Logs
A spare Monday spent in the south of Auckland picking up the odd cache here and there. This was one of those.
Lots of looking, re-reading logs and widening search area. As reported in the previous log, cache then discovered lying on the ground.
Cache in order; log signed, cache re-hidden safely, where we expect it is meant to be. Given this, and the fact that the coordinates could do with revalidating it would be a good idea for the CO to pay a visit on this one I think.
I visited here with team cacher zboy wonder.

Found this one on the ground, in the inlet, so had to retrieve. Cache is all ok, but about 12m from where the GPS says it should be. Re-hid on the tree where we found it, TFTC
Dear Cache Owner,
I am a German guy who stays in New Zealand for eight months as an Au Pair.
My English is not perfect, so please don't wonder or be angry about my log entries. Thanks!
----------
Today after swimming I walked together with my host kid in this area. We could find three Caches, that one was the last for today. Here we need a lot of time, we only could find it after reading the last log entries.
Thanks for hiding!

We have never walked this pathway before so decided to end our weekend with an evening stroll.
We spent a while looking with no luck but finally spotted it after expanding the search area. TFTC.

Looked for this one quite a while ago when it was missing; nice to get another DNF off the map. Cache is in good condition. TFTC.
Cache number 3539 and day 117 of my current streak. After a frustrating afternoon. I had no luck on specific cache I was looking for so thought this one would allow me to keep my streak going. Nice walk along the path but my GPS took me past the cache. After looking in the wrong place for a while before muggle daughter moved back 1 hint item. She soon had the cache in hand and was not so in reminding me that she had found it for me so technically I still had not found a cache for the day. But it is in my count. Signed and returned, Thank you for the placement.
In the area with Jag50 and Aiden29. This took awhile to find but once we extended our search, Aiden found the cache
In the area with Jag50 and Merlot58. This took a bit of searching, and when we extended our search radius I spotted something, which on further examination turned out to be the cache.

Decided to go for a nice and relaxing stroll with caching partner. It was not at the GZ spot but we found the cache. Tftc
Teamed up with Cats&Dragons and RWIMF today to tackle some GROTTY caches plus a few finds in the Botanic Gardens, with the focus on a few solved puzzles that have been in the solved pile for a little to long. In the end it turned out to be a hugely successful day with all but 1 cache found, a big thanks to all the CO's for the hides.
As RWIMF had other places to be this afternoon we had dropped her off back at home and C&D and me thought we find a few more caches before we made our way home as well.
Checked a couple of spots here before it was found, thanks for replacing.

Cycled round this area today to find some nearby caches. This was one of them, easy find and good location. I'm not sure whether FTF counts for me as I was the first to find this cache after mike-miss replaced it last month and the first to sign the new log. As mike-miss said in the description, it was replaced in the same location with same hint etc, so maybe not (i'm still a bit new to geocaching). No real issue with muggles, I just checked the paths, found it then sat on the seat up the hill pretending to be having a break from cycling, then signed it and returned it when nobody was around. TFTC
Not found in nearly 6 months and 4 DNF's. Please confirm this is still here or maintain please.
Slip sliding down the slope i went trying to beat the young kids to the find good times had with a eye i spied and nabbed it before the youngest found it. Spoil sport i know but you gotta be into win lol. Tftc
Out with a few cachers doing the Orona Island cache. Decided to do a few more afterwards.
Was a nice quick find for this one.
Thanks

Thanks
In the area specifically for caching so made the short walk across the hill for this one. Nice easy find and only a hint of mangroves to be seen - must have been quite a sight to see it all being cleared out!!
Thanks for the cache.
Thanks for the cache.
Good to do this one as in the area ! Thanks so much Mike for placing it here and all the interesting info you have given us...
Out with a group of cachers today completing the nearby Orona Island cache. Once we had got back to the cars , hosed off, and changed out of our muddy clothes, we decided to go one to do a few more caches. This was one of those.
Had a bit of a GPS fail on the way, with UncleSam's Google Maps app telling us to get on the motorway! However, we got there in the end, and pulled up near GZ. On the way down, one of our group had a quick skate down the hill, but fortunately we all got there in one piece, and made the find easily. After a bit of joking around (as we do!), we headed off to the next one.
TFTC mike-miss!

I decided for an early start in the morning to collect some geocaches for the license on the way to Hamilton. Quick find at GZ. TFTC
Found ... Mrs McMike2012 & I decided to go for a walk after tea ... thought we'd have a walk around somewhere we hadn't been before ... was an easy walk & soon had the cache found & returned ... only just as moments later 2 different groups of 'muggles' came through. TN:LN:SL. TFTC. #837 for us.
Trying to keep a streak going, at least for a few more days (currently 14 days longer than any previous streak) - although it is getting harder now the mini-cachers are back at school. We were nearby with the mini-cachers at softball practice and guitar lessons, so headed this way as the nearest cache to try. A nice quick find here after reading the hint. Have never been down this way so thanks for bringing us here. Log was damp and inside bag was also wet, so we have replaced the bag. TFTC.
Found it together with KittyCat432 and DoandHopers
Thanks for the cache

after a few DNFs on this cache , glad to cross this one off the list. Out with Godfreyh and doandhopers. Amazing what an extra pair off eyes can do., although I did say to doandhopers previously it could be there and he said no LOL
FINALLY nailed it. Had this as a DNF a few times, but if you look with yours eyes and not your GPS its amazing what you can find. LOL. Great delight in signing this log. TNLN
Out in South Auckland today to gather some puzzle finds and requirements for our GIO licence challenge.
Another cache find as we were nearby to add to the smiley count for the day! A quick find at GZ and a short stroll from the car. Thanks for the hide.

We went on a drive in the Takanini area where my sister used to live. A lot of new housing areas here.
Thanks for placing this cache mike-miss

Was just about to give up as my phone battery went flat and we were only guessing that we were in the right place and then we found it .... the kids were stoked!!!
Container had quite a bit of water in it. Emptied and replaced but log is quite damp.
Had a nice walk with the family to this cache. I've seen people on jetskis in this inlet whilst driving past on the motorway, never thought I'd actually find myself casually strolling around here. I spotted the cache before Mr F, but couldn't reach it so he had to go in. Oh, and a note for future finders - beware of dog poo! I had a close but not too close encounter.
Great day for cache hunting. Cache in good order.

One last cache in the area for the day. Pity there isn't a tunnel under the motorway linking both sides together, it would have saved a drive.
Luckily once again it didn't take too long for me to find my nemesis hide type.
Thanks!

found as part of team stik-a-crane now logging under my own name ... I was there to help make the find but wanting a map and history of my own unique kind.
[:o)] kiddo spotted - catch wet on inside had approx. 1-2 cm water in bottom also plastic bag with log in wet (inside) - log appears to be new or recently replaced - signed - left a symbol of peace and friendship #5 -
Stopped off for lunch on the way home. The tide was in and the inlet looked great. A few people out and about, but walkway not as busy as the motorway. Found with a small search. I must admit, I was expecting it to be a little higher TFTC

not quite sure if we had the right tree as GPS was playing tricks. Had a good look but couldnt find it.
Logbook replaced with my new waterproof version. Cache all good for more finders. Happy hunting!
Nice queens birthday Monday walk with the family. Log book is a bit damp and quite full. Nice spot
A nice walk around the habour, It sure looks diferent now the mangroves are gone, easy find, TFTC.
Kids a bit slow off the mark today and Mum came up with the cache. Sadly the tide was out - I enjoy the tide in vista on my way to work. So pleased to see the mangroves gone, will be interesting to see if the sand builds up at any time. TFTC
Nice walk bonus of a geocache find. My youngest daughter found it and was very proud of herself. Thanks.
A nice spot, and with a brilliant sunny day I think I got the full ambiance of the location

I was a little concerned about looking for this style of hide at night, but I managed to fight the urge to call the CO before I even started searching. I little think about the likely nature of the hide soon meant for a quick find. It actually took longer to get the log out as the previous finder had wrapped it into a tight little wad. Cheers for the cache placement!
