Despite the found log by forereach which seems to indicate an easy find, I've had a message from dogwood53 who was with forereach saying the cache is definitely not there as Roger has said. So a slight bit of miscommunication, but the outcome is just the same. The cache is gone. I've decided to let this one go into the big caching home in the sky. Thanks to everyone who came to find it.
Set out for a days walk in South Hazelbrook to complete the caches in this beautiful part of the world with the other half of Forereach to celebrate our 32nd wedding anniversary along with Geobrother (Dogwood53). Found the cache easily enough in a great spot. TFTC
I hate being the bearer of bad news mate but this one has gone missing.
I was returning to Hazelbrook via the Victor Falls track and since I was passing right by this cache I thought to check on it.
I had found it back in 2013 but the location has remained with me mainly due to the difficulties I had getting the container. Anyway I am positive I was in the right place and only one cover stone was left there and nothing else.
Just thought you should know.

Last of5 caches we found today on the terrace falls walk really nice walk and fun finds would really recommend this area
It was such a beautiful Sunday morning I couldn’t resist a trip to the mountains for the day. Having hiked Kedumba Valley last weekend I had noticed a nice little group of caches around Hazelbrook and made that my destination.
The cliff walls made locking in on the cache with the GPS challenging. The Magellan doesn’t let me see the spoiler photos so I was on my own with just the clue to guide me. I climbed where I didn’t need to go then turned around headed down and made the find.

Walked on from previous waterfall to this one. Good hint, meant a quick find. Cache all good. Tftc
This one took forever, as I kept following the GPSr arrow, when the signpost at the start of the track down to the creek told me that I had to go past the falls a fair way and cut back! In the end that is what I did and it was an easy find once at GZ.
5 years later and I found it! I had even forgot I had logged a Did not find until now. Dont know how I missed it last time. TFTC
this was meant to be my first cache today not my last along my bushwalking/caching route. after a very pleasant lunch spot at the base of Victor Falls I wandered up to the cache zone. I wasn't quite tall enough to reach it and when jumping up I managed to fall over but at least it wasn't over the cliff edge. no blood spilled and no one around to see the fall so no pride damaged either. Putting the cache back was a tad more problematic but still accomplished without too much stuffing around. I've really enjoyed my short morning winter adventure. I'll be back in the warmer months for the caches I've left undone along these tracks so I can see the area in a different light.
now to sneak past the guard dogs at the top of the fire trail. one of them thought I just shouldn't be allowed to be there. hackles and barking but no real menace , I just stood still until he wandered back to his house, maybe i'll find a different parking spot next time. tftc bikerbuddy

After spending an hour at 'At the end of our road', having a picnic and a dip in the pool, it was time to move on. Although not in the direction of our loop back, we decided to walk over to this cache as it was not too far away.
The cache was found, with the clear hint/spoiler. We did not continue the trail, as we wanted to head back to the our starting point.
Thanks for the cache, bikerbuddy.

My height was an advantage at this cache. Spotted the cache from the trail and made the retrieval on my tiptoes. TFTC!
The last of several caches found this morning on an enjoyable circular walk in the area. A bit of a challenge to retrieve but not too difficult. TFTC!

Found this one on the way back from Terrance Falls, really enjoyed the track, a lovely walk along the creek, thanks for placing this one. A straightforward find and my 8 year old climbed up to do the retrieval.

I'm very glad this cache was placed where it is, as it had me planning the route down this track (So i guess the cache's purpose worked!) It was such a scenic and enjoyable walk through the valley and I really encourage everyone to attempt it! I got a little confused as to what level I needed to be on to find this one, but after going ahead a bit, realised the track winds back around and downwards, and eventually Drakeven made the find. Good thing we had a very sturdy stick (broom handle) with us!

In the dim dark days of geocaching, there existed a mega multi on the mountains that required a LOT of effort to complete, so much so, only 2 people managed to do it.
Each of the WP's was named after a fictional character and was placed at waterfalls with those names, WP Victor lived here.
An easy find and a nice flow of water over the falls making for a nice spot to stop and stare.

I was thinking how are we going to get up there? This place is nothing like the Forbidden Fortress, of which I got into myself. But in the end I found something which made the cache retrieval much easier.
Thanks for the cache.

#290 found with Noodles22 on a day caching in Hazelbrook area. Trying to work out how we were going to get the cache but spotted it a lot easier place. Found a way of getting it signed & replaced
Searched for quite a while and had already given up and continue along the track, when I realised that I had been searching along the wrong track. Luckily tall enough that no scrambling was necessary. Merry Christmas and Many TFTC!
Great quiet spot, it does not look as though it gets a lot of visitors through here.
I had some spare time between appointments at Selwood House where I have been working for the week, and what better thing to do on a beautiful spring day than go caching. I hadn't really planned on going this far, and the terrain rating almost put me off until I realised it really only applied to GZ. Access along the recommended route was easy and spectacular, and finding the cache was a simple matter compared to others I had found today! I am very glad I decided to go that little bit further! Thanks bikerbuddy for the cache
Rated: for Overall Experience
I came up to Lawson for 2 nights for a church camp. Had 2 hours spare, and had prepared a running loop that was designed to get a number of the harder caches around.
This was number three. I came here after The Amphitheatre and Burgess Falls, and this was an equally nice area. Unfortunately, I didn't have anyone to shove me, so I had to earn the terrain stars!

On a warmish Saturday morning we headed in to this cache from Terrace Falls rd. Seems they've graded the old fire trail at some point as we remember it being somewhat rough in places once upon a time. Not that it matters as at the moment you have to leave your vehicle at the locked gate anyway. We went to Terrace Falls first and then followed the good track back up to Victor. Then it was on to the cache on the walk out. One can spend quite some time in this area on the various tracks visiting a number of falls - it's quite a pretty area. Thanks bikerbuddy.
Fantastic to be in Blue Mountains area with tmann421 geocaching & taking in the views.
Thanks so much for bringing us here & for all the enjoyable placements to find.

a great walk through the wet bush today to find this one. Found a little friend along the way (will attach the photo of the lizard). Got an even better shot of joegleeson_25 getting right into all the holes in the rock face looking for this cache....but won't embarrass him TFTC
My eleventh find while out for the day with Mel_Adz.
Continued on down the track for Views 3-31 Rock.
The area just above this cache has awesome views of the water falls here. We wanted to venture closer to check them out but the rain had made everything quite wet and slippery.

A very nice walk along the well formed track to GZ, of course you need some height for this one and retrieval proved a bit of a problem.
However even a solo cacher can in the end find a way to reach it.
Thanks for the cache and the great vista.

There are times when an approach can bring out the derring-do of the Geocacher, as was this day by Bisygisy - whitemushroom simply marvelled, and signed the log. TFTC
Not sure I went in the easiest of ways for this cache. In the end with a big effort the cache was soon in hand for the signing with whitemushroom. TFTC.
After the DNFs on this one I knew it needed checking. Sorry it's taken so long. Things have been busy. It's weird how a cache hidden in a place like this can be muggled, but it was missing, just as the previous logs suggest. I've put a replacement cache in, but a bit lower. If you look at the spoiler photo, the cache is under rocks just near where my feet are. I've changed the hint to reflect this.
Looked for this one for about 10 minutes but didn't find it. I'm pretty sure we were in the right location too based on the hint photo. Looks like it might have been muggled!
On our quest to net 5 of the caches in this area, we came across a big lizard guarding the area at this one, we did get passed him, and am certain we were in the right spot (In fact first place I climbed to was what we think is the right spot) Couldn't Find it . Left it for a while and then wandered down to the falls (Amazing little spot). then came back to try again and viewed the spoiler pic. Yes right spot...no Cache. Thanks for leading us down this track bikerbuddy, it was well worthwhile & now have an extra reason to go back to try again.
We had a quick look today but didn't find it. After looking at the spoiler photo I was definitely looking in the wrong spot. I hope to be back soon to try and nab it.
Our second for the day. Would not recommend this for Geo grandparents unless you have Geo grandkids to do the climbing. A lovely spot, so quiet and yet so close to a major metro area.
TFTC great location. Thanks for taking us to such a beautiful place.
Thank you for making caching more interesting by placing this cache. TNLN

The second on our Team Canary 100 day streak loop, and indeed the cache that marked this fab achievement. A beautifl walk through the forest interspersed with a few tricky navigation choices. Approachiing GZ we had a decision to make - to continue on the track or engage our climbing prowess again. Alfybyo and I took the latter option whilst the rest of the party took a more leaisurely route to GZ. Once again it was Alf who did the rock scambling and located the cache, we signed the log just as TC arrived to claim thier prize. Much applause was provided and I even detected a smile and some relief from the big member of TC.
Well done guys - a tremendous achievement.

Our team continued the walk to this cache, past the waterfall and along the wet track. We came to an end in the track, so PPE and I decided to go straight down, while the others came from a different side. I read the hint, and then made the climb to make the find. The rest of the team joined us and we marked this as Team Canary's 100 day streak find. WELL DONE !! We SL and I replaced again. Thanx BB for a cache in a very beautiful spot, glad I didn't have too much trouble finding it....TFTC

This was a special find as it marked Team Canary's extraordinary 100 day streak and it was great to be there for the milestone. Even on a damp day, the gorges of the mountains are wonderful places to be. The group came to what seemed to be the end of a track so some of us backtracked to loop around to GZ from another approach. Instead, PPE and Alfyboy made a giant leap with Alfyboy again showing his rockclimbing prowess. Canary signed the log and received well-earned applause from all. A champion effort!
Thanks to Team Canary for inviting us along and to Bikerbuddy for another well-placed cache.

100 straight days!!!
I had saved a bikerbuddy cache for my 100th day as I wanted to say thankyou for all that you have done over the last two years. A true friend, I am glad we met!
And the cache was a good one too, with a short climb at the end.
Thanks to Alfyboy, Baktrak, pjmpjm, Purplepeopleater and sjamp for the company today. And my boys too.

Another geocache found with a group celebrating Baktrak's 1000th find at 'Daylight.'
Following the GPSr's lead, we took the wrong 'low road' rather than the correct 'high road' but alfyboy and PPE had the physical prowess needed to go further.
The rest of us turned around and travelled further on the CO's recommended route, only to find that our two agile friends had already retrieved the container . . .
All was in good order. TNLNSL.
Many thanks to bb for another interesting challenge!
Special congrats also to TC for achieving the 100 day GC find streak.

Well, do I need grow plus. Almost impossible for geriatric
to access. Could not climb up so crawled along ledge, very dodgy.
the reward however was a great view of Victor Falls in the background. Thank you.

I had a few free hours this afternoon so I thought I would check out Bikerbuddy's latest. I also wanted to record some of the tracks in the area for OSM. I parked at the top of lake road, and headed down the fire trail before turning off on a rough but well defined track, eventually taking me deep into a gully and alongside some beautiful pools (willawong and Bedford pools according to the signs ). I also got within 500m of the "hidden fortress" cache. If I had seen a defined path up that way I would have taken it but I didn't think I had enough daylight to safely do a bush bash but may attempt that some other day. Anyway, once I had finished exploring the lower tracks it was time to head back up to the falls. Since I was coming from the bottom, I passed through both terrace falls and victor falls before getting to the cache. I certainly made it more confusing coming in from this angle as the track does several switchbacks descending to the falls, so given poor GPS reception I thought I was close enough to apply the spoiler when in fact I was too low down. I certainly felt for MV as without the spoiler I think it would be impossible to identify exactly which spot to search in. Even once you have located the spot, getting to the cache is a challenge, especially if you are traveling solo as I was. But got there eventually, and was gratified to see a blank log. Thanks bikerbuddy for a fun hide in a beautiful location.
I've added a spoiler photo to this page if anyone wishes to use it after Marcus Vitruvius's DNF. Hope this helps.
With about an hour or so spare before needing to head off to the Autumn Bluies event, I figured I may as well jog out to this one. Arrived at GZ to be confronted with plenty of places to hide a cache, but couldn't locate it. Climbed up, over, down, around within 20m of the coords, but still nothing. Consulted the cache page for hopefully and hint...but nothing useful except for a photo that was apparently in the vicinity of GZ...which was 50m away from where GZ actually was. Wasn't sure to believe the photo or the coords, so left it for another day. The jog out and back was enjoyable though.
