Visiting from Aus in the wettest time ever. Unable to find cache and too wet to look too hard. Tftc anyway. Nice park. Greetings from Adelaide South Australia
Wanted to turn this frown into a smiley, but no luck! I looked everywhere for 30 mins and couldn’t find it. If someone could confirm it’s still there, that would be great!
Have just seen that it’s not a V bottle, it’s a mint tin. I will be adjusting my search tonight!
Last week, I remember passing this park while on the train and I was really tempted to hop off and collect a couple caches around here, but time wasn't on my side...Fortunately today, I had plenty of time to come down here and explore a few of the neat tracks around the park.
On approach, this place was a little busy with children on the playground here... I won't blame them - These two pieces of playground equipment were my all time favs when I was younger (Roktopus and Climbing net). Especially the roktopus as it was fun smashing into the wood at fast speeds, and BOINGING off again and again. Eventually, I made my way over to GZ and quickly spotted the container which was a bit too "Out in the open", so I made sure to replace a bit better to avoid muggles taking this one TFTC kiwicouple!
After completing my tennis training at the Next Generation tennis club this morning in Grafton, I thought I'd make the most of my time in the city and collect some caches... AND attempt to break my "Most cache types in a day" record In the end, I walked 17.1km through Parnell, Newmarket, Mount Eden, Epsom and Sandringham (See attached image), over 7 hours and made a grand total of 23 finds including 9 Traditional's, 4 Earthcache's, 3 Ad labs, 2 Wherigo's, 2 Mystery's, 1 Letterbox, 1 Multi and 1 Virtual - 7 cache types in 1 day Thanks very much to all the CO's for their wonderful hides, but these two caches - GC89NQA & GC9AZC6 deserve a massive shoutout because they are some of my all-time favs!

Today was a dot day, and also a busy day with a few lectures I had to attend through Zoom - still nothing in person unfortunately - so it was just past midday before I could get out for a walk. I've had my eye on this park for a while as one of the closest places to home I haven't really been to before, so made my way over today.
There was a muggle reading a book close to GZ, but luckily far away enough that I could go straight to the hint item and retrieve the cache pretty quickly. I was confused having read the description and finding a cache that didn't match, but understood after reading previous logs that this was a replacement. Holding up fine and I made sure to recover it with natural camo after signing myself in.
And then of course I had to have a go on the nearby playground equipment as well. (I'm not too old for this... right? ) Thanks for the cache!

A muggle was sitting in their car just where I wanted to have a look so I didn’t grab it today definitely will come back another day. Lovely park
Who knew this lovely park would be in the middle of suburbia . I am an older Aucklander from the Shore . Never knew this lovely area was here having only seen Kyber Pass and Newmarket in traffic jams . What a lovely area .
Was working nearby, so I stopped off quickly, found the cache very quickly and sign in.
Thanks for the cache!
Thanks for the cache!
Added a replacement here. Mint tin RHS tree as you appriach, mid calf level, tucked in
In the area for a solved puzzle and had seen recent logs here and came prepared. I thoroughly checked the host/hint and came up blank so added mint tin, paper in zip-lock, as per Write note. Nice views from here, on to the next. Thanks kiwicouple.
Another Friday morning early start on the trail had me rolling out the gate at 0615 and on the hunt nice and early. My aim for the day was to pick off a few of my previously solved puzzles, as well as any nearby other caches as I passed nearby. Not a fully successful day with a few early morning DNFs to start off but a few new places seen and 11kms of walking and home just after lunch. As ever, thanks to all COs for their caches.

Geocaching is not advisable during Level 4 lockdown.
Do your part at eliminating this virus and DO NOT find this cache.

Almost made a bad direction choice but caught myself and zeroed straight to ground zero. Thanks. Visiting Auckland on HMCS Calgary
The ground was super muddy and wet but the lady in the campervan turned away for long enough for me to grab the cache. Tftc
Cool creative cache container contributing to my copious collection of finds, took us a bit especially in the dark, managed to grab it with Vincent
It was very small and quite hard took me quite sometime almost gave up but then rememberd something that helper me
Nice to see the renovated park in a very nice part of Auckland. Thanks CO for the cache.
Wow what a hill! I walked down Bassett Road and up Ayr Street to get to the park. At first I checked the wrong spot but upon switching spots I quickly had the cache in hand. TFTC!
Pretty sure it’s not here. The tree has had some work done and there are a few logs around. Maybe it was moved during that process.
Scrounged around for a while but not entirely sure where to look so can’t say if it’s here or not
Mark is getting more mobile after surgery earlier this month. We will check within the next 10 days and replace if necessary.
Could not find it! Started to get dark - looked for 15-20 minutes! Will definitely be back
Yep found it this morning early before anyone else was using car park. Found on ground at back behind tree so signed and put back under cover ... hopefully should be close to where should be. TFTC
At the park for a council run Kite day. While the kids were occupied I popped down to check out ground zone. Lots of muggles and some lingering council employees made the finding interesting but found the correct V and had cache in hand in 5 min. Tftc
Today I explored Auckland on foot and covered over 20 km.
I discovered a lot of beautiful places and could find a lot of cans.
Some of them I did not find.
It was a nice, long, sunny day and I want to thank all owners for this.
It was a great pleasure for me to cache here in Auckland.
Thank you and many greetings from Germany
from Pöni.

Looked everywhere we could think of, pretty sure we had the right tree after reading previous comments.
Not in a rush, no rain, found it on first try on return. Nice container. Absolutely not anything V related. Lady caught me looking which wasn't great. Another Geocache lesson learned.
3rd time lucky with this one! Previously hadn’t managed to find it but checked and saw that others had since we last looked so had another try! Thanks a bunch
It was time to take my niece and nephew out on another geocaching adventure. I decided to target around Milford. We were lucky the rain held out and it turned out to be quite a nice day given the torrential rain during the night.
We headed back over the bridge making our way to Greenlane for an event in the afternoon. I had previously tried locating this cache but there was a campervan parked right by GZ and the occupants were busy having breakfast directly overlooking the hiding spot. I had a cursory look at the time but decided to come back another day. My nephew located this very quickly once at the right spot and they were rewarded with time on the playground.

Had a good look in the rain and fading light, and even got my torch out, but not able to locate it.
With two DNFs after my find I was worried I caused it to be muggled, so I came past to have a look. It's definitely still there, I just saw it. Third tree to the left of the toilets, around the back
#922. I pulled up into the car park at about 7pm so it was very dark, but yet there were a lot of people just sitting in their cars in the car park... what were they doing? At least five other cars... were we all wanting to jump out and grab this geocache waiting for someone to make the first move? I had broken the silence with my very loud and very bright yellow car, so at first I just sat there in my car reading the cache description waiting for the right time.
After using the restrooms I loitered around outside and tried to discreetly look for the cache, all the while hoping I didn't get accosted by any of the occupants of the other cars. Maybe they thought I was there for sex, or drugs (or rock n roll), I have read instances of this occurring in logs on other caches located in parks at night so I was wary.
Fortunately I didn't take long to work out the likely spot for the cache, and fortunately there were no occupants of cars staring directly at me, so I managed to be stealthy enough to grab the cache, sign and retrieve it. Phew! Was a little surprised to see it wasn't a V bottle like the description says but that didn't matter at all, it's not a difficult cache to find.
Jumped back in my car and drove off!
Today I was on a mission to find the 14 gemstone clues I needed for the third stage of the Mystery at the Museum event. This was the first one I found tonight. It was a successful night with only 1 DNF out of 17 caches in total! Thanks very much for the cache!

Found as a part of a previous group TanjackMüley, aka WanderingSparrow. Now I'm continuing on my own. TFTC
In the area today with nowhere to park for an appointment, so tried in this reserve.
Had come across this reserve some time ago when we tried to hunt this cache down previously, but there were too many muggles around for us to even attempt the find.....
Today was different, with many cars in the parks, but nobody was around, so the search was easy.
The cache is all good.

Out for a morning run in Auckland. Its great the paths I get to take while searching for geocaches. I certainly wouldn't have come down this way if not for this cache. It didn't take too long to find this one. The hint meant nothing to me but guess its the name of the ......

With a bouncing smartphone it took us a while, but we managed. So obvious when you know where to look... Nice one. Signed an "Team Piraten". TFTC
Enjoyed the playground while mom found the cache.

Early start before work still dark when found at 6.30 am. Found first place I looked. Cache and log in good order. Tftc
Found after second attempt.
Nice little park, thanks for bringing us here.
Cheers

Certainly is a micro. This was our second attempt. Quick find this time. TFTC
Found it after a couple of passes back and forth. Really is a micro. Had been hunting for a bit bigger cache - my mistake.
Second cache find of the new year!
Second cache find of the new year!
A nice little park I never knew was here. Thankfully its not to busy today, and I was able to park very close to the GZ. After reading some of the logs I had a proper look and quickly found the cache, cheers
A few possible hint items in the area, but after a bit of back and forth, I found the right one on my lunchtime run today. Thanks!
Needed a quick P&G today so took the kids here and they played nicely while I grabbed the cache. I looked in the obvious spot, failed to see it, widened the search, then came back to the obvious spot and saw it second time. It's often the case! Thanks to all cache owners for taking the time to place and maintain your caches. BJ25. Find # 1662
I had actually tried to find this one earlier. I could see it but as there were a lot of muggles around at the time I decided to abandon the mission and try again another time... that is how I came to be looking for this particular cache today. The good news is that the area was virtually empty today and so knowing exactly where the cache was made it a nice quick find. So the log book has been signed and the cache is back in its spot all ready for the next finder. So thank you kiwicouple for taking the time to set up this cache. I really appreciate your efforts in doing so. Nice!
