This cache is gone. CO has not logged in in over 2 years - don't suppose they are caching anymore. Needs to be archived.
Agree with kiwiscot19 - the recent pruning may have scared the squirrel away for good...
We thought that the recent cutting of bush around may have compromised the cache, but it may be there. The obvious spot perhaps is not, having read past logs. Will wait to see if it resurfaces.
Quick find cool hide tftc

While collecting the coastal caches in this area today we couldn't look past a park and grab, so MrsNZT parked up and MrNZT went in for the find. Came up trumps! The log was a little worse for wear so added a new log. TFTC!

Went on a lovely stroll today to try and get 7 geocaches around the te atatu penisula.
This was cache #7 on the journey.
TFTC!
Lots of muggles out today.

If i was a squirrel i'd live here!! log very wet - made best attempt to sign. TFTC
#164 Out and about in Te Atatu. Geodad and Geokids trying to set a daily record. Log may need changing. Nice quick find though. Geoboy likes this one, he is a monkey not a squirrel though.

Tftc. Soggy loggy needs maintenance. Also GLS and I can't stop laughing that we just wrote soggy loggy in a log.
Checked all the obvious squirrel hides (and the not so obvious ones) but alas, no find for me today.
Had a pretty good look and found a likeable place for a squirrel to shelter from the weather.
But no cache.........
But no cache.........
I didn't find it. But it is only my second day, so it may just be me. I found the hole in the tree, but it was not there. Maybe I go back and have another look.
4 nationalities were searching the squirrel, finally we took the animals food. Thank you.
Third time lucky! Thanks to a wee hint I returned and finally found this one. It's nowhere near where I thought a squirrel would be but I guess they forage as well.
Mmm, I was pretty sure I found where a squirrel would be but it was empty. I was in a bit of a rush so didn't spend too long looking and there a few muggles were around, will watch this one for awhile
Enthusiastic Stella was able to locate this one, swapped in a pig and a moshi for a comb and gorilla. Nice hide!
Decided after a very good breakfast in Mt Eden to head out and catch some of those rare sunrays and walk off the food. What a great time walking in the sun on the beach and enjoying the view topped with some geocaches. TFTC
Quick find... Almost got blown away!! Time for coffee and lunch and recharge the phone!! Tftc
Found it in true squirrel style - nice spot, ideal for a cache! Thanks for the hide
Out and about in Te Atatu to gather a few unfound caches, not many squirrels out, but some friendly muggles, warning us we'd left our car window down as we walked towards GZ. Nice easy find, tftc
Found originally as part of rebel98 team, now created own account, re-logging as rustynz
See rebel98 log. Clever hide, so close, yet unknown to the masses. Thanks again for the hide.

Needed an easy one! Clever camo and good sized container. Watched the line marker truck pick up its cones, it looks like they are finished in Te Atatu for the day! A hot, sticky day, should have left to the cool of evening, but we were tide dependent, so no choice but to be searching in the heat.
My last cache of the day, thanks for making it a good one! I would be there if I were a squirrel too.
Found this very quickly which was good as we had a muggler making some smart remarks which we could not quite make out.
Friend works near here, so makes caching easy.
Found drug paraphernalia enroute. Kids need to be doing something challenging, like Geocaching.
TFTC.... and adding to the game.

Don't understand the Phoenix reference, but we found the cache easily thanks.
Super quick find in the first place I checked. Cache felt a little exposed so covered it up with some natural camo as best I could. Cheers for the cache placement!
B And R had different ideas about where to find squirrels. Needless to say one of us was right and cache found quite quickly. TFTC
What a pity - no nuts in sight. Just an old honey pot and empty at that. That's life I suppose.
Nevertheless the cache location was well chosen with just enough foliage cover to aid retrieval.

First find of the day.
9YO listened to the description and hints, and managed to beat the rest of the team to the find.
We were pleased to see a TB in - swapped it with one we were carrying.
