This has been marked as needs maintenance for 6 months with lots of DNF's and the owner has not logged in since September.
Time for doggy exercise and a walk at a different spot on the river...and the promise of 8 caches, unfortunately 3 were dnf This was the first of the dnf's and obviously MIA for a while
couldn't find. The whole area has been changed with new walkway and fence lines so I think it may need replaced.
Also could not locate. No hint pile either. I suggest previous cacher may have logged this one in error instead of Up and down the river 2 as her name was in the logbook but not logged for the other cache.
We are pretty sure it has gone as the area where we think it should be is all churned up and there is a new fence.
Found while walking the Hutt river trail with my friend before lunch, couple of caches a bonus

Nice spot, found this a month ago with my Mum and had to come back and log it for myself. TFTC.
Took a wee while. Previous logs were helpful. Enjoyed the fresh ripe blackberries. TFTC
Find #1453. A quick find while on an early morning ride of the Hutt River Trail. No one around so a quick retrieval and replacement. SL TFTC.
The "cornered" hint was useful, although the actual cache was perhaps 10m from where my GPS unit indicated GZ. My GPS unit isn't usually that much out! Anyway not too difficult. TFTC.
This was a mystery without reading yeetrees post. I think a better clue would be "feeling cornered" TFTC #252
Found on a very windy anniversary day. The coordinates were about 10m off so took a bit of a search along the various fences. Took seahorse, left army man.
Couldn't find it yesterday so came back today. Found it relatively quick today. Left a USA quarter and took an army man figurine.
Some muggles had been collecting berries around here the first time we came by so we carried on and pick up on our return.
Found this after a cycle up the river on a very hot day. Almost back to the car now! TFTC!
Having read the earlier logs, I began to wonder if this cache was even there when I first tried to find it. However, the log dates suggest otherwise. Maybe I had let the earlier DNFs trick me into thinking it was more difficult than it was!?
Today, it was more of "across to the river" rather than the "up and down" of my earlier attempt.
I am pleased to get this one off my DNF list. TFTC.

Had trouble finding yesterday so came back today. Had a look through the logs and found Yeetrees co-ords. Followed those which were more accurate.
I got close, then my GPSr started jumping around. However I figured out where it was thanks to the clue. Swapped Tinkerbell doll for super bouncy ball + small whistle.

A great day out caching in the area with tmann421. Very enjoyable walk to gz SL TFTC
Nice afternoon for a stroll by the river. Thanks for the excuse. Found with Jessiemac88 & Honey the geodog.
Had jst abt given up, but Mr W/S had one last look and voila. Had to contend with half the Hutt Valley muggles out for a run and most of the Hutt Valley dogs out for a walk. TFTC
Didn't have much trouble with this one finding the cache as we were not bothered with muggles so we could take our time and work it out.
This cache took a little bit longer to find than the second in the series as our GZ put us at the style. After searching a bit further away, StreetWalker found the cache. A pleasant walk - warmed us up on a cool and drizzly winters day.

#3886. Found after widening our search from the stile. The hint wasn't particularly accurate. TFTC.
Came here today, managed to get from the car to the cache and back along the riverbank between rain showers. I had wasted my time and petrol coming here the day after the cache was published, it had obviously not even been placed - in contravention of rules for cache publication, see http://support.groundspeak.com/index.php?pg=kb.page&id=307#submit section 6 No 2. Found today within seconds in the very first place I had looked previously, and one of the nearby objects had been rearranged so as to conceal it. Signed log, TFTC.
This is one of those caches that you have the funny feeing was it really there when it was first published, I do know that I have being in this situation myself and now that I have put out a few more caches I always make sure that I try my best to get it correct but we are only human.
Arriving out here the first time in the rain and I managed to check all the obvious spots and couldn't find anything and then arriving back out here today and seeing the rocks that I had checked and noting that they were totally rearranged a lot different from before. Lifting the first rock and there was the cache yes the co-ordinates were still a bit out but close enough that it was easy enough to find the cache.
Took some reading and got the following co-ordinates S41 08.310 E175 00.620.
Oh well at least I can get this cache off my list of DNF caches, and definitely grateful that there is a cache here now, thanks for placing the cache here, TFTC TNLNSL (4460)

Found on a lunchtime stroll along the river. Always nice to visit this walkway. Took a couple of minutes looking as the coords seemed a little wayward, but the hint helped narrow it down.

#3095. Nice walk up and down the river at lunch time today. Quick find ... well hidden. Unfortunately, Travel Racer Formula was not in the cache ... probably taken by a previous cacher not yet logged.

No sign of a cache here today. The coordinates placed me right at the stile and there were several large-ish river stones that looked rather out of place scattered over the grass nearby - these could have been used for concealing a cache but definitely weren't going to as I found them. I walked for about 100 metres along the fenceline in three directions but saw nothing that looked like a cache hide. I think an owner checkup is needed.
Had a good look around - might be blind
Found pile of rocks checked fenceline but no sign of cache but plenty of water
Hope the cache hasnt floated away
