Went in blind on this as I didn't have the description saved. Eventually found the cache. Thanks
While in Rotorua for several days on a Hutt Valley Tramping Club trip riding and walking some of the local trails we spent time with livingk and gpetone looking for geocaches and found this one. TFTC
Found with gpetone and Pat&John during a great day walk along this river that gushes, tumbles and in places roars along. Cache a bit damp so gpetone wrapped it in a new plastic bag. TFTC
Once I found the correct tree it was a quick find
The log was a little damp, but I was still able to sign my name.
Loving this walk, amazing, beautiful, stunning.
Discovering this amazing place, thanks again for your hides Dominic-Aidan

Fabulous girls day out in this beautiful forest walk. Had our hands on it so many times lol.
#905 - Girls day out, doing this walk on a beautiful winters day. Everyone needs to do this walk!!! Its 100% Amazing.
We had our hands on it a few times but didn't think it was it. After further investigation, we finally got it.

Found after a quick search.its a bit difficult without cell overage. TFTC the cache container is still ok. The outside bags are a bit worse for their wear.
Nice quick grab after enjoying this spectacular waterfall! Thanks for the series!
These caches are great - no time today to find more - came up on the hide from the back

What a nice hiking trail so far and now those impressive falls. Never seen water coming out of a wall that way. Great. The cache was found immediately. TFTC
I'd had an itch to head this way for a while now so I contacted my mid week caching partner Mc Jandals and proposed a nice little clean up of the area. We had quite the adventure today caching from dawn till dusk finding some really neat caches in some beautiful areas. I managed to walk away with 23 caches and our highlights were the Tarawera Falls and our cheeky Virtual FTF.
This cache was found quickly and in good condition thanks to accurate coords, a straight forward hint and placement. Cheers Dominic-Aidan, TFTC

On a trip with Philip.Perry trying to get this area cleared . II am logging using the Cachly app template so please excuse generic logging along the way. It’s just my way of keeping track, but I do genuinely thank each and every one of you cache owners for taking the time and energy to place these caches. Many Thanks for bringing us back here. Cheers
I needed to get out and do a bit of outdoor exploring today. This was the most challenging cache today. Got to the general area really easily and thought I knew where to look but the GPS was jumping all over the place. In the end it turned out I'd made it much harder for myself than it needed to be. All is well and the cache was returned no problem. TFTC
This is a really wow area spent some time at the falls soaking ( literally) up the atmosphere...a great rainbow was in evidence...this is a special place...the cache took a bit to find ...but all good in the end ...thanks Dominic-Aidan great cache
Another Wow!!! moment. Such a spectacular sight. Really fascinating how the water comes out of the rock. We spent a bit of time appreciating the view before heading to the cache. There must have been quite a bit of "silence" as there were many fallen trees to inspect. As it turned out we need not have looked too far away. Thanks for the placement Dominic-Aidan.
Quick find with the littles for some swaps. We left dad to take pics. Perfect timing.
Found. Have left a sparkly rock that I found on the track a bit up the hill. Cache in good condition. Tftc.
This is our second find of the day, although while logging them, we see we missed some we didn't realise were there.
We are 'free-caching' today, having left our GPS at home, so we are just going on a few notes from the website.
I came upon this one quickly, spotting a classic caching sign.
The cache is in good condition, so we signed as S+P and left an aeroplane.
The falls are amazing, but the river is spectacular further up, so I hope people carry on at least a bit further so they don't miss it.

Tftc. It's our second cache along this track today. Good way to spend our day off
Had a great walk up to Tarawera Falls with family and friends and managed to pick up a few caches along the way. Great spot here, TFTC
Went a lot deeper in than I should have. Ended up being easy once I figured it out. Tftc
My GPS was directed me here and there, and then somewhere But finally, I found it. TFTC! Greetings from Czech Rep.!
Found this one on our way back from the waterfall. Great walk. TFTC. Sherlock Hood and Squirrel.
My daughter came up with the goods here. The falls are just wow. Worth the drive out and the permit. Cool how it comes out of the rock rather than over it. So hot today. Found a calm spot in the water and jump in. So refreshing. Could of stayed in there all afternoon. Lol. Thanks for bringing out here. Tftc
After stopping and taking photos of the awesome Tarawera Falls we carried on to this cache for a quick find . Cache in good condition.

Extensive hunt. Then Mr S said "there it is over there." Spectacular falls and good pictures taken.
Found an interesting bivouac. Is someone living up here?
Thanks D-A.

Oh boy, this makes it all worthwhile, best 5 bucks I think I have ever spent, but looking at that cliff makes going on daunting!

Nice bushwalk around here. And while we were here, of course we had to find also some geocaches. This was one of them. TFTC
I went to the Information Centre, paid my $5 for a permit to drive on the road up towards the Tarawera Falls. It was well worth the money spent. The trail up to the Falls was nice and easy from the carpark.
Thanks for bringing me to view these awesome falls.
Cheers for the cache.

Ninalila and I are spending 2 days around Tarawera Falls and Tarawera Lake.
On our first day, we stopped at the Tarawera falls carpark and went for the walk until the amazing waterfalls coming through the cliff.
A first nice day for taking some photos along the river and at the bottom of the falls.
We may have made a mistake with the dates on the log, we are not sure
we signed the logbook with our team name : lekiprokos
Thank you for the cache and the discovery

Fefe.adrien and I spent two days close to the Tarawera lake. It was an opportunity to go to the waterfalls for photography. We found some boxes on the way.
We were confused about the right date on the logbook.
We signed Lekiprokos.

Found it! Loving this cache trail! Drimdram101 headed back to falls with non caching Dad. They meet us at outlet. TFTC
Another stealth find while the rest walked straight past it! TFTC . deliberated going on or returning to falls carpark....onwards we go!
#1973 quick find at the obvious spot. The outer bag has been chewed by opossums. Log book and cache all fine.
Found with wb1217, wb-jnr and fynn_RE

Many muggles. Patience grass hopper. Enjoyable walk this. Not that many logs considering how many people visit here and how cool this walk is.
Looking by the small totara without luck then widened the area and quickly found back near the track tftc now up to the top!
Out for a family visit to the falls, showing some foreigners the sights. Unfortunately this was more of a sightseeing trip than a caching trip so I couldn't find all in this area, which on the plus side gives me another excuse to visit this cool place.
No troubles locating this one once I found the baby totara.

Found while having a few days away from Whangamata in Rotorua. Easy find GPS was all good today
Found on our 4 hour walk from the Outlet to the Waterfall Road carpark and return (finding caches along the way). Looked for it on the way through but could not find the clue objects in the area so gave up and had another go on the way back. This time the gps took us to an entirely different location quite some distance from where we were looking first time, but was right beside the clue objects so a quick find in the end. tftc
Out for a day tramp with the Hikoi group from Tauranga. The falls were spectacular, company was great, all in all a great day and a great place for a cache. Clue spot on. TFTC
Hallo to all the visitors and thank you for your positive comments.
The Log Book has been replaced and cache container dried out.
Please make sure the plastic bags are done up tightly to help defeat the natural damp of this site.

Always enjoy coming up to view the falls here. The cache could do with a new waterproof log sheet, things a bit damp in there.

Even though the lake is a bit low, and no water coming from the top outlet of the falls...it is always spectacular.
Log is getting a little damp and could really do with a new one, but other than that...very enjoyable.

Found this easily, but the cache was wet, and something has been nibbling on the black bag.
The falls are spectacular! Impressed with the outfall from half way up the cliff.

It was late afternoon when we got to the falls car park. We thought it prudent to set up our tent at the Doc campsite before the rain really set in. Once that was done we drove (a long way) back to the falls turnoff. The walk is brilliant, and the river was such a picture, with vibrant greens and blues. The falls, of course, are spectacular. It was raining, and a misty landscape made it even more impressive. TFTC
We both thought the walk to the waterfall was fabulous, so favourite point for the beauty. t4tc
Wow thank you for bringing us to this brilliant place. It was definitely worth paying $5 for the road to get to this amazing waterfall and get 6 caches as a bonus. We did try another but were not getting much closer, it was all uphill and it was getting late so six was enough this time. I love those amazing rocks with trees growing on top of them. Took lots of photos here. A favourite from us.
Great to be running this track again. Gets a fav point for being such an awesome place.
Gps was cutting in & out a bit, but found it after a short search.
Left a pet rock -a chicken

11851... Have seen photos and have heard heaps about this waterfall, enjoyed our visit and took heaps of photos. Many thanks for showing us these impressive falls... gets a fav point from us.
What a wonderful site to hide a cache. The falls were spectacular. Wasn't expecting the item in the hint to be quite so diminutive. Thanks for the cache.
Awesome walk which I enjoyed immensely. Found baby totara finally. Very baby indeed and didnt notice it at first as I was looking for a larger specimen
Took us just a little while looking until Murray stood back and had a think and a look. We might have known you wouldn't take us far from the path, thus sparing the undergrowth, thanks.
We then headed up to the top of the falls, came back to retrieve Janet's sunglasses at the cache, and then off again. Yes, we did the disabled one at the top..yes, we were very careful. Then we went on to place one. It was a bit of an energetic day. Thanks so much for placing all these, encouraging people to see the beautiful falls.

Beautiful bush even in the rain - nice easy walk into here - falls look fantastic today - excellent tourist and locals spot - took a moment to find right hint clue (actually two looks around it) Cache all good TFTC
Must learn my tree names - a heap of water going over the falls, but no people other than us on our walk in
GPS coverage not flash at the moment so a wee bit of guesswork. The girls need tree lessons, once i pointed out the baby Totora the recovery was swift. Thankyou.
Found this one today while visiting iNZ.

13.05: And yes - we made it up to the Tarawera Falls - including Gabi in the wheelchair. Fallen trees (three of them), sandy washouts and not even larger stones and rocks couldn't stop us. Well, maybe this path has been wheelchair accessible, but then it must have been some years ago already. We cannot recommend to do so. The falls are truely majestic and very impressive: water that seems to run out of the rocks. The box was an easy find using the hint.
Weather: fine, sunny, 16°C, heavy shower on the way back;
Wheelchair: see above - only to the lookout, not to the cache (about 60m remaining);
State: all good.
IN & OUT: nothing.
Thank you for the series and for showing this marvellous place! A favourite point goes out here!

Visited the falls and took some photos. Spectacular!! Then, carried on for the cache. Took a moment, so used the clue. Then it was easy. TFTC Not many people about.
Out and about testing out my Garmin for the first time. If it cuts down on my iPhone dependence, I'll be happy.
And now for the jewel in the crown. First time at these spectacular falls. Few people about, so carried onto the cache. Easy find. On return to the falls, met two ladies from my home town. After snapping some photos, explaining why I was there, and refusing food; I was on my way. TFTC.
Assessment:
1. Wish there were more caches out here.
2. The Garmin is wicked to use... Love it so far.

Found it last Sunday whilst visiting the area for the first time. Introduced our 3 muggle companions to the game, and they helped us find 2 geocaches in the area. We'll leave the others for our next visit! This one had us fooled at first, but it was an easy find once the GPS settled. Most enjoyable walk, TFTC!
Fab series of caches wouldn't have known about the falls without them so a big thank you!
Wasn't going to walk up to this one. thought i would save it for another time when had time to walk right thru, but could hear the falls roaring from the car park, due to the recent rain, and couldn't resist a quick look. Wow
Enjoyable walk along side the crystal clear water. Then we arrived at the falls, wow the water was thundering down just out of the rock, very unusual . After taking lots of photos we continued on towards the cache and the weather cleared just as we arrived at GZ and the sun was peeping through the trees overhead when we signed the log. Thanks for sharing this special place TFTC.
Last of this set in the forrest. Love coming down here for a walk. More water in the falls than last time down here.
11.40am - GPS worked well even with the tree coverage, but had to look for small totara. SLTFTC
We had the same problem as Geckoh it was out on our GPS, We found it in the end TFTC

FTF #6, got the boxed set!!
After the mad dash along the road to nab the previous 5 we took our time to get # 6, as it turned out the bush cover sent me 45mtrs off trail to a very nice spot but not where the cache was hidden so I had to resort to actually reading the cache description and hint and from there it was plain sailing, I have added my GZ coords to hopefully assist the next GeoHunter.
Definitely a Favourite spot and point for this one, the falls were pumping out of the cracks and were impressive, no time to go beyond today as we need to head off to Opotiki for a mother's Day visit we will cherish.
One the way back to the carpark we checked out the stream, awesome water clarity, and surprisingly warm-ish for the time of year too!!
