We walked across the boggy meadow and made a quick find at the obvious host. Then we went back into the gardens and up towards the aviaries. The rhododendrons are looking great at the moment. TFTC!

Found on our my wander around the gardens with Gazania Rigens and Zouavesauvage. Every time I see rhododendrons these days, I cant help but want to cut them down thanks to Hedgepiglets Rhododendron Bashing CITOs in London. Beautiful as they are, they are an invasive species in England. Thanks!

We are in Dunedin for the Mega this weekend and today was our day to collect caches in the city. We are caching with UncleSam, Keylev, NZ Travellers, and Stik-a-crane, so have signed the logs with SEAC (South and East Auckland Crew).A nice quick find here

Day 2 of the trip for the mega.After exploring the botanical gardens (yes in the rain!) we started to drive to more caches rather than walk to try and attempt to keep a little dry. After arriving in Dunedin yesterday to a sunny day, today was in stark contrast, with wind and rain....This did not dampen our spirits, as we travelled around town today collecting mainly adventure labs with KeyLev, NZTravellers, UncleSamNZ, HeMaLuDy and myself. Any of the caches needing to be signed in were done so using SEAC to save logbook space unless when instructed, when we signed individually.Thanks to all the CO's for setting and maintaining caches.TFTC.

A group of 38 geocachers from Germany, Denmark, Luxembourg and Switzerland - Team Downunder24 - are traveling for 22 days from Frankfurt/Main via Doha to Australia and New Zealand. I was able to discover many wonderful things and irretrievable experiences are burned into my memory. Today we had until the afternoon to visit a few important caches in Dunedin and continue to look at the beautiful city. We were mainly out and about in the beautiful botanical garden, but despite strong winds and a few rain showers, there was still time for one or two caches. Found this cache on a 24-day trip to Australia and New Zealand with a night of stopover in Qatar.In Qatar we have an evening and almost a full day of geocaching before we take the long flight to Downunder.In Australia we will visit the citys of Sydney, Melbourne, Aidelaide and Cairns. Our stays in New Zealand will be in Aukland, Rotorua, Wellington, Blenheim, Christchurch, Dunedin and Queenstown.For me the focus will be on old caches, placed in 2000 and obviously on the remaining webcams in Australia and New Zealand.We are a group of 38 Geocachers from Germany, Denmark and Luxembourg. Eine aufregende Zeit.Beim Geocaching lag der Focus auf viele unterschiedliche Cachetypen, aber auch besondere Wertungen, Challenges und besonders ein paar sehr alte Caches aus den Jahren 2000 und 2001. Aber auch natrlich ganz besonders die Geocaches, die zu Fu vom Hotel aus gut erreichbar waren.Natrlich wurde stand aber nicht nur das Geocaching im Mittelpunkt, sondern auch die Sehenswrdigkeiten der einzelnen Stationen, die wir besuchten, verdienten ihre Aufmerksamkeit.In die Logbcher trugen wir uns mit unserem Teamnamen "Downunder 2024" ein, Logbuchplatz sparend und effizient.Es war eine ganz besondere Reise im groen Team, das auch sehr viel Spa gemacht hat.Heute ging es mit dem Bus von Christchurch ber Oamaru und Moeraki weiter nach Dunedin.Danke fr diesen Geocache. Together with 36 other geocachers, the KiSt team undertook a very long trip to Australia ???? and New Zealand ???? for three weeks. On both the outward and return journeys, there was a stopover in Doha, the capital of Qatar ????.We experienced a great deal on this trip and gained many very different impressions of the two countries, their nature and their culture. Of course, the main focus was on visiting as many caches of as many different types as possible and also all accessible old cans. However, we also made sure to visit many special places of interest and to gain as comprehensive an impression as possible of nature and its flora and fauna.To save the logbooks, we usually signed in with our team name **Downunder24**. Darber haben wir es aber nicht versumt, vielen besonderen Sehenswrdigkeiten einen Besuch abzustatten und uns von der Natur und deren Flora und Fauna einen mglichst umfassenden Eindruck zu verschaffen.Um die Logbcher zu schonen, haben wir uns dort meist mit unserem Teamnamen **Downunder24** eingetragen. Bei "besonderen" Dosen haben wir es uns aber auch nicht nehmen lassen, zustzlich unseren Nicknamen zu hinterlassen.Auch dieser schne Cache zhlt jetzt zu unseren Funden.Aufgrund der groen Anzahl der besuchten Caches ist es uns leider nicht mglich, zu jeder Dose einen individuellen Log zu verfassen, weshalb wir uns bei den Ownern fr diesen Sammellog entschuldigen wollen.Auf einigen Events haben wir auch andere Cacher kennengelernt und konnten unsere Erfahrungen austauschen. The big mission of today day was to break my record of most finds in 1 day. I started in the morning from Larnach Castle, after spending the night there. Unfortunately, the weather was really bad for part of the day but I persisted nonetheless, going on a geocaching hunt through the wind and rain, on my bike! After going down Highcliff Road into the city, I spent a lot of time in the city centre, ticking off all adventure labs there. Then through the botanical gardens and onto the steepest street in the world, which I managed to ride all the way up in 3 'stints' . To finish off I grabbed some more tradies at the waterfront and just before midnight I called it a night. I'm not sure if I broke the record yet, since I'm only logging all finds at the moment .Btw, sorry to all CO's, I did not manage to actually sign all logs, since my fingers were sometimes so cold, I had no strength to open some tight containers. Rest assured, I actually found all containers and enjoyed the full day hunt a lot! Also sorry for this generic log for all caches, making it a little bit easier for myself, since I found so many. All finds were relatively easy, mostly because of the hints, thanks for that. All DNF's were either taking too much time so I had to move on, or were very probably missing.Many thanks to all CO's for placing and maintaining! FP's rewarded for the ones I especially enjoyed!

Today StreetWalkerNZ and I are travelling home to Christchurch after an enjoyable week caching in and around first Dunedin and then Invercargill. It's a long way to travel so we have to limit caching along the way.I'm sure I've found a cache here before, many years ago. Anyway, SW had found it on a solo trip in Nov, and as we were passing by, we stopped so I could find it. TFTC.

I'm visiting New Zealand for a tour around the country . I have already visited many places on the North Island and on the South Island. Now I'm staying in Dunedin for some days.
