### **OWNER MAINTENANCE REQUESTED PLEASE** ###

----------

Hi there Cache Owner,

This cache has been flagged by Geocaching HQ as a cache that **possibly** needs some attention. You may recall having received an automated email from Geocaching HQ which explained what you needed to do.

Unfortunately, nothing seems to have happened, so the cache is being temporarily disable - see here: [**Geocache Health Score.**](https://www.geocaching.com/help/index.php?pg=kb.chapter&id=38&pgid=713)

**You do need to respond in some way within 14 days,** so others know you are on top of it, as well as indicating exactly what is happening with this placement - please don't let a lack of communication scuttle this listing.

#What you need to do:-#
You have a number of choices so pick the one that applies from this handy list:-

- **Check On The Cache** - once checked, place an Owner Maintenance log and then enable the cache.

- **Place A Write Note Log** - indicating a date when you expect it will be restored.

- **Adopt Out or Archive** - depending on whether you want it kept or for it to disappear.

Full details for each of the above choices can be found at [**GEOCACHE MAINTENANCE**]( https://wiki.groundspeak.com/display/GEO/Victoria) on the Regional Policies page.

You might wonder what happens if you don't pick one of the above. Well, when the cache is next checked by a Reviewer, if the issue has not been addressed, or there is no acknowledgment as requested above, it will be assumed the cache has been abandoned. [xx(]

It would be far better if you decide, so please do something before then. Please don't send an email but instead follow the information/advice posted above.

Thanks for your cooperation,

Bunjil (Pete & Helen)

Whole of GZ and surroundings has been gutted and renovated for the train staton works

26-Feb-23
We believe GZ is now in a new construction zone and is not accessible.

31-Aug-22
Could not find the answer to Q1 - AB as the sign for it doesn't seem to be there anymore. Still, found all other clues. And deduced the GZ, however, due to works currently happening in this area, was unable to obtain Sad

10-May-22
Enjoyed the walk around town - shame not all the original buildings exist still, their architecture is so much nicer than the present day ones. Lots of construction fencing up at GZ and lots of muggles at building to the side so wasn't able to suss this our for long- have listed this a a DNF will try again once either construction is clear or I hear back from the CO.

04-Apr-21
This would have to be one of the longest multi's I've done in a while. Glad I took photos of the signs on the walk, because I thought that I may have got a question wrong. At Gz the solved co-ords still had me in the middle of the road Hmm. Widened my search and found a nicely camouflaged cache. Log was absolutely saturated. Maybe a cap on the end will keep the water out. Tftc

04-Apr-21
After traipsing around collecting the required information we had our own ‘remember when...’ conversations as we went. Multis aren’t really our forte but we decided to give this one a crack. I’m so glad we did because it was really enjoyable. Logbook/cache needs some love. Tftc

03-Apr-21
While walking around we talked about some of our awesome adventures and the laughs we had listening to my Grandfather remembering things. I bet he’ll always remember the Tanami road trip we took him on!! Tftc

20-Jan-21
It was a terrific tour of the town that took us back in time. Thanks 'dad' for the history lesson. When we made our way to GZ, things didn't work out quite as easily. After a slight misread of the hint, we spent a long time looking at it from the wrong angle. Eventually we worked out where we needed to be. Despite this, it still took us ages to find the cache. In fact, I had discarded it as a possibility about 20 minutes earlier. It was only desperation that had me look at it again.
Thanks Cache-eyes and Crisp Image for a fantastic tour and the very tricky hide.
Chiefton!!!

03-Aug-20
Will try another day

14-Jul-20
Solved this one a few weeks ago but had teenage muggles near GZ so now I'm on holidays at the moment I revisited the area and surprised myself when I found this excellent hide quickly TFTC

29-Jun-20
Had been chipping away at this for some time, loved learning the history of some of the places around town, a nice tricky hide at the final GZ. The log sheet was rather wet but managed to sign my name. Thanks for the history tour.

30-Dec-18
It looks like the info board at the first waypoint has been removed after the shopping centre's renovations, so I can't get a good lock on GZ yet (though I have narrowed it down at least). This one will have to be a work in progress for me for the time being.

What was to have been a quick weekend trip to Melbourne to accompany leafotwind on his 3,000th cache find Cool (since I had also recently completed the Victorian Premiers whereigo Smile) became an 8 day trip because there was a CITO [^] at Traralgon the next day which then led to Mallacoota SurprisedCool and the Snowy Mountain Highway Cool[^] since I couldn't legally use the Great Alpine Road as I didn't have snow chains SurprisedTwisted because the boring freeway back to Melbourne and then back to Shepparton didn't sound like fun SadRazz

The first day, I met my sister in Bendigo Cool as she waited for her semi to be unloaded and reloaded, so we went op shopping in the meantimeBig Grin[:X]Cool From there it was off to Melbourne and the group find of the Victorian Premiers whereigo which had taken me to many spots in Victoria Big GrinCool[^] Then the group slogged our way up a slippery, muddy slope [|)][xx(]SurprisedTwisted to get a couple of simple drive by 4 x 4 caches (when the tracks are open) before caching on into the night CoolBig Grin

I made a find on a previous Sad DNF at Moe Cool then it was off to Clean Up a Creek at Traralgon [^] followed by finding some bloody good caches Cool (both containers and reasons for placement) around the area with leafotwind, NoWorries andAlphaDeltaIndigo Big Grin[:X], chatting to Crisp image as the group found Wherever I Lay My Hat CoolSmile before Rex and I left the group, walking in the Crinigan Road Bushland Reserve at dusk[^]Smile, seeing a huge Surprised Dr21 dredger once used for coal mining and now placed at Morwell, finding a tiny grave in the middle of a shopping area Sad, finding my 1st 3D printed cache container Cool and then it was off to the Lakes Entrance area and wandering out on the peninsulaSmileCool[^]

Seeing old RAAF airfields and radio bunkersCool, seeing tiny country towns and meeting some great people Smile (including an almost muggle woman and her children in Mallacoota where she had previously looked for 1 cache and who may now get into geocaching properly Cool[^]), seeing the sun rise while surrounded by kangaroos Smile and standing on the eastern coast of Vic Cool and chatting with Rollmatrix throughout my time in Mallacoota and Genoa SmileBig Grin

Spending a few hours chatting with a lovely truckie, Michael [:X], who was on a wood chip run to Canberra as we traversed the countryside in the dark (after I had apologised for slowing down his fully laden rig as Harry crawled his way up a hill Red FaceWink) then I pulled into Cooma for a break and an EC and also found a cache, Southern Cloud, about the aircraft accident Sad and then accidentally ended up at another memorial cache, Southern Comfort, Southern Cloud or Southern Storm, later on in the trip SurprisedCool

As I am about 8 months behind in logging, I'm resorting to template logs to catch up. Sad

I solved this one a few days ago and had a couple of quick looks for it after work, but after my caching partner asked for a hint (we’ve both been here several times to look) and found it I realised I didn’t have a hope of finding it, I hadn’t touched and it and it wasn’t really what I was looking for! I have no idea what the clue is about, perhaps it applied to the old footbridge but it doesn’t made sense for this one: Thanks for an awesome cache, I had fun. Funny how I’ve never even noticed those signs in the Main Street before!

So this cache has been a thorn in my side for such a long time, after reading the cache description I had a fair idea of where GZ was, being familiar with the area.. However locating this cache was a completely different story. Be careful poking around areas as there is discarded syringes in the area.

A few visits to GZ had me coming up empty handed and I thought "maybe I should do the multi to confirm the co-ordinates" but luckily for me, my caching partner's new found love of multis helped confirm I was in the right area.. So, another search was fruitless.. After finally admitting defeat and contacting the cache owner for an extra hint I finally had the cache in hand.. I can see why I missed it, this cache is very well made and very well hidden. Well done for hiding this cache.

4th time lucky and I finally found this one today. I knew I was at gz and had my hands on it many times but it eluded me... until today. Got you you little bugger. Amazing hide. TFTC

Was a very hot afternoon but after having lunch between the way points we went for a stroll. Enjoyed learning about the history of Traralgon, looking at the old photos and looked for a place for dinner.
After getting to the last way point we realised we missed WP1 and retraced our steps.
Got to gz and using the hint started looking and couldn't see anything from the bridge. Co-ords were in the middle of the road so I threw a boy up the tree across the road and he couldn't see anything. Was way to hot, the tradie was starting to wonder what we were doing and we all gave up.
Looking at the logs, sent a msg to the local "Billy_Shears" and I can't thank him enough for the hints and information he gave. He gave enough information to ensure we were looking in the exact right spot but without giving away the well hidden hide.
After having dinner at Oriental Jade we strolled down after dust to take another look and using the torch saw something not right and found the well hidden cache container.
Thanks for the cache Cache-eyes and Crisp Image, however I would suggest updating the co-ords and hint.

Found the coords after a great history lesson, reading the logs i recon I'm but in the right spot but no luck so far finding the cache, definately try again, maybe this arvo

09-Apr-16
I had hoped to do several caches on the way to the event today but had dipped out on all of them for various reasons. I had set aside the time to do this one and everything fell into place until GZ. Like others have found the GPS had me in some tarmac but was pretty close to an obvious search location. I found a set-square tool if anyone has lost one, and not much else for a while.

Before leaving I tried one last spot and saw something suspicious, which turned out to be a very good cache hide. My GPS was saying quite some distance and I have to say that part of the hint actually does not apply. Otherwise this one would get a favourite.

22-Nov-15
I hate these caches I always end up with the wrong answer. After doing the walk and the sums
I ended up in the middle of the road like some in the comments that I read. After reading some
more I widened my search finding the little fellow where I had checked before not seeing
what I was looking at. Thanks Cache_eyes and Crisp Image FTC.

19-Oct-15
check cache this while waiting for Blue Bay F&C.
All is fine.

02-Aug-15
Hooray, found at last. We travelled up by train from the Mornington Peninsula especially to get this one as my previous attempt turned up a DNF. We rechecked the the coords from previous and still came up with the same results. Still in the middle of the road.
A clue to do a wider search helped. We sorted of knew where we should be looking and sure enough a little fiddle and there it was. Relief. Log signed, pic taken ( not downloading as it would give it away) and safely tucked away again. No muggles as it was a very cold and breezy Sunday.
An excellent cache and history lesson.

Dunny 14 and I tried to find this tonight, we are still stuck as to wear its hidden....... I think we are close but just not close enough ... Sad so frustrating.... might need more hints

Found it with assistance from Billy_Shears... Otherwise I'd still be looking in the middle of the road. tftc

MAINTENANCE REQUIRED?
[navy]A wet log is not reason to place a NA log, but an unresponsive CO is.

This cache would appear to be in need of owner intervention, therefore I am temporarily disabling it so as to stop it showing up on search lists and to give the owner an opportunity to check on the cache, and take whatever action is necessary.

Geocache maintenance is a cache owner responsibility. Your prompt attention to any log that indicates things could be amiss will be greatly appreciated by all geocachers, see here http://www.geocaching.com/about/guidelines.aspx#cachemaintenance
The guidelines advise; if you can't fix it straight away then Disable it till you can . . . . . . . and here's how; http://support.groundspeak.com/index.php?pg=kb.page&id=235 . . . . . . . . . . I have disabled it for you this time! [^]

Please respond to this situation by 20th July to prevent the cache from being archived for non-responsiveness. Sad

If you require more time, please be sure to post a "Write Note" log (not an email) explaining the situation and how much more time you require.

For ongoing issues please ensure you visit the page and post a note every 28 days so as to keep everyone up to date, or the cache will be treated as an abandoned cache and archived without further notice.

And don't forget, once you have addressed the issue, post both an "Owner Maintenance" log, see here; http://support.groundspeak.com/index.php?pg=kb.page&id=404 and an "Enable Listing" log, see here; https://support.groundspeak.com/index.php?pg=kb.page&id=235 to get your cache up and running again.[/navy]

Hi Bunjil
I thought I selected "needs maintenance".
I'm not sure why my last listing was "needs archiving" ...
It doesn't need archiving .. it just has a soggy log book again.
sorry for any confusion ....
I'm not even sure where the "needs maintenance" selection has gone in the drop down list?
.
sorry for any confusion ....

MESSAGE TO BUNJIL, CRISP IMAGE AND CACHE-EYES
Hi everyone,
I’m aware that CRISP IMAGE replaced the log book for Dad Remembers When on 13/6/2015.
With a clue from CRISP IMAGE I then found the cache on 15/6/2015. The NEW log book was already damp.

15-Jun-15
Found with J and N.
After searching many times .... without success .....
My final calculated GZ was on the middle of the road.
I asked for some help.
A clue got us over the line.
This is a sneaky hide.

The log was replaced by Crisp image as it was wet.

We done the first half this cache in the wrong order.
Then had lunch at the shopping center, then done the finding.

It took a bit of searching, The GPS was taking me to the road nearby.
Great container, and nice hiding. (Fav point)

The log is a bit damp.

Out caching with SQAU & Comback.
Thank you for the hide Cache-eyes and Crisp Image

Thanks for bring me here and cache.

Started this one along time ago but had no luck at GZ with my calculations having me not quite where I needed to be. Very early this morning on a return drive from the airport I called in for a break just to wake myself up really. Found the sucker after expanding my search area. Nice hide Smile Glad to have this one done and dusted. Sorry for the late log but it was very early(2am) and I thought I might have just dreamt that I found it lol.. Thanks Cache-eyes for setting this interesting multi up.

Catching up with late logs
We were in town to do the fireworks for the Traralgon Show tonight and being ready nice and early Mrs Crackers decided to go for a walk into town to attempt this multi. It was very pleasant walking around looking for all the information getting a closer look at the area.
The co-ords were entered and a stroll was taken to gz where the cache proved to be elusive and it was only after a PAF for some help where we able to find the cache and add our name to the log
Thanks for the cache

Found finally after a hint from Crisp Image, love the hide, very clever

FINALLY!!! Kato Potato and I have made five or six separate attempts at this cache over the past few weeks and today was the day thanks to a nudge in the right direction from the CO. We had read every log several times, turned over rubbish, bricks, debris, moved bitumin, swivelled, pushed, pulled, dug, everything! The hint threw us for six but we did at least know we were at the right gz. Seriously clever hide Cache-eyes, you're a tricky one. TFTC!

09-Jul-14
Well after 4 solid searches of the gz with kyabbott over the past month we have finally laid this mystery to rest with a very handy tip from Crisp Image (many thanks for this helping hand!). Finally the hint about the bitumen makes sense!! Very clever hide and definitely a learning curve on the whole gps accuracy stakes. Huge thanks for the cache and the challenge and very happy to knock this one off. Cache is in good nick and definitely still there for those still searching.

This is the third time I've been on the hunt for this one but it still eludes me.... Please can someone check to see if it's still available?? Thank you

Went with yuk yuk and muggle wives. Loved the history side and the clues. Spent an hour and a half at final co ord without luck. As it hasn't been sighted for over a year, I wonder if cache-eyes could check to make sure it is there.

02-Mar-14
Did the tour yesterday but ran out of time at GZ to find the sneaky hide before heading back to the mine last night.
Came back this morning before flying out and still could not find it.
Turns out it could not be spotted due to some overspill of bitumen.
I paffed a previous finder and the owner and eventually came up with the devious hide.
Would never have found it without specific information, which you now don't need as it is more visible.
I am logging this after some others have dnfd this, so all I can say is that it is there and need to look a little closer. It is now visible.
Thanks for another tour of your fair city.
Thanks mate till next time.

Yay, our first cache for 2013! Had a go at this one when it was new and three devices put us in the middle of a road between two likely places! Had a quick look however there were too many options, so we gave up, thinking we had made a mistake with the maths.

Completed the walk again at a much later date and despite all of the groaning and muttering, the GPSrs kept pointing to much the same location. Not to be beaten we widened our search, then widened our search again and again. And came up with nothing!! I had turned things, pulled others, looked in numerous crevices and even in and under planter boxes to no avail. With my geocaching intuition I thought I knew where it should be.

So we had an opportunity to have another crack at it this evening so went back without the GPSr. After a little frustation we hit the jackpot. We really enjoyed the walk (twice) but not the hide. You are definitely as sneaky as your father Cache-eyes. [:(!]
Thanks for an excellent cache. And yes we are old enough to remember a few of those locations also.

28-Nov-12
I gathered the required information this morning and after assessing the possible multi GZ's narrowed the choice down to one. I had a quick look at GZ but there were too many muggles around so I left unsure of whether I was looking in the right place or not. I questioned the CO at the Meet and greet event, he confirmed I was on the money, just had to look harder. I found the cache on my return visit, nice work!

Thanks for the cache Cache-eyes and Crisp Image.

28-Nov-12
Having parted company with mbl&k for the day, I was still on trail of a couple more of the mutlis in town. This was first and although I had a little trouble interpreting one of the answers, I was finally off to GZ for a look. It took a few moments to hone in on the stash but I finally spotted the clever hide at 16:25.

An interesting tour of the town Big Grin.

TNLNSL, although our BYO pen geocoin had a visit to mark the occasion. Thanks Cache-eyes and Crisp Image.

Found by Mary & David at 1335. Managed to get all the information during a quick walk around the waypoints before the "Meet and Greet" Event. Only time for a quick but unsuccessful look around GZ, though, before we went off to the Event. Picked up some valuable intel while we were there, so returned afterwards for another look. Even so, still took a little while to home in on the cleverly disguised container. We both often talk about our Dads, and now it is quite strange when our adult children come out with some memory of what David once said. Now we treasure the little ones asking for Grandad's help. Our thanks to Cache-eyes and Crisp Image.

25-Nov-12
After an enjoyable wander around town the GZ proved too tricky and we abandoned the search after about half an hour. To return another time.

13-Nov-12
We've lived in this area for too long too count, and have never noticed the historical signs around the streets. Thanks for making us stop and pay attention to our surroundings. Having just completed Heavenly Creatures before thus one, we have caught up on quite a bit of local history.
The hide is quite clever, and we really appreciate the effort you have put in to both the journey and the hide. Love your work.
Even better for us is that we have once again beaten our caching mates KI Bug for a local find.

We had time to spare in Traralgon today waiting for a hospital appointment. The walk around town picking up the required information went well but WP2 (answer 3) was a bit confusing and had a couple of answers. The final position was worked out and off we went. The area around GZ was very busy with lots of muggle traffic, we had to be patient. Eventually, we located the well hidden cache.

Well done cache-eyes, a well put together cache. A favourite from us.

Found @ 1640Hrs

I saw this just before lunch time today. I had to wait till about 1600Hrs before I could go and have a look for it. I must admit, whilst I waited for that time to come, I Googled most of the answers and guessed the rest.

I arrived at GZ and it was very overcast and just starting to rain. GPSr was bouncing around and pointing me in all directions, so I turned it off and said to myself "Self where would I hide it" I looked up, down and around for about 30mins. I was heading back to the car thinking I may have to go and have a look at the WP's for the answers that I had guessed at; when I thought it's got to be there somewhere! So I went to have one more look.
This time I put my hand right on it. I went back to the car to sign the log, as I unrolled it I was wondering who's name was going to be on there, I was surprised to see that it was blank.... I gladly signed the log as a FTF.

TFTC Cache-eyes, I know I did it sort of the easy way, I did do a bit of reading on the history of the buildings to obtain the answers.
The hide was excellent and had me going for while.
