Well even though this has been archived, it is still there to be found. The logs were full so I left a small emergency log.
The view from here is phenomenal.
Worthy of being adopted if the CO has withdrawn from the game.

I was now on my way home from a fantastic weekend at Mount Buller, but there were still caches to be found on the way home, this was one of them.
As I was in the area and I had to drive almost over the top of this one, I stopped for a look.
It is certainly a great view from here and after a short search the cache was found and the log was signed.

Found with Wozzle68 on our way to the Mount Buller Getaway event. We have driven past The Paps twice in the past 18 months, but never had time to stop by and explore, so this trip we rectified this. We really enjoyed this seemingly secret reserve and the spectacular views it had to offer. We would never have ventured in here without geocaching and the reassurance that it was okay to drive through the private property. This cache was found quite quickly as a few kangaroos plus a wallaby watched us from the paddock. TFTC mvyrmnd
This one was not half as hard as it sounded thanks for placing the cache in such a beautiful location.
A few days in the high country for a bit of R&R, and as I'd found most of the caches around mansfield, decided to get out to these ones in the Paps. Hadn't realised access was allowed through the private property until I visited the info centre.
So glad I did. A great spot for a cache, stunning views, and spot-on coords.
My thanks to mvyrmnd for bringing me here, will remember this one for sure.

Beautiful day to head up the hill. Ditched the 2WD just a little lower down the track thanks to the ruts. Not sure if this one has been remodelled but it certainly isn't small in size as indicated by the description. Amazing views and onwards and upwards.
Wow was well worth the quick detour !! Glad I was in a four wheel drive as some
Of the wash outs were quite deep ! Thanks for the cache nice and dry and still in great condition !!

On day 1 of our 3-week road trip from Melb to Surfers.
Decided to try for this one on the way to Mansfield.
Nowhere to turn around until you get to the cache, so no turning back. Had to push on. Glad we got to where we did, but the damage done to my XR6, I wouldn't recommend anyone do with a low(ish) clearance 2wd.
Thanks for bringing us here, the views and for the cache.

Today OzHockeyChick and i left Melbourne on a 3 week tour from Melbourne to Queensland by roadtrip choice to pick up some caches and see some sights:
This cache was a slight detour off the main trail allegedly.....not...
We took a 2010 model Ford up this hill. The run off ruts in the track were so bad that we were giving the belly of the ford the biggest scratch you could dream of or should i say nightmare about. We pushed on manouvering the car from side of track the off the track to get the thing to not rock on the middle of the underbelly.
Yes we should not of taken the ford up here so the find was sweet when we made the find. Views were awesome and dissapointed that we couldn't continue up the track.

On holidays at Merrijig and decided to go for a drive. The little Toyota certainly struggled on these roads and a bit of walking was in order on a gorgeous day. Great view from up here and certainly worth the visit. Thanks mvyrmnd
#1057 - It has been a long time coming, finally I got the chance today to come up here and visit the Paps!
A cache with a view, thanks mvyrmnd, had a great time caching with family on Christmas.

Amazing view.
I have always driven past the Papa and thought that the view would be spectacular. I just didn't know that the public were allowed there.

I am logging this old find I made with Legomango9. He now wants me to create my own separate account.
After spending the night in Mansfield we lazed over a very long breakfast before slowly heading toward home, caching along the way.
This was a simple drive-by as we made our way back down from the summit of this enjoyable drive.
Thank you, mvyrmnd, for this cache.

Description appears out of date but thank goodness for that! It took me a little while to find as I was massively distracted by the view. Glorious, glorious day up here - I can see for miles.

#1711 - B found on his way down from the Paps top. On the 700-35C hybrid the track was definitely a challenge to descend. All part of the fun and challenges on our AroundOz bicycle tour now over 5000kms. Thanks mvyrmnd for the cache up here with such great views of Mansfield.
Found with Liz & Bruce. I had done the original one here many years ago but it was nice to come back up here for that view! A hill does not have to be that high for a good one.
Parking is at a bit of a premium here.

Day three of our Lake Eildon Geotour and we started from Mansfield this morning having stayed in a cabin at the caravan park last night. Got up pretty early, poor Alansee was eating his cereal well before he would have been if he had been home . It was already threatening to be a hot day so the early start was doubly good. We enjoyed doing the caches on the rail trail around Mansfield and then the drive up to the Paps had white knuckles for me as on clung on having been designated to the back seat of the Landcruiser. The view from the top was fabulous. What a morning, we had not even attempted one of the geotour caches but had participated in both the Boob Tree and Papal Menagerie and soared to heights only birds get to enjoy. We went at it all day, loving the scenery and the hides and as we got closer to the elusive number 20 and though we were hot and sweaty our enthusiasm was not waning. So as the sun was setting we were finally able to say "yes we've done it". A master achievement by the organizers and for all the other caches nearby that added cream to the whole experience. Thanks to mvyrmnd for placing this cache and allowing us the privilege of visiting your beautiful area. Fav point alloc.

Well, my annual leave was about to come to an end, but I have enough days left to finish off the Lake Eildon Geotour and hopefully a stop at Lake mountain on the way home to pick up a cache or two for the Victorian LGA Polygon Challenge. It goes without saying I would also grab the other caches along the way.
After a restless nights sleep, I was up and out early. After finishing off a multi in Mansfield, I was heading towards Alexandra. Wanted to log the nearby trig point on GCA. Fantastic spot, especially on top with a stunning view.
Thanks to mvyrmnd for placing this cache. TNLN

This was the last day of my holidays, leaving Mansfield, used the GRHC series as my basis, but did some others in between. To avoid the Melbourne peak hour, I picked a couple of extra ones near the end of my list. I've been up here for another cache and love the views. Unfortunately, the pico cache is currently a small, and this is what I found - much easier, I'm sure, than a pico cache.
My thanks to mvyrmnd for the cache.

Found at 12:07 PM GAFF1 in the company of maccamob. It has been a long time since we were last up here. Actually it was Sept 2004 - just over 10 years ago!
After finishing the GeoTour, it was suggested by maccamob that we have a go at the new caches up here which we of course immediately jumped at the suggestion. What better way to enjoy the district and all of the places we have recently visited than to see it from a marvelous vantage point.
The track up was much easier than when we last were here and it didn't take too long to get to this wonderful spot. We noticed that it was a micro and we immediately checked the "nano, micro" spots, but nothing. Then we noticed the UPOR's just to the right and what do you know - a small Sistema container with what looked like the original nano in it [^]
Thanks mvyrmnd.
Feedback: The cache size is not a micro (nano) it is a Small.

Found by Mary & David, in company with pprass, at 1200. We remember doing The Papal Menagerie back in July 2002 in our GeoCalais! The erosion humps seem to have been added since, and the Calais wouldn't make it today. The GeoPrado, however, was in its element. After a quick find of the cache, we admired the views, then drove a little further up the hill to a flat grassy area where we enjoyed a pleasant and scenic lunch break. Our thanks to mvyrmnd.
Thought i'd drop in on this one on way home from a few days cycling in mansfield.tftc
So we were on a roll finding caches along the rail trail with a muggle friend who was feverishly excited about learning to cache when the suggestion to try something a little more challenging came up. He was super keen so we made the call to give this a go. The difficulty wasn't what was making us think twice, it was the fact that we were in a 2 door Mercedes coupe which is lower than most cars. Getting through the first gate we were confident we would be fine. Too bad the ditches in the road got a bit too much for the Merc a little further on and for a second I thought we might be stranded in the Paps for the night.
Shattered we couldn't add an extra three caches to our stats and muggle friend really wanted to find MORE but this gives us something to do next year on our annual Melb Cup camping trip. We will come better prepared!!!! Watch this space......

With a novice cacher with me, we ventured into the park, not sure what to expect. After a solid 4WD climb up the hill, what a spectacular view on a glorious Sunday afternoon. But then came the search. My novice cacher found the spot, but missed the pico. I found it without any log inside. Decided to leave a Sistema there with a temporary log in a zip lock bag. Gets a fav point for the view. TFTC
Logging as we found the cache container, but there was no log inside and we didn't have a replacement in the car. Amazing views on the way to the top. Thanks mvyrmnd.
Great view sadly the cache is in need of repair and never brought my doctor kit with me. Thanks for the view.
A nice find on a great sunny day with friends and Geowife. Unable to sign log. View is amazing. Great location. TFTC
Its one of those places you drive past your whole life without giving it much thought.
If it wasn't for geocaching and those in the know, I would never have experienced this place and its magnificent views. Thanks mvyrmnd.

Extensive views, great from the trig as well.
As Bushwalkers driving to the top we were surprised to see 3 young girls with 3 weary dogs having walked to the very top and a lone chap as well. He had left his Subaru outback at the park entrance gate.

My second visit to the Paps and I'm sure I'll be back. Log extraction was looking impossible until josiey found a safety pin.
Wow - great view. Wasn't sure about a pico out in the bush but easy find in the end. It's not getting the log out but getting it back again that absolutely scares me. Made it after SL. TFTC mvyrmnd
Quick find, but log retrieval not so quick - we definitely need that geocachers toolkit! Definitely no 2wds up this track - tftc mvymnd
Out to grab a quick cache and put out a couple more.
Nice view, added a new pic.
Certainly need tools for this, one could be a magnifying glass!

Up here on holiday in Mansfield .up here having a looking at the great views and found that there was cache here so decided to find it . Loved the views from up here TFTC
Yep, the view is Giga and the cache Pico - the road today - well that was another story. Definitely only 4WD after all the rain and the dozer work which has put a layer of mud on top of that solid base! Glad to say we made it safely to GZ with a bit of slipping and sliding and the view was worth the drive. The log was full and very soggy, so we replaced it with a write in the rain log sheet. We sat and ate our lunch and feasted on the view and the peacefulness for about an hour before making our way back to the Main Road. SL at 12.25pm TFTC mvyrmnd and another trip up the Paps - just love this part of Victoria #1685

A scary drive in with the Toyota and stopped at the Y junction below as it look steep and she does not have much ground clearance. On the hike up spotted a massive wombat which was a surprise as it was day light. Suspiring how quickly these guys can move. Awesome views at GZ. Thanks for bringing me here today.

Foggy day, high winds and bitterly cold for our Melbourne visitors The4Loidls. This didn't deter us finding this tiny vessel, occasional glimpses of fantastic view of Ford Arm (Lake Eildon)and surrounding Mansfield district.
Note to mvyrmnd - Vessel very wet inside - note paper wet and also full.

Out and about enjoying the area with Mrs Veddadog & DazRascal today.
We had just been to the top when we realised we had driven past a cache on the way up, so a stop was in order.
We jumped looking for a container before realising we were hunting a nano - extremely nasty!
We were then cursing the owner....who did this....A nano in the bush.....WT...
It turns out to be one of our good friends - so luckily for you we will let this one slide as the views were amazing and the stop was worthwhile.
The log was full, but we squeezed our scribble in with someone else's. We had no replacement supplies with us today - so couldnt fix it up.
Thanks Simo for the cache! A top spot (worthy of a bigger container!) heheh! Sorry for the cheekiness! [:p]

Really, a micro in the bush. Did not expect that from you of all people. Thankfully there are great views up here to take your mind off the size of the cache. I don't think you will get a 2wd up here now track has seen better days.
I have been up this hill before for the multi, but then walked up the front, and down the road. Today we drive up.
The road across the first paddock is crap! The water has damaged it to the extent that it is now a 4WD track (I drove my station wagon up there last time!), and it was the worst part of the whole road.
Apart from that, the view is spectacular! It was a bit smoky around, but still a great view.
But a nano! seriously!
Thanks, Robmc.

# 3297. So, it was you. What a sadist. All the way up I wondered who would hide something at the top of this horrible drive. My knuckles were white and I was just thankful Rob's geo4x4 had brand new tyres with GRIP on them. I wondered who drove up to service the tower at the very top, which was our next stop. Glad to have done them both so I don't have to return. He kept asking me if I was OK. It was a shame it was so smokey today but the views certainly were magnificent. The log is full and we didn't have a replacement with us. TFTC I guess!
Brilliant! We could've spent all day up here soaking in the views. Definitely gonna peg this cache as one of my favourites. Next time it will be lunch rather than a coffee break and certainly stay a lot longer too. Pity we ran out of time otherwise a side trip over to the adjacent hilltop fire lookout where, incidentally, someone took the easy route in by landing a Robinson R44 on top. Certainly a picnic in style that would've been.
TNLN & TFTC that brought us here! Sweet!

Well it was nearly missed but delighted with the find and what views, we decided to stop for a while to enjoy it and take lots of photo's and spied some eagles gliding below us......bonus. Has to be one of my favourite caches, thanks for bringing us to such a magical spot - but I wouldn't like to try it in a 2WD.

Number 19. After heading right to the top, (trig point) we returned to look for the cache. The smallest cache we have ever seen, we missed it but our fellow cachers found it. Thanks to Biggles of OZ with Mrs Biggles. Fantastic views, make that awesome. We stopped for morning tea to take in the unbelievable sights. The best lookout we have ever been to. Definitely 4WD access only. TFTC. TNLN.
Well turns out it is accessible in a 2WD. Not sure I'd recommend it though, the drive was a bit hairy! Great cache in an awesome spot. TFTC.
Went to go, did not have time to walk, suggest that to drive there at the moment is 4wd only track is very washed out. Tftc

We'd been up this road caching once before, and while the 'other' car had made it up last time they declined the journey again and left us to seek it solo....
Last time we were here it was certainly less busy! We had the road to ourselves that time but it was much more sociable today. First the bloke with no sense of gate etiquette (hmm.....), and then a slightly scared looking Golf as our Defender loomed into view on a particularly narrow section of trail, but we backed down and let him squeeze by.
Finally we reached GZ, turned the car around and started searching, soon locating the cache thanks to the hint. Certainly is a tiny one, but the view more than makes up for that! We headed straight to the top last time so didn't take the time to appreciate this one. Great scenery, and a scary drop off just beyond the ridge. Eeks!! Couldn't help but walk as close as I could to the end despite Mum.... I mean ilovedrwho... yelling 'stop!! that's enough!!' behind me...
