Logs
Having zero'ed in on the Cache location, had to agree with previous logs. Was not equipped to tackle this one. Will have to keep for a future visit.
A noce find for us too but I was slightly sidetracked with three little people so I need to have a better look next time
Sigh... off I go with sore knees and dissapointment.
Will come back with big gumboots or during a dry spell, thanks

Quick find. Just take care. Wet feet is a real possibility depending how you reach. Thanks for the cache.
We're visiting from Florida, USA. That was great fun but no luck today. Sigh. Thanks for placing the cache.
Two DNF's in a row so I made a cache check on the way past cache is where its always been. On your knees should get you there.
Not sure who got the biggest fright the Pukeko that flew out from under the boardwalk or us. It watched us the whole time we were finding and signing the log. TFTC
We looked for this cache two years ago but the water was very deep. Today there was nothing to stop us finding the cache. TFTC.
Built path in direct route from main rd -1/10 built path entrance next to gate 9.5/10 how did I miss the walk entrance?? I dunno but found the cache pretty quickly once I finally crossed 2 streams blackberry for miles and a swamp TFTC
It's been a busy week at work and so I thought an after-work caching fix wouldn't go amiss.
So, heading out to Mapua way and starting at a scene of a DNF about a year ago, I hit the GZ without any problems and found the cache in the second place I looked, having first thought I had knocked it out of reach!
All good though, log signed, TB dropped in and off to my next cache.

Yes first in on a new container and first on the new log. Don't think I can claim a ftf though!
Thanks magpiy
Thanks magpiy
Unfortunately paper is sopping wet so unable to leave comment on paper. Lid of container is missing. Written on cardboard back. Needs maintenance.

Top of container was broken so cache very wet , did what we could to make it work.
No problems here - another good find with Just-Lookin.
Enjoying the drive around the area.
Cache still in place and in good condition

On a geocaching holiday with tmann421 seeking out caches at the top of the South Island. Thanks to all the CO's for making this such a memorable trip.
Another good hide here.

Came here when Paddle Chick found it a long time ago. Found today on my way home from Mapua TFTC
Container a little broken but everything water tight! Kids excited to swap something!
Last cache of the day en route home. We drove past this cache twice last weekend - the first time we were looking for access to the reserve, thinking it was further on. On our return later in the day, it had started raining so we decided to leave it for another day. Pleased we did because the cache wasn't an instant find and was quite hard to access. Luckily no one was around to see us kneeling (or in StreetWalker's case lying) on the board walk as we tried to grope/see under it. Don't think this will get muggled any time soon.
An odd sort of reserve, the board walk could do with being extended as we had to squelch our way to it. TFTC.

#7735. June probably isn't the ideal month to look for this one. However, it was a fine day and I eventually spotted the cache (while managing not to fall off the boardwalk). TFTC.
Searched quite a bit, but had reservations about seeming to have to leave the boardwalk and trample about, so didn't persist.
What a strange little walkway... To nowhere! Like all good cachers, we followed the trail and the cache was quickly found. TFTC.
Hmmm, this took a fair bit of time and effort, plus I'll be picking gorse out of my knees for a few days yet.
Ms E found it without any damage to herself.

Saw that this cache was close to the road in a reserve as we passed so had to stop to have a look. The find took longer than it should have but it did give me a good clue as to a cache in ChCh that we have not found as yet. TFTC
Had a wonderful walk from Mapua to this cache and yes would be great if one day if they joined a walking path between the too. Thanks
Streaking today for a different goal and that is to achieve 30 in a day for my MGSc qualification. Mrs M in a weak moment agreed to navigate me around a pre-planned route and I would have to say without her assistance I would probably still be out there. Left home at 12:30 pm and back again at 5:00 pm with 29 under the belt and with #30 planned to be a night time FDF of The Streak #3 which is just 100m from home. Fingers crossed that doesn’t go belly up. Find #15. Second time here looking for this and a quick find today as the GC gods shone on me. TFTC
No trouble finding it, but the lid appears to be partially broken. Lets the spiders inside
second time down here with no luck, anyway its a beutifull place down here with great view
[maroon]Day 4 of our 5 day Easter caching roadtrip. Today we were heading from Nelson towards the Mini Trail near Motueka, going up one way and coming back the other.[/maroon]
With so much traffic going into Mapua for an Easter event I was glad this one wasnt exactly roadside so it could give us a little privacy to look properly. We had a really good look in the obvious places but couldnt find anything. It started to spit and we left frustrated. Thanks anyway

After a great caching run on Good Friday this was to be my last cache of the day but sadly it bacame my one and only DNF. I looked all over and around and under but just couldn't spot the blighter. I'll be back
Not sure what the purpose of this walkway is, it seems to start nowhere and go nowhere and there's no sign of any construction work under way. Just a fairly expensive boardwark and little else. I spoke to some other guys who had gone right to the end of the track and they thought similarly. The cache was a quick find helped by dry conditions so that I could get right down on the ground. Signed log, TFTC
We found it quickly, perhaps with the spirit of previous finders helping us focus on what we thought made sense. Nice hide! Tftc
Found it after a bit of searching. I still have the imprint of the chicken wire on both kneecaps ) TFTC
Argh a DNF on our 60 min quest. Not good. Did not look too long tho because we were on a mission.
Grrrrrrr just about lost the plot on this one. Turns out the GPS was bang on..... If only I'd given it a little bit more cred. Sorry GPS. Cool hide in a nice spot that is slowly being overtaken by weeds. Hopefully it becomes something one day. TFTC.
A nice hide found after a short search. It was very hot and dry today so no problems staying clean. TFTC magpiy
Having been here a few weeks ago for a quick unsuccessful search followed by seeing plenty of success from fellow caches. I had no choice but to stop on the way home from Marahau to complete unfinished business. How I didnt spot it last time I dont know. I'm sure I looked there . Good way to end a successful day
A quickish find. A nice spot. Shame that the approach in its present state spoils the effort gone into building the rest of the walkway. TFTC

Well that was a very clever and effective cache hide. Well done with this one. Fortunately managed to stay mud free in the retrieval and replacement of this cache. TFTC

On a perfect Nelson evening we found this cache. Cool hidey spot found easily due to good GPS. TFTC
Had me "stumped" to begin with, it was a good red herring, but finally stumbled on it. On way to event a J House was keen to get a few on the way. Thanks for the cache.
had 2 lads searching, good fun find, thanks. Took little car, left Pokemon cards
Congratulations on beating the usual suspects (includes me!) to placing a cache here. That in itself should earn a reward. Nice spot it is too. Approve of the placement - very durable in this location. Unfortunately the green prickly snakes are coming to make it harder. Dang. A quick find on a beautiful day. What a cool spot for a cache.
Thank you for placing this cache.

Good hide. Looked everywhere but this, but eventually found when I opened my eyes. TFTC. Jackie and Grant.
Time to call by and complete unfinished business today. Don't quite know how I missed it last time. GPS took me closer this time which helped. Nice hide.
I'm looking forward to when this walkway actually goes somewhere. It's sort of like the ad for garage doors. "Get a garage first".

doing a spot of work nearby so i thought i'd take a look. New GPS was not being particularly helpful. Wearing work clothes I couldn't look in all the places I should. Another time....
Nice One!!!!!!!! Bit of a zig zag detour around all of the mud holes. Water had receeded enough to get to GZ. Just! Reserve has great potential. Much fun. Thanks
Found as part of a geocaching trip to and around Nelson. TFTC! Found on 27/8/2012 (but forgot to log the caches from this trip at the time!)
TFTC. It required hopping and skiping to aviod the vastness of mud and puddles until I reached the sanctuary of the boardwalk. The developments here looking great. A really well hidden cache.
Number 53 of our day trip to the lake and around,We were all really tired, but still pumped to get a few more caches especially since We are so close to our highest for a day.We were hoping the cop would not see the lights and come and investigate,Lucky for us he carried on up the hill.A fairly quick find.Cant see much in the dark but will be a beautiful area when its all finished.TFTC
A cool hide. A bit wet and muddy on our visit. We assumed this track will eventually go somewhere - won't it?? TFTC.
Nicely done. It give ideas. A bit muddy around GZ... Thank you for the cache / Merci pour la cache. Greetings from France !
Nice walkway was looking at placing a cache their myself well done as GPS was spot on
What a board walk. Had no idea this had been popped up. No troubles finding cache. Be great to see what else happens in this area. Thanks for the cache =)
I guess I didn't get down and dirty enough - Ugh, or otherwise it's been washed away.
