Day 1 of a trip to the Barossa Valley to do some of the Five Oh and Barossa geoart series, as well as any others that are nearby. All caches were found in good condition unless mention otherwise in log. TFTC
Time to get back together and motor through the rest, have attended 18 CITO's at the time of finding this cache, great fun catching up whilst doing your bit to clean up
Now that the main reason for our journey was over and multiple caching trails were completed it was time to venture home. Our Mob had gone separate ways. Only three teams left now us, Rapidlywild and The Drovers. We cleaned up a few more while in the area before making the slow journey home. All the others had previously completed this trail but thankfully they were happy to help out and drive around the loop again so we could get our name in the logs. Thanks for the hide and series Mattycat and thanks for a fun adventure Rapidlywild
Out to get some numbers early to reach 4K by the end of march. Citos are wonderful for the environment, just a shame they have to happen. TFTC SEMIK and Mattycat.
The weather is getting very warmer, but I won't give up until the series is completed... I'm so happy to sign as an EV, and thank you for the cache and hunt. Some of the caches need TLC and refresh.. due to some damp log and damage to the container, etc..
Found it! Knocking off a few of the 50 today. Didnt spot it straight away as it was a little buried. Logbook is full. TFTC!
Carrara Hill Road between Research and Sturt Roads is gated to prevent vehicle access. The walk was lovely, though. The wheel ruts are very deep and waterlogged.
We had some cows follow along with us as we walked the length of their paddock – one had ‘Misty Moo’ written on its ear tag.
Please excuse the copy and paste.

While staying in the caravan park, we decided to do some geocaching nearby. This series is a nice opportunity.
Thank you Semik and mattycat!
Easy find again by Benjamin.

Out for a couple of days of caching on a holiday weekend. We’re going to do the 50 trail and had an issue back in the 5 so have shifted tack and this is our thirty first find for the series. TFTC
DO NOT ATTEMPT TO DRIVE ON THIS TRACK, even with a top of the range 4WD you can still get bogged.
It is however a lovely track to walk.
We’ve loved doing this series.
It certainly has been an adventure.

Think I logged the whole series this morning but can’t be sure till I see smileys on the map. Installed new logs where needed (a few were mouldy), replaced caches that were def missing... one was just a base no lid or log. Got twigs in my hair, drove down a goat track (you know the one), consumed water and fruity chews, found a few on the ground, most were exactly where I thought they’d be Picked a zillion bits of speargrass outa my old runners.
A real pleasure to explore this region today

We have been doing a bit of CITO along the way. So far we have 60 cents! Thanks for the increase in the bank balance!
CITOs are always a good way to give something back while enjoying the game.
Thanks for the cache Mattycat.

Day 436 ( Saturday 7th) of our trip. Caching along the way, in Greenock today. Going to finish off the Five OH run which was too wet to tackle last time we were here. TFTC
Today we are on our way from Peterborough to the Barossa Valley and are trying to pick up some caches on the way.
#28: As we were sitting in the car the whole day, we decided to make a short walk. We came across the 50ies and as we noticed they we quite easy, it was a good way to motivate Little Umegüxle for a walk. He was always proud, when he could find one. Alle caches we made on our way could be found without any problems and are in good condition.
Regards from Switzerland.

Thanks for the five oh series. I had a great day caching, adding some good numbers to my tally. I arrived at this one from the north, then headed east, steady as she goes

After finding the cache, signing & dating the log, geo hubby Animal62 decided it was time for a cuppa coffee out of the thermos & a nice buttered finger bun.
I certainly didn’t say no to his lovely idea, after all, geocaching is hard thirsty work & we must keep up with the sustenance to help us along on our journey to gain as many smiley faces as possible today

No9 today so sorry for the generics but here we go. Here for the TDU 2020 and definately some intestate caching. Located all available of the 51 except for those in the 30s not listed. Thank you for the adventure and the challenge. The 4x4 section is overdue for a grader job. Cheers
After spending most of the morning and early afternoon in my car going from cache to cache, it was time to get my bike off the bike rack and get some exercise.
I parked near #35 and the set off on my bike to complete the 0 trail. Then moved my car to the 5 trail and again set off on my bike.
Not sure how many kilometres but in today’s heat, it was quite a work out for me.
All caches found. One cache needs a new container (#35) and about half a dozen had damp logbooks but still write able. All others were good.
Thanks for creating and maintaining this series- I had an enjoyable afternoon.
Thanks for the cache SEMIK.

While staying this area we knew we just had to do the caches in this series, plus a couple of others close by. All except one log was signed, all containers were replaced in position before we moved on again. There was a huge variety in the condition of the logs which varied from one that couldn't be signed, through to acceptable, good and some were excellent.
We decided to give a few caches a miss, as the tracks leading to them were deeply rutted and not appealing at all.
Many thanks go to the CO's for each cache placement.

The caches around here looked like fun, so we came along with goingplaces2 and had a good go at these ones. Some tracks were good, some were OK and some were very iffy. Logs were signed, caches were replaced and the job was done. TFTC.
Visiting the Barossa with LiB for an event today & catch up with friends...
We headed out mid afternoon to grab a few caches...
We could see the road had been very wet, as it was last time I came out for these, today the track was drier and I could see the big tyre ruts...I could straddle the ruts in the Forrester...
These couple of roads could do with a CITO...it seems to be a dumping area for unwanted items...
Thanks for maintaining this cache, Mattycat

Out for a lovely day caching with IcingOnTheCupcake and Guz's Travellers. Unfortunately we didn't get to finish the 50 today as the roads were too wet. We will be back when they have dried out. Signed log as MIG. TFTC.

Hi there SEMIK.
We found your cache **"Five Oh - 9 Citos"** today. (This makes our find count 22089).
Today we headed out from Kapunda to attempt the "50" series We thoroughly enjoyed today's cache finds but due to some high winds we had to abort our run half way and return to camp to rescue our caravan awning before it blew away. Please excuse our boilerplate logs - we know it's not really a good excuse, but we find it difficult to craft individual logs when we attempt so many similar caches in a day. [:(!]
###It would be a good idea to employ a 4WD vehicle for caches 5-8 due to the severely rutted track.###
We found 27 caches today & DNF'd 0. Thanks for placing the cache here, without geocaching as our guide we would never have found so many interesting places on our travels.
**Coordinate Accuracy:** We found most caches within a few metres of where our GPS said we should be looking. [:(!] (We did have to look a little further afield for some though). [:(!]
**Cache Condition:** The containers and log books were mostly in good shape.
**Took:** Nothing
**Left:** Smiley Badge in the majority of caches.
Thanks for the hunt today,
Regards
Ian & Penny

Thanks for the cache and placement Five Oh - 9 Citos , SEMIK Find Number #4906 at 15:54 Hours
It’s a shame we couldn’t finish the series as we didn’t have good foot wear or a 4wd as tourists in a hire car
For ease we stamped the logs as "Fabulous Randoms" today
A nice trail to do......the section in the middle for 4WD was a little hectic at times, but we got there. Overall an enjoyable and fun time was had.
Thanks so much for this series of caches SEMIK! [^]

After being out north on a FTF hunt the second part of plan B was to finish off the Five Oh series.
Found them all and even managed to drive the very rutted section in the impreza.
Thanks for the cache and series SEMIK

Thought we would have to walk to these last few as the roads were wet and slippery when here earlier in the week but we’re going by car at this stage. Great series. AnsMisty 7/9/2018
Targeting this 50 series with gridge98 for the day, as well as surrounding caches. A few scattered showers around, and a little nippy, but otherwise a nice spring day. Nice to be driving around cattle and goats. Thanks for the cache placement, cheers.

Eye spied, Eye found, Eye logged, Eye left trinket. Cache replaced in hiding spot. TFTC !
Hahaha - and we thought this road was bad last time we came through Nuri, gee what a mess. We were in 4wd from Shonky's cache, with hardly any firm ground to get out of the car.
Cache found as we moved on. Thanks for the placement on this very muddy road.

Originally we were only going to do half of these today but we found them so quickly that we decided to grab them all. Easy finds and accurate coordinates certainly helped. We didn’t attempt #2 as we could see the bees without getting out of the car. Caches 5-8 were a challenge as the road was extremely rutted but as it was so dry we did manage to get through with our high clearance vehicle.
Thanks for the trail SEMIK
