Well if the playground is gone no point in keeping the cache listing open as all surrounding area is under the airport and caches can't be placed. Thanks to all that found it.
Big sad! Walked all this was for the playground to have been dismantled and no cache in site!!
Heading home today so up early to watch the sunrise prior to commuting to the airport TFTH
Quick easy find post plane spotting at Shep’s Mound. Does need to be more weather proof. TFTC!
TFTC very easy find but it is open to the weather and damp needs TLC very sad little park but it gave me a good walk
Find # 8264

Cover is broken, I found part of it on the ground nearby - tried to secure it as best I could. Logbook was dry though. Last cache of a memorable trip to Sydney, sad to be leaving. Tftc!
A quick stop and sign. There is a playground here. How strange is that.

No trouble locating the cache as it is in plain sight with no cover. I added my name to the paper and spotted the cover on the ground, so I added it to the top, but it is not secure or weather tight by any means.
When the CO gets a chance, it could use some tlc.
Cheers Morley196.

An airport pickup at 1pm, so I am taking the opportunity to find a few caches in an area I rarely visit. This was a great find. There is no cover on the logsheet, so I will wonder if it will not get too soggy after a bit of rain.

there's a playground in the middle of nowhere. the cache can be assessed from outside the playground. it needs a lid because there is a wet logbook

Quick easy find after a helicopter ride lid/top is missing so log is wet, tftc signed The Neil Clan
Soaked signed The Neil clan .bright daughter’s out for a helicopter day, awesome ty
A great way to kill a bit of time while waiting for the international flight. I had to go from domestic, so caught the Blue Emu and did a little walking. Quick find, but the log is a bit exposed (no lid). Thanks for sharing the fun.
Two of my kids have been to Yamba for a week of school holiday fun. As they were coming back into Sydney today, I took the opportunity to have the day off and enjoy a bit of caching with fitzy_1965 before their flight got in.
We targeted a few virtuals and traditionals along the way.
All caches found quickly and easily unless otherwise mentioned.

28,319. Found with minniek during a short visit to Sydney this afternoon.
We had to pick some people up from Sydney airport this afternoon, so we took the opportunity to grab some caches in an area we haven't cached around before. For a Tuesday afternoon it was very busy around the whole area. School Holidays I guess, plus the usual traffic around a busy port. This cache was a nice quick find once we were at GZ. Stamped the log, replaced the cache as found, then headed back to the car and the next cache.
Thanks Morley196 !! Thanks for bringing us to this location.

Found it! This is mah first Geocache. A friend of mine showed me this for the first time.
It looks like it needs some further weather protection as the pod is exposed.
Can’t wait to find more

Quick find, just got of the plane! The log book was absolutely drenched but I still managed to write on it. I think the lid came off or something.
Never seen one on that side of the thing before! Waterproof paper holding up well
Combining geocaching with planespotting at Shep's Mound down the road, this is a really nice little spot, if it a little neglected and overgrown. The playground is all locked up but you don't need to go in there... as I thought initially. The cache was very wet and would benefit from better protection. TFTC
I often drive past this area and wonder what the Airport Lookout and Shep's Mound are, and I also wonder how to actually get to this cache.
Some google satellite investigation and I could see a short detour and I'd be able to check out both, so this morning I turned off the main drag and started my 'tour'.
First stop was Shep's Mound which showed a much quieter airport than I was expecting today then I drove down to the cache, also very quiet with no one around.
The co-oordinates were spot on and the cache was a quick find, especially being as the lid was gone. I signed the sheet then checked in the long grass where I found the lid. People need to be more careful with these containers!
(Could do with some glue.)

Fantastic thank you, never even knew about the playground. Hunted for it while waiting for my wife to take off the NZ
Did not find it. The park is now locked up and over grown! Sad really and hopefully only temporary as was thinking it's handy to know for the future to bring the kids too
Over in Sydney for work and being out and about at various locations, I did a quick check of my map to see what’s nearby.
The cache was found after a brief hunt, signed and replaced as found.
Many thanks to Morley196 for placing and maintaining Waiting Games. We were here at 2:29 pm on Thursday and this is my find 9258.

Got to the airport way early to pick up my daughter and decided to wait up in the area away from the usual waiting areas. Opened up my app to see what’s around. Oh, just up the road! Parked up and I was amazed at the beautiful huge Moreton Bay Fig trees all around. Then towards the GZ, and how bizarre is this playground? Looks very unloved and strange to have the growth around the fenced off area. Have to say that it was an Insta find for me today, a familiar hide with a design twist! Nice hide! FP for the effort!

Arrived at night 23:30 and the gate was locked, but even if it was open there were tons of spiders, quite big size too. I could cound from far more than 10! So ill leave it for another time
Great cache! Been passing here for years and took the time to find with new geo buddy
Came out geocaching with 6 yr old, first find of the day... large scary looking pink jelly fish was bobbing very close near by.. tide must have been super high today too.. TFTC.
Change cache to better designed one. the place has been run down since the rental place has taken over.
Super impressive custom-made cache - thought it might be off limits with the playground closed at present but it's still accessible. And plenty of bush turkeys and rabbits around to say hi to as well! TFTC
TFTC...... visiting your great country and doing some caches before we go home early because of covid-19. Visiting from Saskatchewan Canada
Quick find without the hint.... and the hint really gives it away! Nice hide- looks home made..... 3D printer? TFTC
Quick stop off after dropping some friends late in the evening. It took a while but was soon in hand. TFTC
Had a long time to wait in Sydney before next flight so thought I'd attempt this cache with a very apt name.
This cache took a little while but I ended up successful.
So smoky!

Nicely constructed cache in a little-known area. I was put off at first by the locked gate but the cache was still accessible. Cool stuff! TFTC.
Cute find. First one I have found like it. Worth the 3km walk before my conference starts to log this little beauty. TFTC
I was staying near the airport for my last night in Oz, and wanted a last cache too. A mess of fences, roads without pedestrians access, and road works, with the level headed cache blocked off completely. I took a long walk to this one (complication of inner and outer roads and a fence between them). I’ve found caches as a pedestrian at multiple airports, but this has been one of the worst. But thanks to the CO for a happy experience once I got on the right road. TftC.
