Excellent Cache, lots of treasure for the kids. Container lid has broken and it was a little damp. Have placed it on its side. Lovely view! TFTC
Out for a bike ride around the area. Huffed and puffed my way up the hills and was glad of a break here. The cache was a quick find. TFTC.
#12,442. Just been doing the geoart puzzles and diverted up here to collect the old 2003 cache. But couldn't find that one. This one however was quickly spotted. All good. Signed the log and left as found. Thanks Danni Anahera85 for hiding it here.
Stopped into my parents place to collect some gear, and thought I'd continue out Loburn ways and see what I could pick up.
All good, almost stumbled on it!
TFTC Danni_Anahera85, the cache was found in good order Signed, sealed and returned to GZ. 5 find(s) of 8 today, making this find #3303

One of 20 caches located today, mostly in the Loburn vicinity and north of there. Enjoyed coming up to this spot. I was trying to figure out where the cache could possibly be (looking ‘up’ as the hint suggested) when I unintentionally landed up standing on it! #4472. TFTC.
Thanks for the lockdown geocache outing on our doorstep. Kids were delighted with the find.
Wow it is a fantastic spot! Loved the drive, loved the views, loved the cache. Shame I'm alone today, I'll share it with the family on the next trip.
Thanks very much!
Thanks very much!
After spending the morning to move hay balls at a friends house, we came and stopped here. Little cacher was a bit disappointed by the container, but once he opened it.... wow.. the logbook was in good conditions and there so many things to choose from... Very difficult time for him. Thanks for hiding this here, the view is great too.
Down in Christchurch with the Squirrel, ABCDF4 and eyespyben. During Covid lockdown, we solved a load of puzzles and decided that this would be a good time to visit. We've enjoyed a few days of good weather and seeing the Canterbury countryside. The caches have been in varying states - some good, some not so much. Our time here has been a blast, and we'd like to thank all COs who have made this adventure possible. Thank you and TFTC.
With ABCDF4, eyespyben, and Gap (of Fap and Gap). Logging all finds as Team HRP (Huntly, Rotorua, Papamoa - Our hometowns)... During Covid-19 lockdown, we solved a truck load of puzzles around Christchurch - Canterbury region. No use thrashing the old grey matter for no cause - We decided we should make good on this handiwork...
There are lots of interesting trails and geoart surrounding Christchurch. What you aren’t told is how far flung some of these caches actually are. Some beforehand advice would have been great, so here are some of my notes... You’re welcome!
1. Mobile coverage is patchy, especially in those quiet, rural areas where it was most needed. Saving caches to offline might show that you are prepared and organised...
2. There are many dusty metal roads on the trails. The car will get messy, and your hair will feel like cardboard at the end of the day...
3. Suitable clothing and footwear are essential. You will climb in and out of hedges, gorse, and other rough stuff. You might get scratched, cut to shreds, and bleed a lot. It’s not advised to wear your brand new jacket on the day...
4. Take lots of food and drink. You’ll probably be head down, tail up and not realise you haven’t eaten until late afternoon. There are very few shops or gas stations out there...
5. Make sure that you secure keys and wallet and know where these are placed for easy retrieval. A full box of pens might be useful too, especially if you’re inclined to free some into the wild...
6. Know the difference between left and right, and north, south, east, and west. Turning right and heading north will not get you to South Christchurch quickly.
7. Look with girl’s eyes rather than boys eyes... Some caches haven’t been found in a while and you might have to get down on your knees to pray.
8. Always be prepared for misleading hints. This is what turns simple caches into D5/T5 hides... “Head height” could mean the cache is positioned at your toes.
9. Have a sense of humour and like the people you go caching with. It’s going to be a very long day, and you might want to hurt someone during the journey...
10. Make sure you can operate your phone/device and it doesn’t crash when you most need it...
11. Learn to cut and paste logs because you’re going to repeat this function so often when logging all of your finds.
12. Above all else, have fun and be kind...
If recent days have been anything to go by, then today's activity is going to seem crazy. We have such a big game to play, spread out over a very large area - An early morning start in the north, with a late finish on the trails to the south... Let's go! We thought we might have this quiet country lane to ourselves, but a vehicle took off ahead of us and parked up not far from ground zone. We were just out of sight to make this find... Thanks Danni_Anahera85 and TFTC.

After puzzle solving in the Canterbury region along with EyeSpyBen we were invited to join Fap (from Fap & Gap) and Squirrel Nutcase to a week long caching adventure in the Canterbury area. With flights and accommodation booked were off, all met up in ChCh. and many hard dusty Kms travelled and many caches found, I think the Squirrel has said it all in his brief. Many thanks for the placements and Cos for bringin us to the very pleasant areas we travelled in to your region

I would say this tree has grown considerably since the cache was placed. Quick find and great to add another regular to the tally. TFTC # 15,295
A veritable plethora of SWAG, awesome. However, we just admired it, signed the log and were on our way. TFTC .
Went out of my way this miserably wet day to find the old nearby cache and noticed this as leaving.
What a great lot of swag but a shame the cache container is broken.
Fortunately I found an old same-size cache container recently that had been archived four years ago. So I swapped your smashed up cache for that one. Signed log and rebagged with a hole-less bag so all good here now.
With my finds today I hereby have found a geocache each and every day for the last six months. In March I started a three month work contract at Katikati Bay of Plenty, which being a whole new area set me off on my streak of consecutive daily finds. In June we finished that job and spent a week back home in Taranaki before heading to Amberley for the current contract.
In less than a month KrystalKath and I move on to Makarora until May 2020 with little chance of continuing this streak **so at 183 days** I'm calling this streak **Done!**
So TFTC.

What a great sized cache! Lytteltonwich added some more booty to the container. Signed Girl power, 4 of us on a good day caching. TFTC
This really is a treasure chest full of interesting goodies. Signed the log with other cachers and lytteltonwitch added some more treasures for the little ones. Great cache thanks Danni_Anahera85
A narrow road but fun to come up. Good views. Signed as girlpower. (Busy paws, coconuts3, and lytteltonwitch plus me). Thanks for the hide.
Cache was a quick find by Girl Power team of Busy Paws, Coconuts3, Jude_E and lytteltonwitch. Left a few swaps in the cache.
Today I had spare time between work commitments so headed north of the city to see what I could find. A good sized cache here with a good amount of swag. No trackable in it though. TFTC, Biggles.
Taybeedragon, Zara, Toby and I came down this way as we heard the world turtle was hanging out somewhere near the nursery. It was too, we caught a glimpse of it back there, through the trees. So the mission for this weekend is done. But now that we are here, we carried on exploring the entire area between the Kowai and Ashley rivers.
At last! a decent sized cache! Giving it a favourite to try to encourage more biggerer caches. And dropped in a TB that... that needs more biggerer caches!

The Seagnoid, Toby, Zara and I are on a mission to find the elusive Turtle in Christchurch. We leave Zara in Sefton, while The Seagnoid, Toby and I start exploring between the Kowai and Ashley rivers. The elusive Turtle has been located and Gracies nursery visited, so lets see what else is around here.
I enjoyed this treasure chest with some treasure in it. Cheers. Fav from me. Cheers

After grabbing Two Trees we took a walk down the road to grab this cache. Nice size and lots of toys for the kiddies. Tftc.
Found today with injeanious. We were out getting up our numbers trying to find the hidden creatures. Logs signed as jeje to save time and space, Tftc!
After completing the name series it was time to tidy up the trays I. The area . easy find after walking down from the last cache tftc
The 3rd and last day of our Easter raid East and were out collecting some points for the Planetary Pursuit.
This was quickly spotted from the car as we pulled up. Up a little and not a lot? Geez, how tall are you? I could only just reach it on my tippy toes. One of the side clips are broken. We actually have one this size at home that we usually carry in the car but we took all that sort of stuff out to make room. We made it to Neptune but its still a long way to Pluto but this puts us a little bit closer so double Thanks for the cache

Found with BDP82 on a night caching adventure. Left me a big diamond. Thank you for the cache.
Visiting from Brisbane with Slow Puncture for the Oamaru Geofest, and we're seeing all the wonderful sights the South Island has to offer as we travel along. Day 5: An early start as we ventured out of Christchurch in a big loop hunting challenges, solved GeoArt, and older caches. We were stunned by the beautiful views of the Alps across the farmland of Canterbury Plains.
Thanks for the hunt **Danni_Anahera85**, this find makes #4406. Discover our TB

Tuesday. Slow Puncture has teamed up with Orange Crew to make a Moreton Bay assault on the Oamaru Geofest. Day Five saw us take a large loop out from Christchurch, West towards the snow-capped mountains, before returning and doing some urban caching within Christchurch itself.
This was the 55th of 71 caches found on today's trip.
Thanks ***Danni_Anahera85***, for showing us this place.

My original plan involved caching somewhere else for the weekend, but winds interfered, and gave me an opportunity to cache closer to home. So out I went for a few hours of caching, and had great fun. I ended up with small rocks, dirt, and vegetation everywhere on myself and the car Definitely worth the fun! TFTC!!!
This one was not quite where I expected it based on the hint.

After a delicious lunch at the Lemongrass restaurant, we took the opportunity of being north of the Ashley river to find some nearby caches.
I dropped StreetWalker off at GZ then carried on further up the hill to a good parking spot (which gave an excellent view). A quick find for SW. Thanks for bringing me here and TFTC.

Found on a Sunday afternoon drive from a meeting of our tramping club. Another nice find in a great location. TFTC
Crood kids spotted this on approach after we found a suitable parking spot. Tftc
After several days in Chch and surrounds we headed home today but of course made time to find some caches on the way. As well as caching around Ashley and Loburn we returned to the Greta Valley to finish what we didn't have time for on our way south.By the time we reached home last night our count for the day was 53, tired but satisfied with our efforts for the week. The logs were signed HZ+HM, H+H, or on some case with our full names.
Thank you to all CO's whose caches we found this week.
Thank you to all CO's whose caches we found this week.
After caching managed to hold us up for two days we're heading for home. Not without picking up caches on the way and not so on the way though And a detour via Greta Valley to take care of some unfinished business from a few days ago on the way down. The landscape is a lot more pleasant here than both the dry and irrigated land further South. A good variety of caches were found. Nice after doing some series on days previous. Our final tally for this multi day raid was 380+. We took a toy for our grandson. Thank you Danni Anahera85 for placing this cache
A quick easy find, of a treasure chest which will delight the children, although the location is definitely not ideal for children. TFTC

Day 11 of my Kiwi adventure started with some retail therapy, followed by a catch up with some other cachers for a bit of a numbers run. The weather was not too good, so perfect for not spending too much time outside. Caught up for a quick bite in town with Kyzabra, jinta29 and GreenGeckos. We now had a target of 30 odd caches for my new friends to get 100 caches for the day.
Thanks to Danni_Anahera85 for the cache. TNLN

Out for some Mega caching with Kyzabra, Jinta29, Gunnie69 and Ghostgums.Saw some beautiful countryside today and had a blast caching. Thank you %owner for placing and maintaining this cache.
Kyzabra and I headed over for the Christchurch Mega from Perth, WA. Today we were joined by The Green Geckos today and ahomburg, we targeted some of the larger series around this area.
We had a fantastic time caching in the cooler climate and with no fear of snakes or other nasties! Christchurch is my old home town but I did not know about caching when I lived there so it was fun exploring the City with a different objective.
We were glad to grab the smiley on this one and we replaced the container as found. Thanks Danni_Anahera85 for placing this and bringing us to this spot!
This is my find #4431 and find #88 today.

A caching expedition that has been months in the planning. Jinta29 and I headed over from Perth, and today we met up with the GreenGeckos again for a final day assault on NZ caches. ahomburg joined us after lunch in Kaiapoi
We have had a ball over here. Personally my first trip to NZ. The cache owners have been great and Ive enjoyed meeting people aling the way.
i apologise in advance for the generic log.

In town for a “Mega” weekend of caching. I joined up with Yeetrees and gonefishing to form Team YGB. I really enjoyed exploring the country roads of Canterbury. We travelled a fair few Kilometres in the 4 days we were here, and had a great time, with a lot of laughs along the way. Good weather, and good company. It doesn’t get much better than that does it.
Monday. Day Four, Area 4. Today we ventured north up towards Amberley. A change of scene from the long straight roads on the plains that we had experienced in the previous days. We then headed back to Pegasus and Rangiora to round out the day with a bit of urban caching.
Thanks to all the CO’s for all the caches we found.
Cheers and TFTC

Found during the Mega weekend on bit of a tiki-tour around the Canterbury back blocks. Great weather, great caches, great fun! Thanks to all the cache owners for putting out and maintaining caches for us to find. All in all, a fun road trip with Boxhill and Yeetrees, we signed many of the logsheets as YGB to save both time and logsheet spaces.

Find #4010 we picked this one up as we were in the area chasing certain types of caches TFTC
Made a stop for this one while I was visiting a nearby old cache. A little look and the container was soon discovered. It took a minute to find the log book in amongst it all, but soon in hand and signed before heading back to the car.

Awesome! Going to bring little hunter back here after kindergarten to swap something!
TFTC. Nice view from the top and then a wander down to find some more in the new Ashley Forest subdivision
Giving Mrs SB some time off as tomorrow will be busy despite being mothers day, so Team SB minus Mum hit the road "Treasure hunting" some had to be done as solo missions, some as a twosome and a few we could all look for. With picnic loaded up we were away. This was far enough off the road for all of us to go for a mission. Boosted up Number 1 to retrieve and replace. Great stash of toys!
Having an Easter "it's all about the numbers" weekend. Day 4.
This was pretty cool. A big cache full of lots of goodies in the middle of nowhere.
Totally unexpected.

Tonight is Mad Mission Night. We were armed with solved puzzles, bikes, flash new bike lights, phones, GPSrs, liquid sustanance in the form of coke and most importanly a steely resolve. TG grabbed me in the early evening and the plan was to try out our lights on a MTB track somewhere. We also were wanting to mop up a FF trail and the new block series. We ended up getting a few notifications on the trail and ended up travelling well over 200kms tonight scoring 3 FTFs, trying out our lights and having a blast all around the country side. Great night getting a couple of letterboxes, FTFs, multis and even an archived cache.
We took the back roads from Carrs Road and stopped by this one. TG and I previously DNFed this one. But it was right there. Great job on the swaps. It truely is the Ultimate Big Kids Treasure Chest. Lovely views to Chch and the city lights.
Cache 12 of 29 found tonight.
Thanks for the cache.

A nice big container. Not many swaps but it has the potential. I am about numbers and not swaps so it didn't matter to me.
Great size container, sad there are no swaps in there as they must have just been taken....SAD. Chees for the cache.
In the area at night....and after the recent finds and confirmation from Hide & SEAKH I was keen to tick this one off. Approached from the top & parked up on a pull off just over the creast (what great views!) - headlights illuminating GZ. Now; that's a cache! Weird we didn't find it there on our last visit & it wasn't on the ground.....not sure where it was! Glad it's back though. Nice. Definately cool to find at night with teh great views of the 'city' lights. Cheers.
TFTC - found on ground in plain sight near location. I've placed back in position based on hint. "Look up a little"
