Unable to get back to this location to do maintenance. Sadly we have to archive the cache which means this secluded little swimming hole will be just that as without the cache few people even know this place exists. Thanks to all those that took the time to log DNF.

First of all: thanks for bringing us to this place. Without geochaching we wouldn't have known this place.
We had the place all for us alone. Unfortunately the Geocache location is used as a toilet by mugglers.
So searching is a little bit tricky. Unfortunately we couldn't find the cache. This would have been a favorite if I would have found the cache.
Late logging because we were on a holiday trip and didn't have access to the internet.

12:07 , Down Under 2014 .

Joe Possum walked in on 12 June and found the location but no cache. This maybe because the additional hint was not at hand or the recent fire through there had burnt out the cache. In any case this is a magical spot with a lovely pool. Didn't swim as others were waiting back at the road in the campervan which was not allowed off the seal.

Thanks for bringing us to this out of the way spot that we would have never known existed. Enjoyed the area before heading into the more known about parts of Kakadu.

TFTC,
Spent the night close by and started our Kakadu adventure this morning with this cache.
We are in our 4th week of our 7 week Outback adventure which includes this stage when we follow the Rileys Through the Red Centre from Port Augusta to Darwin.
This was a nice spot to bring us to. Having travelled through the area in 2006, we can't even find the places we saw then so it is not unexpected to read that the CO found this gem by acciddent, there must be hundreds of them.
Will email the CO with some information I found in the log.
Visited a group of trackables enjoying the experience.

Found today, it was a lovely waterfall and pool, I would loved to swim in this one only you don't know what is in the water. TFTC

Beautiful place! We were first a bit concerned about the croc warnings. But the water was clear and we were many, so that some had a bath while the others watched for crocs. It was great!
When we were back at the picnick area, a group of about 15 students in 3 4wd arrived. They had no fear, grabbed their towels and headed off directly to the pool.
I wouldn't recommend to try the path to the picnick area with a 2wd. There is no room to park or turn the car between the road and that area.
Thanks for showing us that beautiful place! TFTC!

Great location. Hidden little gem of Kakadu. Thanks for bringing me out here. TFTC.

We found this cache during our trip from Broome to Darwin. This cache is worth a favorite point. As we did not have any internet connection in this beautiful but remote area, we could only log it after having returned to Switzerland. Many thanks to the owner, it was fun.

Great spot. Thanks for sharing with us! Pity about the toilet paper and pressie someone has left right beside the hide. Fivegooff.

How nice it is to have a waterhole all to oneself in Kakadu (esp coming after the ever popular Litchfield!!)
Then again, being alone and in unfamiliar territory, we were happy to look but not to swim... It's a gorgeous place, but not where I want to meet my fate! [^]

Cache #2000 for the eletab family! Thanks for placing it in such a cool spot! The waterfall nearby is amazing, my friends and I really enjoyed the Kakadu trip!
The cache is in good condition, you may want to replace the ziplock bag as it's torn, and we found this message for you (sorry, can't rotate the pic from my phone)

Very nice spot, but we didn't want to risk a swim. Thanks for leading us there. It's a pity there is no sign on the road to lead tourists to that nice picnic spot.

Nice Picknickarea and idyllic place.
thanks for showing and greetings from Austria, lachia

Thanks for showing us this great place.
We had to park our car at the main road because there was a kind of barrier and off course our rental wasn't allowed to go there. This didn't matter at all, we liked the way to the cache/falls and saw a different flora than the days before. It's really amazing how nature can change within a few kilometres.
Greets from Austria.

Cache is all good. TFTC

The lady issuing the Kakadu permits at the Mary River Roadhouse mentioned the turn off to this possible swimming hole, so we thought we would try the track. It was rough and the next people in left their caravan at the roadside, but an unexpected gem. TFTC.

WanderingAus wandered by on day 76 of our annual Climatic Refugee trip, having finally moved on from Darwin to spend a few days at Kakadoo. That was our fourth visit to that magical place, and we still found it very enjoyable.

After a quick climb up the hill to find GC1BXHQ Majestic Mirrai by Groboz we headed out of the park as far as Goymarr Tourist Park (formally Mary River Roadhouse), where we had arranged to call in on muff1 who are working as chefs there.

After setting up the caravan and having the obligatory cup of tea Jackie went back to work and Dennis drove us out to find this cache and GC1DPQF J.A.B.S. Kakadu by CHEDENT.

Dennis hung back to allow me to make a very quick and easy GAFF 0 find, and we then walked down to the amazing rockhole and waterfall, another great place almost 'reserved' for geocachers.

My Groundspeak find No 2824, LCC, TNLNSL, dropped my WanderingAus Happy New Year 2008 Gold GC, my WanderingAus GeoMobile TB and three other travellers in for a visit before grabbing them back again.

TB Bonita (TB3EN9C) was not in the cache, hopefully someone will log the retrieve.

T4TH bubblensqueak, an absolutely top spot.

#1731 Found on the way to Kakadu. Although driving a 4WD (camper) - left the car a bit before the parking area. Nice place, bugging flies unfortunately. T4T$

This is an absolutely beautiful spot. Friends that I went there with said that a few years ago, it had not been visited. I loved it, TFTC.
I agree with recent finders, certainly looks like the area has been razed by fire, so I was pretty impressed the container has survived with only minor damage!

Whow! What a great place! We enjoyed this area, and yes, many thanks for hiding the cache here, otherwise we would not have found this very nice location.

As per our log!

Wow, this is a really great place, such a beautiful little waterfall and rockhole. Really surprised that there are no signs or anything to indicate that this is here. After doing this cache and the J.A.B.S. cache a bit further on, we now expect all tracks leading off the main road lead to places like this. Smile

GZ looked like it has been napalmed though. Easy to spot and reach GZ though. We found the cache still whole although the lid was slightly warped. Couldn't budge the lid either, but some gentle levering with a srew driver managed to disconnect the small melted bit on the top of the rim so we could then unscrew it with no damage to the cache. With the slight deformaty though, some water may be able to get in come the wet.

Left TB and a fav point for this great spot.

TFTC and for showing us this area

22-Jun-12
Found it, but could not open it as a recent fire had melted/distorted the lid and thread end so that the only way in was to break the container. As we had nothing to replace it with, we left it intact. The contents could be seen inside and appeared ok.

A beautiful spot! TFTF

Great spot here. Only 22 deg so no swimming today. Left the snake and took the travel Geocoin.

Amazing loctaion !!
Thanks for show us up.
Without geocaching we would have missed it completly.
Therefore we dropped a coin and a bug.
We let the water-lizard stay in the pool.
Very beautiful animal.

On advice of the visitorcenter we drove to this spot.
When we returned to our 4wd we noticed that there was a cache so we decided to search for this one.
Almost we thought to be the FTF but that seemed not to be so. ;(
Anyway it is a beautiful spot to visit.

thankyou so much for this cache as it was one of our favourite places to be. it was also a good cache because it was our hundredth find and our 2nd ftf. Smile. We were going up to Kakadu with our boat and saw this cache and couldn't believe our luck. the road is driveable with a boat on the back. Beware of muggles as there were quite a few of them around. this cashe is quite easy if you are new to geocaching. I was told about this spot in 1987 but never got the chance to go there. if it wasn't for this geocache I would never of had gone there. Thankyou BubblenSqueak for this magnificent cache (AND OUR 100th CACHE!Smile

Oh how sad am I. I was here on the 19th June we drove right out to the car park and made a two minute walk to the beautiful rock pool for a refreshing swim. The metal walkway out onto the rocks is a beauty. Been there for many years and lasted the test of time. We met a couple there from Poland that had been cycling around Australia. They had only done 70 kms today they said. They are eventually cycling to Darwin and heading home. We all decided it was a great effort and to much hard work for use especially out here. We offered them a nice cold beer there eye's nearly popped out with excitement.
All the time I was there (we stayed couple hrs) and probably meters from a empty log sheet. Sad. To whoever finds this cache enjoy this little gem a rock pool.
