Archiving this one for now - might relist later on when I have more time for cache maintenance.

Mistraluna, JELM-explorers did not find your geocache today, have sent a message to the CO

07-May-17
Cache has done a runner. Will prep a replacement and get it back out there soon.

Left the invalid in the car & ventured forth with Demimoch. Got drenched, which was quite pleasant on a hot day. I was still struggling on when Demimoch signalled me to go back. He said it was too slippery & dangerous & it's not there anyway. I am not sure about the "not there" as he is not an experienced cacher but I decided to follow his instructions as it was very wet & windy.

Nice walk to grab my daily cache....Beautiful location...TFTC

13-May-15
Another beautiful day for geocaching, but we're not having much luck, as this was the 3rd DNF for the morning. I left Geohubby sitting on some rocks near the end of the track, secured my backpack and carefully scrambled out to GZ without having a shower, not bad for a mouldy oldie. I searched and searched to no avail.

09-Feb-15
I surely sang in the shower. I spent half an hour near the site and got a shower while avoiding muggles. Great fun, TFTC

23-Dec-14
Sing in the shower? Luckily Ralph Fine Dog is loyal and he pretends to enjoy a rendition of "Love me tender" because he thinks that I'm planning his steak meal. His disappointment at getting the same old dry kibbles is palpable.

Nice cache Mistraluna. Another nicely thought out location too. Maybe I'll come back with Ralph to see if he too can sniff out another sneaky Mistraluna hide

22-Dec-14
Replaced log book and TRIPLE baggies. Please replace as found (ie out of sight and securely in position so as not to be washed away in the next rogue wave.

Wow wee... ventured Out with geoson to get this one, so nice to sit back and watch the dolphins do their thing... favourite spot for us... log very wet though...

11-Jul-14
I had a shower before I came so I didn't need one here. The cache on the other hand has had a good shower and the log has had a bath.
I left it out for a good ten minutes in the sun but it's still very wet.
Great place for a cache though.

08-Jun-14
Very fun find. The container was full of seawater but luckily the little zip lock bag has kept the log dry. TFTC!

14-Feb-14
Lovely little walk

26-Jan-14
Today being Australia Day, we did a couple of hours caching before the celebration began.
Drove through Mandurah city to have a look at all the stalls set up along the fore shore,
and the decorated boats in the bay.
Geo-cruiser enjoyed the trip to the end of the pier, then we enjoyed the rock walk.
Cache was easily found, container was wet, but log was dry.
Thanks for the cache, Mistraluna.

Ready to be found again.

30-Oct-13
Cache now ready to be found again. Sorry it has taken so long, but every time I tried, the swell was up and the shower was running. Not so today though. Cache now wedged firmly in its position. Hope future cachers take the time to leave it as intended.

05-Oct-13
A magnificent swell was on display today, and the waves were creating some outstanding waves booming on the rocks! Fortunately we could still get to GZ safely, but it was spectacular to watch the ocean hit the rock wall on the left hand side as we approached our target! We really enjoyed coming to this location, and did find the container. I had downloaded this cache onto our GPSR when it was still active and before our holiday, so when we visited we weren't aware that it had already been flagged as needing maintenance or temporarily disabled. I can confirm that all that is left is the cache container, without a lid or any of the contents. Hopefully it can be resurrected, because it's an exciting spot to visit. We would never have discovered this lovely spot if it hadn't been for this cache! As we were returning back to our vehicle, we saw some dolphins swimming in the Dawesville Cut nearby - much to the delight of one of my daughters, who is a dolphin fanatic! This cache was the best one of the seven that we visited today, and earns a favourite point from us because of the rugged and beautiful location.

Second muggled cache in a row.

02-Oct-13
It has been washed down the drain yet again...

14-Sep-13
Thanks for the showers. Evie found this one. Evie and Lucy's 4th find.

Glad I picked a nice calm day to look for this one. The container was full of water but due to the triad of plastic bags the log was safe. Wedged back firmly.

10-Aug-13
Went out to replace the logbook today, fully expecting to have to sing somewhere along the expedition, but the geocaching gods were smiling on me. The surf was pounding and the shower was running, but I timed it just right, and got back to the car dry and unscathed. All good for the next intrepid cachers to come and find.

Again, please make sure the cache is wedged tightly back in place with the wedge provided, so that the cache doesn't wash out of place, exposing it for muggle fishermen to find.

18-Jul-13
Took some awesome photos while KB did the honours....thanks again Mistraluna

18-Jul-13
Appreciate the terrain rating on this cache. It was a tough rock hop with waves crashing over the side of the groyne. Quick find at GZ; cache was exposed. Unfortunately it was also full of water and the log has disintegrated. A photo was taken; MDV will post it in his log. Tucked the cache back away before leaving. Thanks for the cache Mistraluna.

18-Jun-13
Tftc- the log book is totally sodden to the point even the staples are rusted and everything is slimey. Unable to sign but photo attached as proof, I don't have anything with md to fix it myself sorry. Had a nice sing to myself on the way to the cache Smile I used to surf here as a teenager but that was before any of the developments out here. It's beautiful sitting here on the rocks typing my log Smile

Completely sodden slimey logbook- sorry I had nothing to replace it with

Today we decided to do some caching around this area, and we made this the first for the day... It took us a while to get to GZ, Master 4 had to stop and check out the digger from various points along the way. The walk along the rocks wasn't too bad, I think Master 4 is getting better than us now! Young and fearless I suppose Razz

We arrived at GZ and soon spotted the cache in the obvious place. A beautiful spot this morning & we took heaps of photos of dolphins frolicking in the water [^] TFTC and for bringing us out here Mistraluna Big Grin Cache had some water inside but the log was all dry.

40 C and no wind - that is hot today !
On our way from Perth to the vineries of Margaret River we passed by this interesting cache location and placed a TB from Germany.

This was awesome. Enjoyed the walk/climb out to GZ with the rumbling of the waves creeping under the rocks. With a breeze it is just exhilirating standing up top. Slight ouch moment returning to beach as stepped on dry seaweed that sunk underfoot and I ended up caught in between rocks. So avoid the seaweed, wet or dry. With a beaut bruise and stinging gash jumped into the ocean to soothe it. Water and waves were delicious and ended up staying way longer than intended. I wish I had read the blurb and thrown the boogie board in the car. Will definitely be back here with the rest of the Skulduggeries. A fantastic spot and fun cache. Thanks for the adventure. Beautiful day. Decided to attempt after Nippers and was successful. Left a pencil in cache for those who forget. TFTC Mistraluna.

31-Dec-12
Found this one but looks like it has been muggled. Was just lying on rock out of its hiding spot. Still had log inside though. Bit wet - dried it off as best as possible. Signed log and returned cache to it's hiding spot and wedged in with implement provided. Great spot though watch out for "rocking" rocks. TFTC.

18-Nov-12
Port "Blowhard" was living up to its name so couldn't avoid a light shower. The wet rocks were a little terrifying but I reached my goal without incident. Found GC after brief moment of concern. Even managed to hold on to all the bits so they didn't get blown into the channel - quite an achievement when you're on your own. TFTH.

21-Oct-12
Found the cache, and almost lost Moonlights Fav Pen, Lucky with my McGuver Skillz i was able to retrieve the pen, Safe and sound..

21-Oct-12
Found with wot on dusk.
My fear of heights was not kind to me here! However, the ever wonderful wot rescued my pen that I dropped down between some rocks! Yay!
TFTH!

12-Oct-12
A storm was threatening, but it did not eventuate, no muggles near the GZ so all in all a good start to an afternoon of caching, not much time so quality spots over quantity. This one has intriguged me since it was published.

The parking area was empty, and I only had a shortish walk to the spot. But jumping stones, I had to be careful to protect the camera,

Thanks Mistraluna for another interesting cache, and a great spot to visit

11-Oct-12
Lovely walk out to the point where I introduced two lovely young people to the joys of caching.

Grabbed the path tag from WA K Team, a treasure for me Cool thankyou very much.

TFTC and the rock hopping Wink Mistraluna.

07-Oct-12
Needed a break from doing the tax return so headed down to the Cut to finally cross this one off the near to home list. Decided to walk from the car park as it was pleasant day and no significant showers in action from the sky or the sea.

Eventually arrived at GZ after rock stepping (not hopping) the last 100m and quickly located the cache as the nearby fishers were too engrossed in their fishing. The cache container had a fair bit of water in it but the log inside the ziplock was dry. Signed the log and left one of our path tags and for good measure double bagged the log. Securely wedge the cache back in place with the provided tool, so hopefully it will get less water inside.

Thanks for the cache Mistraluna [^] It has taken a while to get here but was worth the walk Smile

05-Oct-12
Found it

02-Sep-12
There now, see how easy it is when there is actually a cache to find and you are already wet. Cheers Mistraluna.

02-Sep-12
Mr iluvtrekking and geo-hubby had got soaked doing a kayak crossing to find the Spider Island cache so decided to brave the wet conditions to attempt this cache again. Very slippery on the rocks and definitely not ideal conditions to rock hop to gz, but thankfully for us we had no trouble finding the recently replaced cache.

17-Aug-12
Finally got back out there this morning, and was lucky to have the place to myself - only one fisherman back where I parked the car. The replacement cache has extra features that should see it survive longer than its predecessor. Please replace it securely. Thanks

12-Aug-12
We did all the hard work. The men folk clambered and slipped their way to GZ through the driving rain, of course, I remained in the car to continue with the planning. [^]

Mr richlink had a pretty good look for the cache and even when a wave broke over him he was reluctant to give up. They returned to the car wet and empty handed, how do you think they felt when we discovered that the cache had been disbled the previous day. [:(!][:(!] Oops!

Hadn't noticed that the cache was missing or had been recently been disabled so together with iluvtrekking we headed for this gz as the first for the day. Why we even considered it in the foul weather is now beyond us. But headed off over the very slippery rocks and amazingly made it without incident to gz. It was so blustery and squally that it wasn't long before we were hit by an unexpected large wave over the end of the groyne and I almost ended up well and truly in the drink. Completely saturated by now but we checked all obvious hide spots and came up empty. At least we were glad that we hadn't missed the hide and will return another day when the sun is shining and the waters are much calmer. Thank heavens we brought a complete change of clothes!

11-Aug-12
Sorry, the shower was running this morning, unable to get out there.

10-Aug-12
Not realising what I was in for I set off for this as the sun was sinking, the waves were crashing, the rocks were slippery and I was on my own. Foolishly kept going and finally got to the 'obvious location' after much rock hopping, and all fingers crossed that I didn't end up in their bowels, but nothing in the shape of a cache was spotted. GZ was still showing as being 7m further on, so scrambled and crawled a bit further before chucking in the towel. Then all I had to do was to get back again!
Finally got back to level ground with a great sigh of relief, with the sun just sinking below the horizon. I won't be attempting this again unless with others, younger and fitter.
Great spot for a cache though, if you are adventurously inclined. Smile

After a DNF on this one, l went to check that this one was still there. Sadly, it is missing, so sorry urch for your wasted trek. I had to make the trek myself to find it was missing, and will have to do so again to put a replacement cache in place. Will get it back out there later today or early tomorrow morning. Now tell me why did I put it out there in the first place??
