Tried to decipher hint and comments, but couldn't find cache. There were many people around due to a local game being played, so didn't want to snoop around too much.

We had already been here once before earlier on in the day. We read some past logs and were certain we knew where it would be but were still coming up empty handed. We left and searched elsewhere for some caches, but this one kept on bothering us. We came back with new intel and had stopped off to buy a TOTT.

It was exactly where we thought it would be. The first time we couldn’t get it, but this time was different, we were armed with supplies from the local Overflow and it worked a treat.

Go the King! Super happy to have this one found, sneaky hiding spot. Leaving a FP for cleverness.

TFTC. I needed this rare D.T for my grid as there is'nt one in my local area. So I had ear-marked it as a must do next time I was in Brisbane for work. Today was the day and after I had pre read the hint and all the logs prior I turned up to GZ pretty confident for a find. I parked parallel to the wall for privacy to search, knowing roughly what to look for and where, and guess what ? A find in under 2 minutes, now that rarely happens. Have a F.P for the clever hide.

This cache is officially annoying Razz
I popped by again this morning for another half hour of looking ...
... with predictable results Red Face

Bah !! Humbug !!

02-Sep-17
Out to do a challenge today (25 different D/T's) with geofriends. This was my 2 time here to locate, first time unsuccessful. This time we were successful. TFTC.

02-Sep-17
On a mission today with geo friends to complete the Unique Difficulty/Terrain Challenge (QLD) and my goodness I would never have retrieved this without someone bringing a different type of ToT. It did help that we had a previous finder with us who hinted we were in the right spot to start our search.
Thanks geckomaster62 for the very clever hide and is worthy of a favorite point from me, TFTC Smile

I'll come back firefighters doing training at the spot I need

5th of the day, OCW ESCR so I could complete my 25d/t in a day and it ended up being 30 d/t in a day. Im glad to be able to turn this frown upside down into a smile. I found it in the first place I looked and I swear to god I looked there last time I was here. Also I think this one may suffer from cache creep as many of my paf's last time had me looking down the wrong end. TFTC Smile

07-Jun-17
Well that was a surprise that I found it given its D4 rating. Thought I'd just check out the area n go home n think about it for a bit and have an informed look at another time but was signing the log within 10 minutes so happy girl me! Gotta be worth a fave point for that and its clever hide. TFTC Smile

04-Jun-17
I checked this one for an hour I also used a few paf's to get a narrowed down search area. There has been recent mowing and maintenance around here, maybe the owner could check on this one.

01-May-17
I've been eyeing this one for some time, and finally a sunny public holiday seemed a good time. With help from the geodog (who was briefly curious, but quickly bored), I pried and probed. Some suspicious damage was a bit of a pointer and before long, I had the prize in hand!

TFTC!

This is an excellent position for plane spotting! When I wasn't watching the planes I searched for the cache. I had an idea where it would be, and I was correct but it still took some time to actually find it. I must have touched the cache several times. I decided it must be in a particular location, so I probed further and came up with the cache. TFTC

I was here for an 18th party after a bit of searching and looking at previous logs I finally had it in hand and signed

We took a break from doing the Smiley Puzzle Series by pooping in here while the park was empty - not a Muggle in sight. Perfect for a geocache hunt in an otherwise crowded place. We looked here and there, and shortly came to the conclusion that we should :"lift" our game a bit! That strategy worked. Clever hide. But I think we were the 'stars' today Hehe. [xx(]

Log signed & replaced again. Found at 9.50am on 7th January 2017. TFTC

This was my very first visit into this one and I must say it was almost a case of leaving with a DNF! Surprised
I must have been searching for around twenty minutes or so, and thought that I had exhausted all possibilities [?] I'd read through several logs and tried a few different things, but nothing seemed to be producing a cache Razz
Anyhow, I was about to leave, but decided that I should improvise a bit more and do a more thorough check of the only real possible locations after I'd discounted everything else Smile
Hmmm, noticed a bit of an anomaly [^] Dug a little deeper, and realised that something was indeed there in that spot! Big Grin So, I eventually extracted the cache and dutifully added my name to the list of geocachers who have found this very tricky cache Smile
Well, it is a D4 afterall, so I shouldn't have been expecting it to be easy, and this one certainly wasn't an easy find. I thought I was going home to message previous finders for a hint, but luckily no need to do that now Smile
Another tricky part to this cache was getting it back into position ready for the next finder. I think I did that properly, as I'd hate it to come loose and get muggled Sad I did several checks to make sure it was staying there, so it should be ready for the next visitor in here looking to find this one [^]
Very pleased to get this one, as it is a combination I needed for my D/T grid Cool
Thanks for the cache geckomaster62 Smile

I was in town today for an Alumni lunch which (not surprisingly) lasted a bit longer than intended [^] So my plan for some late-afternoon Loop-6 & Loop-7 DT hunting was well and truly cut short. However, this rather notorious King Wally Hide was firmly in my cross-hairs and was not going to be missed, so was first cab off the rank once I got underway.

Based on previous logs, I took the advice to park my car flush up against the wall so as to completely obscure my search attempt from prying eyes. I also came armed with: some TOTT's to aid with the extraction, plus a little bit of *insider knowledge* Wink In the end it took about 15 minutes to unearth the cunning Hide Twisted and even then it was quite by accident as the box literally **fell-out** of its hiding place once I 'bumped' it with sufficient accuracy.

Wow am I pleased to have turned this one into a Smilie. Desperate to find a 10+favourite cache and this one did not fail me tonight. I have looked several times before without success. TFTC

TFTC! 2nd ones here today, we always love it when we see that Smile

Wow this was seriously well hidden! Out and about on a glorious sunny afternoon with geohubby and Mitchiemus, who gave us a hand. TFTC.

My best mate played for the stars back in the 80's. Wally's billboard brings back memories. I got to see a few of his games but most special was his last State of Origin. Great cache..... and perfectly placed!!!

Giving a shout out to bac2bas6. Thanks for the help. I knew where it was just didn't know how to get at it. Tftc. Finally tickled it off after two times

While searching for caches to find while attending a CITO event at Meadowlands recently, saw this one and thought it would be an interesting one to try and find.

Well today I was at Cannon Hill shopping and thought I'd try my luck on finding it. Arrived at GZ and after reading all the info on this, had an idea of where it could be. Pulled everything, pushed what I could, prised what I could but nothing appeared. Luckily at 2pm no-one was around to see me wandering aimlessly along this wall. Spent over 30 minutes checking every hidey place a cache could be but still couldn't find it.

While sitting in car reading logs, a car pulled up two spots away from me and a guy got out with a walkie talkie and started looking around the building like he was looking for someone. I decided to take a walk away from the car park to give him some space and he took one more look around and got back into his car and drove off. I did not see any security cameras around so maybe there are eyes watching from further away. After one more scan of the area, I decided to call this a DNF and will have to try another day.

After many attempts due to muggles can finally take this one off our bucket list yeh Smile

06-Feb-16
Out for an afternoon of caching with stortigirls. This cache would fill a spot on the D/T grid for us both, so it was a must find. I had a pretty good idea where the cache might be, but despite our best efforts, we were unable to find it. We did check a couple of other spots just to be sure. They also revealed nothing. Back to the first spot and still no luck. We retreated home to grab a few tools that might assist us in our search. Upon our return, we began to search again. I made a quick PAF to confirm that the cache was where I had thought. I was right all along!! Using the tools we had brought from home made searching a little easier. Just as I was beginning to think that the was missing, we moved a tool slightly and the cache slid from its hiding spot with ease. We added our name to the log and returned the cache to its hiding spot before heading on our way. TFTC

06-Feb-16
When setting off to find this cache, we expected it to be a mission...and we were not disappointed. After an initial (extended) search, we retreated to home for additional tools and returned determined to make a find. Although we were fairly sure where we should be concentrating the search a PAF was made to confirm our suspicions. Yes, we have to look there...again Razz A short time later, and thankfully with all the skin on our hands intact, we had the log in hand. Tftc and the challenge geckomaster62 Big Grin

30-Jan-16
Finally!!! This one has driven me to restless nights thinking about it's location. countless times driving past and too many muggles around to look, by far the most frustrating cache!

With the help of the previous finder giving us a faint clue, I managed to narrow it down to where I thought it would be....yes yes yes!

It wasn't as difficult to retrieve as I thought, however I am missing some skin on my finger. The clues are all there in the description....ah hindsight, what a wonderful thing Smile Thanks for the cache....I think!

27-Jan-16
Having read the logs I wasn't hopeful with this one but had to give it a shot because of the unique D/T.

The rain stopped just as I finished my lunch and I headed over to it.

When I saw how exposed GZ was I was dismayed. The car park was full and the traffic on Wynnum Rd was constant.

While I did a recent, another car pulled into the driveway right in front of me and the driver just sat there.

I walked back and forth a couple of times running my fingers along edges and nothing.

I sat down and had a think about it. I noticed a couple of key elements from the description and had seen a cache recently that I thought would be the likely container type so was heartened that maybe it was still here.

With no privacy to have a good looked, I decided to park myself in front of the spot I thought it was hiding and just 'loiter'.

While 'loitering' I fiddled around behind my back and after a minute or two my fingertip touched something. A further digital examination and I was sure that I had found what i was after.

It took a little bit of work to extract, although working just through touch behind my back wasn't as hard as it sounds, and I had a log in hand.

Gave this one a good half hour of searching....going on the past logs, makes me wonder if it has moved from it's original GPS location? Any clues would be good!

27-Nov-15
Finally, after several abortive attempts, I've managed to put this one to rest.

Sneaky indeed. I'm sure I looked there last time.

TFTC.

Out for a caching play date with barbbowman and bubba89 - we had come to this cache as it filled a space for bubba89's D/T grid. [^] Having arrived at ground zero we commenced our search, but it was taking us some time to find what we needed - we even had a previous finder with us but it would seem the cache was now not in the same position. We eventually sent a message to a recent finder to see if we could get a nudge in the right direction and headed to the nearest coffee shop until we received a response.

Armed with some further information, we returned to ground zero but it still took quite a fair bit of looking before we finally found the cache and were eventually able to add our names to the log. We then made our way back to the car for some more adventures. Big Grin

Thank you geckomaster62 for having placed the cache for everyone to enjoy Cool

Found. Log to follow.

04-Oct-15
Attempt number 2 at this one . Previous visit with a previous finder didn't help . This time we were determined to stick around until we had it in hand.
After an initial look, a subsequent look and a paf we tried a new approach with a cacheing tool of sorts . Soon enough the cache appeared and the log was signed . Tftc

Out on a geocaching adventure today with DiamonJs and JooJoo57. DiamonJs has chosen the caches to be found today so she can fill her 'Caches Hidden Date Challenge'. This was not one but was close to one she needed to find and it sounded very intriguing so was one of the few extras on our list today. It took a while - and as we were testing out our chosen suspect hide location we made a PAF to confirm our suspicions. We were indeed in the right place. It was just harder to extract than we expected. We tried a variety of unconventional 'tools' and our last effort paid our dividend. We are very happy to add our signatures to this log. Thanks geckomaster62. A pretty sneaky 'container' and hide location. [^][^]

Out for a day of caching madness with diamonjs and Aussie Liahona to assist diamonjs complete a challenge. Even though it wasn't on our list it was a bit of a challenge. TFTC geckomaster62.

Today Aussie Liahona and joojoo57 and I set out with a specific task, get my hidden dates calendar finalised then think of others, but then Aussie Liahona said there is one nearby that is interesting, so as geocachers are we got side tracked. I had looked at it as a possibility but looked at difficulty and went no not going there. Hmm sure we have got the right spot, lots of prodding and nothing but a PAF said you are right, many thoughts evolved and a few new things will be added to our caching kits in future and we now have a smilie on this one. Loved it and a fav point from me, TFTC

Friday. Slow Puncture ventured out to the dark side, to Linden-land, and in the company of said cacher, picked up a few randoms.

First up, this cache represents one of our few chances to fill in the D4/T1 spot on our grid, so today was the perfect time to get it.

Hmmm, pesky cache! In there???!!! Surprised But where? Searching, searching, feeling feeling... Hard to imagine something could be here. But, on the second sweep, it was located. That's one interesting hide indeed.

All of the while, Wally looked down on us, approvingly Wink Hey Wally: "Go the Easts Tigers" Razz

This was the 1st of 6 caches we found on this trip.

Thanks [Blue]geckomaster62[/Blue], for showing us this interesting place.

Almost 3 years to the day since my last logged visit. I think I may have been back once since then but I was defeated after several misses at bat. Today after batting about 500 for the morning I thought I'd have another swing.

I did what I did on my previous visits with much the same result.

OK - take your time, close your eyes and "feel the force young ...".

I felt a disturbance in the force and then it appeared - like magic.

I was free.

thanks for the years of frustration and anxiety everytime I headed up creek road geckomaster62. But now I can go to that big green shed without ducking my head and looking vaguely north west and trembling with ......

Needed this one to plug a gap in our DT chart, so stopped in with Mrs OC on the way to yum cha at Sunnybank. Was a bit of a search despite having a good idea of where to look, and a PAF only confirmed our suspicions. Of course, we checked everywhere but THERE! Thanks for a great challenge. Funny, as we were about to leave, a guy came and parked right next to us despite an empty lot, then when we moved off he took the spot we were in. Seems we were parked in HIS spot!

21-May-15
The night started with dinner at a local leagues club and ended with me on sticking my hand in unpleasant places for a significant period of time.

When we got the GZ there were lots of netball players around some extremely close to GZ. We started off being stealthy and eventfully abandoned that in favour of a full on search.

After reading the logs and a hint from a (sometimes) friendly helper we found the cache.

We signed the log and put it back in position. Apparently some cache creep has happened here so it went back in the original position.

Great cache! TFTC

20-May-15
The night started off with dinner at the Carina Leagues Club with Ms Maddy and Genyo. After some delicious food and good conversation Ms Maddy highly recommended that we find this cache. So off we went. After a quick drive we were at GZ, we were a little cautious due to the nearby netball games and how many muggles were around but after some time that went out the window.
Ms Maddy sat back and relaxed while Genyo and I began the hunt... by relaxed I mean taunted lol. We were there for quite a while before we were given a hint in the form of a taunt and we had an idea of where the container might be.
Sadly that didn't speed up the process and it was another 10 or so minutes before we had the cache in hand.
I really enjoyed this cache and the company that came with it. TFTC!

Have been looking at this one on and off for a couple of weeks now, so while around the area today, we made a detour to see if we could find this cache.

After a short hunt, Mr Parko came up with the sneaky hide Smile

We thought we may be here for quite some time, so we were happy to be able to find this one relatively quickly

Found with misssusan, mnance, remsjw and jemillalucy today. After quite a search we were not sure where else to search. A quick hint from a friend guided us to the right spot, we were so close just needed to move a few inches over. All good here. Tftc

Tough mother Monday. Out fot a wet stroll. Tough alright. Read and reread the details a few times. Kept going back to the same spot. Perseverance got it in the end Wink tftc.

We'll say we found this one on the 12th because it was after midnight when we found it.

Out and about doing a few caches up at Mount Coot-Tha and thought we'd stop in on the way home to attempt this much talked about cache.

It must have taken us about 30 minutes to find and it must have been extremely suss with torchlight going all over the building. It really shouldn't have taken that long but the GPS was for some reason bouncing all over the place and both of us thought the other was looking after the actual ground zero. Eventually the cache popped out, was signed and replaced.

If you're considering this cache, then it is highly recommended that you get it done before the cold of winter kicks in. There could be some serious numbness if it's cold!

A night of caching with Monkey Maker and Lost 2 Found was the perfect way to spend Friday night. This was first on our list - second visit for me. Lots of looking, a pile of urine prevented us from looking where we thought - just about to give up hope when I was lucky enough to put my hand on it - sort of!
Thanks for a great cache - replaced the soaked log with a waterproof one. Favourite point from me.

A friday night caching bonanza was hatched earlier in the week so Hot Wheels Duo, Lost 2 Found and I agreed to meet here to kick off the night. The girls had been here not to long ago with no luck so I felt confident at least one of us would be able to find it. We searched for ages under the single spot light over head and we all gave up on more then one occasion but neither of us wanted to leave without finding it.
It was HWD's turn to have another go, I was about to head back to my car for a beer when I heard her say, "found it". Whoo hoo. Very clever indeed. The container and contents were wet which is probably why it was so hard to get hold of. HWD signed us all in on a new log sheet and replaced as found.
Thanx geckomaster62 for a cool hide

Out with Hot Wheels Duo and Monkey Maker for a few tricky hides.
A fare bit of searching to find this one but we were not going to give up.
Luck at last after following the trial.
Thanks for the hide geckomaster62

King Hit! Finally found the little bu99er! Checked with a previous finder who confirmed I was looking in the right place and came back today. Felt it's hidey hole once without finding it, did a bit of ""high fiving" checked again and felt sometching. Ah-ha cache in hand, skin missing from finger. Last finder must have had REALLY long fingers! Log signed and cache replaced. Thanks GM - this led me a merry chase!

Damn, my first DNF! As it's just down the road from work, I'll be back to find it, "I swear it will be done "

02-Jan-15
Lost 2 Found and I looked and looked and looked some more. We sweated and sweated and sweated some more. We PAF and then looked and looked and looked some more. Sadly, a DNF for us today - but with another hint we will be back real soon!

This was our meeting point for a day of caching. No luck today. I know you are there though.

Wow!! Sneaky hide!! Almost gave up after 10min search.........kept at it and bingo! Gotcha! TFTC!!...to top it off its King wallys first hunting ground. First brissie cache and a great one at that! Thx for bringing me to this "historic" site.....favourite point from me.

Having grown up in Brisbane's bayside suburbs I have been a fan of King Wally ever since he played for Wynnum Manly and it was great to see the home of the Cannon Hill Stars at close quarters today instead of tearing past in a car or train as I have done so on countless occasions before. I was not having much success at first and I had to phone a previous finder on another matter so I happened to mention where I was ! He confirmed my suspicions so I kept trying and I finally had the cunning cache in my hand.

Thanks GM62, I know a lot more about this famous club now and their illustrious players.

After many, many attempts at this one spanning over a couple of years I can finally tick this one off the list. It really has been a bit of a nemesis cache for me but thanks to a couple of hints from a Brother-in-arms I was able to grab this one on a fleeting trip to Brisbane.
Thanks Brother Colin for your help on this one and I don't know if I should be thanking Geckomaster for the cache or not Wink

cache find # 1468. We had been here some months ago, and couldn't get anywhere near GZ, as the place was busy with sports people. Today we had the place to ourselves, and it turned out to be a quick park and grab. Signed the log, and replaced as found. TFTC.

Visiting Morningside today for a dentist appointment and it finished early so I looked at my map to see if there were any close easy green ones. I saw this one only to see all those stars. Oh well I can come have a look anyway. Quiet here at 4 on a weekday. But the sun in this spot hurts. I tried everything without any tools or force as suggested. Nope. I thought I knew a way it could be hidden. Nope. About to leave and I tried something and it worked. Yay yay yay. I love your hides. Tftc. Now to battle peak hour traffic.

30-Nov-13
Oh there you are, you little bugger!!! [^]

Met with Swellerfungus - great to meet you - and we reasoned where and what the container might possibly be. This guided some of the search effort but we still ended up going through the place more or less thoroughly, both of us a couple of times.

Any of the screws? - Possibly not.
Behind any of the signs? - No sign of that either.
Any anomalies on the wall? - Not that we see of.
Touchy feely throughout but nothing came up. Twisted

How can this be so elusive here???
After 25 minutes on about the fifth attempt in going through the whole area, something irregular met my fingers. Can this be true - I had already checked that a number of times?
Well, folks, it was true! Big Grin It took some negotiation to fish the container out, and a few minutes later the names were scribbled on the logsheet.

Careful insertion back, and it was time for a big wide smile.

BTW, it was rather wet this morning, adding to the determination to get this out quickly, as there was no question whether we'd stay for a picnic here. That also caused the logsheet to get some water on it, hopefully it dries up OK.

Hopes of grabbing a few more smilies this morning were washed down the drain with the rain.
But I got what I came here for, #400.

Thanks to tidimdad I can claim a find on this one!
He arranged through the geocaching Brisbane facebook page for an assault on this one. I woke up to some serious rain, and thought it would be off, but what the hey...at least it wouldn't be bust today! After 10 minutes searching on my own another car rocks up with my fellow cacher. We searched and sloshed, tested and dripped, discussed and discovered. Even though we both tried the ultimate discovery point several times it was not me who had the aha moment. This one deserves its difficulty rating indeed.
Thanks to GM for my cache for the day!

Only checked the difficulty after arriving. Not too sure of the location at first as it seemed to be within the building. After reversing the factor of blocking objects and going through the description pretty sure we had the right side. Will have to come back though Sad.

I was heading for home back to the lighter side of town but still had a small amount of time to use up. A quick look at the map and this cache stood out to me. I parked Spangle nice and close to give me a bit of cover from any passing nosey muggles. Hmmmm, if I was a cache where would I hide? I started on a thorough search of the area and after quite a few minutes I finally had the cache in hand. Sneaky!

Found the GZ all right, but where's the cache? Parked the car to provide some cover from the group on the opposing field, but where's the container?
Actually, what on earth should I be looking for here???

This was to be my #350 but somehow another hide might become it...

Thanks for the mystery, GM62! Smile

Found under torch light with muggles just around the corner. This one took a little bit of searching and a few sore fingers but it was soon in our hands. Great hide with the stars watching our move. TFTC

Out today with Wazza&Kara and Newimagepm and heading home after an awesome day caching on North Stradbroke Island. We couldn't give up the opportunity to attack this one and turn it into a smily face.

Only problem tonight was whilst it was under the cover or darkness - our approach, there was a private function on at the residence and one set of muggles after another arrived wiith headlights blearing. Whilst, at first, tisi was annoying in the end it served somewhat to shed light on a tricky situation.

With a little prompting from the audience the cache was finally located in a tricky spot.

I can appreciate why this cache hide gets a few DNFs.
A sneaky choice of container in a relatively exposed area.
It may have worked in our favour that we attempted this cache at night. There was a function on in the adjacent facility, but no one was outside so we could search safely.
When we did locate the cache we were unsure if it was in-fact the cache. It was only upon some closer examination that we discovered our efforts had been rewarded.
Thanks Geckomaster62 for this creative hide. Worth every star.

Took a little while to find. No real dramas in end. Needed a cache tool to retrieve.

Found this on the way back from the city. As we got closer and closer, it appeared that this would not be an easy find. (hint the 4 star difficulty) We set off searching around a blank wall for a fake bolt or a crack in the bricks. Smile As geomother was looking on one half of the wall, i was looking on the other and noticed a black thing just hanging there. I touched it and it went further up to a place where i could NOT reach it. Sad I pulled the sign back and out popped a black shadow. I ran away think it was a spider. When i had another looked, there it was. Smile TFTC Geckomaster62!

Whatever a PAF is, I think I need one.....................
Explored a number of possibilities and stopped short of unscrewing likely possibilities....................
I found Wally and lots of King clues but no cache...................... checked many places where long fingers would be an advantage with no avail
This one will give me sleepless nights................. If help is available on this one I may need it until I become more experienced at micros.................. [I] [?]

Out running errands on a day off, not planning to do any caching when I saw this and was challenged! Sat and thought for a while trying to think it through, then had a brainstorm ... cache quickly in hand! Thanks for a wonderfully thought out cache, GM62. TFTC.
