On the way home after a six day west coast sojourn featuring geocaching as the main activity.I can remember back in 1969 when you didn't need to leave your car to get a view of the balanced erratic as the whole area must have been burnt out by the frequent fires which people regularly lit all over the place. GPS took us exactly to the spot. cache and contents in good nick. TFTC thomarter.

Found as we explored the area while on our holiday, we enjoyed the walk to this one, through the beautiful area, TFTC and the fun

Many thanks to Jolly0 for replacing the broken cache container etc.
So nice to see a geocacher who takes spares etc to repair things they find when out and about.

30-Apr-23
What a fascinating place. The erratics look out of place among all the native bush land. I learnt how they found their way here and it’s hard to imagine that rocks and ice could do this.
Once again geocaching has educated me yet again.

Found it but container full of water and unfortunately didn’t have a spare. Thanks

25-Mar-23
A quick find of the container full of water with a saturated unuseable log and a smashed lid. I collected the information to get this cache a few months ago so was not aware of its damaged condition so unfortunately I did not have a replacement container with me. I left a small laminated icybeetas card as evidence of my find.

Apparently the container has been smashed so it would be greatly appreciated if a visiting cacher could replace the container and log book. A couple of sticky-notes in a sealed bag would be ok.

#5335, 2023-03-05 at 19:43,

Nalezeno společně s Radoshordos během měsíčního výletu do Malajsie, Singapuru, Bruneje a Austrálie, kde byla hlavním cílem celého výletu Tasmánie. Singapore se zároveň stává mojí 39. navštívenou zemí a Austrálie mojí 40. navštívenou zemí.
Keš jsem našel během chvilky společně s Radoshordos. Děkuji za přivedení na další zajímavé místo a za další bod do sbírky.
Zdravím z České republiky.

Cache is damaged and full of watter
Found it during a one-month trip together with Radoshordos to Malaysia, Singapore, Brunei and Australia, where Tasmania's was main destination of the whole vacation. Singapore is also becoming my 39th visited country and Australia my 40th visited country.
I found the cash in a moment with Radoshordos. Thank you for bringing me to another interesting place and for the next point to the collection. Greetings from the Czech Republic.

We continued today our tour in Tasmania, AUS, and thereby searched, found and logged this interesting Traditional-Cache.

The weather was - said in one word – simply best. The good hidden caches and the being on holidays kept us the whole day in a good mood.

The cache had good coordinates, and thus was easy to find. The logbook was okay, and allowed easy logging.

Thanks to thomarter for the generation of this nice cache GLACIAL ERRATICS (with the proper agenda), for leading us here and for showing us this funny location as well as the ongoing maintenance of this cache.

Logbook is completely wet!

PS: Please forgive us the uniform log which is needed due to timing problems - if necessary special actions and happenings are there described where they appeared.

Greetings from Germany together with the hope to meet somewhere like event or wood.

Down in the Apple Isle with JACS and TeamARF for a week or so to hunt some caches and traipse about having adventures. Fab puzzles and wonderful countryside. Awesome caches all round! We are thoroughly enjoying this adventure and grabbing some very well maintained oldies awesome locations. Today was mostly about Penguins! Adorable little creatures with an entire named in their honour and a GeoArt. We had a ball today despite it being along one! Finished off some LGAs and of course another cemetery. Tftc

After finishing GCG2NR, it was time to explore via a trip to Tullah and Rosebery. Must recommend a vist to the history photos at the cafe near the Post Office in Tullah. Learnt so much by talking to locals.
We checked out all the information boards before getting here and fully understood the Geology of the area. Thanks for bringing us here, visited trackables.

Tasmania Day 5: Devonport - Cradle Mountain - Queenstown

On this leg of the Tassie Tour, we leave Devonport and head towards Cradle Country for a short sojourn before entering the Western Wilderness. We drove from Devonport, up the Forth River Valley into the National Park for a short walk around Dove Lake and the Enchanted Walk before having lunch nearby. After lunch, we drove into the remote but spectacular Western part of Tasmania where the road wound through spectacular valleys and lakes. Another beautiful and great day in Tassie and of course, there was caching is some of these brilliant places. Thanks for all the caches along the way!

This is the specific log for this cache:
Last cache for the day, picked up together with the nearby EC. This was a rather nice walk on the moraine, and after following the instructions and the hint, the cache was quickly found as stated. TFTC!

With a bit of time off and a chance to get away from Sydney was what I needed TeamMerlin was also free at the time. So Tasmania seemed to be a good place to spend about a week. It has been a while since I last went when I was there for photography and before I knew about Geocaching. We found a lot of nice caches including one of the oldest caches which was a Hide month I was missing. A lot of puzzles had been solved either before we went down or the night before between us. While here we also visited a lot of EarthCache and learnt a lot more about what makes up Tasmania

With cache in hand we signed the log and replaced as found. Both the cache and log are in good condition. Thanks for bringing me to the area and thanks for placing the cache thomarter

I left Adelaide ten days ago and slowly made my way across to Melbourne, then across on the ferry, and now I’m headed to Hobart, primarily to catch up with family and friends. But I have also been chasing down some selected caches, as well as a few opportunistic finds along the way.

Today I travelled from near Stanley, down to Queenstown via Tullah, then on to Bronte Lagoon where I camped.

I stopped here opportunistically, and found it to be a really interesting little spot.

Thanks thomarter for the cache.

Tassie Trip Day 39 - It is time for another day out in the country side from Queenstown it is lots of trips as the density is very low for caches so we went to Zeehan today with and couple of detours to cover some of those more remote caches so Trial Harbour and a really lonly cache that is on the other side of the river from Corinnia just to collect another smilie.

Today began at this GLACIAL ERRATICS cache and found some interesting looking rocks along the way to the GZ at GZ the cache was soon hand and the necessary infromation left.

Thanks thomarter for showing us this interesting place to stop and cache.

Reperio at 1315.

As the family and I were headed from Hobart to Cradle Mountain today, we kept our stops to a minimum, however this one looked interesting. We parked at the signboard and wandered along the trail to GZ where the cache was quickly discovered. The erratic here were wonderful, and the kids loved the walking trail and the tall boulders along the way. Great spot.

Gratias thomarter.

Driving from Moina to Strahan today, enjoying the views and caching, including a few detours as they take us to interesting places. Great to see these huge boulders and the glacial moraine. You could set an earthcache here too! No problems finding the cache after stopping to look at the boulders and plaques on the way up the hill. Have a favourite point for drawing this to our attention. SL. TFTC.

Hi there thomarter.

We found your cache **"GLACIAL ERRATICS"** at 2:53:00 PM today. (This makes our grand total 18941).

We are camped at Zeehan for a couple of nights, and headed down to Queenstown today to ride on the West Coast Wilderness Railway. We thoroughly enjoyed the drive - steep and winding roads are much easier without the caravan - and the ride on the train. We ended up finding a variety of container types, and sizes on our journey. Our find count for today was 4 caches, with 0 DNF's. SmileBig Grin

Thanks for placing the cache here. Without geocaching as our guide we would never have found so many interesting places on our travels.

**Coordinate Accuracy:** We found this cache around 2m from where the GPS said we should be looking. Wink
**Cache Condition:** The container and log book are in good shape.
**Took:** Nothing.
**Left:** A Smiley Badge.

Thanks for the hunt today,

Regards

Ian & Penny.

Caching our way around the West coast after the Oz Day event with SSRat and Goose&Egg. After making it clear that it was too hot and there would be no more walking up hills today we came across this cache so off we went of course. Very interesting walk and yes worth getting out of the car in the heat for. TFTC
