This was quite difficult to got at, you had better bring a par of bum boots for this one. I think I will need a new par of bike shoes now. All signed and it’s in good condition. So TFTC
Took a little persistence but found relatively easily. Cache is in great condition. Log signed, double-bagged and returned. Thanks for the maintenance, Wesso. TFTC
Found full of water, emptied and dried log as best we could still able to sign and replaced, where found. Thanks Wesso Family, a check of cache may be needed to fix water problem
Okay, so the day started at 6am so that we could catch a few caches to help the geo-dad (Cliff5009) fill in a few holes in his Hidden Dates chart.
A bit of a drive up Bruce Highway early on a spring morning, during the school holidays, so traffic was not too bad.
So this was cache 4 for the day.
First time looking for this. Parking was more of an issue to actually finding this one.
Walked in thinking it might be near the weir. No, further in. Got to GZ and had a bit of a look around. Started sinking in the moist earth....
Ah, there it is. Hmmm. Open the cache and it is drenched. No other word for it. I think it is hanging in the water when the tide comes in...
Okay, needed this one for Geo-dad's hidden challenge and got it.
Thank you very much for placing this cache. Still a very nice place to come and view the wildlife, people fishing off the banks, cyclists, and the birds....

Wesso Family I found your cache Parrearra Lake on 21/4/2022, 2:00 pm. This is my find 3402 and find # 8 today. No problems locating this one. A bit muddy but able to access it. Thanks for the cache, mate! TNSLLN

Out with chamad, E_Smiley, Duppers collecting caches on the beautiful Sunshine Coast.
After an early start we made our way north, collecting caches as we went.
After a lovely walk to gz, it took a bit to find the best approach to this one however, once there, the cache was quickly spotted. A very muddy spot, but that didn't stop us. After signing the log we continued our journey.
Thanks Wesso familyfor the cache.

A plan was set for today to try to complete as many of the sunshine coast caches as possible with a target of 140 (my target). Todays little group was Willis007, Esmiley, newcomer Duppers and myself. We meet at the arranged meeting point; we worked out where we were going and had a plan for the day. It was a little slow start but once all the formalities were done it was all systems go. The day was a lot of fun, with laughs, the usual banter and some nice walks. The plan changed a little as we went, we got a third of our targets, which I was happy with, as it was a big ask considering the caches were doing. We had a few DNF’s which took up a lot of time, a couple of multis that had us stuck for a checker tick. We were lucky to have Esmiley along who had completed a few of the caches and gave us some insight.
Thanks to all the CO’s for the caches and some fun hides and to my caching buddies for the day. We signed all logs and replaced containers as we found them.
A nice walk but in the heat it was good to find some shade. The area was a little muddy but that didn’t stop us and we soon had the cache in hand. It was nice to stop on the way back under the bridge and get a cool breeze and some shade, while we worked out where to go next. This is where Duppers had to leave us for the day.
All good with this cache and now it is onto the next one.

Was going to be competing in Hells Bells this weekend, but an old calf injury said no. So instead I’m volunteering at a transition area, watching gear & checking racers in & out. Figured while I was here I should check in & low & behold, there’s a cache right here waiting to be found. Figured my calf could manage a little wander around in the mangroves. Didn’t take long to spot the sneaky hide. Log was only in one zip lock when I found it, but in good condition. TFTC.
A lovely spot that I’ve never known existed. I had a bit of a look at GZ but the water is wet and mozzies are bitey. Some days I’m in that mood, today I’m not. So moving on.
What a lovely surprise! I came prepared for a lengthy search and I spotted it immediately at GZ! I think I must have approached just from the right angle looked ahead and there it was. I had the place to myself there was no one about so it was a special cache find for me. No mozzies, no bog just a really good cache with a dry log to sign. Thanks Wesso family for placing it in this lovely place.
This one has been on my watchlist for a while, so I decided to try and get it today. After finding a couple of new lures for the tackle box around the rocks, I began my search. Once I laid my eyes on the bison, there was some excitement as this is my 150th cache! Once the log was signed, i made sure to lock the bloody bag! TYFTC!
Our second try to find this one. Last time too many people fishing to make a move into the bushes. This time it was a quick find.
Persistence paid off and despite nearly giving up two or three times and repeated forays with the mosi guardians I eventually found it. Cache in good order and with admin completed it was sealed up ready for the next visitor. Thanks Wesso for another interesting cache. Colwen (UK)
On the Sunshine Coast for the weekend to celebrate a family birthday. Early morning walk to grab a few caches.

While camping in the area with my geodog Scruffy, we just had to get out and find a few more caches ...
Wow the area was a bit boggy after the rain, and of course, Scruff found something to roll in while I was filling in the log.
All Good .. TFTC ..

Took a bit of a look but found after 30 minutes. Very clever little hide, well done Wesso Family. TFTC
Yeah baby!
Noticing the CO (cheers wesso) had been to look at this coastal nemesis of mine yesterday, i made it the target for todays little geo-outing.
And a quick find it finally was! Nice cache container. First find since august 2017 as well!
Thanks wesso for placing and maintaining a cache in this lovely quiet spot.

While I was in the area,
I took the stroll out to this popular fishing spot [:o]
A heap of fisher-types both human and feathered were there to try their luck
While they weren't looking,
I dived into GZ
Ye Gawds !!
It's a jungle in here !! [:o]
I poked about for 'bout 20 minutes,
but in the end it just looked hopeless !!
I left with a DNF !!

So, once a year it seems,.. i come back here for my little hunt around with the mozzies. No luck again. Better luck next year?
Nope. But to be honest the mosquitoes were so bad we didn’t give this one the attention it deserved.
As this was on our way home, i insisted on having another look after my last debacle. To be fair, once the mozzies started carrying us away, we called it quits for the day. Still, i did have a semi-decent poke around. Oh well.
Beautiful area nearby though.
Beautiful area nearby though.
Had a good search around gz, realised i'd been here before with sunshine58 with no luck, had the place to myself so went over to the park for a rethink. Armed with an explicit hint from the CO (cheers wesso), i trudged back in eventually calling it off frustrated and empty handed. I shall return!
A very big thank you to Konie for helping replace this container while i'm still disabled.
Located cache as described but found in pieces, container broken, cannot clip together, needs maintenance
Looks like this one needs a rebuild, I will have it up and running again ASAP.
Found it , but the container was In 2 parts .... finally located the bottom half of the cache about 3 m away in mud .... no log
Have placed a very temp log and clipped cache back together ..... needs maintenance TFTC

No log however . Took photos which app won't let me upload, apparently file is too large . Nice brisk walk out here though. Thankful for some cooler weather. TFTC. Email sent to CO.

Time for a Wacky Wednesday with teamdfl [^]
We walked on from our last stop, and towards the end we thought we might have a rather tough bush bash to GZ, but teamdfl found a way around. Took a bit of effort to find the container. TFTC, Wesso Family.

We had a little bit of a hunt for this one, but not too long. We passed a few fishermen along the way to GZ, but none anywhere close.
l had no hope of finding this one if l went by my gps!! thankfully geohubbies was bang smack on the money. tftc
Woot woot found it with grillataktix needed a hint but as it came thru so did grillataktix with the goods
DNLRW#8 What could be better on a hot steamy night than searching through mangroves... after a thorough search in the dark with our little torches we finally found and signed the log
Dragged geowife over to this one for another pair of eyes, began our search at GZ and then I heard the words I hate, 'I've found it'. Bugger, should have left her in Mitsi!!! Signed log and returned it to its hide.

Hi there Wesso Family. We found your cache "Parreara Lake" at darktime. This cache makes our find count twelve hundred and sumfin.
Tonight was just the sort of night for a sight seeing tour around some of the roads in the area. We picked a random cache (Black on Black) and let our phones decide our route by going to the "next closest" one.
In our travels we found a handful (and DNF'd none). I was really trying to inflate my ego by boosting my numbers and cleaning up my unfound map. I was going to log a Needs Maintenance before looking but I don't have the copy and paste facilities, or Gsak, and I am not that serious.
Coordinate Accuracy: We found the cache around 2m from where the GPS said we should be looking...can you work on fixing this?
Cache Condition: The container and log book are in good shape, but it was dark and swampy
Took: Nothing.. nothing but a great experience with great company
Left: Nothing...nothing but footprints in the mud
Thanks for the hunt,
Regards
dahumbug and Buck Mitty
Found with the Eight Is Enough night raid group from the Sunshine Coast Geocaching Facebook page. It was refreshing to hang out with the newer cachers as you find their energy refreshing and contagious.
Thank you Wesso Family for placing this cache for us and others to find.

After electro's cache across the way, we couldn't resist a little walk in the dark down to this one. We (Dahumbug, XWF, Egg, Bones, Puumba, Benjamunji, Mr Showcase and muggle driver friend and myself) all walked along chatting, well I kept trying to ensure a certain Benjumunji didn't steal my pen to draw on me (cheeky little thing he is ).
As the numbers were counting down our muggle friend was going off one way (apparently he saw something reflect) while my arrow was saying go the other. This is another time I am very grateful to have others with me, as I'm not sure how much further I would have ventured alone and in the dark. Anyway, I decided to follow my little phone arrow...."Woah that's slippery" I called out (luckily I didn't actually fall over, just almost did) and plunged into the darkness. Now I realised how much the others headlamps were helping as I was just using phone screen light as I stepped deeper and deeper into the muddy swap-like area. I was very relieved when the others all followed and we continued on our way.
Our muggle friend was the one who made the find, even after his previous detour....this guy is coming in handy tonight. [:p]
It was around this time that we tired of writing our names individually/short hand and we just started writing our group name of 8 is enough. (I think)...so if you spot that - you know who we are.
Thanks once again Wesso Family

What's that?? ..... Privatears put out a call on the local Sunshine Coast Geo group .... Does anyone want to join her for a night raid on some local caches? Ummmm YES! Before we knew it, we had a bunch .... EggZachary, Bones74, Privatears, Dahumbug, Mr Showcase, Puumba, Benjumanji, myself .... So Eight is enough we became!! We found a patch of caches and off we went!
The others had relaxed after our last cache find .... Nope. There's another one ....just.....over....there. And off we walked, into the dark (with torches)
I had a muggle mate (geocacher in the making) with me so he took off on the scent. Luckily he's keen and soon had the cache in his hands, we all signed (and we sloshed out of the GZ area)

Out and about with "8 is Enough" (need to trademark that name). We grabbed another nearby cache and as I was heading back to the car some of the others started walking off down the waterfront. I was a little slow on the uptake but followed them anyway. Maybe I should have kept my phone on but the battery was dieing off way too quickly. Anyway got to the GZ which had turned into a swamp after the recent rains and it wasn't too long thankfully before our muggle mate gave us the call we all wanted to hear "got it!!!" The log was quickly signed and we all headed back to the car with soggy shoes. TFTC Wesso Family
Out for a bit of night caching with 8 is enough tonight. Had found the cache across the rd and now part of the group was heading in a different direction to the cars... have they lost the plot? Are they lost? As we approach GZ And head in privatear sings out oohh it's slippery. ... thanks for that tip, as i squeel and slide down the tinee slope. Another cache where I'm glad I'm not the one who had to retrieve the cache!
Tree cover played havoc with coords a bit but found after scouting around. Nice hide. Found with Secret7(P).
Out for a cache run with GeographyMan and Geosister. This one was a tricky little hide. Camoed in very well with the surroundings. TFTC Wesso Family
Nice little spot. Will have to come back here sometime with my rod. Thanks

KingKeyLocksmiths, Marina 25 and I headed out today with a certain challenge in mind (25 unique D/T in a day). This was find #19! It was very wet underfoot and our daylight was fading fast but with the help our phone flashlights we soon had the cache in hand. TFTC!!
5/7/15 Out for a day with Zardecoh and Marina25 to complete the Unique D/T challenge. The daylight was fading fast and we will had 6 caches to find. This one required a longer walk that wanted, but we thought we could do it quick. As we arrived at GZ I was glad I had hiking boots on...the ground was quite boggy. Unfortunately no-one brought a torch, but in here at this late time of day a torch would have helped. We tried to use a phone torches and soon i let out a happy noise...WOOHOO..found it! We signed the log and made the quick dash back to the car to continue on our challenge journey. TFTC and our 19th find for the challenge.
I had considering one parking spot for this but it seemed like a rather long walk, so I did a little more driving and got a better spot. Don't get me wrong I do not mind a little walk, however with a certain task in mind today I needed to watch the time.
So 250m later I was leaving the path and heading in towards the cache. It would seem though just as I stepped in some mud that I realised I was wearing the shoes I had ear marked for my night out tonight. So some careful stepping and soon enough I was near to the cache and had managed to keep the shoes relatively mud free.
Cache was soon spotted and I got my name added to the log before replacing and making my way back to the car.

Found a good access point and took an enjoyable walk to GZ. The trip was made more enjoyable watching the idiot in the boat roaring upstream finding the sand bank. They had to get out and push the boat back into deeper water.
Finally at GZ and of course I head to the wrong one. Barb locates the cache.
Log signed, cache replaced.

I had just finished working at the Kawana Lab and heading back to Buderim when I thought that I might reward myself with a Geocache for having to work on a Saturday. I remembered this cache as it has been annoying me by just sitting on my map for a while. "That's the one!", I thought before thinking about the BLISTERING HEAT outside of the car.
I pulled up as close as I was going to get and jumped out of the car. It was like jumping out of the freezer and into an oven! I had second thoughts and then, as we always do, pushed them aside and made my way towards GZ. I was about half way "This ain't that bad...". When I got to GZ "THIS IS AWEFUL!" as sweat was slowly taking over my being.
There were a few places to check at GZ though not before long I had the cache in hand. I quickly signed the log whilst trying not to fill the entire cache with sweat. I also decided to save the TB that was trapped out in this hellish weather. I quickly made my way back to the car whilst battling the heat of hell! I quickly slipped into the car, cranked the air-con and drove off into the distance.
Thanks for the cache Wesso Family. All is in good order though there may be a few sweat drops on the log...

Beautiful afternoon. Rowers going by as we were hidden amongst the trees with our find. Took dinosaur. Left green bead charm. TFTC
We are getting closer and closer to our finish line with this being our 7th last needed cache for today. Not fully reading all the info on this before we arrived I was feeling a little disheartened as I walked to GZ with the geokid and I could see 4 or 5 fishermen using the rotunda....thought that's where the hide would be. Reading as I was walking now and checking out the direction of the hide I was being to feel more sure of a smiley coming our way. Near to GZ I was sure I spied the hidey spot but again nope!! Then geokid spotted the well covered cache and with a little cheer the log was signed and we could move on. TFTC and being part of our crazy adventure today wesso family
I headed to the rotunda nearby and had to wait 15 minutes while fishermen packed up their catch.
Found the cache, but not as expected. It was out in the open for all to see. Very wet inside, the logbook is barely ok. I removed as much water as possible and put the cache on slightly higher ground, making sure it is well covered. It now sits about 3 metres from the exposed location.
Wesso may want to check on this one.
