Thanks to the last cacher for checking. This cache has given joy for over a decade, but it's time for this spot to be used by someone else. Merry Xmas everyone.
I'll leave it for one more person to give it a try - it is after all part of a very nice walk between two other caches, but if it remains unfindable, and nobody replaced it - I'll retired the spot for others to use.
This one is actually not in place anymore. I found the zipper for the log book at GZ plus some other garbage like a empty big of crisps. Can only assume the container has been muggled. I removed all trash from site, so nothing to be found here anymore. Needs a replacement or archiving I'm afraid. Still logged a find because I was at GZ and found remaining parts of the cache, hope that's ok with the CO.
Coming down the mountain after a night in Bushline Hut. Had an hour to kill before returning to Nelson, so what to do? Grab a few more caches of course!
We have arrived in the area today and decided on a walk around the peninsula. It is a bit overcast and did drizzle for a bit on our walk.
We were heading back to the visitors centre so this cache was a bit of a detour. Cache was nicely spotted but the log was very wet and will need replacing.
Thanks for the cache

2730. Out for a last walk before we leave the area. Log here absolutely saturated. TFTC!!!
While hanging out at St Arnaud for a couple of days I convinced (with the help of chocolate) the 2 miss's to come for a wee walk. This was the fourth. Easy find.
Used the approach from east (path) and managed to reach and find the cache without any problems.
Thank you for the cache

Best way to get to this is, go to the beach at the crossing to the visitor centre, then approach cache from the lake side. Easy to spot TFTC
Found it during our walk by the lake. Quick and easy find. Tftc logbook is absolutely wet
On the way from Motueka to Kaikoura we stop over here for short walk. Beautiful nature and lake live. TFTC
Enjoyed the expedition to get to this one! Unfortunately log was too wet to write on with my pencil so I have attached a photo. Tftc
Nice hide right by the water. Bit if a bash to gettherebut Allgood. Log very wet. Replaced bagbutneeds to dry out
Marvellous weather for the last official week of winter, great afternoon to do the Peninsula walk. And hunt out some caches.
A bit of bush bashing required, found the container, damn left the pen back on the track. Bashbip to the pen, back to replace the cache, and finally back up to the track.

Found with assistance from my geocaching minder.
This one is a survivor.
It has "taken on water" during the recent floods.
It is still there, but needs a new log, bag and medal for bravery.

The approach is now more difficult than a T2, IMHO. It's a good thing the level of the lake is well controlled or else this one might have trouble. Once I got close, I was able to spot the hiding place. TFTC.
Rashes through the bush a bit to get to this one. Logbook dry but the container was wet. TFTC
A day in the Lake Rotoiti area with a walk around the Brunner Peninsula then the Moraine Walkway. Thanks for the cache.
I managed to find what I assume was the best route to this cache site. It was a little bit awkward once I got very close to it though. Being in a very pleasant spot meant I wasn't at all bothered by a couple of minor scratches.
Catching up with logging caches from our trip last month. Loved our short time here and would love to come back for longer. Sent the kids wading through the water to find this one. Best cache of the day they said! TFTC
Went tge hard way, I'm sure! Cache wet but log dry. Fast find. Beautiful woodlands. All in good order. TFTC
The furtherest extent of our peninsula walk, before looping back. Bit of an unexpected bush-crash to get to this one, but came back via an easier route around the lake edge.
A beautiful still, quiet day today after the rain. We’ve made the most of a break in the weather to get out and do the peninsula walk. TFTC.
Quick find. Thought we'd take a lazy sunday drive and ended up in St Arnaud.
great walk aroundthe lake edge. took a bit of off track scrambling to locate this one. take the lake edge would be a good idea.
That was our last Cache for today, pur feet refuse to serve! Again a wonderful view!

Nice spot for a swim - and also for a cache.
Frog in the container has seen better days but the log is dry.
Beautiful little bay and interesting information board close to here.
Thanks for placing a cache here!

(# 5453). Today is day 9 of my West Coast trip. Today I am traveling from Westport to St Arnaud. Main goal was the Brunner Peninsula Walk. A quick find. Everything in order. TFTC
A quick find here, bonus number duly recorded.
TFTC beltfamily.
Found on the walk between Kerr Bay and West Bay.
Jo had Monday off, so we decided a trip somewhere was in order. St Arnaud or Nelson? We decided on the former and in retrospect were glad we did. The weather in Blenheim was average, but it was not bad up here although we were prepared for the worst.
The target area was Gowan river, the top of Lake Rotorua, Braeburn walk and track and a short walk in St Arnaud on the way home.
A good mix of PnGs and walking ones, 40 or so for the day. Thanks everyone

Lovely day exploring Nelson Lakes - beautiful location to be on a warm Summer day. Tftc
After arriving early in St. Arnaud we used the time to go for a long walk and to some geocaching. We had an enjoyable afternoon at this wonderful place. So nice to have all those caches here. As found 17 Caches this afternoon, I will do the same log on al of them, sorry.

Visiting from Auckland, staying at Kerr Bay. Great morning on the peninsula walk. Stopped at the beach, then ventured along to find this one. Great view west, but wind picking up. TFTC
Bit of a push through the trees to get down to the water think we got to it the more complicated route. Thanks for the cache

I was on 3% battery on phone so logged many about here TFTC.
Boatees were pulled up close to this spot.

First trip away in the caravan since winter.... a beautiful afternoon so couldn’t pass up a peaceful walk around the peninsula track. Not a muggle in sight on the track - they are all down at the lake edge...leaving me in peace to find the cache.
Had a wee sit down at the edge of the lake here - such a beautiful spot

In the area for a first day find as we missed out on first finder status. As there was no rush to find the new cache now (except for the weather) we carried on around the track from the multi and I directed Andy while he hunted. Soon he had the cache in hand and after noting the bonus number, I headed off to the next cache while he returned this one. tftc
Another little lake cache for us, unfortunately couldn’t get the final two today so will have to come back another time. Great hide and plenty of shelter from the few muggles that were out and about.

Visiting caches we found in 2013 and a couple of caches we have not found before in preparation for the bonus mystery cache. Thanks for placing this one

It is a beautiful and sunny day.

On a week's walking and caching holiday with trifolia argentea we aimed for 100 caches. Thanks to all cache owners.
We found this quickly and replaced the plastic bag as the log was rather damp. TFTC
A day in the Park whilst Streetgamer is at the gliding club down the road. A lovely spring day and a great opportunity to explore this area.
I was originally planning to park and grab as many as I could today, but the park and the weather is too nice today to rush, so I ended up doing a leisurely walk from the West Bay car park over to Kerr Bay and back.
Muggle numbers three and four held me up a while here. Thankfully they seemed to be completing their wistful gazing across the lake and soon moved on.
My first approach would have led to wet feet, so I opted for the less-direct, but drier, route.
Spot on; numbers noted.

Moved up to St Arnaud from Nelson for a couple of nights at the West Bay DOC camp. Very hot here today, so much so that it wasn't until after 3pm that I decided to venture out of the shade and go seek a couple of nearby geocaches. Walked around to the Peninsula Track from DOC's West Bay campsite. Heard plenty of birdsong, so it seems that the pest trapping is working. Pleased also to note that I hadn't seen any wasps at all during my walk. The cache was quickly found. Took note of the 'bonus' number, not that it was going to do me much good as I had failed to note the numbers from all of the 4 Little Lake series caches that I had earlier found. Thanks for the cache beltfamily.
