TFTC, a few muggles hanging about needed to pump up our tires to stay undetected.
On a walk with my friend, John, visiting from Seattle, home of geocaching. He made the find. The inner bottle's lid is broken. Thanks for the hide.#10866
A fun day with my Grandies. TFTCLog sheet full and needs replacing, so placed a temp sheet to substitute for the time being.
Out for a bike ride along here this afternoon, needed the nearby ad lab WP, and found the cache out on the ground so replaced at hint location, TFTC
Third find on our little stroll today. Returning (perhaps briefly) to geocaching after a long hiatus. 10 year olds first go so I suspect we might be back in the game. TFTC on a beautiful Nelson Bay day!
Got it! Found together with my sons on a happy day of playing and cycling on Rabbit Island, tftc!
I have a ferry to catch and with limited time I could only afford a few minutes looking. Fortunately, this one was close to the trail and a nice quick find. TFTC
i was out for a walk with kjj162 today at rabbit is.this one was a quick find tftc
Found it on a trail run today. Thanks for placing this one, took a photo as a log sign (trail running with a pen / pencil is tricky!) thanks for placing!
I was biking around the island today, so this was a logical stop. After the other traffic cleared, I was able to zip over and make the find. TFTC.
Lovely after work adventure making the most of the still long days. It was getting late and very quiet. TFTC!!
We decided to head out this way for a bike ride today after a week of rain and far too much time indoors. Along the way we picked up some of the caches we haven’t got here before.
This one was a super quick find and after signing the log we were back on two wheels and headed for the next cache.
In the South Island from Tauranga on a six week holiday and now following the PWGT. I hope to have the tour completed before I get home. Today is a day in Mapua to gather a few extra smileys decided to go bike riding with DEE + ME.
I am logging using the Cachly app template so please excuse generic logging along the way. It’s just my way of keeping track, but I do genuinely thank each and every one of you cache owners for taking the time and energy to place these caches. Many Thanks for bringing me here. Cheers.

Walked or rather scrambled over trees etc from beach. Much easier if on the bike trail. Thanks for the cache.
Quick grab tftc left a wee swap and a new log as the other is getting near to full.
Been in the South Island visiting the grown up kids who are on Uni holidays. Travelling home and staying in Nelson for a couple of days. Today got bikes and came over to rabbit Island. Lovely area to explore combining some of my favourite activities Biking and Caching. No problems here. Thanks
Thank you for bringing us to this beautiful place! We are travelling around the world for a year, picking up as many geocaches as we can along the way. Our trip will bring us to Brazil, Argentina, South Africa, Madagascar, Dubai, India, Australia, New Zeeland, South East Asia and Mexico.
Would love to meet the local geocaching community along the way. Drop us a line!

On a short bike ride at Rabbit island, wanted to get a smile today and here it is.
Nice quick find, all dry in the bag in the container in the container.
Beautiful weather, let the summer last long!!

One of 12 caches located this afternoon on a cycle ride around parts of Rabbit Island. Unfortunately the weather was totally unappealing, with a very strong wind near the beach and a constant threat of rain! Still good to get the exercise of a bike ride and the satisfaction of a few caches!
A quick find. #3081. TFTC.

Another first placing that deserves a FP, if for nothing else for the ones that were to follow. Quick find here by Jo, TFTC Hazedarus.
Today, Jo and I are in Nelson targeting anything that will allow us to go for a bike ride. We planned it a while ago as, because Jo works Saturdays, lately we haven’t had the chance to go caching together much.
But there was an elephant in the room - the weather. There was something like 19mm of rain scheduled for just a few hours in the afternoon today and not a lot else in the forecast to write home about either. Still, this didn’t put us off, and if it turned really bad we can just do some park and grabs, right?
So we got away early, got into Nelson and the weather had held off. It was much worse on the way over actually.
So, a few caches on Rough Island first, and still no rain. Optimistic, into Rabbit island we went and this is where it all turned a little bit King Lear Act III
Everything got soaked in the next few hours, and I remembered just how frustrating it can be using a phone (in a waterproof pouch) to go geocaching when the outside is so wet you simply cannot navigate the map on it and any raindrop is likely to send the map somewhere else. Add to this a couple of spills - the best one right over the handlebars when the front tire dug into some deep sand. The next best, a branch through the spokes.
Still, Jo could not be fazed and we soldiered on through it. Eventually we got a decent haul of 30 odd, had some fun and some character building as well. Hey, at least it wasn’t cold. Thanks all COs.

It was raining too much on the west coast so i headed up to Nelson to restock and move into the warm weather. While up here i hiked around a lot of the hills. I can see why people love mountain biking around this area. And i picked up a lot of caches along the way. Thanks for placing them.
Out of DUNEDIN and headed to Nelson for a week. On a mission to tick off our 2000th cache on this trip.
Decided to spend the afternoon on Rabbit Island cycling around and caching as we go.
Almost there, this is find number 1960!

Looks like this was our last of three finds today grand kids very tired so headed back after this one. Cheers for the smiley
We were on our way 'home' from an event not too far away, and had taken the ferry from Mapua onto Rabbit Island. We really enjoyed cycling this part of the Great Taste Trail, and were glad there were caches hidden off the trail. It encouraged us to stop and get off the trail, to enjoy the views. As we approached GZ, we saw a spot where we thought we would find the cache!!! But when we got there, we found nothing! So we searched high and low, and found the cache laying low...on the ground, quite out in the open. We didn't think that's where it should be, so after signing the log, we placed the cache where we had originally thought the cache would be!!! Thanks for the hide and the smiley!
