I remember looking for this cache at some point last winter. I didn't find it last time as I was conscious of some locals training nearby. Only took a few minutes to locate this cache this time, a lot of possible places it could be hidden, but eventually spotted something that looked out of place. Thanks for the cache.

29-Jun-14
Felt a bit dodgy hunting here at night with a light. Didn't even notice the local until he asked if I had lost something. Took a while to realise I should be hunting on the other side. Thanks.

Nice wee find on walk to school this morning

31-May-14
We identified the likely area from the road, then I got out to have a look and as I was doing this a few players from the league team ran over to the post and began emptying their bladders. After a chuckle and an explanation of EUWWWWW! I have decided to leave this one. I have logged as a DNF even though I never really got a chance to look properly - but be warned you will want hand sanitiser and a way of washing your hands once this one has been retrieved.

Yes, I had already gotten two smiley's for the day, an event and an earthcache, but in my opinion neither of those really counted. So I still needed to get my physical cache for the day and sign some sort of a logbook in a box.

Choose this cache as close enough, and shot out on an evening mission in the dark. Phew I am gonna end up wearing out that suspension on my car!!!

Made it here though, and that search ended up taking so much longer than I wanted it to!! I was really quite keen to get an early night, but that somehow was being held up. - Till I spotted the cache! Sneaky sneaky one! I had glanced over it once already, but was like nah - in the dark it blended in pretty well! So signed, and raced off home to bed.

Consec caching day # 343

TFTC!! Smile

Boy oh boy the roads are all over the place. I was lucky to have the place to myself. I was even luckier to spot the cache quickly and made a quick sign and was out and back to the truck in no time. Great bit of camo and it was a little sunk just like most of the surroundings. I haven't been this way for 10 plus years. Better get to work now.
Thanks for the cache.

Found at last. Must have been about the 3rd or 4th visit. First time didn't know what I was looking for and the other times was deterred by muggles, especially in th basketball court. Today it was easy no one around. I like the camo! TFTC

04-Sep-13
Quick find during work. It was completely exposed so I hid it a bit better. Tftc.

[blue]Day 31 of our 31 Days of Caching Challenge.[/blue] [purple] We made IT!!![/purple] This was #3 of the 27 we found before the event today.
The cache was quickly spotted by Mums eagle eyes and it had a nice little flattened niche but that didnt stop Mum from trying to put it away in the wrong place before I called her on it. I comend anyone that had to go through the earthquakes. I definately know I wouldnt have handled it with any grace at all. Thanks for the cache Smile

21-Aug-13
A great little camo job here. TFTC

11-Jul-13
Didn't have any problems finding this one.

After a visit to the optometrist stinging eyes from a dye test lead me home for a lie down with eyes closed rather than out geocaching to maintain my streak. Realising that it was going to be a late trip out to the far side of town to get my cache to maintain my 306 day streak, came up with a cunning plan... leave at 11pm get a cache for yesterday and go for today's cache just after midnight and have an area where there are a couple of spares just in case. MacPacDad came out to join me on this quest.
Found the first cache at 11.38pm and headed off to the next.... we started searching a bit before midnight but no luck after 20 mins of searching decided we needed to head to the "spare".
This camo was very effective but managed to find and sign... day 307 done yah 12.17am! Now home.
Umm this was another story closed roads kept heading us away from where we wanted to go and around in square squirkles - lost in the Red Zone. 20mins later we managed to break free - heading totally in the wrong direction we took the loooooooong way home via the Ring Road finally getting home just before 1am - whose bright idea was this? Oh yes mine! Well at least I can have a nana nap this afternoon after work rather than going out cache hunting. Alarm went off WAY too soon this morning.
Our house out NW might be a demolish and we've been out of it for two years but it needs a trip to the East every now and again to remind you of the harsh realities from the quakes. TFTC.

28-Jun-13
It took a while but I got there eventually. A branch or two in the eye nearly had me calling it quits on this but one last look just there before I quit and Woohoo. Nice Cache. Thanks

08-May-13
Was in the area to do some work on the stopbanks and called in to do this one on my way past. I bet this place is busy on a weekend! Thanks for the hide.

5081. Had just finished taking a school group for a geocaching lesson and was driving past on the way home. Having had no success here on previous visits, didn't have high hopes but decided to stop anyway. Nobody had found it for a month either so heart was a little sunk! Found it in seconds!!!! Big Grin It definitely was not in that place, or that visible, on previous visits. Loved the camo container. Smile Thanks, Rodney and Iris.

Yes what a very depressing area. Visiting my old home town fron the waikato

16-Feb-13
easy find tftc Big Grin

02-Feb-13
Strikes just the right balance of camoflage. You know its going to look like something that belongs there but just a bit off. There were muggles on the field but I felt quite hidden approaching from the back.

28-Jan-13
Third time lucky, took our granddaughter to the park to fly her kite and thought we'd have another look, and whaddaya know, found it!
Thanks for the challenge, glad to have it under our belts.

746 - I was out this afternoon with KiwiCampNut for a spot of caching and this was on our list today. It was a lovely afternoon for a stroll and GZ was soon identified. Cache took a little while to locate. Just as I thought I saw something interesting my phone rang and so by the time I got off it KCN had the goods in hand. Nice wee spot and good camo. TFTC

23-Jan-13
Took some time for both JustMeG and I to find this one. JMG had it sighted after I had already thought to self that looked odd but carried on and looked elsewhere. Her phone rang so I went and had another look and grabbed the little sucker, signed the log and we were off again to the next one just down the road.

22-Jan-13
Nice cache. Found while out for a walk this evening.

21-Jan-13
This was my 2nd attempt with this cache again without any luck, but I haven't given up yet!
Sounds like others have had a similar experience. I will not be defeated tho. Watch this space hehe!!

17-Jan-13
Two muggles played basketball nearby, but the park was quiet on this rainy night. TFTC

13-Jan-13
First found a pak n save bag with a fresh whole dead fish in it. Right by the lamp post. Then we found the actual case. Smile don't know what the deal with the fish was though...

12-Jan-13
Almost gave up but thought i'd have one last look and found it. First cache Smile

12-Jan-13
Logging this DNF as a representative of the seven or eight wasted visits! Have never found either container in spite of searching high and low every time! Sad any useful hints or advice anyone??? Rodney and Iris.

Reperio at 1930.

After a great week was had touring around the South Island with Roostaman...including attending the mega event in Dunedin...we spent today finding some caches in and around this beautiful city of Christchurch. With this being our last full day of caching...we stayed out until it became dark...and fortunately as light was fading...the cache was quickly located.

Gratias Vorn73.

Find # 4878 and a total of 65 today with Marcus Vitruvius, on our NZ Mega trip.
Another day of Mega caching around the Christchurch suburbs and city.
Another nice cache and hide and we saw where the ute went, then on the way again.
TFTC Vorn73,
Roostaman.

17-Oct-12
Found as part of the Gangsters- The Rats, Farmer Frentzen and Big Matt and Shell- as part of our NZ Mega Event Tour 2012.

Another nice straightfoward one on our tour of the 'burbs. TFTC!

17-Oct-12
Our 6077th overall find.

Found on the "Gangsters" NZ Mega 2012 trip with steeba, The Rats and FarmerFrentzen. I thought this one was a bit of a different hide but I happened to luck upon it being on the right side of the bush.

Thanks Vorn73 for the cache.

17-Oct-12
Found during 'The Gangsters' trip to New Zealand, being Big Matt, The Rats, steeba and myself.

A reasonably straightforward find.

Thanks Vorn73 for the cache.

17-Oct-12
Found this cache as part of the Gangster's Aussie assault on the first NZ Mega with Big Matt, FarmerFrenzten and steeba.

We found this cache by luck, we zeroed in on GZ but it was a resting hand that found the cache.
Thanks

15-Oct-12
DNF'd this previously, found both containers easily this time. Cheers Gav

15-Oct-12
We too found both cache containers - this is my log for the second container. Perhaps the owner should remove one of them Wink Cheers Gav

15-Oct-12
We found two separate cache containers here - one in the tree and one under it.

15-Oct-12
Logging the second of the two cache containers.

14-Oct-12
Nice easy find but had to hurry as a mob of muggles were heading my way, TFTH

11-Oct-12
Road works detoured me from where I was aiming for as I headed home from placing a cache, and it was easier to lookup another than try to get in another way.
I found my way here, over several patches that may have been where you "sunk". Took the time at GZ to just look and soon saw. Would or be the old or the new? It was the new. Signed and replaced, leaving the mini stub of a pencil I'd found in the car for anyone else who needs it. (must restock pen supply in car). Wonder if this area will eventually be part of the "mega school" planned for this neighbourhood - if the is no U turn on policies and decisions again ...
Thanks for bringing me to a part of town I don't very often visit.

TFTC. A lovely calm and warm evening for a wander and cache. I have just read the recent logs and signed after TikvaNZ, so assume that I have also found the original cache. The name was most fitting. Thanks for the fun.

Like Team_Gaters I found the old cache - very nearly missed it it is so well camouflaged. While signing the log I spotted the new cache, but didn't sign that one. TFTC.

28-Sep-12
A quick find with the grandson, it's can we do some more all day, thanks [^]

27-Sep-12
Quick find in a very damaged area Thanks for the cache LGM

26-Sep-12
When will I ever learn?! Came back out for another look...in the cold dark chilly evening (all the better for a muggless search). This time I came up trumps (in a spot I had previously checked, both this evening & on other occations)...but guess what; I found the 'old' cache, the last entries were Muss Burgers & half_blood_prince.....weird, but I'll take it. If you are searching & having trouble locating it - persistence is the key (and checking spots thoroughly!)...and perhaps now would be your best chance at finding it --- there are 'two' caches in action; the old and the replacement! Smile

18-Sep-12
Came out for this one a couple weeks ago and couldn't find it with Chocochunk even though he'd found it when it first was published. But this evening we scored. To me, I was struck more by how the air smelled like fried food more than by EQ damage.

15-Sep-12
Out and about on a cold dark wet evening. Saw this had been replaced and found recently so gave it another bash. I think I know what I'm looking for - but blowed if I can find it. Hunted for a while with no luck - gave up once drunken muggles started lurching their ways home after the rugby. Will have to give this another go in daylight me thinks.....
