After climbing up and down the big hills all day, it was nice to find an easy terrain cache towards the end of the day. Easy find. TFTC xPhenoms
#3819 (6 of 13 today)
OK, thanks to the weather (mostly) I only have a measly 24 finds in 16 days this month. Weather still dodgy looking, but with the Geowife otherwise engaged, thought I'd take a punt and go for a whole bunch of caches today. Unfortunately, there isn't anywhere close I can do that!
So decided to head up the F3 (or whatever they've called it now) and plunder the area around Woy Woy.
First time caching here, so I was pleased when having just cleared the 90kph wet zone on the freeway the rain stopped. And didn't return!
So made a lot of finds, most admittedly were Park & Grabs, but a few still had some interesting issues. And strangely grabbed a few caches not found for almost six months - no idea why it's been so long.
Definitely returning for more around here sooner rather than later.
###END OF CUT AND PASTE SECTION###
Always enjoyed the *Ma and Pa Kettle* movies staring Marjorie Main & Percy Kilbride, so coming here was a given!
Like my previous find, I parked close, but this time I spotted the hide immediately. Quickly made the grab and took away to complete signing duties.
On the replace I noticed the car in the driveway was open, so the CO can't have been far away.

On this very hot day little Roo was doing a Tryathalon near by, we got a chance to meet Bret Lee the aussie cricket bowler at the finish line. On our way home we crancked up the air con and thought we could handle a few easy terrain hides. Little Roo jumped out of the car when we reached GZ and grabbed the cash TFTC we took the GeoCoin inside to move it along TFTC xPhenoms
After a lovely morning at Umina Beach I was able to pick up a few caches in the area before meeting friends for lunch. Another one I didn't expect to be in such a place. I was worried that the GPS was a bit skewy but as I approached the GZ I saw something that was a likely candidate. All in good order, dropped in a beautiful TB. Thanks xPhenoms!
Couldn't resist grabbing a few early caches before the day started. As I approached I spotted what I hoped was the cache "bingo" signed and replaced as found before anyone passed by.
Thanks for the cache xPhenoms

6/9/16. 2:03 PM. Cache #4167.
6th of 6 finds - Patonga, Pearl Beach, Umina Beach, Woy Woy, Blackwall.
Just looking for quick ones on the way home now; came here after "Solid Rock". And just like that one, my 'Write Note' log from January 2014 shows that the last time I came here I felt uncomfortable to spend much time here on a search, not long enough to call it a DNF anyway. That time was an easly morning visit when many muggles were out walking.
Today I felt I'd give it a good go, and being afternoon the area was quiet. From the car I spotted what seemed like obvious camo that I had missed last time. Got out, walked over to it and made an easy find. Quick sign and replace and then it was time to head for home. TFTC.

Out and about in the area finding a few caches on a bit of a walking tour of Woy Woy.
A quick find here today. [^]

Last one on our little track and felt super dodgy and had to return the cache quickly as people were coming down the driveway. Not spotted, no small feat as I am hard to miss.

After having come up to Woy Woy by train, (nice trip) and walked along Brick Wharf Rd and then on the track along the bay I worked my way over here.
As I approached the GPS said new batteries needed so I thought I would need to sit down at GZ and do what was needed. I thought this would look really odd on the nature strip outiside a house but fortunately I spotted the cache and all was well.
I'd planned to walk back to the station but a bus came along and sped up the trip back to the station - how lucky was that!

In the Umina area for birthday party that geoSon was attending. This was our first attempt for the day. Parked nearby but as we approached, a neighbour was driving out of their driveway and sat in the car for 5 minutes with direct view to GZ. We decided to go back to the car and neighbour eventually drove off. Back at GZ, iPhone had us interested in a bush. Nothing else screamed cache, but it ended up being in the next place that I looked. TFTC.

A quick find by my 3 year old geokid. Nice to find a cache on the coast with accurate coords. Man we've had some frustrations down here. TNLN TFTC
I feel a bit funny poking around near someones front yard. Tho after reading a few more logs i felt at ease a bit more. I plucked up the courage to go look. Found it signed it left couple of little somethings. Replaced it. Whew.TFTC
there wasnt any muggles around today but the sunshine was out today so we enjoyed it while we could tftc tee hee .. ... ..
There was no muggles around today,of enjoying the sunshine elsewhere i guess,So we made a quick and easy find.thanks for the cache xPhenoms tnln sl
Walked right up and grabbed this one whilst a family member of the CO was reversing out of the driveway. Had a brief chat and then we were all on our way. Thanks xphenoms.
Is this one gone ATM?? Found the obvious place for it and what I think was the thing which holds it in place but nothing was there?? Just when I had finally plucked up the courage to grab it also :p
Out for a ride with the Geokids, thought I'd checkout a few local hides.
Nice easy find, Thanks

Found with Spartman. I too don't like poking around in places like that, but luckily we went at dusk, so there weren't too many muggles about, just a few out walking their dogs. TFTC
Team effort with Rharzwor. I was a little worried about poking around in peoples front yards, but Rharzwor made straight for the obvious spot and came up with the cache. SL. TFTC.

Found on our trip to Ettalong Beach for the weekend. After parking a little further up the street, it was a short walk to GZ for a quick find. TNLNSL. TFTC xPhenoms!
I came with the tool required and had a big laugh when looked around!

Travelled up the coast with pdbunce and FootyFanatics to avoid the heat in Sydney (topped 41) on a day that was 31 degrees in Umina Beach so we made the right decision by staying close to water. Nice one. Wonder whether CO was spying on us. TFTC
Found it on a stinking hot Sunday while escaping to the coast with evangt and pdbunce. We felt a bit strange loitering on someones front yard and we're confused about the screwdriver comments. TFTC
Such an awesome cache for kids. They were jumping up and down with excitement and wanted to knock on the door to say thank you. So I promise to do so - thanks for an awesome cache!!
I've been reticent about doing this frontyard cache and have passed it by many times, but today I bit the bullet when I saw nobody anywhere nearby. As it turns out, it's very much a quick park'n'grab, not what I was expecting at all ... obviously the hide has been simplified since I first read the description.
Thanks for another smiley today xPhenons ... I think after today I will have found more of yours than any other! Thanks also to Ma & Pa.

I've been putting off doing this cache. I expected it to be something a whole lot different to what it was. Pulled up opposite today - and in a moment or 2 the needle pointed me in the right direction, and I spotted the obvious. No screwdriver necessary, and I was barely off the footpath. Signed as quick as I could and got out of there, as it still didn't feel quite right. Thanks for the cache xPhenoms, and thanks for letting us infringe on your land Ma and Pa.
I only read the description as I walked towards GZ, a screwdriver!? In the end it was an easy find, and no screwdriver was needed. Thanks..
We finished our day with a nice simple one. Came prepared with correct tool but noticed one in situ. As it turns out, didn't need it as the hide has changed.

Found it. Took longer than it should have.
The lady at the closest house knows, so no need to hide from her. She came out and watched me look for it, chuckling to herself.

I was thankful that I had brought the required tool along, before I realised it was right in front of me. I was very impressed with the container.
Thanks for the cache xPhenoms
While on holiday in Central Coast, I decided to grab a few caches. I planned for around 20, and got nearly that many. Unfortunately, I was pressed for time, so there were some DNF's. But there were quite a few good caches, and I had quite a good time caching in Woy Woy.

3/01/14. 7:49. Almost called this a DNF (amongst my 12 finds this morning), but really a Did Not Attempt. After "Dark Obstruction", I drove down Blackwall Mountain to this one. I had a short look but felt too uncomfortable attempting this. Even if this is at your place (and I'm only getting that from logs, not your description), I don't know what the neighbours or passers by would think - surely I'd look like a burglar casing the joint out? Moved on to King Arthur's instead.

Really not that keen on these suburban front yard caches and nearly DNF'd it. After seeing so many found logs we returned for a second crack at it. CO arrived just after we located the hide and even lent us the required extraction equipment.

definite stealth required, really can't be pulled off in daylight hours, this street is just far too busy. I visited this place 3 times before finding the "private premises—front yard attribute" but still, I can't help but feel I'm doing something wrong. Do the neighbours know (there always seems to be someone coming or going from that place)? I did this in the dark, not sure what tools are available, but best advised, bring a screwdriver 'nuf said tnlnsl thanks for an interesting cache. 16.34.2
Took us a little bit of wandering but was worth the find in the end! Great tools placed nearby
Great idea! Zip lock bag no longer waterproof, so I popped the log in a new one. TFTC
Found today with ants., happi2cu and ironedshirt. Four people cannot be stealthy. Tftc!
Last cache of the day on a trip to Woy Woy. Nice to finish on a quick, easy find after a run of struggles!
Looked around and thought 'no not an annoying this-is-on-private-property-but-the-neighbours-don't-know cache' but then looked at the attributes and saw that it was in front yard with permission so all good.
Made the find quite quickly (nice one) and accessed quickly too.
Thanks xPhenoms!

Co-ords pointing straight to yet another private property search (our third this road-trip). Was just about to don a disguise to fool the neighbours when I spotted confirmation of an easy hide and decided just to get this over with. Signed log and returning camo just as Pa Kettle entered the driveway with a wave.
Sounds like an interesting cache, however my GPS signal seemed to want me to go onto private property. I couldn't see anything straight away, and as there were a couple of blokes working down the street I just felt better continuing on my walk. Maybe next time?
OK, call me a noob but I have just realised the "in front yard (with permission)" attribute. In that case I think I did see where the cache might be.... I shall have to try again with my son who looks much more sweeter and innocent than I.
Felt uncomfortable looking here and returned to car, was going to call it a DNF
Then a nice man approached my car and asked if I found it!
He was I think father-in-law of cache owner? He was helpful.
I also liked the way the tool was provided!

I felt a bit cheeky retrieving this one! Saw it from a distance, but I guess there wouldn't be too much chance of muggling. TFTC
