In the area yesterday for a few of this series, back today and thankfully this one a lot easier to get to. Love the contour tftc
The turning point of our walk, a quick find after a circle around GZ. It was warming up by this point of the morning so back into shaded channel we went. TFTC!
We wanted a couple more caches in the area before heading home, so we decided to grab a couple more of this series. We enjoyed the nice walk to gz and once there this one had us searching for awhile. We finally hit on the right spot just a few metres off where our gps had us. We added our names to your log and returned your cache back to where we found it. TFTC Allied Pranksters Crew.
With axell33 we are taking small bites out of this series and enjoying when we come up this way. Love the trails through the bush and great views. We had to search this one by moving out a bit from the gz circle, but we got it! Thanks for the hide here.
Last find for the day and second half of the CCC series done. I was expecting to climb on the pipe the whole way but was surprised to see mostly flat trails to each cache. Highly recommend this series so far.
Quickish find after an awesome trail run. So many caches in here...I'll get to them one day.
This was a good hide, but a quick find for Nude75cruiser and myself
Signed the log and returned back to hidey-spot.

Had a good look & could not find this one. It would be a shame to see the series disappear so we replaced it with an M&M tube under a rock. Hope thats OK.
A bit late logging this cache but found it all the same!

Realised how far we'd walked when we got to Canning Mills rd and was impressed. Decided to head back for the afternoon after this cache and went back and picked up 3 monster field mushrooms we'd seen on the way. TFTC
Back for my second leg of this spectacular series offering views, spectacular views and even greater views.
Probably the easiest find for me in the series to date.

Walking the CCC channel on a blustery day from CM rd going north with Geoaddict84. Find #1
Found AP 213 C=C=C 13. This is the transition point from AP 213 C=C=C 13 to AP 214 C=C=C 14. In between the two caches is the Canning Mills Rd. Cache is dry and healthy. TNLN SL TFTH Barnzy12.

tra logging coz fra is exhausted from his big day out with KrabiBoy and bigTcup while i was working and I also believed this was beyond my capabilities lol. Great day was had with 16kms and 20,000 steps clocked up. Thanks to all involved in placing and maintaining this series. Apologies for the c & p log.
11th find of the day here and short break and detour to pick up a multicache.

I've been wanting to do this series for a long time, and after seeing some photos on the facebook page, decided to make it happen.
I teamed up with fratra and bigTcup to come and grab our smilies. We parked three cars along the way to make things easier and set off from #23.
Nice easy park up and grab! Time for a breather.

SpatialRiq, Jinta29 and I made plans to tackle this series before the rumors we had heard came true that it maybe archived (1 year later logging them it turned out not to happen as they have been adopted out)
I don’t know what I was really expecting but it was not the extreme variety of terrain and how long the day was from start to finish.
Walking the pipe covered all results, from completely clear and low to the ground to so high up a fall may hurt or at least put you on the ground with no way back up, overgrown drains that saw us on our knees crawling (well me anyway) to walking on the edge of steep slopes as the bush was too thick to push through.
Verdict: Freaking amazing! What a blast !
Forgive the generic log, I have since lost any trail notes that I did take as it is now just under a year ago (359 days) since I had the adventure.

After a bit of talk about this series on Facebook a couple of weeks ago AlliedOz, SpatialRiq and I hatched a plan to head off and grab these smileys We grabbed all of the active caches in the series and a couple of others nearby . A great day out and I can thoroughly recommend it as a WA must do series. A 7.5 hour epic that will have us bragging for some time to come!

Organised to tackle this series a few weeks back with Jinta29 and AlliedOz, so with much excitement we met up around 7:30am and got underway.
Did #23 to #1 plus several nearby caches, then after lunch headed South picking up a couple in Roleystone then did the remaining #29 to #40.
Great weather, great company and truly a great series that has it all. Stunning views, some challenging terrain and we learn a bit of history. Yet another part of Perth that, if it weren't for geocaching, I would have never know about or seen.
13th find of the day. Ended up with 52 finds all up. TFTC.

After the rain from yesterday had cleared it was time to head out on the pipeline again for a full on assault. Being on my own meant I was covering every section of pipe twice, moving the car between some sections.
I started off the day with 13-11 and 14-15 from a parking bay on Canning Mills Rd, then moved down to Contour Rd to tackle 23-16. I then picked up the 2 odd ones, and then parked the car near 29 and did the rest up to 39, and returned on the bitumen road.
All up I walked around 12kms, phew.
This was a good start to the day with a quick and easy find here, and easy walking.
Thanks for the cache Allied Pranksters!

Took an "ouch those prickly bushes really hurt" path to the cache after parking nearby. Have completed a number of these now and am looking forward to tackling #14 to #23 another day.
TFTC! This is my third and final leg of this epic caching series. Had a couple of hours spare on a lovely Sunday afternoon so Mr JLotos and I teamed up to conquer this leg.
Was a good three hour walk starting at 23 and planning to finish at 14. From reports this was meant to be the hardest slog of the series. We found the going tough at 21, and considerably easier from there. We remarked that it was "surprisingly easier than expected", and then almost at an instant it got nasty again.
I think this time of year is ideal to complete the series as the snakes should be away and the vegetation hasn't quite regrown since summer, so it looked considerably easier than some of the pictures. There has been a lot of work undertaken around the trail with a lot of land cleared by tractors I believe to create fire breaks.
Was summed up well by another cacher; "if not completed, this would leave a serious hole in any WA cachers CV". Thanks AP
After completing the planned run and with a couple of minutes of spare daylight. I showed him where I had looked and then saw a good setup and uncovered the cache and then realised it was a replacement. Thanks for doing that, I'll be back to cleanup my other DNFs.

Today was a blank day in my caching calender and originally I was due to be driving back from down south with any number of caches to choose from. However we cut the camping trip short due to the weather and came back yesterday so after cleaning out the back of the ute this afternoon in the rain I had to go out caching as well, at least I was already wet.
After having a DNF at a supposedly easy find nearby I checked the phone and saw that this one might be accessible from the road. Parked up and made the 80 odd meter walk to GZ in the pouring rain, searched around for a bit but came up empty handed.
Decided to head to number 14 to try and fill the blank in the calender there although it does have a rather high terrain rating, should be interesting in this weather.

Fathers day fun Grabbed my father in law, brother in law, son and lilly the dog. Was going to just have a quick look at a few and this was the first one for the day, but they all loved it and we made it all the way to Turner rd. 4km of fathers day laughs and caching perfection Thanks for the series
Out today with geobuddy Mark, heading up to do the Kanadian Bash. Stopped by to grab a few of this series on the way up. Quick find here today. Thanks Allied Pranksters
I was looking for a cache or two for today and this one came to mind it's relatively close to the road (sun was almost down) and I was short of time. It was a quick find, though had I have gone an extra 50 mtrs along the road I would have noticed the track just below the cache - instead I walked through the prickles wearing shorts so now I'm suffering from thousands of little scratches making my legs itch like hell . This is my first find for this series - opening my account and leaving me with the remainder to hunt later in the year perhaps . SL - no swaps. Thanks to Allied Pranksters for the cache
Meeting up with the CO again here, and it was a quick find by Kyzabra. With last minute plans finalised, we were off to the next one ... TFTC AP
This trip had been on the radar for some time.
Ooh-Yeh and and I had a false start a few months ago when the weather was against us. Now there was Jasenjanine, Ooh-Yeh, and myself set to make the journey.
The weather was "PERFECT" , and I mean ABSOLUTELY PERFECT. No rain for a couple of days. The meant for dry scrub, and dry pipe. And a pefect strike rate for our finds today
We headed off at 7.20 in the morning, and started at number 40.
Many yarns and stories shared along the way with only one minor spill on the pipe.
A fantsastic day out which I strongly reccomend to all.
We were fortunate enough to have the CO drop us at the start, and run us between the middle section. Thanks so much for this.
Met up with the C/O again and a quick find here by myself. We confirmed our plans and parted company with him as we continued down the path.
Thanks for a fantastic series Allied Pranksters,

Kyzabra and I had made a plan last September 2013 to tackle this series and at that time the heavens had opened up and dumped its load so it was then into recon mode to scope out how to tackle this one and grab a few close ones while waiting for the rain to stop .
We then spoke to the CO who kindly offered to pick us up drop us of at the given points just needed our dates to line up .
Well today was our day and the team was put together Kyzabra , Jasenjanine and myself armed with all the necessary requirements for a full day out the weather was at its best not a cloud in the sky. We arrived at the CO house early who kindly dropped us off at the starting point and collect us at the next point which was great as there is no real parking close by.
The views are incredible with the day being so perfect which made up for all the prickle bushes ,scratches and sore limbs that was accrued though out the day
We walked on top of the pipe and in the col-vent the whole way, only one slip on the pipe by Jase whilst trying to grab something on his way down was a blackberry bush all I can say was OUCH but alas no injury .
Many stories were told as we made away along the pipe and the caches were come up very quick just needed the time to find them some were quick a couple had us scratching our heads as three GPS's would not settle and giving out mixed readings but in the end all were found log signed and maintenance completed .
Thanks for the series AP

Almost back to the car after an hours bush bashing and climbing, the water bottle was empty and my shirt was sticking to my back, isn't geocaching fun. It took me a little longer than usual to find this one but I approached GZ from another angle and spotted the container. Last one for the day, time to go and pick up my wife.
TFTC Allied Pranksters, I'll be back for the rest in the cooler months.

So I thought that today would be the perfect day to tackle the C=C=C 01-23 series of caches with fine weather forecast. But this day had everything - completely clear skies, full sun and then dark clouds followed by torrential showers! But I didn't think that rain was forecast? This was a great adventure. I saw scores of kangaroos, a gazillion biting ants, many beautiful butterflies, one dugite snake, one bobtail lizard and one freshly dead dog. The bush is super thick right now making it very hard to trek along some parts. Miraculously, I managed to find 23 out of 23 of this series that I attempted! Looking forward to returning to Roleystone to continue the journey soon. TFTC Allied Pranksters
Took Dad for a drive after belated Fathers Day lunch and movie! He was delighted to find an orchid nearby. Left: Round Tuit. TFTC!
Been thinking about doing the C-C-C series for a while and thought it would be good to do it with dad (froggy1948) since he had worked on this channel back in his hey day.
We parked near #1 and headed towards Canning Mills road collecting the caches as we went for our first section. It was a nice clear cool day and the views of the city at the start are great. Flowers are out in full at this time of year. Got some nice stories from dad about the channel as we went too. Found dad's first evidence of work on the channel near cache #6 (didn't find that cache today tho!). Forgot to take a pic of it too, so will be back to find #6 and take a photo We made it to Canning Mills road 2.5 hours later with cache #13 in hand and glad to finish that section of the trek.
With a little bit of energy left in us we thought we can do another section and take advantage of a cool day. We drove to Contour Rd and headed towards Canning Mills again. Boy did this second section take some work. When AP mentioned "If you like thick bush, steep hills, balancing on a pipe, great views, ... , ants that attack if you stand still" then this is the bit he was talking about. Cache 23 to 20 is very hilly, Between Cache 20 and 16 we were covered in ants. and many times you have to fight the over grown prickly bush trying to stick to some kind of path. By the time we got to #14 near Canning Mills we were stuffed.
Thouroughly enjoyed today's outing and looking forward to the next lot closer to Canning Dam. A great effort AP for putting these caches out.

We found this after doing the return walk towards Turner road. This contour line track is a great walk and not too overtaxing if taken in smaller parts.
Pleasant walk along the old channel to find what we could of this series. Prickle bush is a bit tricky but we got most. TFTC

We had already completed one section of the C=C series when they were first published, getting some FTFs along the way.....and then we have been procrastinating about returning to complete some more.
With the cooler weather and an urge to find some real bush caches we decided we had waited long enough. We made quick finds of all the caches from 13 to 23 with the exception (there is always an exception) of number 21.
This is a challenging series of caches that we thoroughly enjoyed finding. The terrain was difficult and prickly in places and the pipe was quite difficult to get back up onto once off.... Mrs AusTrackers needed a bit of a shove more than once.
#13 was the first for the day, not far from where we parked the car to start our hunting. A quick find on level ground

Today's mission was to complete the two legs of the C=C=C series between Turner Road and Contour Road. So, I parked on Canning Mills Road close to C=C=C 14 and tackled C=C=C 14 to 23 first, then backtracked and did C=C=C 13 to 07. The mission was accomplished, and I also grabbed Papa was a Roley-Stone as a bonus!
13! Terrain here is much more friendly than the leg I just completed ... looked in the wrong place first, then found easily when I looked in the right place'

An easy find to end this leg of our journey. A lovely afternoon of walking through a beautiful section of bush. TFTC and TFTS
Finally had a chance to tackle the first leg of this series today after looking at it longingly for months but being unwilling to go by myself. I'm in awe of the work which must have gone into creating this series. I brought along two geo-newbies, they signed the logs in preparation for registering tonight.
And we made it! Approaching the end of our caching day we were hot and more than a little exhausted but also relaxed after walking through such beautiful bush.
The walk back up Canning Mills Rd to the car was full of rubbish, looks like a good place to spend an hour or so with the kids over the school holidays doing our bit for this lovely area.
Thanks for a most enjoyable day's caching AP, I'm very much looking forward to the next leg of the journey.

Couldn't ask for better weather today after the disaster of the other week.
Good chance today to sit back and appreciated the engineering marvel of this pipe.
No problems finding the remaining caches.
Thanks again to Allied Pranksters for bringing us to this little unknown piece of history..

Teamed up with Mr ILuvTrekking and Mr Richlink for another geocaching day. Mrs ILuvTrekking and Mrs Richlink dropped us off at the beginning of the series. The view from the hills were fantastic and we had prefect whether to conquer this series- not too hot and plenty of challenges along the way. Some of the floral was starting to bloom and we enjoyed the colours of the flowers.
I had a few spills and falls along the way that had me breathless at times and a few war wounds to share with others.
I throughly enjoyed myself! Thank you Mr. Richlink and MR. ILuvTrekking for this another great Geo caching day and thank you Allied Prankster for the great series.

Mrs iluvtrekking and I transported our two men and Mr Jacobscrew to the starting point of the series at 0830. We had arranged to meet them after they completed #23 to join them for lunch and to top up their water and snack supplies for the remainder of the trek. The series started off easily enough for the first half dozen caches then gradually the terrain increased in difficulty requiring the negotiating of the pipeline itself, while clambering over trees that had fallen across the pipeline and the concrete supports.
At #19 while two of the cachers were at ground level they came in contact with a very nervous dugite, with the third cacher scrambling out of its way by climbing the nearest tree! Back on the pipeline the guys had thoughts of boots with magnets in the soles coming in handy and wondering if these were going to be the next addtion to the caching gear. Well the magnetic boots would have come in handy to save Mr Jacobscew losing his footing and slipping from the pipeline at #22. iluvtrekking and richlink watched aghast and expected the worst but were relieved to see him land on his back with his backpack as protection, between two large rocks instead of splayed across them. After getting his breathe back, shaking off the bruised hip and wrenched ankle, it was back to the rest of the series. After replenishing their reserves with a well earned lunch break the three were determined to continue the series and knocked back our offer of a ride to #24. Although they thought they were past the worst of the terrain they were to later realise there was much more in store for them. A very pleasant surprise was picking up a joint FTF at #33 which gave them the incentive to surge onward to complete the final 7 caches in the series. Not one DNF!!
The guys did a fabulous job of completing all 40 caches in extreme terrain within 9 hours and they have no doubt it was their combined team work that got them through.
Thanks Allied Pranksters for another excellent series, apologies for the repeated log. Now, what have you got for them next?!!

Mr iluvtrekking joined forces with Mr richlink and Mr JacobsCrew to conquer this wonderful series. It was not without incident and excitement but they completed the entire series without a DNF or serious injury, although Mr JacobsCrew may take issue with that. Thanks Allied Prankters, an epic series, the men will be talking about this day for a long time to come.
Out today with the Geoson and introducing two friends to Geocaching. Loved this series and recommend doing the walk. Just make sure you have good shoes, long strides, and plenty of water.... Watch the ants in a few spots, they attack in the millions... We started from Mills Rd East and headed to Roleystone, The last part was the hardest with the legs starting to slow up a bit..... Thanks very much for the series, great to enjoy a bit of history...
Had parked across the road from this one, while awaiting my companions for this section of the series. So nipped over and made an easy find. On my return to the car saw that the Swaggies were there as well but they were about to attempt the secion on the other side of the road - I will have to work my way up to that I think!
Thanks for the cache Allied Pranksters.

We (a very excited little B and I) picked up trevkevred from the station and urch from the other side of the hill to tackle this part of the series as the awesome foursome this is a lovely area to walk in and looks like it is being appreciated by muggle bushwalkers as well. A lovely sunny winter's day to be out and about.
We can see the car! now to check out the terrain on the other side!

Caching with Me&B and Urch on a lovely day. The tracks are clear, good views and fairly flat terrain. The problem for Me&B and I was the sliding into the channel and worse getting out at the other side. It was ok for urch, she has long legs. Nice quick find. A lovely section of this long walk. TFTH Allied Pranksters. A favourite from me.
Pretty much got home early and thought I might tackle the C=C=C 13 - 07 and Papa was a Roleystone. Ended up running in the dark with my headlamp.
Out and about with Keego hunting C=C=C. Not wishing to jump in at the deep end I started with the easier ones I hope. Park on Canning Mills road near ‘Sun Makes Light’ then followed the contour channel from 13 to 07. An enjoyable walk with great views to the west. Generally these caches were more difficult to find than 01-06.
Thanks Allied Pranksters Crew.

Bindel_ texted me last night asking if I was interested in doing some of this series 23 to 1. We picked some others up along the way. We were dropped off with bindel_'s car waiting for us at the other end.
After finding a cache that was not part of the series we continued on to make a quick find.
Thanks for an awesome series
