It has green up since the bush fires and the grass has grown back lush looked everywhere but no luck

13-Jul-24
Sadly did not find this cache. It is obvious that the area has been burnt in the past year (burnt trees etc) and we suspect that the cache is likely to have been burnt too. Think this one needs checking on.

13-Jul-24
Unfortunately it doesnt appear to be there anymore

18-Jun-24
W e stopped here and had a quick look around . There has been a fire throughout here. C.O. may need to do a maintenance check.

24-Dec-23
Unfortunately I think this one was a victim of the recent fire.

15-Nov-23
We arrived near GZ to see the area has been burnt out recently in the fires.Didn't hop out have a look as where the GPS was pointing was just ash.

Log is full and I have no scissors to cut a new one, so dated and signed gtm

07-Jul-23
This one is very tiny. Almost gave up. But last look and got it

07-Jul-23
Took about 20 minutes to find but was a great find after all. Had to go back a few photos and years to find any idea of where it could be. Once screwing the container back on the key ring snapped because of how rusty it was but I put the container back on as best as I could

Found on the 1st object that Mr TiedyeSmileys looked at. Now if only he had actually found it then it would have saved another few minutes searching around before Mrs TiedyeSmileys went back there and found the little sucker (or should that be critter)

08-Aug-22
A short trip out from our camp for this one today. Found a very likely spot after looking far and wide back where we originally started searching, but it wasn't there. Finally found it very close by.

We have moved on from Caboolture and wound our way north to Woodgate. Not much caching to be done but some relaxing time walking and riding along the beach and catching up with family.

Thank you for your efforts in creating and maintaining the cache seirra1.

on a work/play trip from Brisbane to Bundy and back . I had time to find a few caches. I was just about to give up with this one but looked at some photos and it still took a bit to spot. All up around 20 minutes. Thanks for the fun cache, happy i stayed to find it today

29-Jun-22
A planned couple of days away with my girls. Heading north to meet up with friends and stay a night in a motel resort, which turned into a sleep over at a friend’s place.

It has been a long day with a few caches and a lot of distance covered and a few stops for chats along the way. We were nearing our final destination but there were still a few more I wanted to grab as we passed. This one took way longer than it should have. Luckily, I have a 4wd with some big lights so it stood out eventually.

We signed the log and replaced all as found and continued our journey north. Thanks for bringing us here all good with this cache.

Well that took a lot longer than it should have. GPS was spot on. We were at the right spot but it's all in the angle. TFTC

We weren't getting our hopes too high for this one after the recent dnf's but decided to look anyway as we were going past. Nearly gave up and walked away when it suddenly came into view! Woohoo! Happily signed the log and replaced as found. Favourite point given.

TFTC. We are housesitting in Bundaberg for a few months, we had not been out for a few days so it was decided to head out toward Woodgate Beach. The benefit of geocaching is that it get you out and about and exploring areas. We had not been this way on previous trips.
We made a point of clone ting three of thirds series along Goodwood Road before getting to the coast. Wonderful concept and great hides.
We found the log sheet on the ground before spotting the actual part container. Put the log back in the lid and tried to ensure it would stay there.

01-Jul-19
After parking on the side road, we commenced our search in the likely spots. After reading the last DNF we were ready to give up, but Princess Madelyn had one more look and there it was. This one needs a bit of maintenance - the bottom half of the log container is missing and the log now sits precariously in the lid. Thanks seirra1 for placing this cache - we always enjoy the ones that are just a bit different from the rest. Cheers from Bindair Dundat and Princess Madelyn.

Driving to Bundaberg from Hervey Bay on our visit from Sydney. With a description like this how could we possibly pass it by? Found this little critter - ick! - but pretty exposed. We propped up the camouflage that looked like it had peeled away. Great hide. SL TFTC Cheers... Gaztek

20-May-17
A geocaching roadtrip is an amazing thing. It takes lots of preparing, planning and pre puzzling to ensure time on the road is maximised. I have to say I exhibited none of these attributes as we readied ourselved for this roadtrip. I was fortunately joined by the energizer bunny (seffnjarah) and the Square Jawed Mountain Man (Crookedpete) who both like to prove how capable they are as the alpha males of the Bromance. While there is often much chest beating and tantrums, we manage to remain positive and end up with a good plan of attack.
We set off on Friday lunch time (so CP had time to make himself pretty) and returned late Sunday nigh, traveling some 2000klms, approx 70 caches of varying D/T Ratings, in just on 54 hours. Sadly there were a few DNF's (which some of the team took harder than others), but we saw many different cache styes, and some amazing places. Thanks to all the CO's who placed these caches for us to find.
Yes this one ended up as expected. The CO is one Creepy Crawlie fella!

19-May-17
I love a good roadtrip.

It has been far too long since Seffnjarah, Swellerfungus and I did stupid things a long way from home. So, a Bromance caching road trip from Brisbane to Rocky & Yeppoon and a few ports (and mountains) in between was planned.

The cache name and a slightly higher DT raised our interest at this one. We parked safely nearby and in no time at all, Swellerfungus located the guardian. The container at first eluded him (strange - since it is tethered), but soon enough our initials were in the log.

Many thanks Sierra1

Pete

Another stop along the way, and once again the rain stopped just before arriving at GZ. We managed to locate the guardian for the cache container but it took a few moments more before we managed to locate the container for the logbook. TFTC

18-Feb-17
On the move again, unfortunately heading south as we have to wait for a part for our fridge to arrive in Maryborough. So, to make the most of it, be cached along the roads from Bundy to Hervey Bay - Any caches where it was safe to pull up with the van. We were able to find a side track to pull into, and started the search. GZ was out, so we looked in a the obvious spots. High and Low. I was about to give up when Mr D called to say he had found it. Left me to gently extract, sign and return. Thanks seirra1

30-Sep-15
Up to Bundy for a few days for a not so pleasant reason - and today I get the job of driving back to Brisbane in the car. No other responsibilities today. Have noticed these on the TomTom many trips this year, but never the opportunity before to stop. Till today. Errrk, nice? Hmmm, not so sure. Cache is fine though.
Thanks for placing this cache, seirra1. Found in good condition.

Cursed thing!

Found it after a while, just before it became dark. When I came back, my headlights were still on and the battery flat.
Shit. >.<
Somebody pulled by luckyly and jump started my car.

Nice container though. Wink

21-Jul-15
I am on Annual Leave, so I decided to head north in search of warmer weather. Wink A couple of days in Bundaberg will do nicely. Smile

With so many caches and so little time I had to pick and choose which caches I was going to hunt, so I probably will bypass quite a lot. Higher D/T ratings, multis, puzzles and caches with favourite points will be me targets. Smile

I decided to take the slightly scenic route from Childers and get a few caches along this road. Big Grin

This was my first stop for the day. The trusty GPSr took me straight to GZ for a nice quick find thanks.

A favourite point for this one too. Cool
