Had a good search for this, even checked out a few previous posts with spoilers. We were in the right spot but not here.
Been out of the cache game too long so really struggling with finding any caches. Searched everywhere and didn’t find this one.
Ive been to Rabbit Island a few times in the last couple of years, but not Rough Island. Not sure why that is but I enjoyed a return visit today. This wasn't quite an "instant find in the first place I looked", but didn't take too long to track down. TFTC.
Good find this afternoon in an area we haven't been to for a very long time.

Needed a couple of caches today but limited time so prefound a few days ago. Had originally tried for this a while ago but think was harder to search with more muggles around. Had place mainly to myself early today. TFTC
When the husbands away the wives will play haha - Straight out the door for a Saturdays geocaching adventure with Missnboyz. Read the clue and still took me a while to locate the correct object. phew no dnfs today yay! another in the bag. TFTC

Due to NZ being at Alert level 4 and some people insisting on continuing to geocache and put others at risk I am disabling my caches until such time as it's safe to resume this activity.
Any logs I receive for finds during this time will be deleted. I don't care anymore about YOUR safety than you obviously do but I do care very much about others and want them to be safe so please do NOT look for any of my caches while they are disabled.
In the meantime, there's always plenty of puzzles to be solved or created but above all PLEASE STAY SAFE EVERYONE!

Checking out Rabbit Island and it's many delights with Lustylass. This was our third find of the day.
A quick find by Jo after she decided to explore other close by options. All good here, TFTC holymu.
Another warm day so Jo and I planned a trip across the hill, just for a bit of therapy and a change of scene really. Jo hasn’t had a lot of time off over the holiday period.
So we set some goals.
Lunch at Devilles, a swim at Rabbit Island, and a pint at the free house before heading home. Some of those are usual haunts, others not, but the weather dictates these things. Those were all achieved and a few caches along the way. Cachewise the goals were walking to the centre of NZ; then Best, Rough and Rabbit Island. A few others in the vicinity. Anything park and grab or within short walking distance. Didn’t pack the bikes, they will be coming another day.
Thanks to the Nelson COs. We haven’t been here much in 2018. Will aim to get over more in 2019. Had fun and all caches in good shape.

A quick find, SJT_NZ managed to park car to provide sufficient cover as we headed off for a walk around the island. Cache all in good order, thanks holymu for the cache.

I had been to look for this cache some other time with no luck had another go today then I found I was looking in the wrong place . Tftc holymu
No luck for me here today. Spent several minutes looking in the obvious and then not so obvious spots.
Yeah!! Another micro....... Well at least I found it but as always in the last place I looked and after a bit of contemplation. Thanks for the cache.

Today was Day 2 of the Garin College Geocaching Grad Challenge. Its was a brilliant day. Teachers and students both had luck geocaching on Rough Island, which is a geocache gold mine!
On a still day with the tide in it was a wonder we found it instead of looking at the beautiful estuary
Went on a big adventure with Wafflekitties and geo pups, had a blast thanks for the memories!

TFTC.Found while on a winter holiday with LCBuilder and our two geodogs. We spent 3 weeks travelling down the east coast and then up the west coast, setting our tent up at a different campsite each night. We didn't have any real plan, just went where the caches took us 
we saw a lot of awesome sights and will definitely have to come back one day as 3 weeks isn't really that long!
Finally made it to Sunny Nelson, definitely one of my favourite places.
This one took a long time to find but got it eventually!

Out for an afternoon walk. Thought a good time to catch up on some local caches. Had to doge a muggle or two walking their dogs. Even ran into a cacher from Chch. Thanks for all the caches
In Richmond for a wee family holiday. Mr TG grew up here; staying with family.
Another hot day in the offing so we headed out early to Rabbit Island....the boys were keen for a swim....and Mr & Mrs TG for a run (independently!). Mrs TG knocked off her run first then I headed back to grab a few around the start of the Rough Island track. Getting hot!
