Found with BlackOpal2005 after the wonderful SideTracked event at the miniature railway in Eltham. Found after a short search. My thanks to stagetree for the cache.
I have ridden past the cache many times so it was nice to finally make the find!
Tricky retrieval here! In town for the SideTracked event and chased a couple of new LGAs while here. Tftc.
Out caching with Lumpyjrb, thanks for the information, and a nice little walk. Took a bit to get the cache out. Thanks for the cache.

Danke fr diesen Geocache. Danke fr die Ausarbeitung. Danke frs Zeigen.Lieber Gru aus Duisburg / DeutschlandAndyDieser Logeintrag wird mit Hilfe von Google bersetzt.__________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________We set off on a long journey with 37 geocachers from Germany, Denmark, Luxembourg and Switzerland. Three weeks to Australia and New Zealand, starting with a stopover in Doha, Qatar. I have never been so long and so far away from home. An exciting time. When geocaching, the focus was on many different cache types, but also special ratings, challenges and especially a few very old caches from the years 2000 and 2001. But also, of course, especially the geocaches that were easily accessible on foot from the hotel.Of course, the focus wasn't just on geocaching; the sights of the individual stations we visited also deserved attention. We entered our team name Downunder 2024 in the logbooks, saving logbook space and efficiently. It was a very special trip in a large team, which was also a lot of fun.Today we went on nice excursions around the Melbourne area.Due to the large number of caches, there is usually only one standard log, for which I would like to apologize to the different owners. Thanks for this geocache. Thanks for the elaboration. Thank you for showing me.Kind regards from Duisburg / GermanyAndy
We have traveled with 36 likeminded geocachers to Australia and New Zealand resulting in lots of opportunities for sightseeing and geocaching. The logbooks were mostly signed under the teamname "Team DownUnder24" and answers were sent to owners for the group, as appropriate. This has been a great trip with a multifold of new impressions and experiences.During our stay in Melbourne we had also the opportunity to visit some caches. This cache was today amng our finds. Thanks for leading us here and showing and thanks for the cache.
Together with 37 Cachers, we start a journey to Australia and New Zealand via Doha.In Qatar we spent one night and had almost one full day before heading to Sydney. In Australia we visit the cities of Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide and Cairns. In New Zealand will be Aukland, Rotorua, Wellington, Blenheim, Christchurch, Dunedin and Queenstown. To safe Logbook space, we signed the logbooks with our team-name "DownUnder24".Our Teammembers are:\_gc_, AmoebeST, AndyausDu, B@cker-1, Biggidag, Brummelbren, CacheTaucher, cooljo, Fotopinguin, Freizeit-Tina, Gazelle5111, GEO Karen, GoanToni, Hfi1, hupsi-1, karrai*, Leilah03, lenny love, Lupus54, Maxipimpf, muschel3, Ollilein, Opaundenkel, penalty96, Rheins, Simowl, sozioma, Sr. Elli, Team Zyanor, viko76, Webmasterrollerin, Whlhase, XenSuoThank you for the Cache.
Together with 36 other geocachers, the KiSt team undertook a very long trip to Australia ???? and New Zealand ???? for three weeks. On both the outward and return journeys, there was a stopover in Doha, the capital of Qatar ????.We experienced a great deal on this trip and gained many very different impressions of the two countries, their nature and their culture. Of course, the main focus was on visiting as many caches of as many different types as possible and also all accessible old cans. However, we also made sure to visit many special places of interest and to gain as comprehensive an impression as possible of nature and its flora and fauna. To save the logbooks, we usually signed in with our team name **Downunder24**. For "special" cans, however, we have not missed the opportunity to leave our nickname as well. This beautiful cache is now also one of our finds.Due to the large number of caches visited, it is unfortunately not possible for us to write an individual log for each can, which is why we would like to apologize to the owners for this collective log.We also met other cachers at some of the events and were able to share our experiences. Many thanks to the event owners!Of course we would like to thank all the owners for showing us the great locations, the sometimes tricky puzzles, exciting multis and wherigos, as well as the interesting virtuals and earth caches - TFTC!!!---In der Besetzung KiSt unternahmen wir zusammen mit 36 weiteren Geocachern fr drei Wochen eine sehr weite Reise nach Australien ???? und Neuseeland ????.
Fifth day in Australia ??. This is my first visit to this extraordinary continent and the fulfillment of a long-cherished dream. In the past, it always failed due to the lack of a travel companion. Now I had the chance to join a large group of mainly German geocachers and I was delighted to take it. Of course WWWandering took us to this area. To say otherwise would probably be a lie ??. On the way there, we also passed this tradi. The container couldn't hide for long from so many searching eyes ?? and now our names are in the logbook. Thank you for placing & taking care .Fnfter Tag in Australien ??.

New Zealand ????, two goals for me so far unattainable that I can now remove from my spoon list thanks to the best hobby in the world.Where can you find 37 enthusiastic travel participants with the same interest?Exactly, at Cacher-Reisen??.And so we are here and explore the cities, landscapes and beautiful nature. As a group, we register in the logbooks with Downunder2024 to save space or not to blow up the email account. Many different cache types are on our list, the old cans from 2000/2001 to fill the Jasmer or even to close the last gaps. Here, a great variety is offered in both.T4t$ says viko76 from Berlin/ Germany

# 21433Whau, I am on a three week trip with Cacher-Reisen and a bunch of fellow geocachers to Australia and New Zealand. It is so odd to imagine that I am going to visit a place that is nearly on the opposite of the globe from my usual hangouts. In Denmark it is late winter/early spring, and I am exchanging the winter-part for late summer in Australia and early autumn in New Zealand. This is so exciting. The itinerary is Frankfurt (Germany), Doha (Qatar), Sydney, Melbourne, Cairns (Australia) and Auckland, Rotorua, Wellington, Blenheim, Christchurch, Dunedin, Cromwell, Queenstown (New Zealand) before flying back to Europe. That will be two new continents and three new countries for me - and as far away from home as I have ever been. It is a lot of places and travelling, but we also have a plan to find lots of geocaches and see the sights and beautiful nature. For our last day in Melbourne the travel company had rented a bus and we had the opportunity to get a little further away to find some old caches. I have completed my Jasmer (twice), but I always enjoy finding the old caches. They are usually placed at some nice and unique places with beautiful sights and views. That was also the case today with these oldies.I don't remember thinking about the Venus transits in 2012, but it appears to be around the time when a colleague tried to convince me to take up geocaching. What an odd thing to do, but now almost 12 years later it has brought me to Australia (and later New Zealand) which I probably never would have visited had it not been for geocaching.Tak for cachen til stagetree.
Visiting Melbourne for three days in a group of Geocachers and signing logbooks with "Team DownUnder24".Thanks for hiding and maintaining the cache. Greetings from Germany, Biggidag
A group of 38 geocachers from Germany, Denmark, Luxembourg and Switzerland - Team Downunder24 - are traveling for 22 days from Frankfurt/Main via Doha to Australia and New Zealand. Three weeks 3 travel with a group of 38 people through Australia and New Zealand . We want to discover some old geocaches, wants to see lots of sightseeing-points , but also animals such as penguins, turtles , whales , Koalas , dolphins and much more in the beautiful water or on land . Of course, a cacher trip also includes many geocaches. So we also chose this cache Transit of Venus, searched for it, found it and logged it . He has made our journey through two wonderful countries very embellished. We often logged with our group name "Team Downunder 2024".Thanks to stagetree for laying and maintaining this geocache, say the Brummelbren from Worms/Germany
After arriving in Melbourne we (Team DownUnder24) dicovered the very interesting city and surroundings by looking for some caches. "Transit of Venus" was one of them and we could find it. All was in good condition. Thanks stagetree for showing that place

NICE HIDE! I really thought it was lost to the elements but upon further investing we found it. TFTC
Easy find it was a good challenge. I think it could use more camouflage. But either way 10/10
Thanks to the previous finders for their helpful but not spoiling suggestions. Devilish spot. TFTC!
As per my username astronomy is my second hobby. I remember the 2004 and 2012 transits of Venus very well. For 2012 I took my telescope to my daughter's school to demo it. Now she would be too cool for that. Or geocaching. Cache an easy find but well hidden and hard to get out of the hidey hole. Got there eventually. Great view over the river too. Thanks.
So good to turn a blue sad face to a yellow smiley! With the aid of a makeshift tott and some bloody minded determination, the cache was retrieved. TFTC!
Found it after some searching. The padlocks on the railing and the ankle height hints were helpful.
Took us a while to figure this one out... nice hide, got us thinking. Cheers
Nice discreet hide - straight forward find while out stretching my legs and collecting a few caches in this area.
This was a short stroll from our parking spot, which we may not have been allowed to park at. Plenty of people saw us, but none questioned us. The cache was well hidden, which i missed on my first sweep. Stood back and thought about it for a moment, and guessed the location. Nice hide, and interesting topic. TFTC.
Very clever! Almost recorded a DNF The hint is accurate, just got to think a bit more about the structure and how it could be hidden. Once I got IN TOUCH with my lateral thinking brain, I found it.
TFTC had a good idea where to find it, but the phone went flat so spent a little longer to narrow down. Cache in good condition.
Wow, eventually found it!! Great spot but beware the muggles! Dumbo also says ‘Hi’.
