Continuing my bike ride around Hamilton, and came upon this location. Luckily its quiet along here later in the afternoon, so there weren't many muggles passing by. Made my way to the GZ, and quickly had the cache in hand before heading off along the cycle path, cheers
On a quick(-ish) wander around the industrial area of Te Rapa whilst the car was being serviced. It's really not pedestrian friendly or pleasant around here! Arrived at GZ and almost immediately saw where the cache could be located. But how to get there? Eventually, I just waited for a gap in the traffic and went for it, relying on the fact that none of the drivers would be looking here! It felt very exposed, even more so when my first sweep failed to reveal the cache. Popped over to check another possibility but the z-axis was unfeasible. On return to my original choice, the surprisingly well camouflaged cache was revealed. Logbook full so I popped in a waterproof replacement. TFTC.
Eek that was a terrifying experience! I have been trying to get a lot of caches the last couple of days as a last attempt at the planetary pursuit challenge but have been getting a whole lot of DNF's so I was relieved to be able to get this one. I think I must have looked very strange standing there, looking very confused trying to figure out how on earth I was supposed to get this cache. I did get a few honks and toots while I was standing there. Eventually I decided to just go for it and raced to GZ and there it was was very scary standing there as it was really windy, felt like I might get knocked off! Log is chocka block, I squeezed my name and date at the top of the sheet. Thanks for the cache
After a bit of a break from Geocaching I thought I would get out tonight and attempt a few that I have been putting off for awhile. This was the first one on the list, and it wasn't long before I spotted the cache. As the previous logs have hinted, unless your nickname is 'Stretch' you will struggle to reach it. But you find away eventually... TFTC
Scared myself silly attempting to get this cache early this morning. Finally had all the lights further away time in a manner so there is no traffic around, so didn't feel quite so conspicuous.
After doing #15, this approach to this one was straightforward. Once I got there, I'm sure no one paid any attention to what I was doing. TFTC.
Nice quick find during a job around Hamilton's main roads. All in good order. Was slightly worried about slipping on my way back from GZ, but no public displays of idiocy were given TFTC.
Steed decided to go for a bike ride today and collect a few strays. This one has been on our to do list for a long time. First visit was a no show, second was a find, but no way to access, so today he was back armed with my hiking pole. It's in a tricky position, but he has found that no one takes any notice of a cyclist loitering, so he was able to finally 'knock the b....r off! Thank goodness!
Have driven past this one so often, but not the right time of day to get it, and where I always thought it was it wasn't, got Mr Cam Ham to pop out with me tonight to get it for dot days.
508 Found on Sunday didn't collect because of the traffic. Back last night but road works on the intersection. So back tonight at 10.30 for an easy retrieve.
Out and about with Gap (of Fap and Gap). We planned on a big round up of caches around Te Rapa... so we started off early. It rained as soon as we arrived in Hamilton, and never let up. I got so wet, I had to ask Gap to visit a second hand shop to get a warm, dry coat... All part of the adventure we had today.
A big looping drive to pick up a few more WP (Waikato Progress) caches. Gap expertly manoeuvred in and out of locations to retrieve caches. He brought his high-viz. jacket, but didn't need to look that official with all the rain. TFTC.

Today was the the day to clear a lot green boxes from this area and turn them into smilie faces. With Mrs Fap visiting grandchildren got an early start with the Squirrel, with caches been found easily. But then the rain just started coming down and coming down and both of us getting wetter and wetter.
12.45pm - Bit more of an interesting hide. Parked where perhaps I shouldn't have meant to. SLTFTC

been eyeing this one for a little bit, I suspected where it could be, nice to see i was correct!
Be careful people, this cache is NOT on the main road. High muggle area so had a lookout. Fun find, well camoed. TFTC
A bunch of local students just happened to be walking by at sametime delaying the find. Once they had gone qas easy find. TFTC
What better day to get a cache in such a busy spot than Christmas day! I was able to locate and retrieve the cache without a single car driving by. Thanks for placing it.
6:05pm on a hot and sunny Saturday, and not a car was in sight! So I was unexpectedly able to saunter across the road and retrieve the cache without interruption! TFTC!

A bit of parking up on the grass verge so that I could go for this one.
Cheers for the cache.
Cheers for the cache.
Parked on the bus stop and eventually crossed the busy road. Started walking to the cache which was about 200 m away. "Have you got the pen?" "No, do you?" Duh! (sigh). Trudged back to the car to get the pen. This was a particularly dumb and significant occurrence considering we had had a conversation with the CO that very morning about people who go caching with no pen! Decided to drive the 4WD up onto the grass verge to get closer although it took a while to wait for the traffic to ease up. Are we lazy or not! A scurry to the cache, which was quickly found, then a sliding return down to the caching-jeep. Have not yet got all of this series, but getting there in bits and pieces, thanks. TFTC.
Another one knocked off in this fun series this evening. Took me quite a while to get the GPS to settle down. It really wanted me to be on the top level but that didn't make any sense.

Found a safe park nearby and cycled on foot to the cache. Cache easy to access but strength is always required for the magnets in this series, followed by the C L U N K on replacement. We are making slower progress with our progress finds than the progress construction workers TFTC.
Found this on road trip with Ric ...luckily he could reach it - I don't like heights ...
Been waiting a long time to do this, so as it was a beautiful morning today, decided to park the car near Wintec and do this and and some others with a nice casual bike ride to Horotiu.
The only way to get this was to just ignore the traffic and grab the cache but had to jump to grab it as it was just a little out of reach.
The cycle track is awesome, basically flat all the to Horotiu, well worth doing if you havnt done so and you can get 8 or 9 caches as well.

Another one of these knocked off. A quick find on a cool evening, while I waited for a truck to disappear so I could go back to another cache close by. TFTC
9.20am. Please fellow cachers, consider the little people!!!! I am not a dwarf but I could not reach this one. Managed to poke it with my pen and tried to flick it off but as it flicked it flew upwards and stuck even higher. Logging as a find but was unable to sign the log.
Next seeker if you are not six feet tall do bring a pole.
Thank you. David.

11151... Making slow progress through the series, eight down... and many more to go, TFTC.
The time to do this is 2209hrs! No problem dodging the few cars or with the escapade to gz! Favourite point, TFTC!
The road was quiet this morning - so I thought I would brave this on - I found this one a bit scary - I managed but did not feel to secure and dont think I had that good a look - may have to bring help next time
Found by Mr Kiwi after I didn't spot it. A lot less muggles tonight that there will be after Monday.
Had to pick up daughter from the movies tonight and thought that 10:30 pm would be the perfect time to hunt this one and I was right.
Many thanks
Many thanks
was out and about and had trIed this spot a few times but had to get a touch of help to reach it tftc
4th visit. And FINALLY found it. Even looked here a couple of times. But no such luck. But tonight. SUCCESS!!!
Waiting for kids to finish their evening event at Wintec so thought I'd do a few nearby caches. No-one around on a rainy night, thankfully. Great hide, TFTC

Thought we might have a little trouble retrieving this one with some crew still working near by by seems they were more interested in actually working than what we were up to so a quick find and retrieval was completed. Great to get the chance to see all the new works in progress! TFTC

Headed out tonight thinking that it would be a better time to grab it. Sure enough it was a bit quieter. Nice quick find. Thanks for another great cache.
Followed the geo trail. Had a good look and a head scratch and another look...there it is...good camo, thank you for giving me the credit for placement inspiration

FTF #5.
Didn't bother looking here as Psychrn was standing here when I turned up. After searching for 20mins I thought I'd better start from scratch and search the whole area again. Didn't take to long to find 2nd time around.
