### **OWNER MAINTENANCE REQUIRED?** ###
A basic tenet of geocaching is that the cache log needs to be signed to record a find, see here; [Logging of All Physical Geocaches.](http://www.geocaching.com/about/guidelines.aspx#logging ) At the moment this would seem to be extremely difficult if not impossible to meet that requirement in regard to this cache.
Prompt attention by cache owners to any log that indicates anything could be amiss is greatly appreciated by all seekers. The guideline advises; ***"if you can't check/fix it straight away then Disable it till you can."*** see here: [Owner is responsible for visits to the physical location,](http://www.geocaching.com/about/guidelines.aspx#cachemaintenance ) and here's how; [Temporarily Disable and Enable,](http://support.groundspeak.com/index.php?pg=kb.page&id=235) also check out this Blog: [Helpful Tips To Keep In Mind As A Geocache Owner.](http://www.geocaching.com/blog/2015/03/you-hid-your-first-geocache-now-what/)
Please respond to this situation by **21st June** to prevent the cache from being archived for non-responsiveness. If you require more time, please be sure to post a "Write Note" log (not an email) explaining the situation and how much more time you require.
**And don't forget,** once you have addressed the issue, post both an "Owner Maintenance" log, see here; [Removing the Needs Maintenance Icon](http://support.groundspeak.com/index.php?pg=kb.page&id=404) and an "Enable Listing" log, see here; [Temporarily Disable and Enable](https://support.groundspeak.com/index.php?pg=kb.page&id=235 ) to get your cache up and running again.

The contraption at ground zero was an important clue... and one which reaped rewards when NoonaB said "there's something in that-"
The rest is history. As for the contraption; for years I'd assumed they were for delivering goods across rivers in flood, I'd never been directly questioned as this cache does! My answer, people build them so that in case they ever run away and join the circus they'll already know how to walk the tightrope.
Oh, and the log REALLY needs replacing. Thanks for the find

Found today on a caching day with Scarletlake14. While scarletlake was busy taking artyfarty shots of the bridge I got on with the important stuff. Climbed the fence via a very appropriate step and proceeded to look. GPS had me way off where I thought it would be but I entertained it. It finally settled back where it was supposed to be and we proceeded to look for the sneaky hide. After a while I spotted it and made the extraction... I used my tiniest writing and managed to get our names in there but the log is completely full. I have attached a needs maintenance to this log. Thanks for bringing us here, a very cool looking bridge.
**Like a few others before us we found this cache half way down the drop in the dirt and the magnet was missing. We have put it back where we think it might have been but the CO may have to come and check on this hide. SL. Great old bridge to visit and to take photos of. Thanks for making us stop. TFTC. Cheers.**
After a spectacular few days in the high country we headed across to Heathcote for another awesome few days and now we're only our way home. What a great bridge!! Tftc
Found while some muggles were down by the river fishing. Awesome old bridge. Cigc. Tftc
Cool bridge!! I've not been this way before!! It took us longer to take photos than it did to find the cache!! tftc
I love this old bridge. It wasapparently supposed to go over the Yarra River, but instead finished up here. Just as well or it may have been replaced by now if it had been built there. Thanks for giving me an excuse to come by it again. Easy find as cache in full view as magnet missing. Tftc tigersden
5881 Found by baby&Mrs gopher at 1310 on the last leg of the trip back to The Rock NSW after The Surf Coast Mega at Anglesea. This was found on the ground some distance down the drop. Looked for some time before the Mrs located the container. The magnet is gone. We replaced it where we think it had been. SL Tnx tigersden
Spending this glorious spring (finally!) day caching. We love this old Bridge, great spot for a cache. TFTC
Interesting bridge! Saw quite a few motorbikes go over and one big truck taking it very easy over the bridge. GPS had me wandering around a bit but fortunately ended up steering me away from the electric fence. I think the magnet has fallen off and I found the cache just sitting there.
Took a geo-adventure with Bogonghazy, SorceySal and the geodogs for Father's Day. Fantastic adventure with lots of caching along the way. Big thanks to SS who drove. Had a wonderful adventure with friends. Thanks for adding to our adventure.
On the way to Echuca in the company of bogonghazy, leetalicious and the 2 geo dogs. On the way to the event in Heathcote, we came this way to obtain a few extra smilies. BH had already found this one but wasn't much help as it was a long time ago. Eventually found the little devil and managed to turn it into a smiley. Thanks Tigersden
Heading to Ballarat for a weekend of birthday celebrations with family. Taking every opportunity to grab some caches along the way. Found after a short search. The geoson though this would be fun to do.
Thanks tigersden for placing & maintaining the cache for us to find.

Found by Team Ladava on the 'scenic route back form Bendigo to drop off the van for service.
We have crossed this bridge numerous times in the past but it still impresses us with the design and construction by riveting all those pieces together. I wonder how they supported the span during the building process.
Locations like this are 'the icing on the cake' of Geocaching with the locals hosting us anonymously to their favourite spots.

Our thanks to tigersden for the cache and bringing us to this location.

Caching my way home today from Murchison to Ballarat after heading over very early this morning for an appointment. I love caching in areas I don't normally drive through as there is so much to see and explore! I was excited to stop Brodsky as the last few times we've been here we've had a van on the back which makes it hard. A quick find - interesting things just off the side of the road! Thanks
Nice spot to stop at the lovely old bridge over the Campaspe River . Love flying foxes although we couldn't ride this one tftc
Find #938 for me. Today was a great day to be out even if the rest of my family didn't want to join me; so after purchasing some geogoodies from the CO, I headed down towards Redesdale to grab some caches before heading over to Heathcote. This was a quick find after reading the cache description. What a great location too! Thanks for bringing me here today tigersden, and thanks for the cache!
I found this cache while on a recent cycling trip through central Victoria; it was one of 103 caches located.
Indeed the cache is on a strange contraption! Thank you tigersden for the cache; if I could allocate favourites, this cache would get one!

When we first looked at the contraption I thought it could be used for a pretty awesome zip line. Then a few days later I came across another cache near one of these and in the description, it said that this is a device for measuring flood water heights before digitisation. Apparently things were hung from here and then winched across the flooded creek to measure the height of the flood waters. TFTC
Great little find. Had to locate it with no compass as phone battery died! Only had map to go by.
What a superb old bridge! They don't make 'em like they used to! Thanks for showing it to us, and for the hide.
#1899 Making our way home from a weekend in Daylesford. With the mercury pushing 40 degs, a quick find was preferable and Mr BGF spied the cache before too long and managed to extract it using a pen. Not sure whether this is the original hide position reading previous logs, however we returned it to where we found it. Was glad to return to the airconed geocar before crossing the interesting bridge nearby. TFTC tigersden.
Found at 1.40pm. I decided to make the most of my son's first day back at school and take a trip to Heathcote to add a few more smileys to my collection and then continue back to Bendigo via Redesdale. I loved this little bridge and wish I'd managed to take a photo of it. I found the cache on the ground in the dirt quite by accident. It appears the magnet has come off. I was unable to sign the log as I couldn't extract it but hid the cache where I thought it might have originally been. Thank you for the cache tigersden
Stopped on an afternoon of geocaching to take some photos of bridge. Noticed last log was a DNF and thought I'd have a second look for myself. Cache is missing or in different spot to when I found it the first time.
Unable to sign log. Good cache. TFTC. Tor and Betsy, the travelling Westies roaming WA at present. We are from Oxenford near the Gold Coast in Queensland and thoroughly enjoying the West.
Found on a beautiful drive home from bendigo with my geopartner after spending some time with the geo kiddies!
In the dark its a little more difficult but found it in a neat hide where it should be. TNLN TFTC
Fantastic old bridge. I remember crossing it a few years back and thinking great spot for a hide. Found this cache nice and dry and well hidden. Thanks tigersden for the challenge.
Looked around the contraption but no luck. Aware that the hide might be 'sneaky' but there didn't seem to be many possibilities. Another time ...
Found today on a day trip to the Heathcote area with my in-laws Mr & Mrs One-eyed and Woody the geo-dog. After a bit of a hunt, there was an obvious place it could be. And there it was. Retrieved by the use of a tool. Also dislodged a very angry spider. He'll get over it.
With Mrs one-eyed and our Son In Law Imapom, and his little Jack Russell Woody headed home from our day in Heathcote , stopping at the location.
After careful planning and reading the logs, Imapom found the cache okay.

A sneaky little hide that I found after I paused and thought about where I would hide it. And there it was. As to the pulley system, I am not sure what the use of it is when the bridge is just beside it. Thanks for the tricky hide tigersden
We also would like to know what the zipline? is for. At a later cache we found a similar thing but with pennants attached to it. Here it was to mark a height to warn houseboats moving on the river. There is no attachment for the cache, it is just sitting in it's hiding place. SL TFTC
lfound fairly easily
thanks to tigersden for putting this cache out for us to find

I had intended to attend Intervening Days and complete some maintenance and collect a couple of caches along the way. It all took a bit longer than expected and I never quite got there. Instead I looped around Kyneton and back to Bendigo picking up a few caches from both sites along the way.
The road workers are still working - on a Saturday even but didn't seem too interested in my meanderings. Found the sneaky little blighter after a bit of a hunt.

We enjoyed the bud festival and ombré way back had a look at the bridge, different
We parked and wondered about the nearby electrical fence - no need to go there but crossed the object to retrieve the cache
Signed the new log as number 3

On our way home after a mini break to shep decided to pick up a few finds.
our second time looking for this one the container no longer has a magnet attached and was sitting in plain sight so rehid where we thought it would be safe need some TLC
This was an easy find signed the log and onto the the next.
Thanks for bringing us here and the cache.

Stopped by on way through Redesdale. My goodness this is the smallest micro I have ever seen! I actually thought it *was* the whole magnet assembly until one of the geokids gave it a twist to open it! Put in another piece of paper as a new log in addition to the old one. It is still detached from magnet, however. And no idea exactly what the tensioned wire contraption is for. I have seen many others across other rivers. I thought it might be used to protect the nearby bridge from large logs during flooding, but maybe it is downstream so that would be wrong. Anyway, the bridge itself is awesome and we would probably never have seen it if we hadn't been looking for this cache. So thanks heaps!
Found by The Empire @ 1:35pm with The Lone Random
Find number 14 of 16 around Lake Eppalock today. Is this a zip line!? Love. It. The cache was OK too! Thanks tigersden.

Urgently needs a new log and the cache has become detached from what secures it so can only be left in an exposed position.
Found but probably not where it would have been originally placed. Needs a new log and some maintenance.
A fairly quick find by Mikidos who found the cache where I had already had a brief look! TFTC. Needs new log book
First micro I have ever actually found! Go me! TFTC
Log needs replacing, very full!

Found by Mary & David at 0830. Our first for the day, and again we are in convoy with Phetlern and Crackers. We passed beautiful country heading across through Redesdale and Mia Mia, and the grey clouds are clearing up. We know this bridge well after many years exploring around this part of Victoria. Missed the cache on first inspection, but found it shortly after with a closer look. Our thanks to tigersden.
Staying in Castlemaine for a long weekends caching run around and about. This one took me a few moments, until the GPS finally settled and I was in the vicinity of the cache. The magnet is no longer glued to the container. It's there, just not sticking. nevertheless, the cache was duly signed and returned. An interesting cable crossing! Thanks to tigersden

Following the fun, friendship and food at the CVGT VII Event, it was time to be out and finding a few local caches. Many of the tracks along Fryers Ridge were familiar, as P-P spent time here taking part in fire fighting exercises and fire investigation training. It was a trip down memory lane and great to be in the Central Victorian bush again, finding so many caches along the way was the icing on the cake.
NOTE FOR CO:- The "contracption" is termed a Flying Fox and is used to hang devices in the water to measure water flow during times of flood.

A pre arranged early morning rendezvous with Maccamob & Team Crackers set us on a course to pick up a few caches on our way to the Kelllam's Rock CITO later in the morning. This certainly is a very quaint bridge, it was built in 1868 and is listed in the Victorian Heritage Register.

Traveling with maccamob and Phetlern heading to the Kellan’s Rock Cito picking up a few caches on the way.
We have seen a lot of these pieces of equipment and know they have something to do with checking the depth or flow of the water below but are still not sure how they are operated.
We did find this one in two pieces, in two different places making a fairly easy find as a result so we replaced the items and re hid it a bit better.
Thanks tigersden

Good one to do as so often we have driven over this bridge and never stopped. Would you believe at this quiet spot there was a car load of muggles smoking endless cigarettes. Luckily found the cache quite quickly. Clever spot that seems so oblivious once you see it. TFTC.
A very nice spot to visit
Lots to look at with the funny bridge nearby and the contraption at GZ.
But while the thingy at GZ can be correctly described as a 'flying fox', it didn't carry people or goods across the river.
I suspect the contraption is more of a crane
Whatever it is, I found the cache after several minutes
So obvious in the end
TFTC and visit to a great spot !!

Amazing cache that I probably would have missed without eagle eyed geokid. Certainly log challenged!
I had known that there was a fantastic bridge here in Redesdale and have driven over it many times, and even brought a social car club treasure hunt type rally over it! Stopped by on my way past today to have a hunt and found it after a very short search so not too hard this time. Thanks to tigersden for this one
I love these old bridges with the ornate work - so much more soul and character than the modern ones but one must accept the work of modern bridges also.
I have no idea what the contraption is but it has obviously been used to ferry things across to the other side of the river (maybe during a flood?).
Thanks for bringing me to this area.

What a lovely old bridge. Thanks tigersden. We found the cache fairly quickly which was good because the wind today was quite cool.
Good to see the bridge still in good nick. Made a quick find but found extracting all the parts a little tricky. Thanks.
This is definitely a very strange bridge sign the log and had a bit more look around tftc
After a night camping just outside Beaufort, I had to make my way back to Wangaratta. Drive-bys were certainly in order!
I hadn't planned to log any more caches today, but having got to Redesdale with only 5L of fuel left in my tank (I was glad the servo was open) I needed to stop and chill out for a moment. I'd come through this way on my way down to Beaufort, and had seen the bridge and expected a cache nearby.

Cheeky hiding spot! Great little area to get out and stretch you legs through..my guess is the contraption was used to cart goods across the river when it flooded?
Suscoe's 4th find of the morning after a frosty 0 degrees start.
What a terrific old bridge and the cache location was pretty good.
Log signed and it was time to head further north.

Lack of reception made it difficult with coordinates but still managed to find the cache by thinking like a cacher. No room left to sign the log, we didn't have any suitable paper with us so possibly next person add more?
This cache was found during a Monday night cache run with Blacklegend, Trailrunning and Rebel Acts (TDC) as well as Poynts95 who came down with BL. for the nights run. Plenty of kilometres travelled during the run, with us starting early afternoon around Rebels home turf and finishing in the wee hours of the morning in Heathcote. A great variety of caches found with some really nice hides. Many thanks to the cache owners for placing the caches we found.
Found on a caching run with the TDC..... I was lucky enough to be able to cache with my local caching mate, Blacklegend, and the rest of The Demolition Crew on this occasion. I had a great night, lots of good conversation and great to again catch up with the TDC. My thanks to all the cache owners for their hides on the night. I don't think I can say a lot more than the others already have about the finds on the night. There were some fantastic hides amongst the caches, and some fav points will be given.

Every week I look forward to exploring new areas with The Demolition Crew, and this Monday nights run brought us from Eric's place in Kilsyth through to Gisborne, Macedon and finally Heathcote. A long night of caching these areas, with a few nice walks and a few drivebys as well. Many thanks to the CO's for their efforts in placing and maintaining their caches. Unfortunately we were only able to replace one of the two scheduled cache replacements as we ran out of time.
