Out for a bike ride along here this afternoon, needed the nearby ad lab WP, and grabbed this cache while here, TFTC
i had a dnf here in 2022 happy to finally turn that frown into a smiley face tftc
Nice quick find on a walk up the beach and down the track. I had looked for this one before and didn't find it but today I spotted it quickly... must've been having a moment, TFTC!
????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????
WP made sense with cache title.... but nohidey spot found.2 items suitable for hides searched but nothing.... and way outside margin of error.
General: nice long ride along the Great Taste Trail and Rabbit Island today! Quite windy but also very sunny so we won't complain. Checked some caches left and right along the trail, such a fun combo of riding and caching, thanks to all CO's for placing and maintaining!
Specific: Yes, got it this time! Thanks for recovering this one and placing it back one more time for good fun. Happy to make a quick find this time and turn blue into yellow!

Checked today and returned to it's original spot.
It is a fluke this cache still exists as Pinwiz75 found it 30m away. When notified of this I assumed it was one of the older versions of this cache but it is indeed the latest replacement.
Please take care and use stealth if necessary.
It probably won't be replaced again.

Found cache thrown in the bushes about 30m from marked location. Have hidden where we think it should be and will message owner. TFTC
No luck here searching with 2 boys and dad. A lot of debris laying around from the recent wood works, so not sure if it's still there.
Staying in Mapua and while hubby and friends are sunning themselves at Kaiteri I chose to catch the ferry across and bike around these forestry roads for a couple of hours.
I remember looking for this years ago when I was here and gave up… now it’s quite a quick find

I had a bit of time, so I brought the bike and rode over here today. After a short search, I found the cx in a spot I had checked on previous visits.
Many thanks to the CO for replacing this cx. TFTC.

This hide has going around and around and backwards and forwards a wee bit, until we were a bit more thorough. TFTC
I'm not having any luck with this one. I think I can tell where the cx should be hidden, but I didn't find it. Hmmmmmmmmmmmm.
Lovely after work adventure making the most of the still long days. It took a while to locate, but at last, I did! TFTC!!
At last took a while as didnt spot at first then had a little trouble retrieving. Tftc
Spending a little time around Nelson, we thought catching the ferry from Mapua and riding bikes around Rabbit Island was just the thing for a beaut day like today. Many caches have sprung up since I was last here caching, so nice to have the opportunity to clean out a few.

Out on a bike ride today, and we decided to grab some caches we hadn’t found before.
This one didn’t take too long, although it wasn’t at last…. As we widened our search we spotted the container a little exposed.

In the South Island from Tauranga on a six week holiday and now following the PWGT. I hope to have the tour completed before I get home. Today is a day in Mapua to gather a few extra smileys decided to go bike riding with DEE + ME.
I am logging using the Cachly app template so please excuse generic logging along the way. It’s just my way of keeping track, but I do genuinely thank each and every one of you cache owners for taking the time and energy to place these caches. Many Thanks for bringing me here. Cheers.

Pretty cool cache. It took us about 15 minutes to find it, and I really enjoyed it. TFTC!
Found some weeks ago while others had a swim, I decided to walk along the beach and once near I followed the track and started searching at obvious spot. Too high and too low until I eventually found it.
Good distance from car park for a walk on the beach, was back within 30min aprox and still had time to also enjoy the water.

Couldn't find it but I had my one year old with me so I couldn't look properly... I suspect I need to climb?
Been in the South Island visiting the grown up kids who are on Uni holidays. Travelling home and staying in Nelson for a couple of days. Today got bikes and came over to rabbit Island. Lovely area to explore combining some of my favourite activities Biking and Caching. What a great feature. Thanks
I remember last time we tried we got Dad to climb the
Obviously getting better at caching.
Thanks for the cache

Log is full. We added a new strip.
Thank you for bringing us to this beautiful place! We are travelling around the world for a year, picking up as many geocaches as we can along the way. Our trip will bring us to Brazil, Argentina, South Africa, Madagascar, Dubai, India, Australia, New Zeeland, South East Asia and Mexico.
Would love to meet the local geocaching community along the way. Drop us a line!

Due to NZ being at Alert level 4 and some people insisting on continuing to geocache and put others at risk I am disabling my caches until such time as it's safe to resume this activity.
Any logs I receive for finds during this time will be deleted. I don't care anymore about YOUR safety than you obviously do but I do care very much about others and want them to be safe so please do NOT look for any of my caches while they are disabled.
In the meantime, there's always plenty of puzzles to be solved or created but above all PLEASE STAY SAFE EVERYONE!

Today we visit Rabbit Island. We made a ride with bicycles and found this cache. Thx for the cache.

Second one by bike, and a bit of a toughie. We searched all nooks and crannies, or thought we had. Another search, look at old logs, search some more - got it. Like the tie in to the sign, and first Holymu cache? Awesome, FP awarded and thanks for all the other ones we have enjoyed since.
Today, Jo and I are in Nelson targeting anything that will allow us to go for a bike ride. We planned it a while ago as, because Jo works Saturdays, lately we haven’t had the chance to go caching together much.
But there was an elephant in the room - the weather. There was something like 19mm of rain scheduled for just a few hours in the afternoon today and not a lot else in the forecast to write home about either. Still, this didn’t put us off, and if it turned really bad we can just do some park and grabs, right?
So we got away early, got into Nelson and the weather had held off. It was much worse on the way over actually.
So, a few caches on Rough Island first, and still no rain. Optimistic, into Rabbit island we went and this is where it all turned a little bit King Lear Act III
Everything got soaked in the next few hours, and I remembered just how frustrating it can be using a phone (in a waterproof pouch) to go geocaching when the outside is so wet you simply cannot navigate the map on it and any raindrop is likely to send the map somewhere else. Add to this a couple of spills - the best one right over the handlebars when the front tire dug into some deep sand. The next best, a branch through the spokes.
Still, Jo could not be fazed and we soldiered on through it. Eventually we got a decent haul of 30 odd, had some fun and some character building as well. Hey, at least it wasn’t cold. Thanks all COs.

At last we found it.
The first attempt towards ferry was not successful. We searched for more than 15min and would have bet, searched all possibilities in detail.
On the way back the little canister was immediately spotted. TFTC

At last! We are geocaching again after a long break. Thank you for the cache Yours sincerely, Eggby
Found 'At last'... took a bit of searching. Beautiful walk along beach with easy track access to cache. TFTC
It was raining too much on the west coast so i headed up to Nelson to restock and move into the warm weather. While up here i hiked around a lot of the hills. I can see why people love mountain biking around this area. And i picked up a lot of caches along the way. Thanks for placing them.
Out of DUNEDIN and headed to Nelson for a week. On a mission to tick off our 2000th cache on this trip.
Decided to spend the afternoon on Rabbit Island cycling around and caching as we go.
Took some hunting and so many possibilities in the obvious hide location. Just about gave up. Hint wasn’t that helpful to us, felt it was a little misleading in fact.
Almost there, this is find number 1961!

Cycled around the West end of the Island this morning. One could say it was an easy find. But it wasn't. TFTC
