I am regretfully archiving this cache since there's been no response from nor action by the cache owner within the time frame requested in the last reviewer note.
Found it! Almost gave up, but finally found it. Extremely well hidden. Unfortunately I don't have a pen today, but I will come back tomorrow maybe.
Hi tomhussona
This geocache was brought to my attention as being in need of an owner maintenance visit and after my previous reviewer note, there has been no owner response. The cache owner needs to check on this cache ASAP and either replace it or archive it, after picking up any geo-litter. See the [maintenance section of the Geocache Listing Requirements/Guidelines](http://www.geocaching.com/about/guidelines.aspx#listingmaintenance).
I've added this cache to my watchlist, and I will check back in four weeks to be sure that the maintenance has been done. In the meantime, I have temporarily disabled this listing. When the maintenance is completed, the owner can enable the listing by clicking on the link below the cache name to return it to active status.
Whatever your intentions, please **post a note** here on the cache page (not email) to let us know that you are still active and maintaining the cache. If a month passes without seeing a response, then I'll assume that this listing should be archived.
Please note, that if a cache is archived due to lack of owner maintenance, the cache is unable to be unarchived.

Left our calling card here. Took a while to find. Cheers.
Day 9 - Boxing Day - Saturday 26 December - Whitianga - Cooks Beach - Tairua. So lets go exploring.
The Seagnoid, Zara, Toby and I are off on another geocaching escape over Xmas, this time to the mighty Coromandel, then over to Opotiki and stop off at Rotorua to return home on 5 January. Had an fabulous time exploring many wonders of our country. Rounding up over 400 caches along the way, with a few LABS, 20 odd TMGTs, virtuals and lots of interesting earth caches to keep the mind busy. Watching the sun come up on New Years Day at Mt Maunganui was spectacular. Lots of walking and even more driving. But had an awesome time. Thanks to all COs who made this adventure so special.

So many beach accesses, none on the map. Will fix that.
Taybeedragon and I went on a tour of the Coromandel - one of the few places of New Zealand, especially of Te ika a Maui, that I have yet to explore throughly, and from there along the coast to Opotiki to see one of my many, many sisters. From 18 December to 5 January we found over 400 caches, including 12 adventure labs (60 caches), 20 or so TMGTs and a host of virtuals and earthcaches. And I hosted an event to see the sun come up on New Year's day - surprisingly popular given that it was at 5am. We climbed a lot of hills, saw some amazing beaches that were quite popular despite (or because of) the insane access to them, walk a lot of bush, entered and explored 8 gold mines and generally had an awesome time. However I am glad to be back, but now is the hard part, and I fear it will take just as long - logging!

No luck for me, but then again it was getting late & Not Manly Jack was well ready for some dinner, so my hunt at each of several hint items was brief.
Tried this on a night beach walk but after an extensive search of a few objects as per logs we gave up.
After lots of hunting found over 10 m away on my phone directions . No pen as out biking
I stayed in Whitianga, but went over to Cook's Beach today to redeem some DNFs from our Christmas trip in 2017. The coords seem to be a bit off, but the picture helped bring me to the right spot. TFTC.

Read the hint, saw the picture, search for a while but couldn't find it. But nice view !
Took a little time searching around the expanded area. Eventually Phil said “got it”. Suns out and it’s lovely! The sea sounds wonderful. SL TFTC
3rd find of the day with PhilBirdBoys. Took a while and read through some previous logs and got there in the end! TFTC.
Coordinates are definitely out as they had me at what looked like the obvious clue but I moved forward and found it
We couldnt get the direction to settle so checked a few possibilities before hubby found, signed and carefully replaced as found.
This one took took us a bit longer. But we found it in the end. Tftc with jakesrage
As with previous finders we found that the co-ordinates were a bit out but once we expanded our search we located the cache. Nice christmassy feel with the Pohutukawa in full bloom. TFTC.
Tftc. Co-ords directed me to something that matched the description, but a thorough hunt didn't reveal the goods. Extended the seach area, to include other things that could possibly match the hint too...saw something that looked suss so went in for a closer look, and bingo! Time to wander homeward....geo pups legs are worn out after all today's adventures! Maybe just a slight detour to find one more cache on the walk back to our accomms in flaxmill bay though. Thanks for the fun.
Found it while in Coromandel with Aiden29 to complete There 'n Back trail between Tapu and Coroglen. We did 400km today.
Thanks for spoiler photos from previous logs.
Helps!

Had plans with Tramyard to head back to the Coromandel, this time to complete the There 'n Back trail between Tapu and Coroglen. It was an early morning start, leaving home at just after 5am to get coffee on the way to meet tramyard. A very successful day, with 65 caches found before arriving home exhausted at 11pm.
We were intending to head to Cook's Beach but we had taken a wrong turn at Coroglen and didn't realise until we were about 5km from Whitianga. Decided to continue on anyway and find the 4 new Geotour caches in the area and grab some lunch. Finally made our way to our original destination. Headed to start at the Ferry landing and make our way back towards Cook's Beach.
We had trouble here until reading previous logs and realising that we were not in the right spot. My coords were S 36 50.026 E 175 44.090

Location a bit out but we used our geocaching prowess to locate the cache - tftc
Found after 10 minutes looking at the wrong log! Hint and spoiler photo helped
Spoiler photo definitely required for me here. I never would have found this otherwise! Found on a walk to Cooks Beach from Ferry Landing. TFTC
After 10 minutes serious searching ready to give up, but reading previous logs searched wider and found it 13m away to the South.
On a big mission to get a pile of caches so I can land my 7000th cache on either Mnt Ruapehu or Mnt Ngauruhoe on the 16th March! Hoping, weather permitting, that rustynz can join me for her 5000th cache as well on the same day. A bit of planning going into this I can tell ya!
I thought GZ was at the seat on the beach, at least that's where the phone pointed me! Cache not there so had to expand the search a fair heap! Only thru past logs and fotos did I find the damn cache! That was such a pain in the bum!

Today we walked the looptrack at Shakespeare Cliffs. After days of searching and finding trash-like caches, these caches were such a relieve; this makes geocaching fun! All caches where found easily, thanks to the owner(s) for hiding and maintaining them…
Last cache of our loop track. Used previous logs to locate GZ...

Find number 4756. I wandered along a trail in the sand dunes to GZ. Once there I search high and low but to no effect. Found some shade and read information. Widened my search and found another hint item. Another search around it eventually produced a cache. Glad to tick off and then to get out of the sun. Thank you for the placement
We took a trip to Whitianga and while hubby walked the track up to the shakepear lookout i went looking for a few more caches etc before meeting him up at the top. Then we went onto Flax mill beach and the ferry landing. I had never been on this ferry so we went across and walked around the shops for a short time and then caught the ferry back. A great day out and i hope i have not muddled too many caches. .
We travelled north and are holidaying in and around the Coromandel staying in motels, with friends and in our tent while getting out each day to see the sights, swim in the beautiful beaches or go for walks etc as well as locating a few geocaches, of course. We have had good weather the whole time with just a few showers at night and some wind while at hahei.
Thank you for this cache to all the Cache owners and another smiley face.

We weren't the only one geocaching! Wrong co-ordinates I think... 10-15 m away , check spoiler photos
Spoiler photo was helpful and found it in a couple minutes after viewing. Tftc
School holiday trip to Auckland/Coromandel with the family. After a night in Auckland we came across to Hotwater beach Top10 for a couple nights. In the area visiting Cathedral Cove and Cooks Beach. Gave it a poke and a prod...both the standing stump & the log remnant. Disturbed a few spiders, poked a few holes. Nothing doing so moved on.
Didn’t find this time. We just ran out of time. Beautiful spot and will be hidden somewhere. Something for us to work on next time!
So this one almost had us stumped. After searching GZ we resorted to reading logs and found the spoiler photo. Still almost walked away twice before starting a systematic search. Suspect there were some annoyed spiders! Glad we persevered and found this one Thanks
A great day out with part of Team BOP. After meeting up early, headed off to clear a few areas on our maps. Had the best of winters weather today, had a great time with lots of laughs in between all our wonderful finds. Many thanks to the cache owners for their placements, (please excuse any cut and paste logs as there are many), and thanks for bringing us back to this wonderful part of NZ. Cheers.
. Out on a road trip with part of Team BOP having lots of fun. We walked along the road for these ones after having fish and chips for lunch. This one took all our eyes and after reading previous logs we widen the search area and I was pleased to make the find. TFTC
We'd assembled the team for another assault on the Coromandel today - my favourite part of the country. We didn't quite make it to Cooks Beach last time so we're here today to clean this place out. This cache was tricky and after examining all possible hides we started reading previous logs.... bloody coords are out! So we expanded our search and NZFlossy made the discovery like 15 meters out. Cheers tomhussona, TFTC

With Gap (of Fap and Gap), McJandals, NZFlossy, Philip.Perry, and TNXPro... Another mission into Coromandel. The plan for today was to clear out Cooks Beach and Hahei...
This one was quite tricky. There were a few possibilities, and the spoiler photo didn't help much. A bit of systematic searching ensued, and a bit of patience netted a good result. TFTC.

Today was a group assault on the Cooks and Hot Water Beach areas.
Along with Squirrel Nutcase. McJandal, NZ Flossy, Phillip Perry, TNXPRO and myself.
Left home just after 7am and our first stop was Waihi to collect 2 caches.
Opted to travel to Cooks Beach and work backwards home.
Never cached in this area but some of the group have.
Mixed bag of near drive bys, good walks and amazing scenery.
We also we had a couple of each caches to visit, in particular Cathedral Cove.
Lots of muggles today but guess there would be a lot more in the summer time.
Great day of caching
Good fish & chips at Cooks Beach for lunch and good Pizza at Waihi for dinner.
Thanks to the cache owners for caches we found today. SLTFTC

Off on another trip to the Coromandel with TeamBOP in perfect weather conditions.
We stopped at many great locations and had a lot of laughs along the way, which makes for a really enjoyable trip.
We have cached through Cooks Beach before but never found time for this one.
We made quick work of this cache, once we read the logs and discovered that the cache was about 15m away from GZ.

Couldn’t have found without the spoiler photo. Was looking in the wrong logs for the longest time.
Almost gave up on this one. Had no internet, hadn't downloaded the spoiler picture, but then I spotted something that didn't match color of the surroundings. Thanks from Germany!
Mr TW and I caught the ferry over from Whitianga and walked from the ferry drop off to the end of Cooks Beach and back again picking up all the caches along the way. Found the co-ords were off for this one and was glad to finally find it.
This morning, we had a great walk starting in Whitianga heading to Cooks Beach with nice trails and amazing views over the sea and the landscape.
On the way back, we stopped in the dunes to look for this one. It took some time, but finally we got it; tftc

Finally found this one after looking for quite a while in the wrong spot as did many others I have since read. Very quiet around here today which is good for caching. TFTC.
Really fun cache was looking at wrong place at first but then luckily dog pal lead us to the right one. Coordinates are off but photo also helped. TFTC
Found a good spot, but no cache at the given coordinates. Read the logs and luckily found the new ones (pictures weren't downloaded and we were offline). So thanks for that.
I couldn't find the original cache way back. The new cache is off the old coordinates somewhat, but I don't think the original were right anyway. Thankfully the photo hint helps. Coordinates I have are 36 50.026 175 44.091. TFTC. #224
Co ords out use hint picture further down in logs hint refers to several items within a few meters of Gz
On our trip through New Zealand we arrived Cooks Beach in the afternoon. It stopped raining and so we were able to find some caches. This one wasn't easy to find!

Today our journey bring us first to the HotBeach, than to Hahei, the Cathedral Cave and to the CookBeach. In the area we found some caches. Thanks for showing the place and hidding the cache.
Greetings from Germany!!!
Greetings from Germany!!!
We explore Coromandel. From Thames, drive via Coromandel to Whitianga and then Cooks Beach, Cathedrale Cave and Hot Water Beach. We had great views and fantastic scenery. We made hikes and puddled holes in the sand. And got us some nice cache.
Thanks to all the owners for the containers. Without the caches, we would never have found some nice place. Greetings from Germany the Moorhelmis

A geocaching mission in the rain with kids- found my Jett. Hard to find with coordinates - had to use photo
Leaving lovely Cooks Beach this morning and somehow we managed to miss this cache so a quick grab after we have loaded up and heading out.
Searched for a while, many likely suspects and GPS bouncing quite a bit. Had to look at photo to find it. Clever - tftc.
Note previous logs. Cache is 15m from published co-ordinates. Likely candidate identified. Spoiler photo confirmed. TFTC.
Found eventually but only after a scour of the area as the coordinates led us to a different location that matched the hint. Advice to others would be to check other suspects in the area. TFTC!
Spoiler photo was very handy as GPS was pointing 15m away from where the cache was found, TFTC
