We walked around the cemetery to find the graves for the required info. Once we had gathered the data, was a quick find at GZ. TFTC
Out and about today with LLRPP catching up on some multi's. What a great day to be exploring our wonderful backyard and the Gold history. All good here. Now, onto the next one for the day. TNLN TFTC
Staying in Eldorado for a couple of days with Weirdobiker and jr379, we kept ourselves busy finding caches. This was one of them.I enjoy cemetery caches as it helps to get a feel for the area.We replaced the broken ziplock bag and signed the log which, although being damp, was still usable. Thanks for your work here, Bingley3683
After wandering around in the rain we finally had the required numbers. The log was damp so a new bag was sought from the car.
Probably the easiest of Bingleys Eldorado multis. Found reasonably easy even without spotting one of the resting places. TFTC and SL at 10:10am.
Out caching and poking around with the family this arvo before tonight's night cache event in Eldorado. Little bit of time to kill before the event, so we headed out to attempt this one. Pays to read the cache page properly as it would have greatly narrowed down our search for the required info. Got there eventually.

Just managed to complete this one before the heavens opened again. One of the names eluded us until geowife expanded her horizons and enabled us to complete the calculations. A quick find in a beautiful cemetery. TFTC Bingley3683 and a fav awarded.
I had no problems finding two but that was all I could manage to find.
I returned to the car and played around with numbers until I had something that looked good.
I was taking a brute force stab in the dark however after a short search of my GZ...Bingo! I found it.
A rewarding find
Thanks for the cache

After an evening of adventure and setting some hostages free, OzHockeyChick and I set about exploring a few more caches nearby before heading our separate ways.
OzHockeyChick needed a multi today for someone’s challenge and so we set off exploring this one. With the answers to hand we set off to reach this cache.
Thanks Bingley3683 for adding this cache to the worldwide collection for us all to enjoy.

Headed up north for an adventure in Eldorado with a few others.
I needed a multi today to fill a spot in a grid for a challenge, so we headed here to visit some graves. Eventually found everything we needed and headed to gz where a bit of a stretch was needed to retrieve the cache from its hidey hole.
Thanks for bringing us here by placing this cache, Bingley3683

Found previously with BlackOpal2005. We thought it was time to create our own accounts.
We were in the neighborhood so we thought, why not?!
Well, we needed to search at the back and far and wide to find the necessary figures, but once found, a quick and easy find.
Now we are intrigued and need to know the history of these golden pioneers!
Funny thing, we managed to find a youngest to oldest death within 8 graves in one row….stillborn to 100 years.

Driving through Eldorado and thought "there would have to be a cemetary chache around here". Luck would have it, there was one. I love exploring cemetaries in old rural areas, and luckily Ausyowie is happy enough to tag along and find caches with me as I do. Cache located fairly quickly and we were back on the road.
Today we found Here lie the Golden Men on our travels. We came to look at an impressive dredge but a good cemetery cache is always appealing. Numbers done, cache signed and then for a little wander seeking out military graves as the Chief loves his military history.

Continuing our holiday traditions of my wife off on a long 10 km+ run while I go geocaching somewhere, El Dorado was chosen as today's destination.
I am trying to not avoid multicaches at the moment and this one looked interesting and shouldn't be full of muggles. As such, I headed over here to check out the old cemetery. Was able to work thru it all and find the cache easy enough on my second circle of the GZ. Signed right on 8 am.

After completing the OCR series with our great friends Suscoe this morning, we spent the afternoon exploring the countryside and seeking jointly unfound caches in what appeared to be Bingley3683 territory around Eldorado, Chiltern Valley and Springhurst.
Collecting the numbers here was made more interesting here as H-P was possibly looking for a relative.
Thanks Bingley3683 for placing interesting caches for everyone's enjoyment.

Found as Nicnax with PapaGrouch. We visited this cemetery to look for this cache. First we found half the information we needed, but were having trouble finding the rest. While searching around we actually found the cache and signed the log. Then we went back to looking for the rest of the information, which we eventually found. Only half backwards finding this one. Lovely peaceful spot for a final resting place. TFTC
Thanks bingley3683 for this Multi found with Muggle Hubby on our way to the event at Eldorado this morning.
Wood cutters have been busy in the area lopping a lot of branches off the trees nearby.

After the event I tried for a few of the accessible caches around Eldorado - will be back for the more strenuous ones on a slightly warmer (and hopefully drier) day.
Love a cemetery cache and this was anither good one. While the geohound chased the choughs I hunted the graves. Found 3 out of 4 and in the end that was enough to get me close enough. Cache quickly located and signed.

10 April 2021,what a beautiful cemetery, some lovely statues and headstones...always enjoy cemetery caches...thanks!
Found it. Really like the caches with clues. Coordinates for caches are sometimes hard. TFTC
A couple of noob mistakes made this one a lot harder than it had to be.
First I learned the "back" of the cemetary is relative to where you are standing. It took me way too long to peruse all the graves to glean the information needed to make a find that itself would have been a lot easier if I hadn't then forgotten to switch off the auto rotate function on my device. The GPSr in my phone hates it when I do that and maliciously sends me off in any direction it chooses.
So here I am trying to impress my new caching friend that brought me here to "quickly grab one she already has", and after way too long I have coords for GZ that I am walking directly away from. [:o]
Smooth dalerious, real smooth. [xx(]

Not my favourite type of cache, but on a multi trip today, quick and easy find. Alot of history here, thanks
Interesting walk, thanks for introducing us to some former locals. Dr Rankin took some finding.
Had a walk around and managed to find all the answers. Had to sneakily grab the cache to avoid some nearby muggles. Good find.
Cool location for a cache & awesome history once we found all the clues we were quick to retrieve the cache! Found with Meaghanb66

Down in the borderlands for a weekend of bike riding and kayaking the cache trails with the mob from canberra.... well minus the riding and paddling.. us injured folk and our drivers (GLISS!) are instead exploring the district by car!! Such a beautiful place to visit. Thanks so much to everyone who has placed caches in the region for us to explore. Thanks for the cache!

Let's find a cache in Eldorado ... I do like a cache in a cemetery so this was the multi nibletricecakes and I selected. 3 out of 4 clues were quickly collected... the 4th required a little more exploring and then container was soon found. TFTC
You could say it’s a Golden Day after the bleak wintery conditions of the last few days. On a mission today so Eldorado it is. Love this landscape too. One more day in December and I’ll have filled the year grid challenge! TFTC
Spent half an hour or so wandering around some of Eldorado’s history on a beautiful autumn day. Thanks Bingley for this cache.

I had to do at least one cache while I was here and after a DNF on another, I tried this one. Things worked out well and I was soon signing the logbook, thanks again Bingley3683.
Had some time to kill today. Have had my eye on this multi for some time now, decided today was it.
Hitched the dog up and went for a walk to the local hole in the ground. Took a few minutes to find all the grave markers, fantastic and interesting history written on them.
Had the container in hand soon enough with 10 months unloved to boot!

We have visited a number of cemeteries as we cached our way through the area. They are just so rich in history and interesting characters. Data collection for this multi took a few minutes and we walked around to locate the required graves. Accurate coordinates led to a quick find. The cache and contents were in good condition. Thanks Bingley3683 for your research and for the cache.

#3338 - 14:45; On a caching run around the Beechworth area with fitzy_1965 and Sol de lune including a couple of sections of the rail trail to Wangaratta. Once the trail sections were done, we headed for El Dorado for what looked like being an interesting hour or so. This was perhaps my favorite for the day as I find exploring old cemeteries quite fascinating and a great way to learn a little local history. I enjoyed wandering around gathering the required information before the final assault on GZ. We missed the cache on the first pass, but fitzy produced the goods after another member of the party was a bit reluctant to explore sight unseen . TFTC and a favorite Bingley3683

After finishing a big chunk of the E2W and MMRT series we headed up to Eldorado for a few more caches. After visiting the nearby Earthcache we headed over for this one. What a neat little Multi in a very interesting area. We gathered the required info and after a few looks managed to grab the cache. Signed, returned and we were on our way to the next one.

Always like a multi and always enjoy visiting these areas....so a neat little cache all up. Walked around and gathered our answers and soon had GZ sussed. Missed the cache on the first past, but fitzy saw on another search of the spot and all was good.
Thanks Bingley.......bit of practice before hitting Chiltern tomorrow. Fav point for showing us the area.

Dragons and Bears are staying for a while in Eldorado during school holidays. Today's plan was to explore around Eldorado a bit, and grab a few caches in the process. Part of the delight of visiting any small, old towns is a visit to the local cemetery. This one is one of the best maintained we have seen for some time. Geo-teen set of to visit graves in the correct area, whilst the mother dragon and the old dragon wandered up and down the rows. Soon pens were out recording data as the teen found the correct sites quite easily. Young eyes help a lot! Appropriate figures were calculated and entered into the GPSr and the GZ was quickly found without travelling too far. This was an interesting hide that led to the geo-teen using her youth and agility, and cries of "do I need to put my hand there" Eventually, the well hidden cache was discovered as the geo-teen continued to clamber around GZ and noticed something a bit unusual. SL. TNLN and then replaced the well hidden cache.

We love roaming through these old cemeteries, and this one was certainly no exception. We found two of the WPs with little effort and the other 2 we had to have a second look before finding. At GZ we spent a long time looking and even went back to the WPs and rechecked everything before having a second look. The area around GZ is quite overgrown and the container is deep in its hidey hole, but after at least 20 minutes of searching we did eventually come up trumps.

As usual these are very interesting caches. Did not take too long to work out and find.
#731 A day of exploring and caching as we enjoy a week off work. A nice quiet day at the Eldorado cemetery with light spits of rain falling as we made our way around gathering the info for calculating GZ. Only had a little bit of trouble finding Dr Rankin. As you say in the description, this is a well maintained cemetery.

A wander around a cemetery is always interesting
And in Eldorado, the city of gold, I figured their cemetery would be a good one
It is a very well kept block of dirt !!
Not as many olde graves as I had expected, but they are there.
I suspect signs of the earlier burials have disappeared over the years.
One odd thing about this cemetery struck me straight away.
While the stones face east, and the rising sun, as seems to be traditional, you enter the cemetery from the west.
And here's the oddness .... many of the newer stones have the surnames of those in the plot on the back of the gravestones ? [:o]
I've never seen that before .... anywhere !! [?]
And after an enjoyable 15 minute stroll reading the names I worked out where the well hidden cache was buried

We came here just before sunset and hoped we would have enough light. We always enjoy these places and this one was no exception. We found most of the information fairly quickly and have to say mary Ann and John have an unusual covering on their plot, Dr Rankin played hard to get and as we wandered around we had a smile each time we passed Plot 12+13, it is good to see people with a sence of humour. We eventually tracked down Dr Rankin, changed the coordinates and headed off to GZ. At first we thought we had done something wrong as there was a good hiding location but no cache, the we spotted it out in the open but still intact and all good inside so we added our name to the log before putting it back where it should have been.

my first multi cache find and wow..loved it. thanks to splittie0_0 who helped me squeeze this one in and keep ahead of Chenzo 808.
A nice little wander around a very isolated cemetery! Have always enjoyed these small town cemetery caches, always very interesting. It was good to have a multicache here, as it meant we had more of a look around. Probable could have guessed the final location of this one, but it wouldnt have been the same. Thanks heaps Bingley3683, yet another enjoyable one of yours.
Nice quick find of the actual cache but I reckon some of the dead have swapped graves. Must be a lot of relatives in the area for such a good upkeep. Always find it interesting looking at some of the old graves then comparing them to what is named in the area.

Phoebe is clearly still there and she was the first one I found. It was pleasant wandering round such a well kept cemetery and I was accompanied by a noisy family of choughs feeding and flying ahead of me TFTC
Found by Mary & David at 1130. The best of the trip so far for Mary, who loves cemetery caches with their headstone designs and symbolism, and the social history evident in the inscriptions. We found the first three residents easily enough, but thought that Phoebe must have been out shopping or had remarried, but eventually found her in one spot we'd unintentionally ignored. We noticed several headstones with engraved wattle designs, and noted a number of Cornish men who had lost their lives at El Dorado. Our thanks to Bingley3683.
Thought I'd duck out here and clean up a few more locals earlier this week and this was the first in the area. Have never visited the Eldorado cemetery before so it was interesting from the start. Perhaps shouldn't mention it but I was able to short circuit this one early on. Nevertheless an interesting cache.
Thanks Bingley. I intend to get around all yours bit by bit but it might take me a while.

We were out collecting information for another multi cache and this one happened to be on our travels.
We think that Phoebe Helene Annesley must have been out today because we searched and searched but couldn't find her. Although, the cemetery list of headstones says she is here with Andrew and Lawrence.

I was to meet a friend at Tarra, but they were running late, so a "nearby" search was run and this popped up in prime position.
A quick drive to the cemetery, and I wandered around, finding the first 3 of the golden ones. The last remained hidden to me (like a few other finders before me, I note!) but the lack of the final number left mr with only two real possibilities for GZ. I guessed right the first time, and the logbook signed dutifully.

Been staying in Eldorado. No phone/internet connection so came up the hill to check the emails etc. When finished I thought - hmm, a cemetery. Often there are caches near cemeteries - and lo and behold, there was!
Bit of a wander. Never did find the last clue but I had enough to get me close enough to the cache.
thanks Bingley3683.

# 764. Found this afternoon on our way to Wangaratta and Glenrowan. Took a while to find the answers to the 4 questions but once the coordinates were entered into the GPS the obvious hiding place was revealed. In fact we didn't have to look very hard at all as the cache was lying on the ground without any cover or camouflage whatsoever. We signed log and hid the cache back in its likely hiding spot. Took: Zambian banknote and Left: Pathtag. TFTC
We easily found three of the Golden Men, but the last proved a little elusive. Not so the cache. It was lying out in the sun, can't really say it was a difficult find
We hid it a bit better before we left.
Thanks, Robmc.

Out and about on a night cache with DazRascal.
Have to admit we always love a good cemetary cache and this was no exception. On the other hand - not so keen on a night visit - totally opposite to our caching partner Daz who enjoys the night visits.
Gathered the required information after a bit of a look around the gravesites and then headed off to GZ where we found the nicely hidden cache.
Many thanks Bingley for highlighting the area.
TNLN SL Cheers!

Was here at night with Big Ez cleaning up some of the close to home caches on a Friday nights drive.
Don't know if my its my morbid sense of ...... whatever, but I love visiting this places at night. So quiet and peaceful and you know that no on is going to bother you while your here.
Took us a while to stroll around and find the required info needed to complete the coords, mostly due to the distances between them and not being able to see real well in the dark.
Once found, the coords were plugged in and the Gz revealed itself.
Nice peaceful resting place.
TFTC, TNLN, Cheers.

Found on a windy day out in El Dorado. The cemetery committee here have done a marvellous job in restoring a lot of the older graves. Such great work keeping historical heritage intact.
Even though I couldn't find Dr Rankin it was reasonably easy to figure out the last digit, made easier by fortuitously standing right next to GZ. TNLN, signed the log. Thanks for bringing us here , Bingley. It is such an interesting location.

I have never been to Eldorado but the family and I visited today and we loved the old cemetery. We have a bit of a thing for them in general, but not enough to say that we "see dead people". We love the history and so the kids got to gather the required figures so as to locate GZ. The young ones had no trouble finding the numbers, and geodaughter Grace got the job of finding the cache. Great hiding spot and SL at 2.30pm. Took Tazzie Cuzzies TB and left MollyMoo TB, but muggins here forgot to note the code number. Oops!. TFTC again Bingley3683.

#2833 This was our last planned cache of the day and as it was getting toward 5pm we wanted to collect the information before daylight faded. After a little bit of running around the necessary information was collected & then collated for GZ co-ords & the nicely concealed container was located. We really enjoy these locations & this was no exception. We had been here previously for other reasons & commented then how this was such a well presented cemetery with a great deal of history. We had the obligatory wander around once more admiring the last monuments to people passed. Our thanks to Bingley3683 for the enjoyable multi [^]
Out and about on a Bingley adventure, with geo wife on the back of the 1200 GS heading bush. Pulled in and grabbed this one on the way through. TNLN TFTC

Another quick dash and thought what a great opportunity to grab this one. Found the first 3 quickly but walked around a couple of time until we had all of the info required. Found with Troobloo. Nice quick MC. SL TNLN T4TC
This was our last cache for the day. Having been to Eldy many many times over the years we were familar with the cemetery. What was really good was that I found my uncle who now has a headstone and was right next one of the required graves. We found the required info and made our way to GZ. Cache was found and log signed. Thanks Bingley3683.
This is our second cache for the afternoon and also the 2nd time at this cemetery for caching purposes. Lots of local names we recognise on the headstones and even friends we have known over the years. While we were searching for answers to the given questions we disturbed a small mob of kangaroos who had been grazing just outside the cemetery fence. Did the sums and found the roomy cache at 2.45pm. Took: 8 ball TB & PT Left: Tazzie Cuzzies TB and PT. TFTCBingley and the chance to wander around this lovely cemetery before the rain came down again! #1121
