After meeting up with FF and Big Matt during the Oz Mega Event this weekend, we packed up this morning and headed out to do a few local caches before making our way towards Adelaide. We stopped by this one as we were heading out of town, and after a short stroll...the cache was soon spotted. It's interesting how time changes all things.

Quick find while at OzMega Murray Bridge Easter 2014

Our 8315th overall find.

Found with FarmerFrentzen and Marcus Vitruvius on our trip to the OZ Mega 2014. This was a very impromptu trip with my manager only approving my leave a week or two out. We managed to snag some cheap flights and met up with MV in SA to have a roaring 3 day tour.

A wander back to this one for a simple find, those rocks sort of stand out!

Doing some quick caches after the OZ mega event. TFTC!

Following on after the frensy of the Mega eveny we had a very quite run around Murray Bridge trying for a few that we had not yet found time for. As stated by CO this was not a difficult hunt but the smiley shines just as bright.

Last day in Murray Bridge and doing twenty or so caches today whilst waiting for the washing to dry. Fly out of Melbourne on Sunday for home. I am at the SA MEGA and it is the last official day of the MEGA.
I am out and about findings caches. The biggest decision was where to start.
This afternoon I stayed in town and found all of those caches I had missed over the last couple of days.

Found during another visit to South Australia for the 2014 OzMega with Big Matt and Shell and Marcus Vitruvius.

A last minute decision to attend the Mega saw Big Matt and I book flights a week out from the event to arrive on Sunday. We caught up with Marcus Vitruvius at the event and decided to combine our search efforts for the trip.

The second last cache of the day for Kaisho53, Just-A-Trifle and I. This one was previously attempted with Ghostgums in lieu of JAT, but our coords were a little off and we missed the obvious... Back this afternoon, there was a very obvious location quickly identified and the cache was revealed... Hmm, how exactly did we not noticed that last time... [?]

Business taken care of, the cache was tucked back and we hit the road.

Well the big day has arrived and we can log our attendance at the Oz Mega 2014 Murray Bridge and gain the Mega souvenir on our GC souvenirs page It is also the day when we will be attempting the 8 in 1440 Challenge cache so a variety of caching styles were to be found. We had a very interesting morning caching with Team Robins and Everlasting and then after lunch, teamed up with Gunnie 69 and Kaisho 53 at the Flash Mob Event to be followed with an interesting afternoon of caching. We enjoyed meeting all the various caching teams at the Mega Event and the various associated activities. Thank you for having placed the cache shellybobbob [(:)]

Day 3 of the Oz Mega Event, and I was trying for 10 different cache types in a day. This was another quick find along the way.

Found on the last day of Oz Mega 2014, my goal was to find over 90 caches this oz mega to get me to a total of 1000 caches! Having already done the wandering heroes series and the oz mega series this proved to be quite a challenge, we made new friends, met old ones and even visited CPWanderer's house! The best thing of all is that I now leave with over 1000 caches under my belt. Thanks so much for hiding your caches and being a part of my big goal! Sorry for the generic logs, I don't feel like writing almost a hundred individual logs! sorry!

Cached today with Grub Fred and Backwards Charlie. Met many cachers along the way. The OZ Mega Flags were everywhere, what a great idea. Everyone waved to us or blew their horns, had a great time. Fun caches too!!! TFTC

Quick find while doing a bit of late night caching at the Oz Mega..TFTC

I flew into Melbourne and rented a car to come to Oz Mega. This is my first geocaching trip to Australia and I am enjoying it so far. Of course I searched for and found a few caches between Melbourne and Murray Bridge.

After registering for Oz Mega I am doing some caching as part of Team Z (Grub Fred, JMCz, and myself). Thursday we concentrated on the Oz Mega 2014 SA series and found almost two hundred (200) caches. Friday we concentrated on the Oz Mega 2014 Signal series and found almost one hundred (100) caches. Saturday we spent most of our time working on the Wandering Heroes series and found about two hundred (200) caches. Today we did the Mega and events associated with it, and some other caches close by that we had not gotten on previous days. I think many other cachers were doing the same thing today since we found cachers at all the caches we went to.

Thanks to all the volunteers for all the work in putting together the mega event and these series. If it were not for hiders, there would be no finders.

Day 4 out geocaching at Murray Bridge as part of the Oz Mega Event. Today we focussed mainly on geocaches within the Murray Bridge city limits. We had alot of fun with these hides and ran into many geocachers as we made our way about.

Made the find in record time today. Thanks for the hide.

YAY – found it today while in Murray Bridge for the SA Oz Mega Event. Thanks shellybobbob for setting up this cache and bringing me a place of Murray Bridge history. It's a pitty that the old Drive In is no longer here. A quick find and the log was signed.

I found the log blowing in the wind and the container metres fronm the hide. Signed and then replaced back to where it should have been. Passing muggle i suspect.

After yesterdays massive day (24hr caching run getting 727 caches) today was supposed to be a casual relaxed day. However there were still caches out there that had not yet been found. We sisgned as Scavy (slieschke, Cats and Dargons, alpenmilch80, Vistra and myself) and went around the area picking up caches as we came across them.

Geotrails were very prominant by now, so most caches were very easy. Thanks for the cache.

Back in the day I saw many a movie here. Now it's just houses. Oh well. TFTC.

Found when on the way to pick up Ismartis and JJ52 at the showgrounds for a day of caching while at the OzMega. It was the first of many caches for that day and I managed to completely thrash my most caches in a day record - which wasn't going to be hard as it was shockingly low.

I pulled up next to some other cars whose owners were nowhere to be seen. It turns out that these were cars parked up here for sale.

I fought the tempation to get a texta out and alter the signs to say something like, "Quick sale required as owner is moving to Finland. $1000 O.N.O".

Too little time, cache to find.

This was a quick find with an obvious cachey camo standing out like....well a cache.

I quickly grabbed it, signed the log and off I went.

Quite a crowd turned up for this one as we arrived, with 600 plus people in Murray Bridge all after these Caches, occasionally it became quiet busy at some locations, which meant that on many occasions the Cache was all ready in the hands of a Cacher when you arrived. TFTC.

found while trying to compete in the BINGO game

focused mostly on completing one line of Bingo but it seemed that alll I was going to be able to do was get a full circle of the stamps that I did not need aroun the outside of my bingo stamp.

And then 1hr before the deadline BINGO Ihad 1 entry into the competition,

As the draw was anounced I noticed there was only 2 other entries, with 3 prizes we had won something but what??????

We got the first prize a car fridge/freezer....... YAY

Traveled down to South Australia from Townsville, North Queensland, with MattCNS to attend the 2014 Oz Mega Event being held at Murray Bridge.

Day 4 of our S.A. geocaching holiday and the start of the 2014 Oz Mega Event. We spent today caching in and around the Murray Bridge area. All up 35 finds and 0 DNF's.

What a sad history. A drive-in-theater sacrificed for houses.
Think of all the enjoyment missed by a generation in the back row, with vans reversed and .......
Probably a good idea it went to some poor old forward thinking land shark.

Our second day at the Oz Mega and more caches to find, to not find and to wait for muggles and to wait other geocachers to do their bit. Many thanks to the organising committe and the band of dedicated volunteers that got this event up and running.
