Couldn't pass this up...we started at Pukemiro after all.Continuing the railway theme.
Road trip for Team BOP over the long weekend.
After completing the Vikings Series yesterday, we decided we needed less quantity, more quality caches today and a more relaxing schedule.
Our accommodation is in Woodville, so made sense to clear this town of caches also.
Nothing exciting to see here today. Cache was a quick easy find.

Returning home from the events at Carnival Park. But first, some caches. Quick park n grab, no problems. All good inside the container. Tftc!
(# 7367) A drive up from Wellington for a weekend of events, caching and social get together. This was found on day 2. A quick find. Thanks for bringing me here.
On my way home after a day's event in Pahiatua. I had time to spare so stopped and discovered this beauty. Tftc
One of my sons in Whangarei is going on an OE. He sold his car to his brother Tim in Dunedin and fortunately for me Tim wanted me to drive the car down. Of course I jumped at the idea of a geocaching roadie. I've had lots of puzzles solved for such a long time so geoarts were the main target of the trip.
In Palmy area I wanted the shield series and the 20/20 geoart. Then Wairarapa was stickman (which we ran out of time for), the new M geoart and some archived skindo challenges. Wellington was finishing off the kiwi geoart. Nelson I had a few challenges I wanted before heading to Christchurch. It was family time there and perhaps the smile series but time ran out again. Off to Dunedin for the airplane geoart. Then it was time to fly home to say goodbye to my son heading to Denmark.
It was great to have my friend Supernanny come along on the trip for company. We had a wonderful trip and fantastic weather apart from one afternoon. Now it's time to start writing the massive backlog of logs which is taking a while.
We spotted this as we were headed to Eketahuna for the night. Glad to have one non-archived skindo find. A quick one too. Thanks for all your caches skindo

Many thanks for this cache....had been caching down this way today with Lis of Lis's Crew from Whangarei and ; we decided to do these to trads as we were going right past !
Great place for your cache.
Thanks for the info.
Don't think I have been to Paihiatua ever before!
Easy find.

With (Mr) Davidson Clan and Gap (of Fap and Gap)… On a boy’s weekend roadtrip south.
The road into Paihiatua was a tad busy, but the parking here made for a convenient stop. No problem with the find and the cache was in good condition. Thanks skindo and TFTC.

Found, allgood here. Painting the cinema with Swiftmantis. Stickers inside, 5 year indoor/outdoor vinyl octo-puss stickers. TFTC
Heading over to Pahiatua to suss out my new Adventure Lab *Looking for a date in Pahiatia*. Had previously overshot this placement, but not today. All OK here; just a little conspicuous placement. TFTC
Supplied a new camouflaged pill container because the old one was waterlogged and broken. All good now. Thanks for hiding this cache!
Out for a drive and decided to look for caches along the way. on the other side of the track Fonterra side, i saw the Silver fern in their rail yard. Thanks for the cache. The lid is cracked, it still screws on (a little loose). Emptied a tiny amount of water from cache.
Team TECATS (TwigNZ, [@Etherlord Clan](http://coord.info/PR5Y6HZ) Etherlord Clan and the Seagnoid) are on yet another raid into the Wairarapa, seeking elusive Skindo caches and any others we happen to pass by.
Ably assisted today by SkyCraneKid (EC Jnr), we travelled over from Palmy to concentrate on a very windy southerly jaunt from Paihiatua towards Tinui, before turning West to Alfredton and the relative ease of SH2 back to Palmy. A lot of these roads are ones I have never travelled before, but we had a fantastic day for it so it was great to explore new Valleys and Peaks.
This was my first cache today. The others had found this one ages ago, so it was just me who leapt out of the car to conduct the quick search. It wasn't long before I found it, and had entered my name into the logbook.
Thanks for kicking off my day with a find

Team BOP back together after a 3 month hiatus - this time hitting the Manawatu with our sights set on some Labs, some geo-art & everything else that crosses our path
We’ve signed our logs as Team BOP to save time and log space and have thoroughly enjoyed the journey so far. Pleasantly surprised that very little maintenance has been required and that most caches have been found quickly & without fuss.
While I am cut&pasting these logs using the Cachly ‘text template’ I do genuinely appreciate the work put into these caches, particularly some of the puzzles. Cheers and TFTC

On a weekend road trip with Philip.Perry, McJandals and NZFlossy down to the Manawatu. Day 1 we are hitting the 20/20 series then not sure what we will be doing. Day 2 today we are geocaching around Palmerston North doing a few puzzles , lab caches and Traditional caches in between.
Signed logs TeamBOP.

Staying with friends for the weekend, so as it's a sunny day, cacheing I go. Quick find, cache leaks as 1/2 full of water. Log signed and placed back as found. Cheese
Drove from masterton to palmerston north to visit a friend and saw there are a few caches on the way. So I stopped a couple of times to collect some more .

Worked in Masterton for the weekend and now slowly wandering home with some detours. Today was a tramp to the Herepei Hut then camping the night in Pahiatua. Headed out on my bike to collect a few local smileys. Quick find here. Thanks
#7896. I decided last night I needed to get back into some caching over in the Wairarapa and with a good weekend forecast prepared a list of caches for a road trip today. This was one of them. The day dawned clear and sunny. It turned out to be one of those special days over in the Wairarapa where the visibility was outstanding, the tops of the Tararuas looked so inviting and the air was very warm for autumn. Managed to find just under 30 caches sprinkled between Masterton and Woodville, mopping up a few remaining solved skindo puzzles on side roads and other pockets of overlooked traditionals from the many previous adventures over this way. With the Breeze playing on the car radio and then The Sound it was a nice relaxing trip down memory lane.
This cache: Parked close by and headed over to GZ for a nice quick find. Its a busy corner here with lots of traffic going past. Signed the logbook and returned the cache where found during a break in the traffic. Thanks skindo for hiding it here.

Last time in area (2 years ago) was able to go thru manawatu gorge. Today the track. Road a bit busy. Tftc
Easy find. Log book still a bit wet. Tried to dry it out a bit, but a new lid is needed as it is a bit broken. TFTC
We made a quick find before heading off to have breakfast in a nearby cafe.
Interesting information in the cache description. Thanks skindo.

Another quick find at another place we probably wouldn't have visited had there not been a cache here.
Such a shame rail has been so neglected in NZ. I loved the railcars, so convenient. Thanks for making us stop here.
I was asked by the Wairarapa Branch of the Caravan Assn to give a talk to them this morning about Geocaching as they were having a Rally at the Mangatainoka Brewery. While I was in the area I might as well locate and sign off a few trads.
I was wondering about the cache name until I read the cache page and then it all made sense. DUH!
Cheers for the cache.

Quick find on the way home from a few days in the Tararua. All in good nick, replaced log bag as had a hole. Tftc
Found today while out caching and tiki-touring with my Mum, Aunty and Mr 14. Thanks for the cache.
Over in Pahiatua with a couple of the Jr. Cachers for hockey training and as this was a dot-day it was great to have some caches to do too. Drove past here on the way in to Pahiatua and didn't even notice the railcar parked up here so it was good to stop here for the cache. Seems odd that we no longer have anything like this using the rail these days.
Pretty quiet around here today so no problems grabbing and replacing the cache. Took the TB to move it on. Thanks skindo.

On way to a friend's in Scarborough Road so thought I'd grab this on the way past.
Cheers

Work sent me to Pahiatua to fix a PC today.
Even though it's not a Dot-Day for me, I would be remiss if I did not find a cache outside of my normal territory to help push back my slump
Thanks for the cache, Skindo!

Very interesting as we went in and looked at the railcars that they have restored thanks
Nice quick find thanks.
On the way back home now, driving to Lower Hutt. Last caching day on the holiday . Time to find a few little boxes.....
Thanks to the CO's for the hides. Cheers.

Quick stop here. Nearly missed it. Would loved to have been able to go in and have a look. SL TFTC
A quick find on what suddenly became a sunny afternoon. Picked up the travel bug and left a magnet.
On our way back to Wellington, taking the scenic route and grabbing a few caches along the way. Spotted the tracks and trains so thought we'd stop for a look around. Of course the question was asked 'is there one here?' Sure is! Found with Aoraki Sheep.
In the area for work, which finished earlier than expected, so took the opportunity to cache on my way back to PN airport. Took the hairpin as I approached GZ then quickly found a good spot to park up and made the quick find. A few cars passed me by, but no one noticed the woman in work clothes rummaging around the fence line, as least I hope they didn't! TFTC!
Awesome spot around this area that we would never have known about without caches placed here. Tftc
I had my site mgr beep his car horn at me as I pulled over to find this one. No doubt I'll be asked tomorrow what I was doing!
Found this during a pleasant trip over Pahiatua Track to find a few caches... beware barbed wire at GZ.
I couldn't do much today as serious flooding around the district. TFTC
On a road trip over the Wairarapa collecting a few more caches this weekend. Lots of rain but managed to make this one a quick find.

Yet another local "attraction" that I have passed many times in the past without ever noticing. A shame about all the No Entry signs.
We have enjoyed our back road country drive from the Manawatu Gorge to Pahiatua. A quick find with the family waiting in the car.
