Great day out & about with The Green Geckos. Pretty sure this is no longer here. Searched everywhere.
IolantheK had already found this one. I had a bit of a hunt, then she came to look. It is certainly not where it used to be ;-(
Looked and looked and looked. Found a hook which I confirmed with a previous finder was the hook I was looking for but sadly no bison tube.
My first DNF. Perhaps my eyes are not finely tuned enough today. Oh well, good excuse to bring geowife for a walk soon.
I think this needs maintenance we have looked twice now and then got told by a cacher where it was but still couldn't find it we found a hook that it could hook onto but no bison
I was looking for a while, but then a heep of muggles came and mum made me go home
I'll try again when it's quieter
I'll try again when it's quieter
I am heading to Clontarf for a picnic.
And headed up early to find a few caches before the catch up.
After finding the last cache I changed pens.
I can now write on water proof paper.
A quick find because this is where I started the search because someone was sitting at the table.
Thanks for the cache.

A nice day in Redcliffe and some caches to find...But some days are just like this : the caches just want to stay hidden!
Finally a smiley face for us. A fellow cacher who had already found the cache some time ago, ended up nudging us, and there it was. We were so close, but just not spot on. TFTC.
Second birthday cache!
Had mum and dad give us the go ahead on the pedestrians as Geosister and I checked the place out. I found this one after a bit of a search. Not too hard unless you have eremikophobia.
Rubber seal is looking a bit degraded

Gotcha ya tricky little sucker!!!!! Took three visits to track this one down. BIG smiley from geowife!!
Really hard. Looked everywhere but not their. May have been MUGGLED !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
A bit of ninja caching while I grabbed a coffee during a family working bee up here. Muggles left as I arrived, which worked for me. Getting low led to a fast find and a nearby twig helped me out too. TFTC in a great spot here!
Out for a ride with ChrisO556 and spotted it fairly quickly... Sadly it took longer to remove the scroll than it did to find. TFTC
Ticked off today's cache on a morning ride with MouseFan. A couple of fishing muggles were distracted by the awesome sunrise so we were fine to proceed. A quick find but good luck getting the log out of the container. TFTC Kev's Team.
Found cache with SusanDW. Nearly tricked by the bison sized brightly wrapped tampon!!!!!!!!
We located it - great container - Ladycache located it really well a group effort - we are truly firing now 4 for 4 - beautiful day ocean like glass
Found @1103 hrs with Lady Cache and Sarge8431. This is a good one, thanks.

Finally! After about six attempts we finally get it. And it was right there... it shouldn't have taken that many goes really.
Enjoyed a caching trip around Sandgate and Redcliff areas today many thanks to the CO's for the many great cache placements which took us to many interesting locations. Greetings from NZ. TFTC.
Got a little confused as the GPS would not get a lock on and kept losing the signal. 5pm on a weekday. Great time to find this 'low down' hide! TFTC
We looked and looked, dodging muggles, but didn't come up with the cache. Will come back another day.
Whoopie muggle free area today located cache quickly signed and gone before rain stopped and muggles returned
Found by Sunshine Toledo and Jinga2 at 9:45am. This is the first time we have been past here and there was nobody in the area. The cache was found after searching for a few minutes and it's in good condition. TFTC
Finally managed to tick this one off! And it was the quickest find of the day too. Rechecked the 'something that may have held a cache' and sure enough, today there was a cache attached. Council have obviously backfilled the missing beach and it looks much as it once did in this section at least. A very dynamic area! Thanks Kevs_Team
Woohoo! Good to see this one come back online recently. Working my way south along the foreshore here after a flight and this one was next. I parked not far away and jagged a mostly muggle-free afternoon. It was a very nice day to be in this area though. I kicked my logic gland into action and asked myself 'where would I hide it?' Knowing it is a muggle area, I had an idea and set about checking it all out. I ended up looking around a fair few places before I turned around and spotted the beast, very nicely hidden. And I didn't even get bothered by any muggles while signing the logbook. A very good hide in a lovely area. TFTC Kevs Team
Found in the company of geomum tonight after dark. We tried before dinner, but there was a muggle sitting on the bench and we decided not to persist. No-one around when we returned. A quick call to a previous finder made sure we found the cache. So easy, you can even spot it ... and so difficult if you aren't in the right spot. TFTC
Cache repaired.

Cache disabled due to the storm taking the sand from the beach.
the area is CLOSED to the public at present.
Once the area has been opened I will check the condition of the cache.
at present there is NO access to the cache.

Woah I can't believe how much this area has changed since the storm!! Almost a metre of sand has just washed away and the beach level is therefore much lower than it was previously!! The bottom of the stairs are just suspended off into nothingness! And we arrived on high tide which meant the water was lapping up under the shelter. So without getting our feet wet, we didn't get the chance for much of a search sadly so yet another dnf from us. Was the cache secured enough not to have gone the way of the missing sand?
Last week there were too many muggles to even attempt this, this time the GZ was clear, but while I was successful in finding some tongs, I could not locate the cache. Will have to revisit a third time.
We were worried that this would be hard to find after reading the logs. We managed to find it without too much trouble. It did take a little while and some decoy diversions had to be employed. Very low is a good clue for future cache rs.
Found on a day's cycling round Redcliffe killing time (though never got to that one) while our car was getting serviced
Neat hide, thanks Kevs Team

Had enough time for a detour en route to the airport. We searched for a while, but didn't want to be late getting to the airport, so went away empty handed.
I was driving past and to my surprise the area was deserted.
I spent 20 minutes searching but couldn't locate the cache.
Muggles then appeared for a BBQ so I left.

Nice spot with a lovely breeze, no muggles on the boardwalk but one sun baking right at the bottom of the steps, so couldn't have much of a look.
Having been past a few times without a chance for a search, I was glad there was no on there today!! ! So I searched and searched the structure...... and eventually I found this tricky little hide!!
Thanks Kevs Team, good spot to sign a log book!!

Out and about on the bikes with IolantheK. We managed to ride almost up to Scarbough before returning to the southern end of the Houghton bridge where we started. Around 31Km [^]
After doing a couple of caches at the northern end of the Houghton bridge we decided to ride to the most northern cache we wanted to collect today and then work our way south collecting as we went. It also made the return trip a lot easier as we had a strong head wind on the way up
IolantheK had found this cache on a previous adventure so I went looking for it. I searched and searched, in the end she came to my aid and showed me where the hide was (in plain view I might add ).
The cache is dry and in good condition

No muggles around today as it was a windy and cloudy gloomy day. Lucky for us it was low tide. Quick find. TFTC SL

1st of 2 finds this morning at 10:45. Both of yours, Kevs_Team.
Every time I have attempted this cache, it has been missing from my GSPr. The first time it wasn't in my GSPr because it had just been released and it hadn't been downloaded to my GPSr. On my second attempt, which was the same story as this time, the cache wasn't on my GPSr because too many DNFs took it below the threshold for the filter I use to transfer caches to my GPSr. I had to manually enter the co-ordinates in from my iPhone!
The high wind off the ocean didn't make for the best (or coolest) conditions for searching for this cache but it kept most of the muggles away. There were a few muggles out walking and running. I guess it takes all types. But for the most part, I had the place to myself and was free to search.
After searching high and low, at the various shelters, I still hadn't found the cache. I decided I'd have one last look all around the place where my GPSr was telling me I was the closest to the posted coordinates before I gave it away and went somewhere warm.
That's when I spotted the cache in a place swinging in the wind in a place I swear I had searched before. Obviously not. I was just glad to have finally found this cache and to have it off my map!

I have been passing by every fortnight since this cache was released with very few exceptions and every time, apart from my listed DNF, I have been muggled out. [xx(] Today, FINALLY, the area was clear and I was free to search! My joy was short-lived however. After poking, prodding and peering around every which way, the elusive cache remained unfound yet again . With a heavy heart, I gave this one up once more. Maybe third time lucky - if I ever get another muggle-free visit! [:o]
First find ever for me! Enjoyed a picnic lunch up the road and went for a walk to try and find it. Pure dumb luck I think - didn't have to look too hard! Hardly any muggles due to it being very windy this afternoon. TFTC, I think I'm hooked!
High tide is not the time to try to catch this cache [:o]
There was a line of muggles hooked on fishing stretched out on the sand in front of the BBQ area.
Kilometres of beach and they all had to line up next to the BBQ area !!
What is so special about this few metres of beach that make it so good for fishing ? [:(!]
Must be all the left overs that picinicers throw off the balcony that make good chum
I had a cursory look around the area, but the clue suggested I really needed to be at muggle level.
I'll be back after a look at the tide charts

Princess_ninja, Red Relic and I still had no luck with this one! Will try again though. Muggles are a problem!
I had hoped to find this cache this afternoon while I was out on the bike ride around Redcliffe. It wasn't to be as there were many muggles about enjoying the sunshine. I had to ride on by.
Unfortunately Red Relic,FunkyMonkey88 and myself did not find it ... i wouldn't even know where to start with this one ... thought we looked everywhere .. but obviously not ... maybe next time we will have better luck ... might even check it out again over the weekend sometime.

After unscrewing half the structure, I was the one feeling screwed while geokid watched on. After DNF headed away on our bikes. Suddenly realised I had dropped my sunnies back at GZ. Found cache this time around two seconds after finding sunnies. Muggles didn't even notice us. TFTC
Really nice hide had brownsnakemob and i scrathing our heads for a while we then found were the cache was meant to. Be and sure enought there she was log signed and placed were she was meant to be tftc
Ok not sure why but I found the holding device , but then took another min to find the cache . I believe it hasn't been put back correctly so I have replaced it .
Maybe the the CO can come and check its correct

Remarkably tricky, especially when basing your search on the google satellite image, as I was today, AND with a muggle seated nearby. We searched for some time without success before resorting to phoning a friend, whose advice quickly had us on the right path. We'd been looking in the right area, just not quite far enough from where my phone thought GZ was. That'll teach me to be more persistent! A lovely beach spot, TFTC, Kevs Team. =^.^=
Out and about today with IolantheK and La Kedi. This one has me beat, with a muggle sitting nearby I looked around as best I could whilst still trying to appear innocent ( I said tried). Fortunetly my two experts showed me once again that persistance and a PAF will once again come up with the goods. A very tricky hide. TFTC
Out and about today with bulldozer72 and La Kedi
This is a very difficult cache to get! Certainly muggles are a problem. One was nearby but seemed to be meditating and ignored us, so we made the search. Eventually had to PAF to get a hint, and even then the search went on. Eventually found, but slightly better hidden than expected. TFTC, Kevs_Team. A very tricky hide.

Even at 6.30am this area was very busy - especially with the exercise crowd of over 70's. Stealth required at all times it seems! Unfortunately had to abandon the hunt to go to work. As back in NZ tomorrow I think this one will just have to stay as a DNF.
I was a little rushed, so didn't give it as good a look as I'd like, but no joy for me today. Looked in all possible locations (except one at least). With road works happening right there I'll come back for the other cache one day (soon), and give this a better look.
Finally!! Not sure why this took me so long, but on the third visit i finally found the cache. I had Nyssaflutterby with me this time and even she had trouble finding it, despite having found it before. Finally got it. Coords were leading me to a completely different area so i now know the ins and outs of this structure quite well TFTC kevs team, glad to finally get this one ^^
Cache has been disabled due to a muggle being present while a cacher tried to put it back.
I have cache in my hand and will replace it later this week.
I have cache in my hand and will replace it later this week.
I have increased the D rating from 1.5 to 2 due to the high number of DNF's on the cache
Doh, no wonder we couldn't find it ... maybe next time. Thanks anyway Kevs Team
This is crazy. My second trip to this cache and another DNF. The sand was freezing and i looked and looked but no luck. This time i was with Ayepeacee who had previously found this cache and after awhile he confirmed it had gone missing from its original position. Don't know if theres some serious cache creep going on, but perhaps a check by the CO is in order. I look forward to finding it eventually. ^^

1st of 2 finds this morning at 22:45. Both yours Kevs_Team.
Every time I've attempted this cache I've noticed too late that it's not in my GPSr. The first time it wasn't in my GPSr because it had just been published and I hadn't downloaded this and it's neighbour to GSAK. The second and again this time, DNFs had omitted it from the filter I use to send caches to my GPSr. So today, like last time, I had to manually enter the co-ordinates for the cache in from my iPhone. That doesn't make for the easiest search.
High ocean winds did not make for the best (or warmest) searching conditions. However, that kept the muggles away and allowed me to search in relative peace. There were a few muggles about running and walking, I guess it takes all types .
After searching high and low, on various levels, and at various shelters, I hadn't found the cache. I decided that I'd have one last look, concentrating on the location that my GPSr was telling me that I was the closest. That's when I found the cache, hanging away, swaying in the high wind. I swear I had looked there before. Isn't that always the case? I'm glad to have found the cache at last. It'll be good to get it off the map.
