Day two of my journey of collecting caches and the original plan was to collect a few around Yass and then head to Tumut (via Gundagai) and do a lot more there, but I enjoyed the ones I started that I spent a lot more time around the former town. Had very little luck in Gundagai (it was tourist central) and had quite a few DNFs (or did not stops) but still cracked 50 for the day (all trads as I had no luck on multis today).
Stopped just past the bridge and walked back despite the several people here was a quick find and return. The cache guardian was shaken off before I signed though. Took a photo of the river as well.

Below is a blurb about us
We are trying to get a badge ,the author ,from project GC for writing found log files of 100 words or more. Once we get this badge we will stop writing this. We are also trying to get badges for adding photos to our found logs .
We started caching in December 2019 and by January 2020 we were hooked. As we are on the road full-time, living in a caravan, caching fits in well with this lifestyle. It is taking us to places that we would normally not have gone. When we move to a new place we also look at what caches are in the area and how many days we will need to be there in order to get the caches we want.
Trackables that we have with us today are:
Son of red
Rhodes travel Tong
Stanley the bushman
Travelling teddy
Where are my keys
Ducincs Viking ship
Miss Jenn lackey tag 11
TB challenge worldwide traveller
Scrabble tile

There was a small group of "us" heading off to meet more of "us" in Tumut for the weekend. Our merry band of misfits was made up of MTrax, Tankengine, Joolay, Aquilus1 and myself. In the car we all thought of a name that we could call our gang, but in the end we decided it was a Canberra Invasion Trip that we were on so just went with CBR5. We signed logs either indiviually or with the group name.
It was an awesome weekend all up, with lots of fun with friends. We cached all day then met up with the rest of the Invasion Team for dinner Saturday night, then cached some more on Sunday until it was time to head home. Tftc TEAM DENMAR!!!

Found with dty73, Aquilus1, Joolay and Mtrax on our Canberra invasion of Tumut and surrounds! Of course, we also had a lot of other Canberra cachers in town this weekend, and we all had a dinner on Saturday night at the pub! It was a great weekend, and I think a lot of us "cleaned out Tumut" Thanks for the cache TD.
Off I go with the Canberra geomob for a Tumut invasion for the weekend Caching, dinner at the pub, lots of laughs and more caching made for a fantastic weekend with a great bunch of people

Found with CBR5-DTY73, Tankengine, MTrax and Aquilus1 on a caching trip to Tumut. Having a great day, lots of fun. Unless otherwise stated cache found in good condition.
With a free day and a new Geocaching promotion to collect some souvenirs, I decided on taking the trip out to Gundagai and cleanup the area for both GC and GCA. I started by finding some caches out the behind Gundagai which were along a nice scenic road across the countryside. Next I headed into town to avenge a few DNF’s and then to ‘Hungry Jacks’ for lunch. Afterwards, I headed into the main part of town and collected the rest in town. There were many great history lessons, that I enjoyed learning about along my travels today. I next headed to out to ‘Dog on the Tucker Box’ to find the one I missed last time I was here. I also bought a hat to add to my hat collection. To finish off and before heading home, I found a couple of caches in Coolac. TB visit on all found caches. I would like to thank all CO’s for placing and maintaining the caches I found today and for allowing them to bring joy to me and others. TFTC’s
Today’s Totals:

Another quick find and due to muggles driving past I needed to hide myself while signing the logsheet. TFTC and onto the next one.

Found with nissan 65 . Heading away for a few days caching . Cannot believe how dry it is out here. Quiet country rd Thanks for the cache
Found with cullum68 on our way to Tumut for a couple of days thanks for the cache
It was an early start to the day that saw Darksidedan and myself heading to Tumut for the day with a side trip of some Gundagai caches as well as we travelled through. I had been keen to head off for a caching trip and Tumut looked ideal and definitely didn't disappoint. The scenery as we traveled through the area was everything I had hoped it would be and the clear fast flowing rivers beautiful as they flowed through the middle of it all.
A long but very enjoyable day, so many highlights and although we covered a large area and many caches I'm pleased to know there are many more so a return trip sometime is definitely going to happen.
Hint threw me but found easy enough in a likely spot. Rivers rushing fast and loud nearby, thanks for the cache TEAM DENMAR.

Today was going to be a nice little loop around the back roads but ended up being just a small day interupted by rain. We headed out and started real well finding 8 traditionals and not finding a further 2. Today this was number 2 of our 8 finds.
Thanks TEAM DENMAR for giving us to opportunity to find a cache in such a wonderful area.
Grand Cache count = 701 total consisting of 668 Traditionals, 18 Multi, 6 Mystery, 4 Earth, 2 Virtual and 3 Event.

X definitely marks this spot meaning that the nearby unmarked rest area certainly has the X factor. Time for a leisurely lunch beside the beautiful river, lots of birds and sandbanks - a lovely spot to spend an hour or two! However, the cache has been muggled! I found the pill box with no lid and the log in bits and pieces, no rusty can for camo. I placed what was left in a new ziplock bag and inserted a fresh piece of paper for the log. Thanks for bringing me here, Team D.
On our way to the Alexandra Mega. This cache like the last one is in a lovely muggle free area in lovely countryside. It’s a beautiful day, getting warm though We have bypassed Gundagai so many times and only stopped here this time because there was free camping available (and caches). We've missed out on a Lot! It’s a beautiful place with loads of history, much more than just “The Dog on the Tuckerbox”. The lookouts we've visited whilst caching have given us glorious views. Well worth the visit. TFTC
Geofriend, Whitepaws9 and I drive around to NSW country and Vic country for 1-2 weeks.. Beautiful good weather....Thanks
Found during an afternoon back road drive from Tumut to Gundagai and then on to home. Certainly a great spot and well worthy of a favourite point. There was a muggle parked down at the junction of the rivers, so I parked over on the eastern side of the bridge and snuck across to GZ without being detected. There was no lid on the cache but the contents were still protected. Many thanks Team Denmar
nice camping spot. cache container is without a cap and there was no can rusty or not. tftc.
#999. Headed down the Hume today to finally hit the 1000 mark. Today I had jugoing and Gundagai in my sights.

So after work we set out on the trek.
We decided to take this road into Tumut as it had some caches along it. Quick find at this one.

Plans were put into place for a weekend down at Tumut with one party of the FurfacesLL ladies. We headed off Friday after work and came home Sunday afternoon. We had a great weekend wandering around Tumut and surrounds seeing lots of things. The rivers were all flowing nicely and they were very clear. If it was hotter, im sure we would have taken a dip
Nice easy collection at this one

Took longer to get the log out of the container than to find the cache. Luckily not many people around to watch me struggle. TFTC
Lots of water in the river made this a lovely place to stop. Great place for a cache - thanks.
Found at 2:30 PM GAFF1.
An interesting means of camouflaging a container that hasn't got a lid We then went over to the little reserve on the other side of the road and just loved it - a good spot to camp overnight

Leaving Tumut and heading back to Canberra. It was raining but we soldiered on in our wet weather gear. A quick find with Chocolistick03. Thanks TD
A bit chilly this morning, but as the sun was out, we decided on a drive to Adelong,
Tumut and Gundagai to pick up a few caches.
With lots of lovely scenery and a variety of cache hides, we had a good day out.
Most of the caches were found quickly, with only a few hides a little tricky.
Many thanks for placing this cache, TEAM DENMAR, for us and others to find.

What a beautiful area this is! We have not been here before and love the views, the smells and the quietness in this area. Thanks for sharing!
We parked the car in the busy little fishing area and while we were there the local fire brigade brought one of their trucks down and backed it up to the river to refill. After they were finished we walked up to G.Z. and soon after had the cache,

Obviously a good camping spot for fishermen
I could tell by the rubbish, toilet paper and general cwap scattered around what would otherwise be a beautiful spot by the fast flowing Tumut River
At least the cache was hidden far away from the mess and an easy find [^]

Found by Mary & David at 0830. The distinctive sound of a crow, weathered rocks, the screeching of a flock of cockatoos above, iconic gums and rows of poplars that are already showing a hint of gold. They will soon resemble a row of giant golden candles. What more do you need? Well, there is a water view as well - plenty of water in the Tumut River today. No problems with the cache. Our thanks to TEAM DENMAR.
After a big weekend of caching around Tumut, it was time to head back to Canberra and find just a few more
There were a few people here just down in the bush having a picnic of some sorts, but they didn't even notice us...... Then another car came after we rehid and started looking around for a place to camp!
Overall it was a quick find, liked the camo

Quick find in the ‘usual’ suspect. I needed a tool to extract the log. TFTC TEAM DENMAR.
I found this with Carroll-Eyre a year ago , but I only just created a account.
Found on our Tumut trip. Heading towards Gundagai now, so this was at the turn off in our journey. Parked further down the hill and then walked up to the bridge, to find a cleverly camoflagued container. A nice little attachment. A lovely spot to view the river - due to that, we stayed here for a while. TFTC TEAM DENMAR!
[:(!] Went for a weekend caching run, left Wagga about 5.30am and did a circuit through Adelong, Tumut and Gundagai arriving back at Wagga about 6.30pm the following day and breaking the journey by spending the night in Tumut, an early start for the second day, parked the geocar as close as possible to GZ and walked in from there, on arrival at GZ the cache was in hand in a matter of minutes.

Found on a round trip from Yass, Cache needs the log fixing as its a ripped and hard to work out, Great spot for a rest. Thanks......
Last night the fog on the road from Tumut was so bad at times that it was difficult to see the road even at 50km/h so this sad the perfect off road spot to stop for the night. Woke up to bright sunlight and a lovely quiet country location, looks like it's going to be a lovely day... Found the cache when I could see in the morning.
6481 + 821 = 7302. Found during a run through the Tumut region.

We plan to camp here one day soon Team Denmar, thanks for bringing us here to such a pretty place. The river and the creek are absolutely filled to the brim with fast flowing dam water that was much too cold to enjoy even though the day was starting to warm up. We liked the camoflage for the cache and will mimic it one day. Thanks for the cache.
