Cache hidden well. I did not have this account when i done it last time. I done it with rose n ben last time. TFTC
Had a spare hour while passing through Rotorua for the first time in about 20 years. Had to fill in time finding other caches first before the muggles disappeared.
Cats&Dragons and I were spending the weekend in the Turangi / Central Plateau area organising some aspects of the 2016 Mega. We were driving home via a few meetings and picked up some caches along the way as well.
nice easy park and grab, TFTC

We knew exactly where to head for, that sign is very familiar, been trout fishing there many years ago. Nice quick find. TFTC.
This morning we woke up to a grey day but keen to find a few caches around the area.
We travelled from Taupo to Rotorua, the rain falling heavily as we arrived into town
Thanks for placing this cache Geckoh
Stopped here today after visiting the Paradise Valley Springs park, alas no travel bug? but it still shows against this cache? Quick park & grab for us, the walking route looks interesting but we have no time today, will have to return another day. Replaced the bits of paper with a log book. TFTC

Disappointed I only had time to grab the cache, as it would of be nice to see the stream. Next time I have to go for a wander and have a look. The weather wasn't the best anyway.
[green] Still working on my crazy Auckland Mega trip: Palmerston North -> Auckland -> Russell -> Auckland -> Matamata -> Auckland -> Rotorua -> Auckland -> Rotorua and at last back home to Palmy tomorrow. But first today's caches: this time I decided to cycle out to Ngongotaha. Did those, and my next plan was to cycle out to Mamaku. But it turned out that the Mamaku caches are outside the GPS pocket query radius. Darn. So around the Mount it is. To this one. And look! It's a Skindo cache! (You'll know what that is if you do some caching in the Wairarapa).
PS. Darn. Fearless Fliers, the next cache along, was disabled when I did the pocket query. Oh well, hopefully it will be there for my next trip.

Nice quick find on a short side trip while traveling back through Rotorua towards home in ChCh after the mega. TFTC

A lovely spot this was and after a brief search the hide was found, SL, TNLN, TFTC and greetings from Aussie cachers
Picked this one up and read the sign. It looks like a nice place to walk down to...not sure if visitors are allowed in out of fishing season. Thanks for the cache.
Needed a quick find and got it, knew there was a jogger coming up the rd as had just passed him.

Found a cache along the stream many years ago with my young son but got acosted by an official who wanted to know why we were there out of season. After explaining what we were up to he ended up taking us for a private tour around the trout hatchery nearby.
Not so exciting this time but the visit brought back pleasant memories.
Many thanks

Killing time while waiting for the vet to release the dog after surgery. Picking up a couple of caches that are long overdue for a find. We've done most of the walks in the area now, we will have to keep this one in mind next time we are looking for somewhere to go. Took TB TFTC.
tftc was getting too late to go for a walk so just a park and grab for this one.

Found with golidelover. This was a fantastic spot but we didn't have time to stay. Dropped off a tb to continue its journey. TFTC
Found with stairman1. This was a fantastic spot and we would have liked to have had more time to visit the lake but we had to keep moving. Dropped off a tb I had collected from an event in Australia some time ago. Enjoy your time in New Zealand. TFTC
Have always liked this cache placement as a holder for TBs. Dropped off two tonight. Have held for a while and yes, they both need to get moving. We've travelled a lot in the past months. Now it's time for someone else to share the journey.
Quick find, even though was being watched by many black 4 legged friendly cattle. TFTC
Awesome place to hide it. This is the first cache find for everyone. Lots of fun.
Found on our way to the Birds of Prey Centre. Interesting just how important this stream is to the fishing world, TFTC
Two muggle movers beside gz. Fortunately those inside were distracted. Thanks.
Quick drive by on the way to Rotorua. A plant with thorns tried to attack my hands while collecting the container, however managed to get it out of the way before being damaged. TFTC
We headed out to do the the few caches along this route. Have not been to this part of the stream before, thanks for bringing us here. The dry grass in paddocks was alite with glow of the setting sun, beautiful
A quick find on a flying visit to the area.
- 2 tbs
You forgot to mention the thorn bush.

This cache was found as part of my epic as move down south to Christchurch from Auckland - A drive that involved around 3,000km, 350 caches, 14 days, and a bit of a detour through East Cape, Gisbourne, Napier/Hastings, some back roads in the Wairarapa, Cape Pallisier and Nelson/Tasman as well as every CANZ cache along the way that I was still missing. (Hence my excuse for the not as interesting log as I usually try to make mine.) But thanks to every awesome amazing as cacher that placed caches along these roads, you made my trip awesome, and very cache happy!
TFTC!!

23:55 Let's just say I was cutting it fine to grab a cache of the day, having been in Hamilton, associating with others in side orders, being driven back to Rotorua East then (finally) enroute back home. Did it rain, or what? Cheers (a slightly damp), GC.
I have logged this cache as part of ADVENT-ure Challenge http://coord.info/GC4234P

2nd time today I had to out-wait someone parked using their phone. But then all good, with a quick find, TFTC
Quick find, on the way to Paradise valley wildlife park, we didn't go down to check out the river. TFTC
Early morning caching while on holiday is great. Had a couple of others to pick up along this road so it was nice to stop and let the 16 year old practise his driving skills. Made it back in one piece so that's all good. TFTC
Miss Lauren said it was too cold to get out of the van, but she seemed interested when I made the find.
Drove past GZ and walked back to retrieve the cache. There was a real chill in the air and the rain was beginning to fall, so was very pleased to find the container quickly. TFTC

Lovely stream. Met up with a fishery officer who advises not to go down to the stream during lambing season. This is to respect the land owners wishes even though it is not mentioned on the sign. Good practice I say. TFTC
