TFTC. Cache and contents are in bad shape cache Holder is broken and logbook is very wet only just able to sign. It requires attention from the CO
Today I did the Kate Reed Parkrun which I really enjoyed quite different to all the other PR I have done. After a coffee, snack and a rest in the car (after being chucked out of the park) I walked back in around the barrier (why on earth they dont let people park in here on the weekend I have no idea) and headed off to find a few caches. I had been really looking forward to caching here and having some time on my own. Sadly I found the park to be hard to navigate (trails mainly suited to biking rather than walking), so many fallen trees and loads of bastard prickle bushes and pollen. I decided to quit whilst I was ahead and found 12 of the 15 caches I had intended to look for. Got back to the car hours later tired, battered with hay fever and ripped pants. Oh well . It was a good caching day out .So many Kates! TFTC
Found this one on a walk round KR this morning. Container is damaged... lid has a hole. TFTC.
Hi choppersrule. Today I/we found your cache which took me/us a couple of minutes to find. I took about 5 minutes to sharpen the pencil with my house key before I could sign the log!It seems the caching gods were smiling/ looking after me/us when I/we went searching for this cache. Now Im just going to ramble on about caching. An interesting hobby/obsession/pastime that could have involved a short or long walk or a short or long drive to arrive at ground zero. Once there it could be that all the vegetation has or will be trampled whilst I looked or maybe I was careful and only left a few footprint in the soft earth. I like larger caches that have or will stand the test of time or creative caches that the owner has taken a long time to make. Thanks for hiding the cache for me to find today. Finding this cache takes my GC finds to 4819 and I found it at 12:45 on Thursday 9 May 2024My favorites:Creative - Back to the future 1 (GCA5JYD)Hardest - Men in Black Holes (Archived)Most visited - Dragons Lair (GC2E33)Still working on: Square Muddy Trackand the next Codeword cache
With a day planned on foot to grab hides in the Kate Reed Nature Recreation Area [lets call it the KRNRA for short, lol even that is kinda long ha ha] i made this one 10th for my day {hoping like crazy i don't get rained out later as it was forecast for after lunch }
My pen kissed Kate's logbook at 11:42 on Thursday 22 June 2023 and the dry log was returned to Kate's cache and it was rehidden with not a Muggle in Cooee [^]

Still in Launceston we decided to head to Kate Reed reserve which is very close to the caravan park where we were staying. There are so many caches that are in here, so today instead of driving past we headed in. We attempted 13 today and can report we found all 13 attempted. It is great area so close to the city but such a shame about the gorse. Wandered around here for a while as lots of spots fitted the hint. GPSr wasn't happy here but found it eventually. TFTC
This was by far my hard we st cache yet. We were trying to find it for like 30 minutes.

Afternoon cleaning out last of this area while walking my dog. Evening was setting in by time we finished. Thanks
Freddo kissed the cache and left some DNA.
The cache was found in the last place we looked, which as usual was not the first place we looked. Thanks for placing a fun cache guys. We do love your work. We signed the logbook. Of course we did that is way we play this game. Cache in pretty good condition for the cache age.

Mountain bike only track but we footed it quickly, a little bush bashing required,
Having a great time with my grandchildren and daughter. We’ve seen some fungi and found some fun caches. Thanks.
We're currently spending a week or so in Launceston for a little bit of an end-of-year getaway. Today we had plans to head north up the Tamar, but figured we'd start our morning with a light walk through Kate Reed reserve to pick up a few caches we missed last time we were there.
Kate Reed is always a fun place to explore, especially with a few caches to track down - this one included! It's actually pretty hard to find a bad place for a cache in this area, and this is one doesn't break the trend - a lovely spot!
Thanks for giving us yet another good reason to explore the reserve!

Lots of bush bashing required to get to GZ in most of the caches in the reserve.

Visiting Tassie from the Blue Mountains and for my last afternoon in town wanted to go gather some caches and the nature reserve here seemed a great place to spend some time. Thanks Tassie because you didn’t disappoint! Had a very enjoyable afternoon caching here and enjoying the walk. All finds were straight forward. To those that hid the cache, thanks. #6 of 11 this afternoon.
A nice bit of bushland to walk around today while finding caches.
All good with it.

We have often looks at Kate’s series of caches in her reserve but for some reason have never quite got there so this time we plotted to get a number of them.
Some nice field puzzles and a bit of wildlife as we worked our way around and also picked up the higher rated traditionals.
No real problems with the hides after we let the GPSr settle. A maze of tracks at some points and a few mountain bikers to dodge at one stage. We completed the various signing duties and re hid. TFTC.

Out for an early morning walk today and made the most of a cooler start and set off grabbing a few caches out this way. Just happy to be out grabbing what caches l stumbled upon and this one was one of the quicker finds that l found this morning. Thanks activehunters for bringing me here and the hide.
Tassie Trip Day 190 - Well with a day at the van for cleaning the junior member decided to go for a walk in the bush as the day was suppose to be a little on the damp side so it was somewhere close and a few cache to collect.
Along the track I trail toward to another well hidden cache in the reserve it was a quick find compared to the previous one and it was in good condition.
Thanks choppersrule for placing and activehunters for keeping it in good condition.

Camped at Launceston, out around town today for a few caches. Quick find, good coordinates. Cache all good. TFTC
out and about with Pear in Launceston to gather some smiley faces, TFTC TNLN log dry nice scenery and locals.
Thanks for the cache choppersrule and activehunters. Found with RLD4963 on a visit to Launceston. A cool, clear sunny day for the last day of Autumn - perfect for a stroll around Kate Reed Reserve looking for caches. A nice easy find, cheers!
Nicely hidden cache. Remember guys, don't stick your fingers where you can't see them. Plenty of sticks around to give you a hand.
Found it.
Disregarded my first feelings where it was.
But went back and checked. Oh there it is.

Having spent the morning doing mundane chores, this afternoon was for walking, which of course meant caching. This area has a great bushland setting so caught my attention. This was #7 find for the afternoon. Left Pa up on the track and did some cross country down to the next track and then back along that one towards the cache. Once at GZ it was a quick easy find and my name was soon added to the log. Thanks again activehunters for maintaining this cache for us to find. TNLN
Found while visiting in Tasmania for the weekend from Newcastle area, spending 3 days at Kings Meadows, and walking here and the other caches on a nice day (about 27 Degs). Nice quick find TFTC choppersrule

Back home after being in Tassie for a holiday, now the daunting task of logging all our finds, sorting through the scraps of paper with notes on them.
Had a few days of sunshine, a lot of days of rain, ended up with just over 105 finds all up on this trip, and visited many tourist spots in the north of Tassie.
found this cache after spending the night here in Launceston
dodging mountain bikers and dog walkers all through this area.
thanks to the CO's for this cache

Hello choppersrule thank you for the cache.
Junior EeePees was in Launceston doing some refereeing at some soccer games over the weekend so EeePees asked me if I wanted to join him for the weekend and see if we could find some caches while J.E.P. was refereeing. Of course I jumped at the chance to spend the weekend with such a great mate and find caches in and around Launceston.
This was my 7th for the day and the 37th for the weekend.
We made our way to to this cache wondering which track we should have taken but got there in the end the cache was quickly found by EeePees. just as it started to rain.
I ended up with 25 caches today and 55 caches found over the weekend and one DNF.
