TftcInstead of driving pass this one like I have on many occasions I finally stopped. A quick find. There's no lid on container which probably really isnt that suitable for a cache (being glass). But the log book is dry
Tftc. This marks our 800th geocache find. Container is missing its lid and logbook was soaked. New logbook added though it likely won't last too long. Found easily with red_ear_slider
800th!!! Found with Portstevo, we both got our 800th today!! This poor cache needs some TLC from the CO, replaced log as it was falling apart and not signed since 2022. Tftc
Found in 2018 with my sister, No_TomorrowI was looking at finding some more while staying at our parents and discovered I forgot to log this find. Although, to be honest, I may have turned back before signing because of mozzies.TFTC!
No luck for this one for us today. Couldn't make sense of the hint, plus the mozzies were visious.
Found with the help of my besties Braiden and Gray (thanks guys!). A difficult find, but that might have been because we overthought the clue
Looked for this cache not long after I began geocaching and it was too tricky for me! Came back today and made a quick find. Why didn’t I look there last time?! Lol. Still pretty swampy in there but I came prepared. TFTC
Dayboro trip. Day 4. Another bright sunny day around Port Macquarie. I headed a bit south to Laurieton for an AL. This region was also affected by flooding, so some caches were not accessible. The final lab in the AL set was in a closed park. Then it was back to Port Macquarie for lunch and the caches around the service center. To finish the day a I did a themed series of caches just North on Blackman's Point road. Lots of fun.
The whole area was pretty swampy, but I made it to GZ without getting too wet and soon found the cache.
Thanks.

Turned back as we have had a LOT of rain and I wasn't wearing gumboots. Next time.
Found with the help of Mrs BillHill, doing some caching on the way to Port Macquarie where we will be staying for 3 nights. Trick find did understand the hint. The lid is rusted through and not water proof, hence a ferry wet log, the container need replacing.
Log signed and caches replaced as found.
**Thanks For The Cache** Tall Tom.
This is the 4th cache of 9 for today.

We decided to take the coastal road to Port Macquarie this time. On every other visit I have come in from the Pacific Motorway. It's always good to see something different and take the road less-travelled.
I don't remember too much about this cache, except that my little son had been bursting for a pee and we would have had to stop anyway. Not to worry, he went in the bushes much further off.
It was a quick find, and thankfully the ground wasn't all that muddy, so we were able to negotiate our way from and back to the car. After that we planned to head on up the hill to enjoy the views over the coast.

We were on our way to a little camping event we were holding at Diamond Head, after grabbing a good handful at Herons Creek, we cruised into Laurieton, and decided to stop for this one - I don't know why we haven't done it before - but we did struggle, and could quite easily have DNFd it. The container is basically lidless now, but does seem dry. A new container is needed..... TFTC Tall Tom

A quick find by Mrs Shifter after a short detour on our afternoon drive.
Thanks for the hide Tall Tom.
Thanks for the hide Tall Tom.
Was too hot to stay at camp today so Roam4Eva and I decided to visit the olds and their pool. I convinced her to stop for a couple of geocaches on the way there, but we'll probably do some more when it cools down later on or way home. Haha

While travelling home from our trip to Qld, we stopped and logged this cache. Thanks for hiding the cache.
Found in the company of Key_Tat and Viper_101.... well after a couple of visits here we eventually gave in and PAF... cache in hand, log signed....TFTC.
Found in the company of Tatt2squared and Viper_101... Did not take us very long to locate this... TFTC
Found in the company of Tatt2squared and Key_Tat... after a PAF, nice quick find this time. TFTC
I think we made this heaps harder than it needed to be but we got there in the end. Tftc.
much better luck this time than last time we tried although we still managed to not see it about 12 times. Making a last run to collect caches to get the turtle..Cached with Bobbiesgirl and logs may have been signed BO for the two teams . 3497 so far for us. Thanks for placing this cache Tall Tom, without cachers like you we wouldn't have a hobby. Signed log. took nothing, left nothing.
On our tour to find geocaches today, this is one of them. Several specimens were options, but there were several of us so that was no problem. Therefore, it was a quick find today and we gladly signed the log. Thanks Tall Tom for placing it where we could reach, lol.
Cheers and happy caching!

Collecting a few caches around Laurieton before starting on the MNCW series. Quick find. Signed as TeamBADJ.
Grrrrr!!!!
I WAS NEAR THERE...just last week!!! This is a case of wise in hindsight! I am now home which is 450km (in a straight line) away from here and now realize this cache would have been mighty handy in a challenge I'm trying to complete. The reason I didn't pick up everything I passed while I was down there..... because of another challenge!!!!
I think these challenges are messing with my head!

First cache of the day, doing some caching in laurieton and west haven. Saw a difficulty of 3 and was expecting a mild challenge. Had a look in the obvious places and it showed up. Thanks for the cache
Tried to find this one a few time when our son lived in this street but was always hindered by the undergrowth of the bush, mozzies and mud. It was nice to pull up to a cleared track
Another beautiful day to be out and about looking for (and finding!) caches in the Port Macquarie region. A lovely area to explore, and for August we've had some phenomenal weather. Really enjoying everything about the place.
This is number 20 for the morning. Hanging out for a cuppa and something to eat. We just can't bear to drive past any unfound caches. Let's hope the next cache is in a picnic spot!
A straightforward find down a pretty bush spot.

What a glorious day for some Caching. A quick find was had at GZ, many thanks for bringing us here. TNLN SL TFTC
Making a last minute decision to exit the highway for Laurieton to enjoy the scenic drive we headed towards this cache. Knowing 2y'stassies had been successful after 2 DNF's encouraged us to give it a shot. Checking out all the obvious spots soon turned up the cache. We signed the newly replaced dry log and continued our way into town. Thanks Tall Tom for the hide.
After reading the last 2 logs we almost drove past this one but we noticed that the fire break had recently been slashed and thought we should use the opportunity to get to gz when we could clearly see where we were going..
The ground was slightly wet and muddy after recent rain. Accurate coordinates lead us to an area fitted to the d/t rating and after a short poke around we had the container in hand.
The log was damp and tattered so we left a small replacement log before replacing the cache where found.
Thanks for the cache Tall Tom.

First full day of my short trip to Port Macquarie. This is my opportunity to grab a stash of caches all day while the Geowife does her crafty things.
Found 25 including the first eight of the Mid North Coast Wander (was only willing to push the non-4WD mugglemobile so far) and a selection of other caches in around Port.
Actually beat her back to the motel by 10 minutes - and she had the key! Then out for dinner at Flynn's Beach.
A good day.
###END OF CUT AND PASTE SECTION###
First DNF of the day.
After a soggy look around I went for the hint. That suggests... nope.
Given this hasn't been found in 9 months I decided to bail. A cache check would be a good idea here.
At least there were no leeches today - I suspect all the mozzies have sucked then dry!

Lostya -Thought we gave this a good going over but could not locate it. However we did find a leach each.
Decided on a day's caching in Laurieton with a souvenir up for grabs and not having found many here. The cache was soon in hand but as with previous finders the log is quite damp and needs some attention.
Found by Pat & Cheryl at 10:44 am. Thanks for bringing us to this great location and helping us to increase our tally. Really enjoyed this cache Tall Tom and this is # 1082 so far for us. Log is wet and needs maintenance.
Spent several days in the region as part of attending an awesome geocaching camping event with cachers from all around the region. Cheers to the Browngang for their amazing work! We had 3.5 days, 63 caches, met a bunch of new friends, had way too many drinks, and encountered a dozen leeches, a brown snake, and a heap of less squirmy wildlife, and even saw a future EarthCache being created. Not to mention the DNF due to police removing the cache! What an amazing weekend.
This was a quick find but I will freely admit I was on high alert for legless cache guardians the entire time. Man that grass is deep in sections. TNLN TFTC

First one for the day of caching around Laurieton. Approaching GZ, I looked at all the obvious places, even though they were 20m from GZ. After awhile, found GZ and the cache was there!
In North Haven, catching up with family. We will take any opportunity to grab a cache. Up early to grab some caches before too many muggles area bout. This was very boggy from the recent rain so made way through long wet grass to find GZ and SL then return wet back to the car. Luckily it will be a hot day, so will dry out.
Thanks Tall Tom for placing & maintaining the cache for us to find.

20/1/16. 8:14 AM. Cache #3427. Streak day #577.
9th of 12 finds today - Grants Beach, North Haven, Laurieton, Lakewood, Kew, Kendall & Heron Creek.
Came here after finding "And On The Seventh Day..." in Lakewood as I make my way west. The hint didn't provide too much other than an altitude I thought, but the coords were good enough for a nice quick find. Now on to Kew's other cache, "Bird's Nest". TFTC.

This was my first Cache! Good find, pretty easy to find. Thanks for the cache Tall Tom!
Final find for the day. Been here a few times before but with no luck. Cache was well hidden, which was good. TFTC!!! #669
Did not find this one today. After attending 2 events and knocking over 8 other caches it was starting to sprinkle and my phone and GPS couldn't agree. If one said I was at GZ the other said I was 6 metres away. It was getting frustrating. Then I found what I hope was a fake burial marker ( see photo ) and thought that'll do me for the day. If I leave know I can pick up geokids and still get home in time to watch last few laps of Bathurst. I will return.
[Blue]# 12889[/Blue] Found on the way back from our 2015 Winter escape to Qld.
Another perfect winter day for a drive around Kendall while visiting a friend.
Log is damp and also full. Needs maintenance.
Cheers from down south in Wagga Wagga.

Out with the Geo wife for a loooong drive this weekend. This one was on the list for finding. Very wet log, tried to scratch name on, not very successful today in the rain to top it off. Tftc
Swellerfungus, Crookedpete and I hit the road to cache our way from Brisbane to Gloucester NSW and back, picking up some specific caches along the way. After driving until 2am this morning, only a few hours sleep and a big day of caching adventures our stamina was fading fast and we were desperate to find somewhere to set up camp for the night. We contemplated this area momentarily but the grass was too long so we quickly located the cache and moved on to try our luck elsewhere. TFTC
Found this cache very late at night after a completely crazy day caching on a weekend road trip with SeffnJarah and Swellerfungus - 13 caches for the day including 3 T5's and a few serious T4's to boot.
This cache was needed to help complete a local challenge cache in SE Qld. I've had 8 hours sleep in the last 2 days and I am now begging my mates to stop so we can sleep. Just need to find somewhere suitable to roll out a swag. The area here was considered, but the grass was too long and it was a little close to some houses. Seff made the find. On we go!
Thanks for the cache, Tall Tom

Out and about with CrookedPete and seffnjarrah as we head south for a caching weekend of high difficulty and terrain ratings, as well as a run to Taree to grab the 1.9/1.9 D/T rating challenge. We also need some caches for another challenge that requires a cache hidden every 10klms from home. Both CP and I needed a lot to complete the challenge, and this one fitted the bill nicely.
Our brains are all starting to get a little fuzzy from so much driving, little sleep, early morning, ablate nights, personal challenges and long walks. WE are getting close to exhausted, and need somewhere to sleep...can we sleep here?
The grass at GZ was long, so I expected a difficult find. We got lucky and SNJ found it quickly enough.
We move on...but this was our last for tonight.
Thanks Tall Tom

Teamdfl and I are heading south to the Port Macquarie region for a 4 day week-end of caching.
Today was day 3 for caching. We are continuing our way south to find a cache in every 10km band from our home co-ords.
Then found a few challenge caches and puzzle caches around Taree and are now heading back to Port Macquarie after a grand day out. [^]
A couple of quick finds on our way north.
A quick find here.
Thanks for the cache.

This was day three of our expedition south. Several challenge caches were on our hit list for the weekend. We had been as far south as we needed for the well traveled challenge and we were winding our way back north to Port Macquarie.
This one was not too far of our chosen route home. A nice short walk to GZ for a nice quick find thanks

Thought I would pick this one up on my from Kew to Big Brother. Quickly found the cache, signed the log and returned everything to where it should be
