time for the CO to check this one the tree is there but there has been some rubbish pushed into it making it impossible to search the entire tree
Still wondering. GZ totally overgrown with muehlenbeckia and convulvulus... thorough search with reshamfiriri. Surrounding rock formations look impressive though.
Lots of water and overgrown vegetation. Is this one still there? Magnificent cliffs.
We headed down to this part of the world for Queens Birthday, finding a few caches as we went

In Geraldine/Timaru for the South Island Orienteering champs this weekend. I stopped here on the way to the last event. Cache proved too elusive for me today.
A day between Oamaru and Timaru. Found a few I'd tried (and failed!) before, and a good number of new ones. Always enjoy caching in this part of the country. Thanks.
quick find while taking a short cut over the hill, once through the undergrowth it was a straight forward find tftc
Had a weekend in Timaru, so did a bit of caching in around the town. Thanks for the hide.
Definitely unusual formations - it reminded me slightly of a small-scale version of Mt Rushmore in the USA with the rocks just waiting to have the Presidents' faces carved on them. I wasn't sure at first whether I was going to get to the cache without wet feet but it turned out not to be a problem, and the well-hidden cache was found after two or three minutes' search. Signed log, TFTC!
This was where Heafudd M wondered about the CO's sanity in hiding it in this particular spot. TFTC
I felt like livingston getting through africa trying to get to this cache. got it but a lot of growth. tftc.
It took us a wee while to reach the location of this cache. Lining it up and going straight to it from the road was not the wisest option. TFTC
Second time in this area and still find the formations wonder-ful. TFTC

Love this sort of terrain.

I visited your cache as part of a week-long self indulgent Geocaching trip from Nelson to Bluff and back again. I apologise for not leaving a completely personalised log, but I do want to thank you for the time, money and effort you put into placing your caches. Without people like you who place caches, there would be nothing for the rest of us to come and find. You are fantastic

Quick find. The Maori rock art fascinated Liz as it was the first time to this valley for her.
What a great place a well named cache site. Could almost be called New Zealands Mt Rushmore but far nicer in its natural condition. TFTC
FTF....... I think we made the terrain harder than we needed, but got there - thanks!
