Went back twice and an confident that I was in the correct spot but alas nothing...
After searching the trees 3 times and searching every pine tree in the place (just in case) it would appear that this has been muggled again.. Was fun climbing trees again...
While I was about 4 to 5 m off the ground looking for errant cricket balls (I didn't find any) MVMB was on the ground level looking for cricket balls as well. After that I got the 'autoscope' out of the car to check and inspect the crevices, of which some are quite significant, and could certainly hide a golf ball!
Messaged the FTFer, but as it was so late will leave it for another day
Thanks for a nice Multi, and info I wouldn't have known otherwise

We found this cache really interesting and had no idea that Bradman played in the mountains. Thanks for bringing us to this spot. TFTC
Love the history. Especially needed to hear about one of our legends of the game after the last Ashes series. Favourite for the history and camo for the cache.

A very pleasant multi on the first nice weekend in a while (at least from my side of the Bluies). We really enjoyed solving the 'puzzle' and marveling at the flogging enjoyed by the Blackheath locals. [Oops... of course, Blackheath won, Lithgow lost!] I wonder where that Bat has ended up after all these years (perhaps I'll re-read...). The cache container takes the cake... A definite fav! TFTH, Toriaz. We enjoyed the playground nearby as well... Love those big swings!!

Finely get to post a find for this cache. After solving this puzzle months ago to find the cach missing. Have been checking each. Week when at scouts also visted by cattrax007 & 4x41411.
Bikerbuddy & I stopped by here on our way to pick walnuts in Mt Irvine. Sadly the container seems to have vanished. I have a replacement for the camo at home, will get this one replaced soon.
From emailing the last 2 searchers, it sounds like they were looking in the correct spot, so there's a chance this one may be gone. I will check on it next time I get to the Upper Mountains.
Didn't happen for me today and with all the searching evidence at my calculated GZ I was surprised to have a DNF. Thanks for the lesson in cricketing history anyway.
Very interesting theme. In Germany Cricket is not very popular and so we learned a lot about this game. But in the end we weren't lucky and didn't find the cache.
Many thanks to the CO for the quick response to our mail.
If we ever get back here we'll give it another try.

A quick calculation gave us just enough time to catch some local scouts who were doing the same cache. An interesting piece of history.

this one is across the park from our scout hall . so decided to introduce our new scout leader to geocaching . we took photo of sign and went back to scout hall to work out puzzle. and quickly worked it out. just as we were replacing the cach riblit and crew turned .nice to meet other cachers . great hide fun for first puzzle cach.
Very impressed with the cache container. Even its hiding place could match the theme. Enjoyed this immensely.
A lucky find with this cache, unable to set the gps with co-ords, on walking to our next cache and thinking of the hint we found it TFTC
Our first puzzle cache and it was a lot of fun. History right on our door step!! TFTC.
One I have had down to do to quite a while.
This park is a good spot to stop with a thermos having collected some yummy treats for morning/afternoon tea/ lunch and the way to or from Sydney.
A perfectly suitable cache for the hunt!

Having done the numbers before we left home we narrowed down the likely hiding spot to a couple of possibilities and upon searching we located the goodies in the second place we looked.
This was a lovely park for a walk around while waiting for the opportunity to pounce on the cache.
Thanks for the cache and the cache and history lesson.

A nice easy multi, have ignored this one for far too long, solved this sitting at Still Lookings house last night, was planning on roaming around Blackheath on our way home. An easy find, a tad harder perhaps to spot now though.
Couldn't resist this one...3 overs for a century doesn't seem possible or fair but then he was pretty special...very cool cache, loved the container! Found with Liv81.
Fun - - TFTC!

Coming from a family of cricket lovers, (not necessarily me, though) it was interesting to read of this feat by Bradman. Puzzle caches are really good fun.
This is a clever and appropriate hide - we were glad to have a nimble young person with us, because we were not quite tall enough. TFTC Toriaz.

Wow!
Last stop before dinner at this great location. Interesting info on the sign (and able to park right in front on a cool day) and then a short-ish hunt to find the great container. Thankfully there were two of us to reach it!
Definitely the favourite geocache for our Blue Mountains trip. Thanks for bringing us to this historic spot - plus the bonus rhododendrons, giant waratahs in nearby front yards and monster swings near the Scout hall.

Find # 4120 on a trip around town after an overnight stay.
Found lots of great views and took lots of photos too.
This was another great place to visit, and to learn something about the great master that I did not know.
At GZ I was not sure if I had the right spot, but after a good search I realised what I was looking for.
TNLNSL TFTC and the lesson too Toriaz,

Our first Geocache for a while. Nice one for our 7 year old who had a great time working out the co-ordinates from the questions and was delighted to find the cache (with a bit of physical help from Dad!)
I had to find this cache as it was on the way back from FYAOAL and froze my arse off here.
Got the numbers and put them into the GPS and started walking and the silly gadget said that I was moving away from the cache so numbers checked(all correct), co-ords checked(also correct) same result, then checked by CO and co-ords put into her GPS and was on my way then my GPS corrected itself and hide found but alas! I couldn't reach, Nickoheap agreed to be boosted up to retrieve the wonderfully camouflaged cache.
I didn't know about the fastest ton until Toriaz placed this cache, thanks for the history and for the cache and for freezing your bits off to watch me find it [:x]

What a fantastic little cache !
A very interesting story of probably Australia's greatest sports hero. And after gathering all that info it wasn't far to the cache for an easy find. Glad I stopped in the mountains for this one today. TFTC!

Figured out the coordinates some time ago. Found with auntyaunty earlier this week.
Thanks for another great cache in beautiful Blackheath!

#1337- I am fond of multi's and this is another of those I wanted to get crossed off my list. Having arrived in Blackheath, I did the easy calculations and plugged them into the GPS only to be told I was 5 km away. I plugged them in again- same deal. Could I have made a mistake?-went back checked them again: no same co-ords. I plugged the same set of figures in to get a spot which made sense. A brisk walk and I was at GZ, thinking, how? Having come this far, I certainly was not leaving until I had this cache! Often called the hobbit and not being fond of climbing, moving the car next to the spot to get a leg up helped and I soon had CIH. I may not be as smart as some, but lots of commensense prevails here.Replacing it was also not easy, but with the aid of an umbrella, it made it back safely to its hidey hole. Thanks.
Beauty !
Steps were useful.
Clues were great. Probably better if you dont know about cricket - attention to detail is everything !
Enjoyed a trip to the road to one of Blackheaths better lookouts for my complacency !

Well it has taken quite a while for me to get here, I have been ignoring it since it combines 2 of my pet hates, multis and micros.
However it was my loss and I have to admit I did enjoy this one very much.
last night I finally looked at the listing and it seemed pretty straightforward, I even managed most of the answers, so that I only had to check up on 2 more to get the final coords.
Got to GZ and spent a few minutes walking around, the right spot was obvious but I was a bit too short, it must have been quite a sight to see this 63 year old doing acrobatics!
Got my hand on the goods and that did raise a wry smile, very appropriate camo indeed, quickly signed the log and returned the cache to its spot.
Thank you very much for an entertaining cache, and yes I don't mind admitting I was wrong to ignore this one for so long.

Drove straight up to the info and spent about 10 mins reading and marvelling at Bradman's feat here.
With all the data collected and a likely gz identified we headed off on a short stroll. The very creative cache container revealed itself after 2 ciricuits of GZ. Very clever and humorous!!!

PPE and I were meeting up with a team for the Daylight cache attempt here in Blackheath. We arrived early so went to try for another Toriaz cache. We parked and got to the sign to read up on this very interesting history. Got all the clues, did the maths and then we were on our way to GZ. Getting there we saw all the possible hiding holes, but after a short while PPE came up wiith the find. SL and replaced. Thanx Toriz for the history and cache camo loved it TFTC.

What a batsman - love the history!
Did the maths the day before and came back with the kitchen stool.
It certaintly helped to reach the Cache - being short and all!
Thanks for a great Cache.

It certainly wasnt a day for caching, the heavens had opened up, the fog had rolled in but the urge to find some plastic was overwhelming.
Arriving at WP1 we soon had the info necessary to move on to GZ. Here I was drawn between 2 options but after a short search I had the six stitcher in hand.
Its a shame we'll never see another batsman of the Bradman caliber again. Heaven knows we need it.
Thanks

Yet another great idea for a geocache!
As a cricket enthusiast for nearly 40 years, I was embarrassed to find that I knew nothing of this 'quickest ton' -- and located so close to home . . .
Reading up on the ancient history, I of course tried to solve the puzzle without first driving to the sign at the oval. However, unless you access sources I couldn't find online, there's one bit of info that's only available on site. And, as well, Wendell Bill's final score seems to be a matter of differing opinions -- don't go off trying to find the square root of two. One other required number will also be easier to compute when you see the Blackheath commemoration notation. Anyhow, it's a place you'll want to see and not all that far from GZ in any case.
I found the clever and very appropriate container using one of my favourite geocaching tools -- always riding along in the back of the GeoBuru2 with me -- and really enjoyed it. All was well with the contents, even though the 'outer container' was damp.
TNLNSL.
Many thanks to Toriaz for another imaginative hide!

Arrived to the Bluies early this morning for the Autumn Bluies Event, and when I saw this newly published cache, I couldn't resist. After reading through the information, I plotted the coords, and was soon at GZ where the cache was found after a bit of climbing. This is one of the most remarkable feats in cricket, and it would have been unbelievable to witness it happen. Great multi.

Oops, luckily Jonnosan is more on the ball than me & noticed that I initially forgot to define "M" for the final coordinates.
