We are spending a couple of days around Tenterfield, under the canvas and it is great that the rain has stopped for a bit and the canvas has a chance to dry out. We decided to come for a drive around Tenterfield this afternoon and have a look at this beautiful park. Lots of Small birds and very peaceful here.We found the Hide with no trouble, and our name is now in the log. Is great to see the regeneration of this Parkland here. Thanks MattyRxDomsky
Today we took the short trip from Glen Innes to Tenterfield another older town with lots of history and interesting buildings. We collected a few caches on the way before arriving round lunch time. In the afternoon we headed into town to look around and complete the Lab and Wherigo. before heading bit wider to search for a range of other caches.A good day with warm sunny weather.Thank you for your efforts in creating and maintaining the cache MattyRx.**SKI Pair****
Was gonna get this one last year when we came down but it was way too wet so we got it this time. Quick find log signed and swag added. TFTC.
Nice easy find on this gorgeous day and the last find for this absolute gem of a town TFTCwhat a lot of history here
A very quiet area which would be lovely after some rain as it’s very dry here
Quick find thanks to hint and photo

Thank you! We found our first Geocache in Tenterfield. Thanks for the description and photo to help. From Coffs Harbour family
Just before dinner and very dark. Found with dad. Box is quite hard to open. TFTC
We had the opportunity to spend Easter in Stanthorpe so took advantage of the days off to find some caches while we were here. Today we headed south to explore Tenterfield and this was our first stop. A lovely spot to wander on this cold, but sunny day. Some frogs accompanied our find and with their croaking and we stopped to take photos of some lovely flowers along the way. Thanks for placing and maintaining this cache.
Found it easily. But had a little trouble opening the black box. Got it in the end. Tftc
After we could find the right way, we found the cash. But we could not not open it. After many minutes , it was going and i signed the book.
Thanks for the cash, Reki
Thanks for the cash, Reki
Found TFTC. Out and about from Mackay Qld. Weather a bit. Miserable weather today but a beautiful area.
Another lovely spot we would not have found if we weren’t for geocaching. A bit of a struggle with the van on at the end of the road with hanging branches. Tftc

Easy find good size. Went off track a bit they wasn’t really any need to though. I wish I could of looked around the park but had to head off maybe when I’m an adult, or if I’m convincing enough.

Great little piece of towns history & nice little hide to go with it. All good with the cache.
TFTC; be careful not to twist your ankle looking for this cache. Nice swaps, lovey park. Found with the even lovelier aninjaify
Tftc - the frogs in the pond sounds like bubble wrap going off. No traceable found.
Well hello Mr Favepointplunderer.
Having a lot of time on my hands in Tenterfield I decided to check out the area and used geocaching to find interesting things. This one was added to said list as I'd seen who the CO was, although it didn't look that interesting. I couldn't figure out what a MattyRx cache would be doing in a 'park'. Sounded a little ordinary to me. But then I pulled up at the park. Yeah, I see why now. haha. What a great park! I enjoyed a walk around it and in the lower paddock down as far as the old rusty car graveyard, at which point the pleasant break in the rain ceased and the drops started coming down again. It was only sprinkling on my way back so I still really enjoyed it. I got a little snap happy and took a bunch of photos.
You know, I know the yellow and purple flowers are weeds, but gee they look beautiful side by side carpeting the lower paddock with gum trees popping up out of them. Sadly I noticed a number of the name plated trees in the top paddock are nothing but skeletons now. Lack of care or just not meant to be planted there, who knows. Seeing the animal houses up high in the trees made me jokingly wonder if Mervyn Goddard in his ripe old age climbed up there and placed them with no aid but his trusty tomahawk and big toes. (pic of climbing feats from noticeboard attached)
Wouldn't you know it, I enjoyed my walk so much that I was back where I started before I remembered there was a cache somewhere along the way. haha. Luckily it wasn't far and I had it in no time. I wonder how many golf balls and bullet shells are in the bottom of the quarried pond near GZ?
Of course, I was really grateful for getting to waste a fair bit of time (because I'll be at it again tomorrow and I've been told not to go into Basket Swamp because it IS a Swamp at the moment) in such a nice place and I wouldn't have found it if I hadn't gone after this cache. Sooooooooo.... TAKE MY ONE FLAMIN' FAVE POINT. hahaha.
And to think I was expecting some council bulldozed dog walking area kind of park. haha.
Thanks again Matty.

We are in the area for one week, hiking and geocaching. Hiked up to Mt Norman this morning in a drizzle, enough to become wet and continued with caching in the afternoon. What a great day it was. This park is a really interesting one. Thanks MattyRX for bringing us here.
Unfortunately my snow chasing adventure has come to an end. I had a fabulous time exploring towns like Glen Innes, Ben Lomond and Guyra. I had the opportunity to see a tonne of snow and took many photos! In total I reckon I've done close to 1000km of driving, was it worth it? YES and I'd do it all again in a heart beat.
What an interesting little park tucked away in the middle of nowhere. I enjoyed the walk and the piece and quiet here today. The cache was quickly spotted, signed and replaced. All good at GZ.

We were expecting a sports field and were pleasantly happy to find this beautiful nature park. Spotted the cache in quick order. Took a trackable and left a trackable in the clean and well maintained cache. Thanks for this. Added a photo of a flower nearby
What a beautiful park. I tried to get into the park for the east but the gate was locked. I was able to find a way. over the fence and entered the wonderful park. TFTC. Thanks for the hint.

Caching around Tenterfield while travelling to Dayboro for the Mega. But plans have changed and we won't be crossing the border unfortunately.
We got lead up the garden path a bit but found the right one.

After being in Canberra for 10 days it was time to return home. Last day of the return trip (Home this afternoon) aiming to pick up a few counties for challenges with RoddyC and team benders.
This was nearly a DNF. 1st the gate would not open. It was jammed, then the cache was jammed with toys and old log books.
Got it.

Quite a round about walk along the paths in the park, Dropped Dog Tag trackable, TFTC
Great to find a muggle free, hidden gem like this. Although a bit overgrown wombles and I enjoyed our stroll to GZ, it didn’t take long to have the beasty in hand.
Thanks for the cache MattyRx

I'd have liked to explore this park more if we had more time, but we had a big drive ahead of us. We took the hard way to the cache then foudn the easy way afterwards, though the grass needs mowing so it's all of a muchness! The cache was a nice quick find then Nyssa and I took different ways back and I realised the paths are windy.
Beadling around the pleasant town of Tenterfield for a few days and grabbed all the nearby caches while enjoying the scenery and taking happy snaps
Short walk in, and dropped a trackable

Nice hide in a great little natural park. Great spot to ride your mountain bike to.
Our last day in Tenterfield and our last cache find. It looks like it would have been a lovely park once upon a time, we enjoyed wandering around.

It is there.
Found the cache slighly out of it's spot with the lid wide open. All the cool swag is gone and has been replaced with 20c - The logbook is fine - I dont think the cache has been out in the open long. Put back in it's place with a rock on top.
