We wanted to do a geocaching walk and decided on this part of the Heysen Trail.
It was a great day, sun out, no wind, stunning views and gorgeous wildflowers.
There were a surprising number of people who had the same idea, so a bit of stealth was required.
Thanks spuddymoore and mogni.

No luck for us today but delighted that we had seen two kangaroos near the path keeping an eye on us as we passed. Thanx
out for the day with the co and allister w for a maintenance run for this series. We walked the trail in reverse.
Great day with perfect weather. I joined Sir Spectre and mogni to walk The Heysen series and perform maintenance on all the caches along the way. We meet at the #1 end then drove around to start our walk at #22. A very nice walk with less up and down than I was expecting. Great views along the way with good company made this a very enjoyable walk. Thanks mogni for your efforts in adopting and maintaining this series.
Walking the Heysen with Pony1966 on an unseasonally warm April day.. well hidden. TFTC
Must be blind couldn't find this one caching mojo is way off at the moment tfth
So this was a walk along another section of the Heysen. A very cloudy day around 28 degrees or so. You could say a somewhat perfect day - perhaps a few degrees cooler and it would have been perfect. I walked up a small sweat which was evaporated by the light breeze. Coastal views spectacular. [^]
Thanks to spuddymoore and **clear skies** from TeamAstro. [^] Cache the planet!
An easy find here...
Lovely walk.

Found this by accident during a Trail Run along the Heysen. Elected not to cache as I wanted to focus on the run, but saw a spot that seemed to scream "cache" at me. Further investigation confirmed my suspicion. Thanks for the hide.
#11640. Day 6 of our SA holiday. Our first full day in Victor Harbor. What to do today? Relax for a few hours this morning, have lunch and then hit the Heysen Trail for a short walk and a few other caches around town.
We continued as far as this one today. Found it easily enough and picked up a nice pathtag that was put in here in July. Left one of my Phryne - Mirror pathags here. We went over to the cliff face for drink and refreshments before returning to the geo-chariot.
Thanks spuddymoore

Day Six of our holiday, BettyBoo3747 and I spent half the day cleaning up the mess we had made so far and restocking the larder. After lunch we had a short walk along the start of the Heysen trail.
This was about as far along the trail we walked today. Maybe we will come back when I can talk BB into walking a bit further.
A lovely walk along the cliff tops.
We had afternoon tea on the cliffs then headed back to the car.
Thanks for this series.
Thanks, Robmc.

Again... beautiful views and a great experience for body and soul. Thanks for the cache.
Wow this area is so pretty!
A great way to soothe the soul and stretch the legs at the same time.
Thanks yet again spuddymore!

1.5km in a direct line to GZ from where we left our car... well worth the walk to GZ as the **scenery** along the way was **fabulous**. Thanks for the cache and greetings from *New Zealand.*
Found this today while out and about exploring this beautiful coastline. Saw some kangaroos and crimson rosellas as well as a seal off the coast. Cache is in good order. TFTC
Day 3 of a 3 day walk from Tapanappa to Rosetta head. Nice to collect a few smileys along this stretch but it's tough bending over with packs on! Thanks spuddymoore
Found at 7:11:00 AM with Uni, Semik, Liz and Bruce and Moneydork on an early morning hike on a rather warm morning.
While staying at Adare Caravan Park we planned to do the series of geocaches along the Heysen Trail going from King Beach to Waitpinga through the Newland Head Conservation Park. We were fortunate enough that a few fellow geocachers were willing to complete the walk with us even though the forecasted temperature was 41 degrees. So with that in mind, we had a round table meeting at the pub after dinner and decided that we needed to get up at 5am to be at the start of the track at 6am. So in the predawn light we started our hike. Finding the caches along the way gave us the chance to have a break and reform as a group. The heavy cloud cover and cool breeze were welcome and contributed to keeping the heat to a manageable level. The views were distractingly wonderful and the 5 hours it took us was an absolute delight with our happy group which comprised of Shonkylogic, Moneydork, SEMIK, Uni and Medusa. This is geocaching at its best. Thanks to spuddymoore for placing this cache which encouraged us to do this tremendous walk.
Out for a stroll along the Heysen Trail with Freddo, 3 LG and Earthlight1
A pleasant day and pleasant company made for a nice morning.
Saw a few kangaroos along the way alonmg with some great scenery.

Today we head of for a 13 k walk with Freddo, earthlight and Team Waldron, lots of great views along here and we even managed to free a Sleepy lizard that was trapped in the fence, it would have died either from exhaustion or overheating, we saw a couple of roos along the walk and it was a great day out. Headed out along the trail with Freddo, Team Waldron and 3LG.
A great walk for all of us to enjoy the views and locate caches along the way.

A good day out caching with Cows With Guns along part of the Heysen Trail. A magnificent walk.
Thanks for bringing us to such a lovely area.

Out for the day with the geo kids from school and our adult helpers. Great day for the 12 km walk along the Heysen. We had a brilliant day with superb scenery and plenty of geos to find. Thanks for these geos and for making our day so enjoyable. We signed as “Pem Kids” on most geos. We consisted of braveheart17, pomoore83, AB123, chatterbox3, bananabros, greedy parrot, wattsUp13, lozanger, esromL plus a few more, 12 in all.
Traveled to Victor Harbor today with a group of fellow students and teachers from school. Luckily the rain held out this morning (just) and it was a great day out. Managed to find 27 caches in total walking along the Heysen Trail, including a First to Find! Group entry in log book as “Pem Kids”. Great views all along the way too. Thanks for the cache!
Malco! and T_M walked the 17km section of Heysen Trail from Waitpinga to VH. The whole trail is approx. 1200 kms long so we've only covered 1.7% today. Beaches to rocky cliff-lines and back to beaches and houses.

Walked this one with Tiger Muffin. Left Waitpinga at around 10:30 and finished at 3:30. With 32 caches to find along the way adds an hour or two to the walk and only one DNF. Great weather and the views spectacular. Surf was fierce with 3 metre waves pounding the rocks at the base of the cliffs.
This must be within easy walking distance from the east, as there are quite a few log entries.
Thanks for the cache, spuddymoore.

I just love this stretch of coastline.. a true gem of the Fleurieu Peninsula (if not South Australia) Well worth a walk and it's a bonus to find a few caches. Breathtaking! This one took a while.... found on the way back as we did not find it the first time. Stop and enjoy the view!

Our final cache along this stretch of the Heysen Trail. Hopefully someday I will get to fill in the trail between Cape Jervis and this spot -- with some planning, of course. Then I'll want to walk the points east of #1. Thanks spuddymoore, a truly scenic trail of caches.
Found after some searching. I really must do more walking along this part of the Heysen trail, but for now back to the carpark. Thanks for getting me to take in this part of the trail spuddymore.
A quick and easy find on a beautiful stretch of coastline. Love the Heysen trail.
Thanks for the cache!
Thanks for the cache!
And that completes the set. Had a great walk along here today. Was trying to rain but fortunately for us that didn't come to much later.
Thanks for taking us along another bit of the Heysen trail spuddymoore.

Unfortunately for us, it was quite a windy/drizzley miserable day but that didn't stop our geocaching adventure. We set off after the rain cleared and found 11 treasures, with 2 non-finds. The Heysen Trail was certainly something that we'll never forget, and our feet won't either!

We found this cache after an enjoyable 4.8 kilometre return walk from the car on a perfect summers day. Cache was found quite quickly, which was good as the flies were starting too really test our patience.
We had a bit of lunch nearby before taking our time on the walk back to the car, grabbing many pics on the way.
Thanks spuddymoore.

Cache found in the last place we looked, which was as usual not the first place we looked. Thanks for the cache guys, we loved the stroll and the views. Beautiful today.

Had quite an adventure with this one. At first was walking around in circles and by the flattened grass I felt others had the same run ! Then I heard a rustle and was confronted by a 1.5 m Grey Kangaroo!! Bit too close as I know they can rise up if startled. After some hesitation he moved on.
Then I looked on the correct side of the object for a fast find! TFTC SL

Excellent views, and happy to find it after a hot walk, but should have brought some water us. TFTC.
The last one on mostly successful short stroll along the Heysen. Lovely views. Thanks spuddymoore.
And the last one no chance, was a nice walk but my little ones where very tired and where so sad that we didn't find this one. Don't think that we will come back for just one, perhaps later when kids are older... or when the series will going on..???
found it : Came in the back door !!! Great views of the rugged coast & cliffs .....
The views are fantastic along here on a good day , my Favorite is a few k's west of here looking back to west island ...even better with seawings ... & a cup of tea with the bird lady ....

The final find on our day out with Irac & co today. What a sensational walk along a beautiful part of the SA coastline. TFTC & thanks for the day Irac! Picked up Panda
This cache was the turn around point to a really great walk with Timber06. It was great to admire that amazing ocean and the stunning views. An incredible part of the world right on our doorstep. Thanks for placing this one Spuddymoore and giving us a chance to enjoy it. Left a glass fish to replace the Panda TB which T06 will be moving on. We hope that you will continue this series. We would have our hands up to go find them if you do.
Cache was in plain sight, just a plastic bag with a toy in it. When looking further found the log hidden rather cleverly.
#5 of 12 for the weekend.
The four caches took us about 2.5 hrs in total and we covered about 4.5km. Not fast or long distance by some standards but we had an enjoyable walk along a beautiful piece of coast line. A fav point from us for each one.
Thanks spuddymoore for the cache and the series.

On a cacheing trip with the CPWanderer and set of on the heysen trail to get these caches it was a 5 kilometer round trip so thanks for the exercise and the cache
Before Deenifty and I set out to do the four Heysens I checked the straightline distance to this one from our park at the end of Kings Beach Rd. It was 1.4 km. but as Deenifty has written the actual return trip was a good 5 km. A great little series that has inspired me to return one day and continue on to Waitpinga. Thanks Spuddymoore!!
Found at 14:50 by Olga. We brought the dog, not realising the trail led into the park

The heysen trail is so interesting in many places taurus00025 and Stussy80 spotted an eagle flying above but I wasn't quite quick enough to catch it on camera Love being out in nature when its at its finest [^] TFTC
Found at 8.38am. Four FTF's and another great view. SL and spent a bit of time just sitting and watching the ocean as there was quite a large swell running making for some large breakers. Hope this is not the end of the series. You've started something now spuddymoore. Another favourite from me. TFTC
YAY my 300th find (well 303 but I'm not a premium member lol) this was worth the find & walk, great, fantastic, awesome views Thanks spuddymoore
