Found with my brother, his wife, her sister and her partner (make sense?), while the guys were in one place searching, I was in another place explaining the different kind of hides out there, and what to expect for the difficulty rating, then I found the cache in a great location to prove my point. TFTC (1390)
Whakatane trip, the mission was 48 geocaches in 24 hours. It was epic, we got 49. This was Number 26 find. This one had us stumped, but with the correct tool, and tweezers we had it, along with some strange looks from people actually using the bridge, please be careful.
Dang, should have found it in 30 seconds. As it was in very first place I tried. But ended up looking every where else first. Read the logs and was convinced to go back to my first spot and noticed something the made me work harder. The "decoy" on the other side took up some time.
A nicely hidden cache. One car stopped to ask if I was OK. Maybe they thought I was going to jump off the bridge?
Many thanks
Many thanks
This visit had it found in half a minute.

Got to the gz and waited for a car to go.soon found where cache is just how to get it.dad got the right tool then i got the cache and signed it.atleast 3 cars wanted to go over the bridge while there.but all good . thanks geckoh
Yep folks, blame the weekend's bad weather on me, it always rains whenever I visit Whakatane. Sunny Whakatane? No Way No! LOL, but oddly enough I have never had anything but sunny days whenever I visit Greymouth. What is this telling me?
Fiddled and twiddled a bit at this one before switching to deep thought mode and spotted something worth checking out, and there it was. No problem with the required tools as I was able to source some adapted versions close by and make the grab on this sneaky little number.
Many thanks FTC

Now we reckon we found this but couldn't get it out, so we are logging it anyway. We took a photo which we can show as proof if required. However, we are on holiday here in a rented car and no way did we have available the sort of tool that we carry in our own car at home. Tried brute force but no good. Hope we were right. TFTC
Well, we had just finished walking the Ohope end of the Toi Track and decided to grab a few more before we head back to Auckland tomorrow. The GPS was BANG ON and I had a quick look around and decided on a couple of likely spots. We had a bit of a hunt and pulled and twisted and then I resorted to reading some previous logs and there was one very helpful piece of information that made me decide that my hunch was right . . . . . we located a tool and revealed the cache container and got another tool from our caching kit to retrieve said cache container, signed the log and replaced everything how we found it. I was not leaving this one with a GNF today. TFTC - great hide!!!
Another excuse to stop on our way home from camping in Whakatane. Thanks for the challenge and the boost to our egos from finding this after a few minutes of considering options. We soon spotted the 'geotrail' and were able to use a nearby tool to retrieve & replace the cache. TFTC! Found with the Brown Treasures. A favourite point from us.
Yes found it! after a break from cacheing nice to see we can still find one of the harder ones.
Spent aaaages here, all along the top, down the side and underneath...grrrr no luck today, will try again another day
Oh no...it's Wano Road AGAIN! We have lost count of the number of times we have visited this bridge. We have searched high and low, and in between. Have dismantled the bridge and undermined its foundations. Mrs Tparty thinks this is the worst cache she has EVER tried to get. Well I'm not sure about that, but it gets a favourite from me just for the emotive outburst of my caching buddy...very entertaining! I would like to say we narrowed down the search options over a period of time, but in truth we needed a nudge in the right direction from some friends. Well done team Geckoh, you got us good on this one. TFTC

1945 After looking for almost an hour I took the PAF option, and luckily one of them was able to give the assurance I was in the right spot. Used a tool, and then another, and soon had the cache opened.
Dry and intact. Good coordinates, but unable to leave a correct site marker there.
Brought through for mileage: "Mineral Mountain (CO)" Green Jeep Travel Bug, 12-12-12 Event, 3 Bros, Aust Light Houses, BEAGLE BIXBY, B 2 B ingot, BROWN BEAR 15, Coin of Danmark, CRDAVIS-Scottish Thistle Geocoin, Fishing Bell TB, GoLeo Travel Bug Dog Tag, Iconic Bridges, land rover TB, Lil' Miss TB, cache critters Baa, Neigh Neddy, and Oink, PAP, Raban, Red Jandal, Rienan TB, Spooky, steben6's DNF Duo - Super Cacher Geocoin, Trakabulldog geocoins, VIRGINia TAG, and trackable shirts.
TFTC Geckoh, I guess you know what you will have to do - again!

I hadn't read any of the description before arriving at GZ, so I was unprepared. Searched for a bit, fortunately there was no mud to muddy my shoes, then read the previous logs and description. Oh! So this is a tricky one! Regrouped and returned to the fray, half expecting not to find it. I didn't, so I left Coastlands with only a 33.3% geocaching success rate.
Determined to give this one another crack but ran out of time. We will be back though
Out for the day with Squirrel Nutcase as chauffeur. We were on a mission to complete the 176 East Longitude Challenge and he would pick up those he did not already have and drop off TBs.
Needed two tools for this one. Squirrel gave us the first and said "Go Figure". Having spotted the cache, the problem was how to get it out. A bit of rummaging at the roadside, and improvising another tool, we had it.
Very cunning, Geckoh. Thank you.

Mrs B found it straight away. Was very pleased with herself. Very cunning hiding place. Last one in the dark tonight before heading back to the caching caravan. Tftc. A favourite from us.

Second go at this one. Found it straight away this time - in a place we checked before, just not well enough! Nice hide. TFTC
yay! found it! after doing stupid thingslike getting muddy shoes etc. all i had to do was dismantle something. was hard though, lucky i read logs and took a tool to remove it.
Damn, called in again, but in 3 minutes, 7 cars and 1 bike went past so moved on to other taiwhakaea caches
No luck by myself, at dusk. So many hiding spots, crevices under bridge, and rock basket on the side . Need many eyes. Also dismantled bridge.
14 DNF ? Maybe a hint?
What type of tool? Long one or monkey wrench or hammer?

Armed with an appropriate tool and no power contractors in sight, the log gave itself up quickly.

Very clever ingenious cache, lucky I had some insider knowledge or else I'd still be there. Earns a fav from me - thanks.
Headed out early for a epic days caching, 12 hours and 52 caches, not to sure about the other stats about the day, but I've definitely deserved a beer.
Struggled with this one, was even thinking about going for a swim, but decided to re-read the cache page and double check terrain etc. Realizing I was in the correct place all along the reading the logs saying that a tool might help, I came to a conclusion of where the cache has to be. I had gone straight to it when I arrived but didn't realize that it needed a tool.
Went back to the car and sourced the appropriate device and having a close look at the options soon knew where to attack. Great hide Geckoh, this one gets a fav.

Well we tried and we tried but no luck.gps also seemed confused.will have to try again another day.
Second visit as last time we were distracted by the "other" possie so, in desperation sought a hint from Geckoh. A persuasion stick was also required to access it. So...yay, yes way! Nice scenery and took lots of photos whenever locals drove by. Thanks for the very sneaky hide.
Had a giggle at the pic and then a quick find in spite of its sneakiness! TFTC!
We initially went straight to the hidey hole, but as nothing came to hand easily we tried elsewhere, including deconstructing a 2 metre piece of the bridge – it would have been a really good hiding place! We then returned to the car for some tools, and reattacked our original prospect, this time with success. TFTC
Another clever dicky one. I started by looking for an area of the bridge with explosive damage after looking for other caches of yours.
After about 10 minutes found it, no removed bridge structure supports or blown up structures to find a hiddy place.
Very, very good hide thanks Geckoh, What about the Waiti caches.

Found at 6:07 AM GAFF5 in the company of Phetlern. It took us 2 goes to find this cache. The first time we were hot on the scent, but not strong enough. So Phetlern had a "chat" with the owner, who then promptly went out to check on it and proclaimed that all was in order again. Went out first thing this morning and the cache was found straight away.
A bit of a dangerous spot to park and we also had a curious local who wanted to know if we were lost.
Thanks Geckoh

We looked for this cache yesterday without success. Fortunately we made contact with the CO overnight and came back with fresh eyes and a nudge in the right direction and made a quick find this morning. Yes way yes, the cache earns a favourite point from us for its trickiness.
TNLN . . SL . . Thanks for the hunt and your prompt response to our enquiry Lian - much appreciated.

On another covert secret squirrel mission...
Yes way yes! It's a tricky cache found. Have been to this location a few times. Had an idea where it was hidden, but needed confirmation. TFTC.

Really wanted to spend more time searching here, I love finding good camo's but my one minute was up and off to the next, hopefully another time
Then i came here ... should have stayed a bit longer
Next time when i have more time.
Next time when i have more time.
Searched high and low, even pulling part of the bridge apart. But no ... no sign of a cache.
In frustration, dialed for help .... BOTHER [xx(][xx(][xx(]....
We should have searched harder, we had come so very close.
Thanks for the cache (and assistance).

Having read up on the logs on this one was expecting a bit of a mission, and was pleased we had three sets of eyes looking, but we found pretty much straight away. Very nice hide
Three of us looking and thinking - quickly had the sneaky cache in hand - all good TFTC
Lucky I had my eyes open for this one, walked past it a couple of times before we found it.
We were lucky with this one as we immediately spotted a likely hiding place on arrival. Great hide TFTC.
Three cheers for the birthday boy --- a glass of red wine with his lunch strengthened his resolve on our revisit and it turned a Wa'no into a Wa'to'go!!!!!
TFTC and for the challenge, Geckohs!
