Think this one has been destroyed. Found remnants of what looked to once be the cache enclosure.
Due to flooding in the area we ended up passing this area with our muggle driver we managed to get his to stop but unfortunately we were unable to locate this one, hopefully just cache blindness as we watched the coming weather hoping we didn't get flooded in before we got to our destination Hope to return to change this to a smile one day soon, thanks for giving us a reason to stop in this lovely area and for the fun
Thanks for the hide, and what a great camo hide for the cache too. Well done!
Thanks for the cache and information. People need to know how endangered our native flora and fauna are, otherwise we get no opportunity to assist in its preservation.
A photo of the live cache guardian too.
Quite a big female and there is no mistaking it.

Another interesting spot. Great lil hide....being guard by an impressive redback spider. TFTC The Morris
Back logging, I am a shocker for it
Back when the 1st Iso restrictions were being eased, we needed to get out of the house, what better way then to do some caching. Having previously done quite a few caches in whipsticks it was good to tick off a few we were yet to do. TFTC

A quick easy find here this morning after a appointment in Bendigo.
Been on the list to do for along time so today we get the smiley.
Signed log and replaced where found. TFTC

Found this cache but didn’t sign the log book as the cache was full of red backs maybe a different location would be better.
This cache location is full of red back spiders and eggs I didn’t even try and open the cache as There was a huge Red back spider on the container. Think this cache should be moved to another safer location. It is quite dangerous especially with young children.
With Beejules and Geokid. We just went for a drive around the Whipstick. Easy find but be mindful of the beautiful spiders at the cache site. It was so quiet and still today. Very peaceful. TFTC TNLN
On the way backmto school from the Whipstock Environment Centre, too convenient to skip it

Found while in Bendigo for the day with my Clarmensma family (becca85, GemmaSistema, boo09, Ad & Luke). TFTC!
Nice camo.
School holidays yet again, Team Clarmensma (myself, GemmaSistema, boo09, neisha07 & the Sistema boys) jumped in the Prado for some adventures in Bendigo.
An event to start us off, we caches the day away until event #2 and dinner time then decided to keep going by torchlight, not getting home until midnight.
An enjoyable day spend with good company. TFTC

Nice little camo job here. Amazing what you find in the bush.
With the school holidays upon us becca85 and I teamed up with our posse of geokids (AdamSistema, LukeSistema, neisha07 & boo09) to form TeamClarmensma (which we signed the logbook as). We could only manage a day trip so decided to meet in Bendigo and cache up a storm. We started in town before heading out of town towards Whipstick then coming back in. A great day was had with only a few DNFs and some amazing clever containers. Thanks to all the cache owners for their efforts - we really appreciate it.

After we squealed a bit over the cockroach in the hiding spot, we managed to get the container out and do a swap! thank you

We are heading north towards the Barcaldine event and decided to stop in Bendigo last night and then grab a few caches here today and the alphabet series fitted the bill nicely.
We had completed that and were heading for Echuca for the night and decided to try our luck at a few more caches in the forest before we headed back to the highway.
We had solved a couple in the Eucy Run series a long time ago but just haven't seemed to be able to get here to look for the caches so today was perfect for that so we headed that way
We enjoyed the information on the cache page, we knew nothing of Whipstock Westringia before we arrived at this cache, hopefully they will be successful in saving it from extinction.
The cache was found exactly where the GPSr was pointing and our name was added tot he log.
Thanks The Morris for the cache.

Somehow dalerious and I ended up having a day to play at geocaching around Bendigo
We had a blast out in the bush and seeing sights , mines , goldfields and great countryside [^]
11 caches found for the day by me, although I suspoect dalerious may have had a few more finds
As I have been about 8 months behind in logging, I'm resorting to template logs to catch up.
My heartfelt thanks to the COs who have placed some tricky, funny, exercise required, scary, interesting and devious caches in some amazing spots! [^]
Rex and I have had some amazing adventures and enjoyed some incredible moments thanks to this fantastic hobby
I love the bush sights in Victoria [^] and the history and stories of the determination of the pioneers. [^]

After an epic "near miss" hunting our previous smiley, it was sure nice to cap off our days bush bashing by chancing a quick find on this well constructed hide.

Sometimes an "easy find" is appreciated as much as the most challenging head scratcher. [^]

I took the detour to find this cache,
and discover a bit about another endangered plant species
I'm sure most of the locals,
ridin' their ground shreddin' dirt bike,
or drivin' their ground shreddin' 4WD's,
or even forming new tracks as they illegally cut down timber to sell at the roadside,
would care if this plant disappeared
Up against such odds,
I do hope there is good news for this plant
Though if you fence off an area to protect it,
the drongoes mentioned above,
automatically will feel the need to tear it down,
and drive on in
Way of the modern world I think !!

well a nice day for a drive through the bush. saw some metal detecting going on further back in the forest. the cache is wet and has a few redbacks as guards.
Loved reading about the species. I live close by and never heard about the enclosure! Good hiding spot unfortunately it has seen better days, a little rusted and weathered.
How good is it that rare plants are being protected like this so they have a chance to survive. Thanks for highlighting this conservation measure A fav point from me TFTC The Morris
Found with geomum 'bootsforwalking'. Such a clever container. The log and swaps were very damp unfortunately but we were able to sign the log. TFTC
Good cache but it unfortunately has been badly affected by water/rain and maybe needs a check -new container or something like it.
Quick find and another red_backed spider sitting on the cache. Must be a good breeding ground here in the forest. TFTC
The log book is quite damp, a fair bit of moisture has found it's way into the container, might need a little attention
It was road trip time and three days traveling and caching was quickly planned. An early morning start and the first location was Mt Buller. From Mt Buller I headed to Bookham in NSW and stayed there the night before hitting the Endangered Species series of caches, starting early the next morning. Heading South West I stopped at Gundagai to visit a 'dog', continued through Walla Walla and Urana before crashing just out of Berrigan. The third day I continued west to Echuca then south through Bendigo and the final stretch for home.
The weather was good on day one but later that night it started to rain and continued for the next two days. Needless to say I did get quite wet on occasions, and some of the country roads I followed where no place for a 2WD, the Prado would slip and slide but luckily kept moving forward. By then end of the trip there was another 1800 km on the clock, 239 cache finds, 2 DNFs and 5 FTF's just to top it off. Thanks to all the CO's for the caches I found and the places they brought me to.
The GPS lead me straight to GZ but I have to admit I wandered in circles for a while before discovering the cache was right where the GPS indicated. A clever hide and thanks The Morris.

Caching in a large group today thanks for the cache and the interesting information.
Caching today with ST37E, McLookers, Motndarg, The Tritonz and Wozzle 68. A very quick find by ST37E. He does that a lot! Thanks for the hide.
Up in the Bendigo area today with McLookers, Glanville Girls, Motndarg, Wozzle68 and ST37E picking up some solved puzzles and trads along the way. ST37E made the quick find today and we all had the log signed ready to head off for the next cache.

Hooray, it's Pi Day. That's 3.14.15 in Yankee date format for those of you that didn't know.
To claim one of those precious souvenirs from GC I had to find a mystery cache on this date. Well, the closest unfound mystery cache was about 80km from home so that and a few others had a visit from me today.
After a failure at a puzzle just east of here I was glad this was a quick find. The log book is quite damp and, being early evening, it was not going to dry in the cooling air.
Thank you for the cache Robyn

Nice easy find on the way home from a family BBQ in the scrub.
Find made a bit too obvious because Goecoin VLHZ1P was laying on the ground beside the cache hiding spot. If somebody has lost this coin then this is where it ended up as it is not listed as a trackable for this cache.

Being on holidays what a better way to spent a day than planning a caching day and to head north of Bendigo.
This ended up being a day of 42 finds, way over what I expected and almost 400ks travelled (a lot of back tracking and some getting lost in the bush, But the GPSr did say there was a road there!)
this cache had me looking high and low, for the life of me I could not find it. I headed back to the ute and grabbed the my phone to see where it had GZ and it was in the same spot. WHAT where is this thing.
after a bit more of a search the situation became the biggest forehead slap moment.
An interesting cache to highlight the area.

Found it before reading the description and was pondering why this spot? Then I kept reading.. thanks for the info and highlighting this gully. A quality cache, Thanks too the Morris.
Well I resisted the temptation of doing any herbivore browsing up here. Can't risk these endangered specimens!
The hide was of a quality that I have come to expect from these caching veterans. The log a tad damp inside but easily writable.

Suscoe's 31st find of 36 for today as we headed out to the North West and North in the great company of our mate Bushfire.
This was to be a full day of wandering about clearing up many caches together.
We had a great time and enjoyed the terrific country side that we passed through.
Well this was really interesting to find out about and we were pleased to stop and learn about the work being done here.
It is nice to see the efforts being taken to look after the Westringia.
Thanks to The Morris for placing this cache here, a nice bit of work.

In Bendigo for a few days to add some smileys on as many mysteries, multi's and a few traditionals. Plus a few caches needed for my A to Z challenge.
I really enjoyed our visit to this area and hope they survive but good to see that they now have a better chance.
Thanks to The Morris for having the idea and knowledge to show others.

I loved the cache, very clever hide. Muggle Hubby examined the fenced off area and could not find samples of the endangered vegetation, but then he really didn't know what he was looking for. On the other hand I did, I found, I signed and left it in better condition than I found it
Had to come to Bendigo for an appointment. Made time to grab some caches as well.

Can't believe I almost missed it! Had the other half in the car who somehow doesn't enjoy geocaching, he was getting antsy shouting that my time was up! I eventually located the hide, quickly signed log and then tricked him into driving me down the road to another hahaha! TFTC a favourite point from me!

Found it on the way home to Bendigo after visiting a friend at Tennyson Rd. The cache was well hidden Very quite area though TFTC
Found after a short day at work, enjoyable being out in the whipstick. Cache container was half full of water which was emptied. The log was dry though so was able to make my mark. Thanks to the morris for the cache.
Found by Roma amd Max.
It is a pleasure to find more caches being placed in this lovely Whipstick Forest, and today the weather was perfect for a very enjoyable drive in this environment.
This was also a significant find for us, one we are unlikely to repeat!
The purpose for the enclosure was interesting but what a pity vandalism is evident even out here with the information signs being peppered with shotgun pellets.
These firearms are supposed only to be in the hands of licenced folk like farmers and sports persons, so it is disappointing that there appears to be vandals in all walks of life.
However, thank you Robyn, Chad and Janaya for placing a decent sized container in such a pretty place with accurate numbers and well camo'ed.
Cheers,
from Romax.
