Logs

One or more of the following has occurred:

No response from the cache owner.
No cache to find or log to sign.
It has been more than 28 days since the last owner note.

As a result I am archiving this cache to keep from continually showing up in search lists and to prevent it from blocking other cache placements.

If you wish to repair/replace/make available the cache sometime in the near future (next 28 days), just contact a reviewer (by email), and assuming it meets the current guidelines, the reviewer will be happy to unarchive it.

Should you replace the cache after 28 days has passed please create a new cache listing so it can be reviewed as a new cache.

The cache appears to be in need of owner intervention.
I am temporarily disabling it, to give the owner an opportunity to check on the cache, and take whatever action is necessary.

Please respond to this situation in a timely manner (i.e., within 28 days) to prevent the cache from being archived for non-responsiveness.

If you require more time please be sure to post a note (not an email) explaining the situation and how much more time you require.

For ongoing issues please ensure you visit the page and post a note every 28 days to keep everyone up to date or the cache will be treated as an abandoned cache and archived without further notice.

10months is ridiculous. If you want a replacement cache and waterproof log let us know we are happy to help!

But otherwise I want 10months on ALL of my caches to maintain!

Great name; cache is truly waterlogged. Mickeydv tried to write on the log but it seemed pointless. Thanks for the cache blob_; great views from here.

A hot public holiday so time for a swim to collect this one... didn't take my gps with me, so swam to one side and searched and then the other and searched with no luck. Swam back to the first side and instead of searching from above, climbing up onto the wooden horizontals, I did a floating search. Bingo Smile Climbed back up to open the cache and sign log. Unfortunately this isn't waterproof despite being hard to open - it even cut my hands up a bit trying to open it. Found Felix's waterproof log sheet ,but even that is getting a bit sodden now. Signed it as much as I could with a wet pen. Fun way to spend half hour or so Big Grin

Well this has taken some master planning to get to this cache. And I am so pleased it was to be this morning which was a balmy 15degrees at 7am as opposed to Thursday which was 1degree and Friday which was 2 degrees.

Mrs Felix worked night shift last night so was in Midland ready to head home and Mr Felix packed the inflatable in the geocruiser already inflated last night. I can tell you though when the alarm went off at 6am this morning he was really questioning his sanity!! Surprised

Anyways we met on the shore near the cache just after 7am. What we hadn't thought about was the Avon Descent being only a few weeks away. So whilst setting up the inflatable and getting organised a power boat came roaring up the river and almost caused a tidal wave, this wasn't giving Mr Felix much confidence heading out into the river looking overboard!

He bravely pushed off from shore and headed to GZ. As he approached out of nowhere 2 kayaks came racing past. They were very busy though keeping time so they raced onwards, leaving a bit of wake for Mr Felix to ride out but all was good.

Cache located but alas the log was just too sodden to do anything with. The cache container is obviously not waterproof. He came back to shore and we have replaced it with a write in the rain logsheet, but whilst it may last longer, it isn't a permanent solution.

This was a great cache and such a magnificent morning to do it. But do be careful over the next few weeks as Avon Descent approaches, the river is quite busy. Some photo's to be attached.

A fave for sure blob. TFTC. Cool

This afternoon I went for a paddle with friends to seek out this cache. We put in at Kings Meadow Oval and paddled upstream to the bridge. An easy find once there. The log was soggy on the outer layers. I though the waterproofing might have failed slightly but as the inner layers were ok it may just be due to wet handling. Perhaps the log could be replaced with more water resistant paper. Thanks for a good excuse for an afternoons paddle. I left a GA moveable frog nearby.

FTF at 1:00pm. Big Grin

Who can resist going for a dip on a lovely 25 degree day? The water was a bit brrrrrrrr though...
Luckily I spotted the cache straight away when I arrived at GZ, unfortunately I couldn't open it for the life of me! I thought for a while I was going to have to take it back to dry land with me, but I kept working on it, and eventually managed to get it open!

Woohoo!! Thanks for the cache blob_ Smile
