caches in the suburbs on foot around Norwood and St Peters, then some down south.
A creative cache that was quickly located.
Cache retrieved and signed.
Thanks chillibuts for this cache.
This cache brings Goldy's total find count to 1984 on the 11th of November 2022.
The thought's of those who served our country are remembered and missed.
They shall grow not old,
as we that are left grow old;
Age shall not weary them,
nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun
and in the morning
We will remember them.
Lest We Forget.

Dropped past this cache tonight with Schmidtzall The log papers were pretty full, so time for a new log sheet
We are finally able to travel interstate without heaps of loops to jump through. We thought we would take it easy and have a look around South Australia and grab a few more LGA's while we were here.
Out for a morning run while staying in the area. I stopped off to grab this one on the way back to the caravan park and spotted another cacher looking for it. I arrived and introduced myself then he pulled out the cache.
This was find number 5 for the day.

I quite like this style of camo, was a quick find! Enjoyed reading about the history of the site on the sign. TFTC, FP awarded
I headed out for an appointment and having arrived earlier than I needed, I headed over towards this cache for a quick look. Didn't take long to find and added my name to a log in between passing traffic. Interesting historical information presented here at GZ. TFTC chillibutts
Finally managed a visit to my head office in Adelaide and timed with a weekend so I could also collect a few caches. New LGA's for me and fav caches were the main caches of focus.
Nicely hidden here and quickly spotted.
Thanks to chillibutts for the placement and fun.

My favourite jam. Hardest part was getting across the road. Cache definitely wasn't what I was expecting.
Love a good jam and love a good super public cache!
This was a quick find and used discretion to put it back without being seen!
Would never have known that this was here.

Quick find, after a scorching walk and a tenuous crossing. Off to do our shopping!
Found with children from work after having Nature Play SA run a geocaching session. Added in all initials of the group. TFTC.
Found, but will bring a bunch of little cachers here next week to introduce them to the hobby!
The 3rd of 11 successful finds on this delighful 23 degree Sunday afternoon of caching in the eastern Adelaide suburbs.
While on our way to GZ, I had to stop and think for a seccond. Then turned to my caching companion and had to ask the stupid question of "What is the 'other' classification for when searching for a traditional-cache?" After finding this vital information out. I was able to understand how to retrieve the cache.
Always learning new information everyday about caching. Great hide.
Found with BecTheRaccoon. TFTC,

Quick and easy find! Discovering a new format of cache was really fun and we'll definitely be giving that fig jam recipe a go! TFTC Sabo + JJ
There were many log papers in there but they all seemed pretty full! May need a fresh log. In the meantime, squeeze your name in a small space somewhere or bring your own paper to add to the collection!
Quicky find but awkward during the day TFTC signed, sealed, returned and on to the next! check out my tiktok adventures obie87 geocacher.
Clever. Might wanna up his to a 1.5 difficulty as it's not tricky, but only if you've done this a few times before. Great hide. Clever. TFTC!
After being unable to get out for the last few weeks... Even being a chilly Sunday afternoon, a plan was in place to grab a cache or 2.. I found this interesting cache..
It was a quick grab, sign the log and put it back during a break in traffic.
