Another Wednesday Walkabout for some members of the Puzzled Puzzlers group in search of solved puzzles and anything else whilst we are passing. [8)] Today it was a case of the same car full of myself Sushilord, Blackadders and Mrs. S.A. Sewer Rats. We had finished last week up Blackwood way and so once again we headed thataway in search some more finds. Cool

Bugger, our only DNF for the day. After a picnic lunch at Windy Point we walked down here. We found what we think would have been the perfect hiding spot but there was nothing there. Sad So we spent another half an hour looking just in case. I think we were really just avaoiding the walk back up to the car. [:o)] Will monitor and come back some time.

**Thanks fishingmad for the search anyway. ** Razz

13-Mar-19
Either the cache is missing in action or the hide was too good for us. We will return.

13-Mar-19
The weekly Wednesday Wandering with a Starfish, Fish and an Adder.
We came, we searched and searched.
But we could not find the elusive cache.
We will have to return.
Could the CO please have a look at this one, as it appears to be missing.

Looked all over i think...but couldn't locate it Sad

This was one of a few found while out hunting traditionals south of the city using shanks's pony.
Did quite a bit of circling here but kept on coming back to the same area and this was where cache was found.
Thanks for the cache fishingmad

I could come up with an excuse as to why I didn't find the cache.
Truth is, it's probably just hidden really well and in a place like that the hint doesn't help much.

On a bike ride caching raid of the Southern hills, this was my 2nd find for the day Smile SL at 09:40 on Halloween 2016 Twisted TFTC fishingmad Smile

Found this one, keeping watch out for the mountain bike riders. Signed log

Found while out on a nice (And darn steep) ride on the cyclocross bike. I've ridden up this way many times before but never stopped to find these geocaches. Insanity! I just realised I've written 11/10/15 in all of the logs instead of 12/10/15 Oops! Bit of a challenge getting the cyclocross bike over the rocks here but managed just fine! After I found this one I continued on to Windy Point to watch the sunset!

22-Aug-15
Took 2 visits to eventually find it.great spot

Found It!
This one took me quite a while to find for some reason. Only saw one mountain bike go past on the lower track though. Eventually I spotted the thing and then started the long walk back to the car...

Had a pretty decent root around for this one but couldn't put my hand on it… c'est la vie

This one has been bugging me for ages. I went hiking with friends around these quarries about eighteen months ago, and DNF'ed this one at the time. A few weeks later it was replaced, and it has sat on my 'Beaten Me' list ever since. Being down this way again I made the effort to ensure I had some time up my sleeve and after climbing much higher than necessary, I made the find on the way down. TFTC fishingmad!

28-Apr-14
A pleasant walk to the GZ. Reasonably warm day (max 29 C). No muggles or nasty critters about and even the flies kept their distance (was it my aftershave?). Thanks fishingmad.

24-Jan-14
Thanks great spot!

11-Sep-13
Was hoping I might manage a few around here but just this one made it a nice walk with the dogs for me. TFTF

11-Aug-13
I went for a bit of look this morning and checked where I had hidden it plus a few other spots nearby and I couldn't find it either. Fortunately I had a replacement cache with me so I placed it where I had hidden the original. I have rechecked the coordinates and will update them but they are not too far off at all.
I had fishinsazz and The scarlet Manuka with me so they have signed the new log.

11-Aug-13
We were with Dad when he went looking for this, as he couldn't find it he hid a new one in the original spot, but we signed it before he did so. TFTC.

11-Aug-13
Out for a morning walk with Dad and my brother, of course we had to do some caching. Dad had to replace this one so we wrote our names in the new log first. TFTC.

10-Aug-13
Replacement cache in place now.

Coordinates changed from:
S 35° 00.126 E 138° 36.472

Coordinates changed to:
S 35° 00.126 E 138° 36.471

Distance from original: 5.1 feet or 1.5 meters.
Just double checked coordinates with a new gps and they were very near to spot on.

11-Jul-13
No cache! No luck!

11-Jul-13
Time for the owner of this one to go and verify its existence , as I've had a through search of the area for and turned up nothing! Action Needed!

11-Jul-13
I will disable this one until I come down to Adelaide next, this one was a bit tricky but not too hard so it may have walked.

03-Feb-13
Nup no go, searched high & low rocks to no avail! Read previous logs but still no luck!

02-Feb-13
During a recent quick visit to the area a dawn of realization struck that I’d been here before and forgot to log three caches…My Favourite Rides 9 - Flat Tyre 2, My Favourite Rides 8 - Lynton Blue Connector and My Favourite Rides 7 - Lynton Green Connector. A stroll up the hill to My Favourite Rides 9 showed I’d been there on 15th September 2012, but decided to log them in 2013 so as not to alter my 2012 annual total. Thanks for the belated smiley’s fishingmad!

GeoOptimus and I spent quite a while at the GZ looking for this one but could not come up with smilie Sad.

13-Oct-12
Spent quite some time looking. Only one bike came past in that time. It must have been strange for him to come over the hill and see someone grovelling in the rocks.

The boys raced up the hill from the track, scouring the rocks and trees for this one. Little did they know they had all climbed up above it. Geo daughter made the find. TFTC

In convoy with Samboi we smashed this one ... bring on the next !

I did watch the video but all the trails looked the same to me. Big Grin It took me a while to find it. Thanks for the nice walk.

Thanks fishingmad for the cache. Smile

02-Jun-12
I had tried for this cache before with no success but today I was inspired by Team Waldron and the cache was soon ours. A well hidden cache and the walk through the hills was terrific! Thanks for bringing us here! It was a bit risky with the bike riders hurtling down the slope but well worth it. TFTC

02-Jun-12
Out for an afternoon of walking with Trail06.

We walked for about 3 hours and ended up under 2 kms fron the car.

This one took us a while. Trail06 had a dnf here but today he was onto it.

This whole area through here was nothing more than a landfill dump not that long ago (well, let's say 20 yrs +). Came up from the Lynton end on a slightly chilly morning. Made my way through the muddy tracks and wet grass only to remember the access track was there. Bugger!

With wet muddy shoes I returned along the track to my car and on to work. The signs of my morning caching were obvious to my staff. TFTC fishingmad.

26-May-12
A bit slippery due to last nights rain but a sunny day out finding caches.

20-May-12
Mr Tardis was out riding his bike at 5:30pm and it was almost dark (a good think I bought a LED Lenser light so I could see). Well, when I say riding, I mean walking the bike up the last part of the track as it was too rocky and steep for this old man Wink

As it turns out I could have chosen an easier track, but GPS said to pick the harder one. Spent a few minutes searching and found the cache 5 meters away from where my GPSr thought it should be. I made this harder than it needed to be and did some climbing, but eventually spotted it in a good place.

The ride back down to the car was much easier with 100m of decent to do. It was so cold there were tears in my eyes.

Signed the log. Thanks for the cache fishingmad.

The light was fading when I was here so this was a bit harder than I liked. A quick chat to the frog put me looking where I already had before. Awesome spot at this time of night!
Thanks to fishingmad and clear skies from TeamAstro.

Gentle stroll down the hill and a 10 minute hunt for a cache. Found in the last place we looked. Got a heart starter heading back up the hill.
